The Land Deed Official (PPAT) often finds themselves as the defendant in legal cases. One notable example is the decision from the Makassar District Court No. 126/Pdt.G/2019/PN Mks. The purpose of this research is to analyze the responsibilities of the Land Deed Official (PPAT) when the deed they have prepared is declared null and void by law. This study employs a normative legal research approach, utilizing both legislative and case study methods. The legal materials for this research consist of primary legal materials and secondary legal materials, which will be analyzed using systematic interpretation and grammatical interpretation techniques. The findings indicate that the PPAT, as a public official responsible for drafting the Sale and Purchase Deed in Decision No. 126/Pdt.G/2019/PN Mks, must be accountable for the deed they create from an administrative perspective. This deed was declared null and void due to the failure to meet the contractual elements; consequently, the PPAT faced only administrative sanctions based on the ruling.

This development research aims to (1) Know the practicality of learning media based on the wick editor to be used in the learning process on the material of arithmetic rows and series (2) Know the response of students to the use of learning media in the classroom; and (3) Improve students' creative thinking skills to solve problems related to mathematics This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study with the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques used interviews, validation, student response questionnaires, and student creative thinking ability questionnaires. Validation was carried out by academics and practitioners, as well as students' responses. The wick editor-based learning media developed was tested on 34 students of class VIII at senior high school. The results of material expert validation obtained an average score of 82.95% with very valid criteria. The practicality of the media obtained from the student response questionnaire obtained an average score of 90% with very practical criteria. The effectiveness of the media is obtained from the average results of the questionnaire of students' thinking skills with an average N-Gain score of 0.75 with a high category.

This study aims to examine students' computational thinking skills in solving contextual problems in the matter of a system of two-variable linear equations. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects used in this study were 25 class VIII students of State Middle School in the 2022/2023 academic year on SPLDV material (System of Two-Variable Linear Equations). Data collection techniques and instruments in this study were written tests and interviews. Data analysis was carried out by first classifying the data, then presenting the data and ending by concluding the results of computational thinking indicators. The results showed that the percentage of students' computational thinking aspects, namely the decomposition aspect, was 70.30% in the good category, pattern recognition 58.63% sufficient category, abstraction 58.30% sufficient category, and thinking algorithm 50.47% sufficient category. So that students' computational thinking skills are included in the sufficient category. Meanwhile, based on the categorization of high-level students they have done well. However, there were several steps that were missed and not written down in the answer sheets, such as the decomposition and pattern recognition aspects which were not carried out properly. For the medium category, all stages of computational thinking have been carried out very well starting from decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and thinking algorithms. For the low category, this category has not been able to carry out the stages of computational thinking properly.

This community service activity aims to describe improving teacher skills in making Android-based learning media containing AKM questions. The method of the service program was carried out with pre-activity procedures, implementation of activities which included training and mentoring, and evaluation. The instrument for evaluating this activity used a questionnaire and was analyzed descriptively. This service's results showed that teachers could create Android-based learning media. The questionnaire results distributed to teachers as training participants were the Kodular application used to develop media that was easy to use and attractive in terms of appearance. The results of the questionnaire given to students after the trial were that students were interested in learning to use Android-based media because it was practical and easy to access at any time. In addition, through Android-based media, it was easy for students to answer AKM-type questions, so as many as 84% of students passed the AKM.

Representation is a tool to solve a problem in the form of interpretation of what students think of a problem in the form of visual, verbal, and algebraic or symbolic representations. Solving non-routine problems in mathematics learning requires high order thinking skills (HOTS). Solving student problems, both routine and non-routine problems can be influenced by the ability of students to process existing problems into a challenge that must be passed, which is called Adversity Quotient. The purpose of this study was to describe the process of visual to verbal mathematical representation of junior high school students in solving HOTS questions in terms of the adversity quotient. The research uses a qualitative approach, the type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data obtained in the form of written test results data, questionnaire results data and interview data will be submitted in written or oral form in narrative form. The instruments used are in the form of tests and questionnaires. The result show that the subject representation process with the adversity quotient level for the climber category has met the representation process indicators well in the three HOTS questions that were worked on. Subjects with the adversity quotient level in the camper category have not been able to meet the indicators of the representation process in the HOTS problem of creating.

Literasi matematis merupakan kemampuan individu dalam menggunakan dan menginterpretasikan matematika ke dalam berbagai situasi pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis dilakukan dengan mengembangkan handout yang bercirikan kearifan lokal Malang Raya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan handout matematika bercirikan kearifan lokal untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini antara lain lembar validasi untuk memperoleh penilaian kevalidan handout, lembar soal pre-test dan post-test untuk mengetahui keefektifan handout, dan lembar angket respon siswa untuk mengetahui kepraktisan handout. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan handout matematika bercirikan kearifan lokal bersifat valid, efektif dan praktis dengan perolehan skor kevalidan media sebesar 4,34375 dari 5, skor kevalidan materi sebesar 4,60526 dari 5, skor keefektifan dengan kenaikan nilai sebesar 25,625, dan skor kepraktisan sebesar 4,3125 dari 5. Abstract Mathematical literacy is an individual's capacity to formulate, use and interpret mathematics in various situations in everyday life. In order to improve students' mathematical literacy skills, this was done by developing handouts that were characterized by local wisdom of Malang Raya. The aim of this research is to develop mathematics handouts characterized by local wisdom to improve mathematical literacy skills that are valid, practical, and effective. The type of research used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model. The research subjects were students in X grade which amounted to 33 students. The research instruments used in this study included validation sheets to obtain an assessment of the validity of the handouts, pre-test and post-test question sheets to determine the effectiveness of the handouts, and student response questionnaires to determine the practicality of the handouts. The results showed that the development of mathematical handouts characterized by local wisdom was valid, effective and practical with the acquisition of a media validity score of 4.34375 out of 5, the material validity score of 4.60526 out of 5, the effectiveness score with an increase in value of 25.625, and a score of practicality of 4,3125 out of 5. The Tawang Selubang Forest, located in the Other Use Area (APL) is determined by the regional government of Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan as the Hutan Tutupan (forest cover). This forest has great benefits for the community, one of which is as a source of medicinal plants. This research aims to identify the potential species of medicinal plants in the Tawang Selubang Forest Cover. Inventory of potential medicinal plants is done by making a square (0.5 Ha) cluster design (100 mx 100 m) in which there are 5 circular plots. Each plot contained several circular subplots that functioned for observation of seedling level (r= 1 m), stake (r= 2 m), pole (r= 5 m) and tree (r= 17.8 m). The number of plant species found in the Tawang Selawang Forest Cover were 47 species and 27 species were medicinal plants. Some species of medicinal plants that have a high density and important value index are Xanthophyllum amoenum Chadat, Antidesma montanum Blume, Nephelium maingayi Hiern, Palaquium gutta (Hook.) Baill and Syzygium lineatum (DC.) Merr. & J.Parn .

This research aimed at discovering the validity and effectiveness of the interactive media of "Venn Gram" to improve the conceptual understanding of the set operations. This research was a development research (research and development). The research subjects were the students of 7th grade who consisted of nine students. The data collection techniques were in the form of a validation questionnaire and test. The subjects were in the form of pre-test and post-test questions which later the answer sheets were used as an increase of students' conceptual understanding before and after using the media. The validation questionnaire results showed that 84% of the media were very valid, 83% of the material was very valid, and 82% of the test questions were very valid. The test results found that seven students experienced an increase in the pre-test and post-test scores. Meanwhile, two other students experienced a decrease. The results of students who had increased showed that the ability of students in understanding the concept of set operations was included in the high criteria before and after using the media. The media of the Venn Gram can be used to improve the conceptual understanding of set operations.

The purpose of this study was developing an interactive instructional media using Adobe Flash in a form of the game at the geometry lesson (cube and cuboid) and analyzing the effectiveness of the media. The type of this study was Research and Development (R&D). The media development was started from potential and problem phase, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product trial. The instruments of the study were the questionnaire validation and the questionnaire response of teacher and students. The results showed that development of interactive instructional media using Adobe Flash in a form of the game was valid. The average score of material expert was 3.43 and the average score of media expert was 3.61. The effectiveness of the media using Adobe Flash in a form of the game was effective. It was based on the score of teacher’s response was 78.57% and the score of students’ response was 86.42%.

This research aimed at describing the development process and the effectiveness of mathematics media using comics based on algebraic literacy for 7th-grade students of junior high school (SMP). The kind of research, that conducted, was Research and Development (R&D) by using the ADDIE model. In which the model was Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The media was tested into 24 students of 7th-grade. The average result of the media validation test both the validators were 3,7 in which is categorized as very valid with a feasible description to be tested. While the average result of material validation was 3,39 which is categorized as very valid with a feasible description to be tested. The effectiveness analysis result obtained that the students gave very positive responses with the obtained percentages of 85,21% and the mastery percentages of the class were 87,5% ineffective category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the comics based on algebraic literacy is effective to be used in algebra material for 7th-grade students SMP.

This research aimed at describing the implementation of TPS learning model using Realistic Mathematics Approach in solving problems. The type of research was qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were the students of class 8-I that consisted of 20 students. The data collection methods that used in this research were: 1) observation, 2) test, 3) interview, and 4) documentation. The research results indicated that the learning used the TPS model using the Realistic Mathematics Approach in the geometry material of prism and pyramid during four-time meetings overall could be conducted based on what had been planned. The learning stages are adjusted to the students’ learning activities in order to improve the students’ thinking abilities and skills to solve the problems. The students’ mathematical problem-solving ability was high categorized after the implementation of this learning model. It was proven by the test results which indicated that the students were able to master the three important stage namely understanding the problems, planning the completion, and implementing the plans. The understanding stage was by writing down the information from the problems and the information that had been asked from the question very well. In the planning stage, the students also could write down the information into the mathematical model and plan the completion strategy even though it was not complete enough. Therefore, in the model of implementing the plan, the students were able to implement the completion based on the plans and get the results.

This paper presents the investigation of surface geology and subsurface engineering geology to analyze the excavation method and stand-up time of the DK99-DK100 Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway Tunnel, Indonesia. Rock mass quality, tunnel excavation method, and stand-up time determined using Geological Strength Index (GSI), Basic Quality (BQ) systems, converted to Rock Mass Rating (RMR) and The Japan Society of Civil Engineering (JSCE) for comparison. The result shows that the study area consists of slightly to completely weathered andesite breccia and slightly weathered andesite lava. The rock masses at the tunnel elevation had very poor to poor quality and were associated with high weathering degrees. The recommended rock excavation method based on the GSI is digging. The recommended tunnel excavation method based on RMR is multiple drifts, top heading, and bench, while based on JSCE is bench cut method. The tunnel stand-up time is 30 minutes - 2 hours based on the RMR, while it is predicted to be unstable without support based on the BQ. The recommended design is expected to be applied effectively according to the geological conditions. It is expected to understand better the tunnel excavation method in poor rock masses, especially in Indonesia.

Masalah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini, peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) terkait materi lingkaran, ini terjadi karena rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik tergolong rendah sampai sedang. Salah satu alternatif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah menerapkan model pembelajaran Group Investigation. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam memahami materi lingkaran melalui metode pembelajaran Group Investigation. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu, tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan lembar tes. Bahan ajar adalah Unit Kegiatan Belajar Mandiri (UKBM) dengan materi lingkaran. Pada siklus pertama kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sebesar 48,90% dengan kriteria sedang, pada sikus kedua kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik meningkat menjadi 74,34% dengan kriteria tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sebesar 25,44%.

To ensure that only high-quality seed is marketed, the seed inspector of the registered forestry-seed commercial providers plays a vital role. It will perform all the necessary tasks, including variety inspection, release testing of seed processing, and enforcement of the seed regulation. The registered forestry-seed commercial providers should conform to seed standards. Currently, the availability of high-quality seeds is crucial to achieve predictable planting. In case of unavailability of sufficient qualities standard, the seed inspector allowed for operating the punishment act. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate both the seed inspector and the registered forestry-seed commercial providers to indicate that the seed-regulations implementation is successful. Data are collected by spreading questionnaire and using a narrative-based qualitative method. The result confirms that policy formulation is a challenge to the regulators, but processes effectively tackle this challenge in four sequence stages. The first stage is the problem formulation about seed-sources development, seed variety coordination at permanent nurseries, law reinforcement, and regulator role strengthening. The second stage is policy agenda through controlling over market opportunities by the regulator. The third stage is selecting alternative policies to solve problems by implementing the cluster system based on local-seed variety. The fourth stage is establishing procedures.

Hypoxia in endometriosis will increase the expression of Hypoxia Inducible Factor-1alpha (HIF1alpha) and its expression could be decreased by Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO). This study aimed to analyze the effect of HBO 2.4 ATA for 3x30 minutes per day for 10 days on the expression of HIF-1 alpha and endometriotic tissue size on mice model of endometriosis. This study was an experimental laboratory study with a separate pretest-posttest control group design. The mice were divided into three groups, the first was a pretest control group (which describes the condition after endometrium transplantation), the second was the endometriotic group that received hyperbaric oxygen, and the third was the endometriotic group that did not receive hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The endometriosis implant size in the peritoneal tissue was assessed and the immunohistochemistry examination was conducted to determine the expression of HIF-1 alpha. The endometriosis tissue size was reduced in the HBO group compared to the control and nonHBO group. The lowest expression of HIF-1 alpha was significantly found in HBO over the other group. The decrease of HIF1 alpha expression mediates the reduction of size endometriotic tissue due to the therapy of HBO.

Market conventional system given organic waste can be used for liquid of organic fertilizer. The research of liquid of organic fertilizer was carried out on Setaria Splendida Stapf that defoliated at different ages. The design used is a Completely Randomized Design. The treatments given are 3 (three) mixtures of liquid of organic fertilizer with water, namely 1: 1, 1: 2 and 1: 3 (liquid of organic fertilizer: water) and defoliation age, 35, 40 and 45 days. Each combination treatment was repeated 3 times on a 1 x 2 meter plot. The agronomic parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, number of leaves, area of canopy and weed growth. The results of the study were analyzed by means of a Completely Randomized Design, continued with a regression test. The results of the analysis show that the older defoliation age shows the agronomic aspects of Setaria Splendida Stapf grass which are getting better while the doses of liquid of organic fertilizer are getting runny, the growth rate decreases. The best agronomic level obtained at the age of defoliation is getting older (45 days) with fertilization from liquid of organic fertilizer resulting from more concentrated waste of market conventional system (1:1).

Pembelajaran matematika yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 06 Batu masih berupa pembelajaran langsung yang membuat siswa terbatasi idenya dan tidak mengkonstruksi pengetahuan. Penerapan pendekatan saintifik kurang optimal karena baru diterapkan di sekolah tersebut. Tujuan kegiatan Lesson Study ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran saintifik. Kegiatan Lesson Study dilakukan dengan tahapan plan, do, dan see selama empat siklus. Pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran didiskusikan pada tahap plan kemudian dilaksanakan pada tahap do oleh guru model dan dievaluasi pada tahap see. Hasil kegiatan Lesson Study ini yaitu masih adanya miskonsepsi istilah variabel dan pengurangan suku aljabar oleh guru dan siswa. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sesuai aspek fluency, flexibility, dan originality dengan kriteria peningkatan yang baik di setiap siklus. Pendekatan saintifik diterapkan dengan sangat baik di setiap siklus.

In Western countries, cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death and it is expected that it will continue to be so in the near future.(1) If the resulting physical impairment and psychosocial disturbances are also taken into account, clearly this is a serious problem from the viewpoint of productivity, quality of life, as well as community health level. Therefore the institution of preventive measures is an important issue. Unfortunately, however, currently preventive measures that are effective, safe, and at the same time practical and economical, are almost nonexistent.

The traditional market, everyday produces organic waste that could potentially give rise to pollution and disruption of human life. One of utilization that can be developed is to turn it into a liquid organic fertilizer and used in the cultivation of feed. Setaria splendida is a plant feed the forage can be given for all types of livestock. The research was done to get the best dosage of liquid organic fertilizer from traditional market waste. The treatment used is a mixture of liquid organic fertilizer for traditional market waste with water in comparison of 0:0, 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3. A Complete Random Design was used. Each treatment was repeated four times on a swath of size 1 × 1 square meters and data used the fourth defoliation age harvest every defoliation is 35 days. The parameters investigated is fresh forage production and carrying capacity for large and small cattle animals. The results showed the average production levels the range of 0.96375 kg – 1.083 kg per square meter, so it can be to maintain 13.38 – 15.04 head of cows or 53,52 – 60,16 head of goats per acre per year. The best treatment is a liquid organic fertilizer mixed with water comparison at 1:2.

There are hugh amount of traditional market organic wastes that may polute the environment. In general, the wastes are utilized for compost making and liquid fertilizer as well for plant. The use of liquid fertilizer from organic wastes of traditional markets opens up opportunities for misplaced cultivation of Setaria grass (Setaria splendida Stapf), which is required by ruminant farms. This research was conducted to evaluate the best mixture of water to the fertilizer in term of its effectiveness on the variables and experimental method using Completely Randomized Design. The treatments were: 6 doses of mixtures namely 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 liters of water, each of which was mixed with 10 liters of liquid fertilizer. The variables measured were the height, the numbers of tillers, the numbers of leaves, and canopy. The results of the study showed that the doses of water in the fertilizer did not indicate any significant differences (P > 0.05) on all variables being studied, however, the linear equation showed that greater concentrations of water in the fertilizer tended to decrease the growth of Setaria grass. Suggested use of water on the liquid fertilizer mixture should be not greater than 30 l – 10 l fertilizer.

Environment and corruption are two very popular concepts in the last few decades. Both reflect on the negative side in society. Environmental issues are becoming popular because of many environmental problems that arise not only locally, regionally or nationally but also in the international level. Likewise, corruption is widely discussed and demonstrated especially in Indonesia since the reform era, 1998. The relationship between environment and corruption is more of a causal relationship, where the environment plays a role, while corruption is the cause. The form of corruption that causes environmental damage is; 1) granting permission from regional heads to entrepreneurs who are bribed, so that provisions in the licensing process are not considered properly; 2) corruption in the Amdal process, in which employers give bribes to the parties involved in the Amdal process; 3) corruption of illegal levies against entrepreneurs so that entrepreneurs make compensation calculations by way of externality of production costs to the environment, as a consequence of high costs borne by the entrepreneurs. Some examples of corruption cases show the corruption of a certain kind has made the environment a victim. The environmental aspect should be considered in the judicial process of corruption cases that have an impact on the environment, so the public's concern for the environment is getting stronger.

Gold mining in Paningkaban Banyumas conducted by the community is called the People gold mining. At the beginning, many miners from outside the region have involved and transferred of method, technic and knowledge about gold mining to local people. The aim of the study is to identify the existing process of public gold mining. The method of the study is qualitative by using observation and interview. The result showed that the mining process are: 1. Determining the location of mining well; in this determination there are two references; rational and intuition 2. Mining; at this stage, a deep well is drawn about 50-100 meters that leads vertically and horizontally. It is the most high-risk stage because of work accidents that occurred and potentially environment destruction. 3. Pulverization; this stage is classified as the lowest level of difficulty and risk, therefore in this work many woman included. 4. Rolling; in this stage involves enough technology, electrical mechanic and energy with the dynamo and using mercury that potentially contaminate environment. 5. Filtering; this stage is a quite risky because the workers contact directly with mercury. 6. Burning; is the shortest process to separate mercury with gold grains. 7. Sales to local buyer guided by the international gold market in every Thursday.

The objectives of this research were to find out the level farmer’s motivation in the refunding their loan at Baitul Maal Watamil (BMT) and to determine factors are associated with the level of motivation. This research was held on 15 November 2011 to 15 Desember 2011 in Srikaton Village in Central Bengkulu Regency. The respondents of this research were taken by using census technique. The results of this research indicate that the level of motivations to repay the loans at Baitul Maal Watamil (BMT) could be categorized in medium level or quite good. Then the factors related to the level of farmers motivations in refunding the credit, there were three factors namely. First the level of farming experience. Second the value of collateral and the last level of farmers perceptions of BMT cooperative and the credit program of cooperative it self.

Background This study aimed to determine the accuracy of CYFRA 21-1 using urine creatinine correction (CYFRA/Cr) as a biomarker of endometriosis. Methods This study includes 73 patients from the Indonesian population, with 38 endometriosis and 35 non-endometriosis patients based on laparoscopy. Urine detection of CYFRA 21-1 was done by ELISA method and corrected by urine creatinine constant factor (CYFRA/Cr). Urine creatinine us detected using the ECLIA method. Results The CYFRA/Cr ratio was identified in the proliferative and secretory phases. CYFRA 21-1 and CYFRA/Cr levels were significantly higher in endometriosis and were higher in the proliferative phase compared to the secretory phase. The best accuracy was obtained in CYFRA which was corrected with urine creatinine in the proliferative phase with a sensitivity value, specificity, and cutoff value of 94.7%, 94.4%, and of 3,547.99 ng/gr, respectively, compared to CYFRA 21-1 urine levels without correction of creatinine. Conclusions The CYFRA to creatinine urine ratio detected in the proliferative phase showed the optimum sensitivity and specificity compared to CYFRA 21-1 spot urine. It has the potential to be a biomarker of endometriosis.

Abstract Background Current efforts are underway to quantify the chemical concentration in a treated air space that elicits a spatial repellent (deterrent) response in a vector population. Such information will facilitate identifying the optimum active ingredient (AI) dosage and intervention coverage important for the development of spatial repellent tools – one of several novel strategies being evaluated for vector-borne disease control. This study reports initial findings from air sampling experiments conducted under field conditions to describe the relationship between air concentrations of repellent AIs and deterrent behavior in the dengue vector, Aedes aegypti. Methods Air samples were taken inside and outdoors of experimental huts located in Pu Tuey Village, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand in conjunction with mosquito behavioral evaluations. A mark-release-recapture study design using interception traps was used to measure deterrency of Ae. aegypti against 0.00625% metofluthrin coils and DDT-treated fabric (2g/m2) within separate experimental trials. Sentinel mosquito cohorts were positioned adjacent to air sampling locations to monitor knock down responses to AI within the treated air space. Air samples were analyzed using two techniques: the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Compendium Method TO-10A and thermal desorption (TD). Results Both the USEPA TO-10A and TD air sampling methods were able to detect and quantify volatized AIs under field conditions. Air samples indicated concentrations of both repellent chemicals below thresholds required for toxic responses (mortality) in mosquitoes. These concentrations elicited up to a 58% and 70% reduction in Ae. aegypti entry (i.e., deterrency) into treated experimental huts using metofluthrin coils and DDT-treated fabric, respectively. Minimal knock down was observed in sentinel mosquito cohorts positioned adjacent to air sampling locations during both chemical evaluations. Conclusions This study is the first to describe two air sampling methodologies that are appropriate for detecting and quantifying repellent chemicals within a treated air space during mosquito behavior evaluations. Results demonstrate that the quantity of AI detected by the mosquito vector, Ae. aegypti, that elicits repellency is far lower than that needed for toxicity. These findings have important implications for evaluation and optimization of new vector control tools that function through mosquito behavior modification as opposed to mortality.

Endometriosis is a significant reproductive health issue with pain being the primaru symptom. The complex pain in endometriosis involves the activation of macrophages, inflammatory activators such as NF-kB, neural growth factors (NGF), cytokines, adhesive molecules (ICAM-1), and mediators (PGE2) which they are stimulate sensory nerve fibers and produce nociceptive signals. This study is aim for investigate the effect of Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) administration on the expression of NF-kB, NGF, and PGE2 concentration in a mouse model of endometriosis. Thirty-three mices were randomly divided into 3 groups consist non-endometriosis (P0), endometriosis without treatment (P1), and endometriosis with MSC administration (P2). The results showed MSC administration significantly reduced the expression of NF-kB by found scoring 2 groups (P1: 6.96 ± 0.13 and P2: 4.446 ± 0.228) and NGF (P1: 7.118 ± 0.629 and P2: 4.927 ± 1.187) also PGE2 (P1:1005.862 ± 176.656 and P2: 891.218 ± 54.031. In onclusion, this study demonstrates that MSC administration can able reduce the expression of NF-kB and NGF, but not to PGE2. The suggestion we can said is the MSC have potential therapeutic value in managing endometriosis-asssosciated pain by modulating inflammatory and neurotrophic factors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Arterial and venous thrombotic events in COVID-19 cause significant morbidity and mortality. For optimal thromboprophylaxis treatment for hospitalized patients, especially those with severe COVID-19 symptoms, it is still unclear whether to use full- or therapeutic-dose versus prophylactic-dose anticoagulation therapy. The study aim was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of unfractionated heparin (UFH) for thromboprophylaxis in severe degree of COVID-19. Methodology: In this cross-sectional study, the medical records of 160 COVID-19 patients at the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Wisma Atlet, Jakarta, from March to August 2021, were collected. The predetermined inclusion criteria for patients were severe COVID-19 infection; age > 18 years; positive D-dimer level > 400 ng/mL; high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygenation; IMPROVE bleeding risk score < 7; and willingness to participate in the study. The primary outcome was activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) target achievement, oxygenation changed to nasal cannula or ended with room air, mortality rate, and the principal safety criterion was presence of bleeding. Results: Of 160 subjects, 63.8% were male and 45.6% were aged 45-59 years old. Obesity was the most common comorbidity at 45.6% Among all subjects, 9.4% experienced bleeding, with hematuria being the most frequent type at 66.7%. All subjects released HFNC, and no deaths were reported. Conclusions: It can be concluded that administration of therapeutic doses of heparin in patients with severe COVID-19 had a low risk of bleeding and no patients were reported to have died.
