Abstract

BackgroundInternet-administered self-report measures of social anxiety, depressive symptoms, and sleep difficulties are widely used in clinical trials and in clinical routine care, but data loss is a common problem that could render skewed estimates of symptom levels and treatment effects. One way of reducing the negative impact of missing data could be to use telephone administration of self-report measures as a means to complete the data missing from the online data collection. ObjectiveThe aim of the study was to compare the convergence of telephone and Internet administration of self-report measures of social anxiety, depressive symptoms, and sleep difficulties. MethodsThe Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale-Self-Report (LSAS-SR), Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale-Self-Rated (MADRS-S), and the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) were administered over the telephone and via the Internet to a clinical sample (N=82) of psychiatric patients at a clinic specializing in Internet-delivered treatment. Shortened versions of the LSAS-SR and the ISI were used when administered via telephone. Abstract

BackgroundInternet-based cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) has been shown to be a promising method to disseminate cognitive behavior therapy for social anxiety disorder (SAD). Several trials have demonstrated that Internet-based CBT can be effective for SAD in the shorter term. However, the long-term effects of Internet-based CBT for SAD are less well known. ObjectiveOur objective was to investigate the effect of Internet-based CBT for SAD 5 years after completed treatment. MethodWe conducted a 5-year follow-up study of 80 persons with SAD who had undergone Internet-based CBT. The assessment comprised a diagnostic interview and self-report questionnaires. The main outcome measure was the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale-Self-Report (LSAS-SR). Additional measures of social anxiety were the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS) and the Social Phobia Scale (SPS). Attrition rates were low: 89% (71/80) of the participants completed the diagnostic interview and 80% (64/80) responded to the questionnaires. ResultsMixed-effect models analysis showed a significant effect of time on the three social anxiety measures, LSAS-SR, SIAS, and SPS (F3,98-102 = 16.05 - 29.20, P < .001) indicating improvement. From baseline to 5-year follow-up, participants’ mean scores on the LSAS-SR were reduced from 71.3 (95% confidence interval [CI] 66.1-76.5) to 40.3 (95% CI 35.2 - 45.3). The effect sizes of the LSAS-SR were large (Cohen’s d range 1.30 - 1.40, 95% CI 0.77 - 1.90). Improvements gained at the 1-year follow-up were sustained 5 years after completed treatment. ConclusionsInternet-based CBT for SAD is a treatment that can result in large and enduring effects. Abstract

Induction of the one-carbon cycle is an early hallmark of mitochondrial dysfunction and cancer metabolism. Vital intermediary steps are localized to mitochondria, but it remains unclear how one-carbon availability connects to mitochondrial function. Here, we show that the one-carbon metabolite and methyl group donor S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) is pivotal for energy metabolism. A gradual decline in mitochondrial SAM (mitoSAM) causes hierarchical defects in fly and mouse, comprising loss of mitoSAM-dependent metabolites and impaired assembly of the oxidative phosphorylation system. Complex I stability and iron-sulfur cluster biosynthesis are directly controlled by mitoSAM levels, while other protein targets are predominantly methylated outside of the organelle before import. The mitoSAM pool follows its cytosolic production, establishing mitochondria as responsive receivers of one-carbon units. Thus, we demonstrate that cellular methylation potential is required for energy metabolism, with direct relevance for pathophysiology, aging, and cancer.

Abstract

This presentation covers the topic "Sharing Sensitive Personal Data Resulting From Life Science Research", in terms of what is sensitive personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Moreover, a brief overview of how researchers in Sweden can play by the rules regarding the Ethical Review of Research Involving Humans. The final section of the presentation covers the latest news of the Swedish node of the Federated European Genome-Phenome Archive (https://fega.nbis.se). This presentation was presented at the recurring session "Meet a Data Steward" on the 23rd of May 2023. These sessions are organized by SciLifeLab and are open to all researchers affiliated with a Swedish university or institute. Each event starts with a 15 minutes mini-lecture, and 45 minutes of free Q & A. Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the E-KTP manufacturing service system provided by the government of Central Siberut District of Mentawai Islands Regency which is measured through several service system indicators, namely: direct evidence, empathy, responsiveness, reliability and communication, in addition this research is also conducted to find out the constraint factors of the E-KTP manufacturing service system that can be seen from facilities and infrastructure, In service procedures and employee capabilities, the study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection obtained from observations and interviews. The results of this study show that the service system for making E-KTP in The Central Siberut District of Mentawai Islands Regency is still not maximal which can be seen from the assurance of uncertain services, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, lack of attention and good response from employees, poor employee response and lack of information provided to the public about the procedures of the E-KTP manufacturing service system. The author suggested that the Government of Central Siberut Subdistrict improve employee performance by training employees, adding facilities and infrastructure and also clarifying information about E-KTP manufacturing service procedures.

Handledare: Jasmina Beharic Examinator: Mikael Lundgren Problemformulering: Vad innebär en outboarding-process ur ett arbetsgivarperspektiv? Vad innebär en outboarding-process ur ett arbetstagarperspektiv? Syfte: Studien kommer att förklara hur en arbetsgivares outboarding-process kan se ut och hur de arbetar med att skapa ett bra avslut för sina medarbetare. Vi kommer även att belysa och analysera innebörden av en outboarding-process ur ett arbetstagarperspektiv. Vidare är vår förhoppning att studien kan bidra med att uppmärksamma en outboarding-process och att processen kan bli en naturlig del av employer branding-arbetet. Metod: Kvalitativ forskningsstrategi med induktiv forskningsansats. Det empiriska materialet har samlats in genom tre intervjuer och en fokusgrupp. Slutsats: Vi finner att en outboarding-process har betydelse för såväl arbetstagare som arbetsgivare. Genom att arbeta med uppskattning och vara mån om att göra ett bra avslut genererar det goda fördelar på lång sikt, det stärker även arbetsgivarvarumärket samt ökar chansen till återanställningar. Bra outboarding-processer gör det också möjligt för arbetstagare att lämna över sin kunskap så att den bibehålls inom organisationen. Vi kan slutligen bekräfta att en outboarding-process behöver uppmärksammas och att processen är ett bra komplement till employer branding-arbetet. The importance of paying attention to the organization's employees at the end of employment is the main focus of this study. We have done a qualitative study of the importance to work with an outboarding-process to pay attention to the employees at the end of employment. The research questions of this study are: What does an outboarding-process mean from an employer perspective? What does an outboarding-process mean from an employee perspective? We have accomplished three interviews with key persons in an organization to answer the question of the employer's perspective. We have also conducted a focus group with four strategical selected persons to study the employee perspective. We have identified five areas that are common in an outboarding-process: Value-adding, motivation, reputation, knowledge transfer, and boomerang employment. We have through analyzing the empirical data, with support from the theoretical framework, concluded that an outboarding-process is important for both employees and employers. By working with an outboarding-process and pay attention to the employees during the last part of the employment, it generates long-term benefits, strengthens the employer brand, and increases the chance of re-employment. An outboarding-process also allows employees to transfer their knowledge so that it is retained within the organization. Finally, we can confirm that an outboarding-process needs more attention and that the process is necessary by being a part of an organization's work with employer branding.
