Artificial control of neuronal activity enables the study of neural circuits and restoration of neural functions. Direct, rapid, and sustained photocontrol of intact neurons could overcome the limitations of established electrical stimulation such as poor selectivity. We have developed fast photoswitchable ligands of glutamate receptors (GluRs) to enable neuronal control in the auditory system. The new photoswitchable ligands induced photocurrents in untransfected neurons upon covalently tethering to endogenous GluRs and activating them reversibly with visible light pulses of a few milliseconds. As a proof of concept of these molecular prostheses, we applied them to the ultrafast synapses of auditory neurons of the cochlea that encode sound and provide auditory input to the brain. This drug-based method afforded the optical stimulation of auditory neurons of adult gerbils at hundreds of hertz without genetic manipulation that would be required for their optogenetic control. Publisher Copyright: © 2022 The Authors This study establishes the photoelectrochromic properties of four diarylethene ionic liquids (DAE-ILs) composed of a diarylethene dicarboxylate (DAE) moiety, as counter-anion, and different organic cations ([C10mim]+, [C16Pyr] +, [N8,8,8,1]+, [P6,6,6,14]+). The synthetized ILs viscous fluids maintain the photochemical and electrochemical properties of this well-known family of photoswitches, as well as the typical features of ILs (e.g., low melting point, and high thermal and electrochemical stability). Our strategy of making multi-stimuli-responsive ionic liquids by ionic exchange opens the door to easily tune the physicochemical properties of smart DAE-ILs in function of the selected cation. Finally, those DAE-ILs are used to formulate smart ionogels (IGs), a type of materials that, by showing good conductive properties and retaining the stimuli-responsive behavior of the embedded DAE molecules, allow the fabrication of photoelectrochemical devices. publishersversion published

La nostra experiència se centra en les àrees de millora del servei de formació als usuaris al llarg dels anys 2020 i 2021. A partir dels objectius proposats al grup, es realitza una anàlisi de l’estat de la qüestió. De manera simultània, l’alarma sanitària pel COVID-19 genera noves dinàmiques de treball en la formació d’usuaris. La suma de estos hechos y la capacidad de innovación del grupo generan una serie de propuestas de mejora, en las que destaca la creación de un nuevo modelo organizativo, un modelo que implica una nueva filosofía en la generación de materiales, en la comunicación de los formadores y en la gestión del servicio., [eng] The improvement areas of the Learning and Research Resource Centre (CRAI) of the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) respond to a process management model implemented in 2011. The UB is committed to the model of excellence and EFQM quality to know and ensure management results at all levels. Our experience focuses on the areas of improvement of the Information Literacy service to users throughout the years 2020 and 2021. Based on the objectives proposed to the group, an analysis of the state of the matter is carried out. At the same time, COVD-19 health crisis generates new ways of working in user training. The sum of these facts and the group's capacity for innovation generate a series of improvement proposals, where the creation of a new organizational model stands out, which involves a new philosophy in the generation of materials, in the communication of trainers and in service management.

[cat] Arrel d’una experiència prèvia consistent en la creació d’un videojoc en format web ambientat en una biblioteca universitària, el CRAI Biblioteca del Campus de Mundet ha fet una iteració d’aquesta activitat aprofitant l’oportunitat de disposar d’un desenvolupador de videojocs en format mòbil en conveni de pràctiques. En aquesta ocasió, el producte que es va dissenyar i desenvolupar va ser un videojoc d’exploració de ciència ficció en perspectiva isomètrica (informalment anomenada 2,5D) per a dispositius mòbils amb sistema operatiu Android. El videojoc està ambientat en una versió futurista de l’any 2049 del CRAI Biblioteca del Campus de Mundet de la Universitat de Barcelona i posa el jugador en el paper d’una alumna de les Facultats de Psicologia o d’Educació de la UB que descobreix una sinistra conspiració. El objetivo de este videojuego es que los usuarios de la biblioteca se familiaricen con los diferentes espacios de ésta., [eng] As a result of a previous experience consisting in the creation of a video game in web format set in an academic library, the Mundet Campus CRAI Library has carried out an iteration of this activity, taking advantage of the opportunity of a mobile games developer internship. This time, the product designed and developed was a science fiction exploration video game in isometric perspective (2.5D) for mobile devices running an Android operating system. The video game is set in a futuristic version of the Mundet Campus CRAI Library of the University of Barcelona in the year 2049 and puts the player in the role of a student from the UB's Faculties of Psychology or Education who discovers a sinister conspiracy. The objective of this video game is for library users to become familiar with its different spaces.

El 2018 es va implementar al CRAI Biblioteca del Campus de Mundet de la Universitat de Barcelona, dins d’un pla de captació i de fidelització dels usuaris que incloïa altres accions com, per exemple, la ludificació. La prova pilot es va realitzar durant 9 mesos a través de l’aplicació WhatsApp Business. S’ha publicitat a través de cartells, a les sessions de formació reglada i a través de vídeos d’elaboració pròpia. L’oferta del servei és molt àmplia (consultes, informació, gestions, grups de difusió i activitats de ludificació) i està recolzada amb el compliment del Reglamento General de Protección de Datos (RGPD) pel tractament de les dades personals. Al llarg d’un període de prova de nou mesos, la valoració ha estat molt positiva: s’han rebut 873 consultes amb un total de 2453 missatges. El 50% estan relacionades amb qüestions bàsiques (horaris, préstec, renovacions, etc.), el 21% amb les activitats de ludificació i el 7% amb bases de dades i citacions bibliogràfiques en format APA. [cat] Entre abril i juny de 2019, el CRAI Biblioteca del Campus de Mundet (CBCM) va organitzar l’escape room Misteri a Mundet amb l’objectiu d’acostar-se als usuaris i presentar els espais del CBCM d’una forma lúdica. Es tractava d’una activitat no competitiva, en la que els grups participants havien de resoldre un misteri relacionat amb la història del Campus de Mundet i la de l’edifici on es troba ubicat el CBCM. L’activitat es va desenvolupar en dues edicions, constituïdes per una prova pilot i sis sessions, registrant una participació total de 134 persones, entre estudiants, professorat i amics/familiars. Les inscripcions i la comunicació amb els participants es van dur terme mitjançant el servei de WhatsApp del CBCM. L’experiència va assolir l’objectiu fixat i va contribuir al reforçament de la imatge del CBCM i de la marca CRAI UB, aconseguint un grau de satisfacció elevat entre tots els participants., [spa] Entre abril y junio de 2019, el CRAI Biblioteca del Campus de Mundet (CBCM) organizó el escape room Misteri a Mundet con el objetivo de acercarse a los usuarios y presentar los espacios del CBCM de una forma lúdica. La actividad se desarrolló en dos ediciones, constituidas por una prueba piloto y seis sesiones, registrando una participación total de 134 personas, entre estudiantes, profesorado y amigos/familiares. Las inscripciones y la comunicación con los participantes se llevaron a cabo mediante el Servicio de WhatsApp del CBCM. La experiencia logró la consecución del objetivo establecido y contribuyó al refuerzo de la imagen del CBCM y de la marca CRAI UB, obteniendo un grado de satisfacción elevado entre todos los participantes., [eng] Between April and June 2019, the CRAI Biblioteca del Campus de Mundet (CBCM) has organised a Room Escape (called “Misteri a Mundet”) with the objectives of getting closer to the users and present in a playful way the CBCM spaces. Two editions of the activity were developed, comprising a test pilot and six sessions, registering a total assistance of 134 persons (divided in students, teachers and friends / family). Inscriptions and communications with the participants were done via the WhatsApp account of the CBCM. This experience achieved its objectives and contributed to the reinforcement of the CRAI UB’s image and brand. It obtained high rates among all participants.
