The complex and heterogeneous genomic landscape of multiple myeloma (MM) and many of its clinical and prognostic implications remains to be understood. In other cancers, such as breast cancer, using whole-exome sequencing (WES) and molecular signatures in clinical practice has revolutionized classification, prognostic prediction, and patient management. However, such integration is still in its early stages in MM. In this study, we analyzed WES data from 35 MM patients to identify potential mutational signatures and driver mutations correlated with clinical and cytogenetic characteristics. Our findings confirm the complex mutational spectrum and its impact on previously described ontogenetic and epigenetic pathways. They show TYW1 as a possible new potential driver gene and find no significant associations of mutational signatures with clinical findings. The objective of this article is to delve into the intricate dynamics of marriage relationships, exploring the impact of emotions such as fear, love, financial considerations and likability. In our investigation, we adopt a perspective that acknowledges the nonlinear nature of interactions among individuals. Diverging from certain prior studies, we propose that the fear element within the context of marriage is not a singular, isolated factor but rather a manifestation resulting from the amalgamation of numerous social issues. This, in turn, contributes to the emergence of strained and unsuccessful relationships. Unlike conventional approaches, we extensively examine the conditions essential for the existence of all socially significant equilibrium points. A meticulous analysis is undertaken to elucidate the local and global dynamics of the model in the proximity of these equilibrium points. Furthermore, we explore the nuanced interplay between fear, love, money and likability, emphasizing the sensitivity of marriage relationships to changes in the rates of these factors. The outcomes of such variations yield a spectrum of intriguing results within the proposed model, adding depth to our understanding of the complexities inherent in the dynamics of marital relationships. Oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) is an allotetraploid (AACC, 2n = 38) crop, valued for its edible oil and protein content. seed yield and nutritional composition of rapeseed are influenced by its yield and oil quality traits. However, the genetic basis of yield-related and oil-quality traits remain ambiguous. A panel of 266 diversified oilseed rape accessions was genotyped using 223 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers covering all 19 chromosomes to identify significant markers associated with yield and quality traits. Twelve yield-related and six quality traits were investigated in two consecutive years (2014 and 2015), with three replications in two environments (Changshun, CS; and Qinghe, QH). Using the model GLM with population structure and kinship (Q + K), a total of 25 significant SSR markers (P < 0.001) were detected to be associated with these twelve yield-related and six quality traits, explaining 4.56%-19.17% of the phenotypic variation for each trait. Based on these markers, BnaA03g23490D, BnaC09g46370D, BnaA07g37150D, BnaA01g32590D, and BnaC09g37280D were identified as pleiotropic genes controlling multiple traits. These candidate genes illustrated the potential for the genetic understanding of yield and oil quality traits. Essential oils of fennel, peppermint, caraway, eucalyptus, geranium and lemon were tested for their antimicrobial activities against some plant pathogenic micro-organisms ( Fusarium oxysporum, Alternaria alternate, Penicilium italicum Penicilium digitatum and Botyritus cinerea). Essential oils of fennel, peppermint, caraway were selected as an active ingredient for the formulation of biocides due to their efficiency in controlling the tested micro-organisms. Successful emulsifiable concentrates (biocides) were prepared from these oils using different emulsifiers (Emulgator B.L.M. Tween20 and Tween80) and different fixed oils (sesame, olive, cotton and soybean oils). Physico-chemical properties of the formulated biocide (spontaneous emulsification, emulsion stability test, cold stability and heat stability tests as well as viscosity, surface tension and pH) were measured. Plant height is a crucial element related to plant architecture that influences the seed yield of oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.). In this study, we isolated a natural B. napus mutant, namely a semi-dwarf mutant (sdw-e), which exhibits a 30% reduction in plant height compared with Zhongshuang 11-HP (ZS11-HP). Quantitative trait locus sequencing (QTL-seq) was conducted using two extreme DNA bulks in F2 populations in Wuchang-2017 derived from ZS11-HP ×sdw-e to identify QTLs associated with plant height. The result suggested that two QTL intervals were located on chromosome A10. The F2 population consisting of 200 individuals in Yangluo-2018 derived from ZS11-HP × sdw-e was used to construct a high-density linkage map using whole-genome resequencing. The high-density linkage map harbored 4323 bin markers and covered a total distance of 2026.52 cM with an average marker interval of 0.47 cM. The major QTL for plant height named qPHA10 was identified on linkage group A10 by interval mapping and composite interval mapping methods. The major QTL qPHA10 was highly consistent with the QTL-seq results. And then, we integrated the variation sites and expression levels of genes in the major QTL interval to predict the candidate genes. Thus, the identified QTL and candidate genes could be used in marker-assisted selection for B. napus breeding in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
