Abstract

Les familles de milieux populaires de Mumbai semblent présentement affectées par deux types de phénomènes évolutifs. Les premiers sont très lents. Ils ne paraissent pas bouleverser la structure ou l'existence des milieux familiaux. Au terme d'un demi-siècle de stabilisation, ces processus accompagnent une sorte d'âge d'or de la famille "ouvrière et populaire ". Les seconds types de changements s'inscrivent dans des processus de "massification" des attitudes et des moeurs familiales. Certains d'entre eux ouvrent sur des perspectives de crise. L'affirmation des femmes, l'autonomisation des jeunes et le développement des idéaux égalitaires, qui sont porteurs de nombreuses évolutions positives, semblent notamment capables d'induire de dangereuses tensions. Abstract

La concentration récente d'industries extractives et énergétiques de Singrauli (Inde du nord), est un lieu de migrations intenses, liées d'abord aux possibilités d'emploi salarié précaire, semi-précaire ou permanent. Les migrants y déploient des stratégies fort diverses, rarement sans effet sur la vie économique et l'évolution sociale. Si l'Etat et les grandes entreprises publiques ou privées contrôlent sévèrement le territoire, ils n'ont guère de pouvoir sur le flot migratoire. L'absence de politique de formation écarte toute perspective régulationiste. Une des conséquences est le surgissement de mouvements opposant les autochtones, moins armés pour la concurrence, à plusieurs sortes de migrants et aux autorités, dans la perspective de quotas d'embauche. Abstract

Yersinia pseudotuberculosis is an enteric pathogen causing mild enteritis that can lead to mesenteric adenitis in children and septicemia in elderly patients. Most cases are sporadic, but outbreaks have already been described in different countries. We report for the first time a Y. pseudotuberculosis clonal outbreak in France, that occurred in 2020. An epidemiological investigation based on food queries pointed toward the consumption of tomatoes as the suspected source of infection. The Yersinia National Reference Laboratory (YNRL) developed a new cgMLST scheme with 1,921 genes specific to Y. pseudotuberculosis that identified the clustering of isolates associated with the outbreak and allowed to perform molecular typing in real time. In addition, this method allowed to retrospectively identify isolates belonging to this cluster from earlier in 2020. This method, which does not require specific bioinformatic skills, is now used systematically at the YNRL and proves to display an excellent discriminatory power and is available to the scientific community. IMPORTANCE We describe in here a novel core-genome MLST method that allowed to identify in real time, and for the first time in France, a Y. pseudotuberculosis clonal outbreak that took place during the summer 2020 in Corsica. Our method allows to support epidemiological and microbiological investigations to establish a link between patients infected with closely associated Y. pseudotuberculosis isolates, and to identify the potential source of infection. In addition, we made this method available for the scientific community.

Abstract

During summer 2016, all the conditions for local mosquito-borne transmission of Zika virus (ZIKV) are met in mainland France: a competent vector, Aedes albopictus, a large number of travellers returning from ZIKV-affected areas, and an immunologically naive population. From 1 January to 15 July 2016, 625 persons with evidence of recent ZIKV infection were reported in mainland France.
