In order to investigate and evaluate the potential of CBM Resources in the southern margin of the Junggar Basin, this study conducted 3D seismic exploration in the Hutubi block. The seismic acquisition design tailors to wide azimuth, small receiver distance and high folds, the seismic geometry design includes 16 lines, 6 shots and 160 receivers. Given the serious static problems in mountainous terrain and imaging accuracy of steep dip coal seam in the seismic data processing, a high-resolution 3D seismic data processing flow is therefore established to meet the prediction requirement of coalbed methane enrichment area. The dividing principle of the coalbed methane enrichment area and the classification model of favorable area are proposed in line with the main seismic geological factors affecting coalbed methane enrichment, such as the coal seam depth, the faults characteristics, the coal seam thickness, the coal seam roof lithology and the coal seam gas content. Based on 3D seismic data, this study combined seismic data interpretation and seismic attribute analysis to obtain data on coal seam thickness, coal seam roof lithology, and coal seam gas content by using seismic lithology inversion results. Under the constraints of logging, this study made predictions of the B4 coalbed methane enrichment area in the research area, and put forward suggestions for deploying coal bed gas production borehole.

Ever since the end of last century, strategic HRM scholars have devoted a great and increasing deal of efforts to the exploration and examination of contributions of HRM practices/systems into organizational performance. In spite of the lack of a conclusive message about the HRM-performance relationship, the current literature has documented vast of the evidence, which worth reviewing and may generate inspirations for future research. Thus, this research reviews the literature and teases out the key elements in strategic HRM research. These elements can be further categorized into several sub-groups: namely, HRM systems, business strategy, external and internal organizational contextual factors. Specifically, HRM systems include high control work systems, high commitment work systems, high involvement work systems, high performance work systems, high reliability work systems, and customer services-oriented work systems. The strength of the relationships between these HRM systems and performance will be varied by the changes of business strategies and organizational contextual factors. This study reviews the five types of fits between the key elements in strategic HRM literature. Moreover, it has been argued and proved that the fits between the key elements will results in better organizational performance. This article can generate not only theoretical implications for scholar, who attempt to deepen our understanding of the mechanism through which HRM systems improve organizational performance, but practical implications for managers, who will be able to identify the key factors impacting their effectiveness in managing people in real world.

Soil moisture is key in maintaining surface energy balance and the hydrological cycle. However, the patterns of soil moisture change at different altitudes and their response to rainfall are not fully understood. The aim of this study is to analyze the changes in soil moisture at different altitudes in the Mu Us Sandy Land, assess the soil moisture response to various rainfall events, and evaluate the factors affecting this response. To achieve this, we set up two soil moisture and precipitation monitoring systems in the Ejin Horo Banner, located at the northern edge of the Mu Us Sandy Land. Results show that the annual precipitation at the site was 342.6 mm, with most rain falling between July and September. The region experiences soil drought from June to October. At the lower X1 test site, the increase in soil moisture in the 0–90 cm layer during rainfall was greater than the amount of precipitation, suggesting that lateral water flow from higher areas influences soil moisture at lower positions. This study used Grey Relational Analysis to identify the key factors influencing soil moisture changes; the result showed that the initial soil moisture and total precipitation have the strongest correlation with changes in soil moisture, making them the main factors controlling soil moisture response at the site. These findings enhance our understanding of soil moisture dynamics and provide a foundation for vegetation restoration in semi-arid sandy areas and ecosystem rehabilitation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To increase the detection accuracy of soil structure and moisture content in reconstituted soils under complex conditions, this study utilizes a 400 MHz ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to examine a study area consisting of loess, sandy loam, red clay, and mixed soil. The research involves analyzing the single-channel waveforms and two-dimensional images of GPR, preprocessing the data, obtaining envelope information via amplitude envelope detection, and performing a Hilbert transformation. This study employs a least squares fitting approach to the instantaneous phase envelope to ascertain the thickness of various soil layers. By utilizing the average envelope amplitude (AEA) method, a correlation between the radar's early signal amplitude envelope and the soil's shallow dielectric constant is established to invert the moisture content of the soil. The analysis integrates soil structure and moisture distribution data to investigate soil structure characteristics and moisture content performance under diverse soil properties and depths. The findings indicate that the envelope detection method effectively identifies stratification boundaries across different soil types; the AEA method is particularly efficacious in inverting the moisture content of reconstituted soils up to 3 m deep, with an average relative error ranging from 2.81% to 7.41%. Notably, moisture content variations in stratified reconstituted soils are more pronounced than those in mixed soil areas, displaying a marked stepwise increase with depth. The moisture content trends in the vertical direction of the same soil profile are generally consistent. This research offers a novel approach to studying reconstituted soils under complex conditions, confirming the viability of the envelope detection and AEA methods for intricate soil investigations and broadening the application spectrum of GPR in soil studies. Coal mining has a certain influence on and causes disturbances in groundwater. To investigate the variation trend of groundwater around the open-pit mine in grassland area, taking Shengli No. 1 open-pit mine as an example, the impact and variation trend of groundwater level in Quaternary aquifer around the mine area was studied by using the data of hydrological monitoring wells. The results show that the water level around the mining area varies from one year to the next. Since 2008, the water level has experienced a process of reduction, stability and increase. Compared with the background water level value, the current water level of each monitoring well is lower than the background water level. The influence radius calculated by Kusakin formula ranges from 94.15 m to 906.80 m, and the aquifer is heterogeneous. On the basis of the correlations between changes in waterline in monitoring wells and the stope distance, the disturbance radius of open-pit mining on surrounding diving water in grassland area is less than 2000 m. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the alteration of diving waterline and its influencing factors, the main factors affecting the variation in the phreatic water level are atmospheric precipitation, evaporation, groundwater usage and dewatering water. All factors act on the diversification of diving water level synthetically. The internal waste dump of an open-pit mine has a positive effect on the surrounding groundwater recovery. The aim of this study is to reveal the impact of open-pit mining on surrounding groundwater and providing scientific basis for future mining in other open-pit mines. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
