Deformed microstructure of the adiabatic shear bands in zirconium alloy impacted by split Hopkinson pressure bar at a strain rate of about 2300 s-1 was characterized systemically. Four different strains of zirconium alloy subjected to impact loading at same strain rate were designed by means of strain stopper rings. At a strain of 0.30, the transformed bands were distinguished at the tip of crack. The transformed bands mainly composed of the ultrafine and equiaxed grains with the mean diameter of about 100~300 nm were found by a dual beam FIB/TEM system. Besides ultrafine grains in the transformed bands, nanometer fine grain was observed and confirmed by HRTEM. Thus, the transformed bands mainly composed of the mixed microstructure including nanometer and ultrafine grains were confirmed, and n phase transformation and amorphization in transformed bands take place.

Despite being able to predict accurate user-item interactions, recommender systems also lead to homogeneous information flow, resulting in negative online experiences. However, users' coping processes for this stressful event remain basically unclear. Drawing on coping theory, this study examines how users appraise two stressors (information narrowing and information redundancy) in homogenous information flow, especially in different user experiences, and thus adopt algorithmic resistance and avoidance coping strategies. Data (N = 407) were collected based on a survey. The empirical results indicate that information narrowing and information redundancy are significantly and negatively related to challenge appraisal, and exert significant and positive effects on threat appraisal. The moderating effect denotes that user experience strengthens the relationship between information narrowing and information redundancy to threat appraisal. Threat appraisal further triggers algorithmic resistance and avoidance of users. The paper provides several implications for theory and research by revealing the mechanism through which recommender systems users cope with homogeneous information flow. Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is a haematological malignancy characterized by the constitutive tyrosine kinase activity of the BCR‐ABL1 fusion protein. Flumatinib, a second‐generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has exhibited superior clinical efficacy compared to its precursor, imatinib. However, with increased clinical use, resistance to flumatinib has emerged as a significant challenge. To investigate the mechanisms of flumatinib resistance in CML, we induced the human CML cell line K562 using a flumatinib concentration gradient method in vitro, successfully establishing a flumatinib‐resistant K562/FLM cell line. This cell line exhibited cross‐resistance to imatinib and doxorubicin, but remained sensitive to the antiparasitic agent ivermectin, which possesses antitumoural effects. Through cellular experimentation, we explored the resistance mechanisms, which indicated that K562/FLM cells evade flumatinib cytotoxicity by enhancing autophagy, increasing the expression of membrane transport proteins, particularly P‐glycoprotein, ABCC1 and ABCC4, as well as enhancing phosphorylation of p‐EGFR, p‐ERK and p‐STAT3 proteins. Moreover, it was found that ivermectin effectively suppressed the expression of autophagy and transport proteins in K562/FLM cells, reduced the activity of the aforementioned phosphoproteins, and promoted apoptotic cell death. Collectively, the increased autophagy, higher expression of drug‐efflux proteins and hyperactivation of the EGFR/ERK/STAT3 signalling pathway were identified as pivotal elements promoting resistance to flumatinib. The significant effects of ivermectin might offer a novel therapeutic strategy to overcome flumatinib resistance and optimize the treatment outcomes of CML. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In a binary image, the Euler number is a crucial topological feature that holds immense significance in image understanding and image analysis owing to its invariance under scaling, rotation, or any arbitrary rubber-sheet transformation of images. This paper focuses on the Euler number computing problem in a binary image. The state-of-the-art Euler number computing algorithms are reviewed, which obtain the Euler number through different techniques, such as definition, features of binary images, and special data structures representing forms of binary images, and we explain the main principles and strategies of the algorithms in detail. Afterwards, we present the experimental results to bring order of the prevailing Euler number computing algorithms in 8-connectivity cases. Then, we discuss both the parallel implementation and the hardware implementation of algorithms for calculating the Euler number and present the algorithm extension for 3D image Euler number computation. Lastly, we aim to outline forthcoming efforts concerning the computation of the Euler number. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
