The goal is to investigate the potential for employing byproducts from various industrial processes in the creation of ground-breaking mortar and concrete. The dust produced during the marble-cutting operation is put to good use. Different percentages of this garbage were recommended to be used in conjunction with or in place of cement in the making of concrete. The research looked into the possibility of using marble dust, which is produced during the shaping of marble blocks, as a cementitious material in concrete. In areas where they are readily available and can reduce construction costs, the study found that dust from marble slabs could be employed as a cementitious material in concrete mixtures. The discarded marble dust is mixed with cement in proportions of 5, 10, 15, and 20% of the standard concrete mix. Both the fresh and hardened characteristics of the produced combinations were investigated. Compressive and tensile strengths were measured after being cured for varying periods of time, both when marble dust was used as a partial replacement and when it was not.

We now understand that, in the general construction of structures, the selection of reinforcing materials plays a critical role in guaranteeing structural durability and integrity. The comparative study of fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) bars and steel, two widely utilized materials, is explored in this abstract with an emphasis on the differences in their load-deflection properties and ductility behaviours. Because of its exceptional ductility, steel is commonly used in constructions that are situated in seismically active areas. On the other hand, CFRP bars have certain benefits, such resistance to corrosion and less weight, even if they are less ductile. The trade-offs between various materials are revealed by the study of load-deflection qualities, highlighting the significance of choosing the best choice in light of particular building constraints and needs.

Among all industries looking for economic development and environmental responsibility, sustainable manufacturing has gained popularity worldwide. This study reviews how biodegradable polymers and recycled metals can be utilized to encourage sustainable manufacturing. In reality, biodegradable polymers are made from renewable materials such as starch or cellulose; hence they can be utilized rather than common plastics and they can avoid contamination caused by non-disposable polymers while at the same time improving resource productivity. Biodegradable polymers have found various applications in packaging, agriculture, and pharm sectors where they contribute towards sustainable product advancement through their potential to break down under certain conditions ensuring that no waste remains behind after usage. On the other hand, recycled metals are significant for accomplishing circularity in manufacturing systems and bringing down the natural impacts related to different stages of manufacturing processes. Recycled metals offer assistance to save natural resources, reduce energy utilization, and lower the amount of GHGs produced by mining and refining virgin ore. For sustainable manufacturing, this paper highlights participation as well as development and technology integration among other things. For instance; making eco-friendly materials may be one such activity while digitalizing production processes can be another great thought for improving environmental sustainability in the manufacturing sector. Moreover, this paper suggests a few areas that can foster greater natural protection amid production activities like switching over renewable sources of power supply for energy usage. These actions will not only guarantee economic development but also protect our environment because somehow they are interrelated to each other.

This research examines the impact of ergonomic adjustments on production settings, focusing specifically on the concept of biodegradable plastic. The study used a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses derived from the collected data. The Life cycle assessment data reveal a department-specific improvement of 28.57% in the Degradable department, demonstrating the efficacy of the implemented ergonomic solutions. Research on biodegradable plastic in workstations uncovers inconsistencies and advocates for the standardization of features to provide uniform ergonomic comfort. The Productivity and Comfort Survey demonstrates a significant correlation between perceived comfort and productivity. Based on the survey findings, there is a direct correlation between a 10% increase in productivity and a one-point increase in comfort ratings. Analysis of Training and Feedback data reveals that the introduction of training initiatives resulted in a 20% improvement in outcomes linked to attention. The analysis of this information necessitates the integration of ergonomic interventions as a fundamental aspect of Life cycle industrial practices. This integration has the potential to enhance both workplace comfort and productivity, as well as job satisfaction.

Migration is found to have significant impact on socio-economic development of a region or a country. Health is deemed to be central to the social, economic and environmental dimensions of the sustainable development agenda, both as a beneficiary and a contributor. Sustainable development goals recognise the importance and interrelation between health and migration. It considers health as an indicator of ‘people-centred, rights-based, inclusive, and equitable development’ (UN, 2015). The review has aimed at understanding the perceived morbidity and health seeking behaviour among women migrant workers. This paper encapsulates the relation between climate change and health on women migrants. Thereby helping to understand the potential health issues faced by female migrant workers as a result of climate change along with addressing their challenges and barrier faced by the female migrants in availing health services. The paper suggest the needed changes to be adopted to help provide better health care facilities for the women migrant workers thereby being able to reduce the threat of outbreak as well as to improve the public health. The study has both research and policy implication.

Reinforced Concrete Structures, traditionally using steel rebars, are vulnerable to corrosion under severe exposure conditions. This can result in several drawbacks such as concrete deterioration, reduced serviceability, increased maintenance costs, and reduced structural durability. To counter these issues, Fibre Reinforced Polymer bars have emerged as another possibility material for steel bars. FRP bars are anti-corrosive, have high tensile strength, weigh one-fourth of steel bars, and have a low thermal expansion coefficient similar to concrete. To enhance both load-carrying capacity and ductility, a combining steel bars and FRP bars has been effectively used because FRP bars are having brittle behaviour. This paper studies theoretical investigations of Reinforcement ratio when Fiber Reinforced Polymer bars and steel bars are used as reinforcement in Concrete beams with Af to As as 1 which balance both Flexural capacity and ductility.

Reinforced steel bars, commonly used in concrete construction, are prone to corrosion due to their insufficient corrosion resistance, which ultimately leads to reduced durability and long-term performance. Moisture interaction is the leading cause of corrosion, which results in rust, cracks, and spalling, leading to durability and long-term performance issues. To address this problem, FRP bars are now being introduced to the market, which offer numerous benefits over steel bars, such as strong corrosion resistance, higher tensile strength, and reduced weight, leading to lower shipping and labor costs. Concrete gains mechanical stability, stiffness, durability when polypropylene fibres are used, improving the material's effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to examine the flexural behavior, load-deflection characteristics, and ductility of hybrid reinforced concrete beams. that use both GFRP bars and steel bars, as well as compare them with reinforced concrete beams that use only GFRP bars or steel bars with and without using polypropylene fibres as a supplement. In order to enhance the beams flexural strength as well as ductility, it has been identified that 0.25% of their volume should be made up of polypropylene fibres. After the experimental investigation is finished, analytical studies using ANSYS simulation will be carried out to determine the load-deflection behaviours.

Reinforced Steel bars used in concrete constructions are particularly susceptible to corrosion since they don't have enough corrosion resistance, which decreases durability and long-term performance. The main cause of steel bar corrosion is moisture interaction, which results in rust, which causes cracks and spalling, which affects durability and long-term performance. FRP bars, which have several benefits over steel bars such as strong resistance to corrosion, higher tensile strength than steel bars, and a 1/4th of the weight of steel bars, which decreases shipping and labor costs, are now entering the market as a solution to the aforementioned issues. Polypropylene fibers in concrete have high mechanical strength, stiffness, and durability. This paper tells about the type of FRP bar and Fiber that has been chosen in order to enhance the studies on the performance of flexure of RC beams made with a combination of FRP and Steel bars. From previous studies, it has been concluded that 0.25% of fibers are used as optimum dosage in terms of volume fraction in order to improve the behavior of flexure and ductility of beams made with a combination of Steel and FRP bars.

The current investigation work has investigated the utilization of Fly Ash (FA) in soil improvement and to assess the impacts of addition of various rates of FA on the sample of unsaturated soil. Effect of fly ash addition has been investigated on moisture content, degree of compaction and densities of unsaturated soil by directing different experiments. In the primary phase samples have been prepared with included FA in the percentages of 12%, 17%, 22%, and 27% respectively. Moisture content and densities experiments have been conducted without addition of FA for reference value. Each experiment was carried out with the mixtures having their optimal moisture content (OMC) and their maximum dry density (MDD). With the increase in percentage of water the degree of compaction, Dry density as well as bulk density has been increased up to a certain limit beyond this shows reverse result. Decrease in dry density was higher as compared to bulk density of the sample while increase in moisture content has been observed with the addition of FA in the sample. Addition of fly ash up to a certain limit shows good agreement for utilization as sand replacement or additives in civil application for sustainable applications.

Preliminary screening of phytochemicals is a valuable step in the detection of bioactive principles present in medicinal plants, which subsequently may lead to drug discovery and development. In the present study, chief phytoconstituents of the Momordica cymbalaria were identified. Preliminary screening of phytochemicals was done by using three extraction methods: maceration, soxhlation and reflux with hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol. All the nine extracts showed the presence of flavonoids, phenols, steroids and terpenoids that were obtained by the three extraction methods. The present work also attempted to optimize the HPTLC fingerprint profiles of secondary metabolites in hexane, ethyl acetate and methanolic fruit extracts of M. cymabalaria. Soxhlated methanolic fruit extract was rich in secondary compounds and exhibited more biological activity than the other extracts. Hence future study is needed to isolate potential bioactive principle from fruit extract of M. cymbalaria.

The corrosion of rebar is one of the main problem in the construction industry. A lot of amount is spent on the repair work every year but none of them is that effective. Therefore, the recent studies are being conducting on the FRP rebar due to the brittle nature and the bonding performance. We have also used PVA fiber in concrete to increase the strength of the concrete. we are using Hybrid beams in which we have replaced the corner rebar with BFRP bars because of their superior corrosion effect and the strength to weight ratio. We used four point loading test on these hybrid reinforced beams to find the flexural behaviour by which we can predict the performance. 0.25% PVA fiber reinforced concrete showed the optimum results.

A high-strength Concrete structure is what everyone tries to achieve through the project. So many studies are being studied with various types of fibers. In this paper, I have used PVA fibers with two different types of plasticizers. The main purpose of this study is to find the amount of plasticizer to be used and which is feasible to be used for different proportions of PVA fibers. We have casted 0.125%, 0.250%, 0.375%, and 0.50% of PVA fiber in the proportion of the weight of cement. We have also studied their compressive strength and split tensile strength. By which we have decided the optimum dosage of plasticizes to be used for the different proportions of PVA fiber.
