Vestibular disorders in childhood may lead to avoidance behaviours, with associated adverse effects, and thus rapid diagnosis is important. This study aims to translate to European Portuguese and culturally adapt the "Vanderbilt Pediatric Dizziness Handicap Inventory for Patient caregivers" (DHI-PC) questionnaire to Portugal. The methodological sequence used was based on the steps recommended in the international literature. Three focus groups were conducted to evaluate the preservation of the construct and the correct understanding of sentences and expressions. The team responsible for the adaptation reached consensus taking into account the changes discussed in the focus groups, with the purpose of achieving semantic, idiomatic, experimental, and conceptual equivalence, which would ensure an accurate translation and an adequate cultural adaptation. For its use in clinical practice, validation of the instrument will be carried out in a second phase. Este trabalho tem como objetivo a tradução para português europeu e adaptação cultural para Portugal do questionário “Vanderbilt Pediatric Dizziness Handicap Inventory for Patient caregivers” (DHI-PC). A sequência metodológica utilizada foi baseada nas recomendações da literatura internacional. Foram realizados três grupos focais para avaliar a preservação do constructo e a correta compreensão de frases e expressões. A equipa responsável pela adaptação chegou a consenso tendo em conta as alterações discutidas nos grupos focais, com o objetivo de conseguir uma equivalência semântica, idiomática, experimental e conceptual, que garantisse uma tradução precisa e uma adaptação cultural adequada. Para a sua utilização na prática clínica, a validação do instrumento será realizada numa segunda fase.

Since then, there has been a shift from analogue devices to digital ones. We are now in the digital era, in which people, processes, and technologies are more connected than ever. Information is everywhere, in everything. Enterprises are investing more in innovations to optimize their business models. Technologies such as the Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Cloud Computing are revolutionizing the way enterprises, academia, and politicians think and act in the face of innovation. It is the beginning of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The proposed study makes use of factor and cluster analysis to evaluate what the dimensions are that characterize the implementation of Industry 4.0 in different economic sectors and European Union countries. The study also tackles how the diverse sectors and countries compare to one another and, consequently, which of the two groups – sectors or countries – influence more strongly the discrepancies in Industry 4.0 implementation levels.

Mestrado em Engenharia Florestal e dos Recursos Naturais - Instituto Superior de Agronomia The Cabeça Gorda and Salvada forest is an area approximately 320 hectares of pine, oaks, eucalyptus, scrub, and grassland, under public administration and subject to partial forestry regime since 1960. In 2009 an agreement was signed between the National Forest Authority and the two owners, the parish councils of Cabeça Gorda and Salvada, in order to transfer management responsibility and administration from the first organization to the other two. This thesis is a contribution to establish a framework to multifunctional forest management of that area whose primary function is to protect water and soil and provide recreation conditions to the populations living in the surroundings. Some proposals are presented: lines of action considering the different functions of the forest such as protection, conservation, recreation, landscape service, production of wood and non-wood products as well as social and educational activities. Forest management systems certification requirements from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), have been tested as an exercise to characterize responsible (sustainable) forest management under the conditions of the Cabeça Gorda and Salvada forest. Several measures which are deemed essential to achieve sustainable forest management in the study area are presented.
