Les gestionnaires des ressources naturelles, ne voient generalement de la foret que la production du bois en occultant les dimensions symboliques de ces espaces. Les communautes vivant aux alentours de ces espaces forestiers ont un lien etroit avec les forets dont decoulent des representations specifiques qui influencent la gestion durable des forets. Cette recherche a pour objectif d’identifier les representations sociales et leur incidence sur la durabilite sociale de l’amenagement des forets classees des Monts Kouffe et de Wari-Maro. L’approche methodologique utilisee est mixte. Des questionnaires ont ete administres et des entretiens individuels et de groupe menes aupres de 224 acteurs choisis suivant un echantillonnage aleatoire stratifie et un choix raisonne dans une dizaine de villages riverains des deux forets classees. Les resultats montrent que les representations sociales de la foret sont multiples. Les communautes locales se representent la foret classee comme un bien naturel que l’Etat leur a arrache, ce qui a un impact sur les pratiques et usages qu’elles en ont et sur la durabilite sociale de l’amenagement forestier. Ensuite, les communautes riveraines se representent la foret comme un espace destine a leur permettre de satisfaire leurs besoins. Elles utilisent donc les ressources forestieres sans aucune consideration pour le plan d’amenagement en vigueur dans la mesure ou pour ces populations, la foret appartient a Dieu. Etant egalement consideree comme une zone d’insecurite, l’utilite de la foret est souvent remise en cause. The managers of natural resources, generally see only the forest as the production of wood by obscuring the symbolic dimensions of these spaces. The communities living around these forest areas have a close link with the forests from which arise specific representations that influence the sustainable management of forests. This research aims to identify social representations and their impact on the social sustainability of the management of the classified forests of the Monts Kouffe and Wari-Maro. The methodological approach used is mixed. Questionnaires were administered and individual and group interviews carried out with 224 actors chosen according to a stratified random sampling and a reasoned choice in ten villages bordering the two classified forests. The results show that the social representations of the forest are multiple. Local communities see the classified forest as a natural asset that the state has taken from them, which has an impact on the practices and uses they have of it and on the social sustainability of forest management. Next, the riparian communities see the forest as a space intended to enable them to meet their needs. They therefore use forest resources without any consideration for the current management plan, since for these populations the forest belongs to God. Being also considered an area of insecurity, the usefulness of the forest is often questioned.

Les entrepreneurs sont confrontés aux problèmes de fonctionnalité de leurs entreprises qui cachent celui de la préparation à la création de l’entreprise et celui de l’organisation des entreprises. Or, la création des entreprises résulte d’une diversité de trajectoires des entrepreneurs. Aussi, l’objectif de cette recherche est-il d’analyser les liens entre les trajectoires professionnelles et la fonctionnalité des entreprises, la préparation à la création et l’organisation des entreprises. Pour ce faire, elle s’appuie sur une approche méthodologique basée sur une recherche quantitative menée auprès de 246 entrepreneurs choisis aléatoirement. L’analyse de dispersion des séquences a permis de mesurer la force des liaisons. Il apparaît que sur les 235 entrepreneurs ayant décrit leurs trajectoires professionnelles, 200 soit 85% des entrepreneurs ont leurs entreprises fonctionnelles tandis que 35 soit 15% n’ont pas leurs entreprises fonctionnelles. De plus, les trajectoires professionnelles ont une incidence statistiquement significative sur la fonctionnalité des entreprises, la préparation à l’entrepreneuriat et l’organisation des entreprises. Entrepreneurs face the enterprises functionality problems which conceal the enterprises creation preparing problem and the enterprises organizing problem. However, the creation of companies results from a diversity of entrepreneurs trajectories. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the links between professional trajectories and the companies functionality, creation preparation and companies organization. To do this, a methodological approach based on quantitative research is conducted with 246 randomly selected entrepreneurs. The discrepancy analysis of state sequences is made to release the strength of the bonds. It appears that of the 235 entrepreneurs who described their professional trajectories, 200 or 85% of entrepreneurs have their businesses functional while 35 or 15% do not have their businesses functional. In addition, professional trajectories have statistically a significant impact on the enterprises functionality, preparation for entrepreneurship and the enterprises organization.

L’artiste plasticien apparaît dans les représentations sociales au Bénin comme « cet homme » qui aurait socialement échoué et qui trouve refuge dans l’art plastique. De ce fait, il se pose la question centrale de savoir si l’artiste est socialement représenté par les artistes plasticiens. Cette recherche vise à étudier les représentations sociales de l’artiste afin d’apprécier l’appartenance de l’artiste plasticien à son statut et à son contenu. Pour ce faire, une approche pluri-méthodologique fondée sur l’analyse prototypique, l’analyse de questionnaire de caractérisation et le contrôle de la centralité a été menée. Ces analyses ont abouti à la conclusion que le noyau central de la représentation sociale reste l’artiste musicien. L’artiste plasticien et les éléments entrant en ligne de sa définition, s’avèrent être des éléments qui gravitent autour des contenants périphériques.Mots-clés : Représentation sociale, artiste, artiste plasticien, noyau, éléments périphériques. The social representations stakes in Benin: Is visual artist really an artist?The visual artist appears in many ways as this man who has socially failed and who finds refuge in the contemporary art. As a result, the central question is whether the artist is socially represented by visual artists. This question led to study the artist's social representations in order to appreciate the artist's belonging to his content. To do this, a multi-methodological approach based on prototypical analysis, characterization analysis and control of centrality was conducted. As results, the central core of the social representation remains the musician. La gestion du pouvoir politique dans la commune de Dogbo laisse apparaître des discriminations sociales en défaveur des femmes en dépit des nombreuses politiques allant dans le sens de la promotion du genre. Pour mieux expliquer cet état de chose, cette recherche s’attache à décrire et à analyser les déterminants sociaux de la faible participation des femmes au processus de gestion du pouvoir politique local.Cette recherche, de type qualitatif, a été réalisée auprès de 53 enquêtés constitués sur la base des techniques d’échantillonnage à choix raisonné.Les résultats révèlent que les femmes de Dogbo sont presque absentes dans l’arène politique de cette commune. Cette situation s’explique par des déterminants sociaux qui sont entre autres, l’organisation sociopolitique de la commune, le système du régime patriarcal, le statut matrimonial de la femme, la capacité économique et financière de celle-ci et les perceptions du pouvoir politique par les acteurs sociaux.Mots clés: Femmes, participation, pouvoir politique, DogboEnglish Title: Social determinants of the women absence in the Dogbo political arenaEnglish AbstractThe management of the political power in the township of Dogbo engenders social discriminations towards women in spite of various policies in favor of women promotion. This research work intends to describe and analyze social determinants that characterize the little involvement of women in the process of management of the local political power in order to better explain such a situation.This research, of essentially qualitative type, has been conducted on 53 investigated persons composed of the sampling techniques of reasonable choice.The results reveal that the women of Dogbo are nearly absent in the political arena of this township. This situation shows social determinants such as socio-political organization of the township, the system of the patriarchal régime, the woman's matrimonial status, the economic and financial capacity of the later and the perceptions of the political power by the social actors.Keywords: Women, involvement, political power, Dogbo

Uncle Dave Macon provided an essential link between nineteenth-century, urban popular stage music (especially the minstrel show and vaudeville) and commercialized country music of the 1920s. He preserved through his recordings a large body of songs and banjo techniques that had their origins in urban-based, nineteenth-century vaudeville and minstrelsy. Like the minstrel and vaudeville performers of the nineteenth century, Macon told jokes and stories, employed attention-grabbing stage gimmicks, marketed himself with boastful or outrageous slogans, and dressed with individual flair. At the same time, Macon incorporated many features from the rural-based folk music of Middle Tennessee. Overall, Macon’s repertoire, musical style, and stage persona (which included elements of the rube, country gentleman, and old man) demonstrated his deep absorption, and subsequent reinterpretation, of nineteenth-century musical traditions. Macon’s career offers a case study in how nineteenth-century performance styles, repertoire, and stage practices became a part of country music in the 1920s. As an artist steeped in two separate, but overlapping, types of nineteenth-century music—stage and folk—Macon was well-positioned to influence the development of the new commercial genre. He brought together several strains of nineteenth-century music to form a modern, twentieth-century musical product ideally suited to the new mass media of records, radio, and film. By tracing Macon’s career and studying his music, we can observe how the cross-currents of rural and popular entertainment during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries interacted to form the commercial genre we now know as country music.
