With the growing number of sensor nodes at edge devices, it is critical to guarantee the security of private data transmitted over the Internet of Things (IoT), especially in image and video applications. Traditional software‐based encryption schemes are vulnerable to advanced attacks based on machine learning or quantum computing, leading to the exploration of hardware‐based solutions. This study proposes a novel in‐sensor encryption technique using a perovskite photodetectors (PDs) array to integrate image acquisition and encryption functions within a single hardware platform. The technique exploits the inherent physical disorder and randomness of perovskite PDs to provide an optimal source of entropy for the generation of cryptographic keys. The MAPbI3 perovskite PDs array is fabricated by a convenient method and passivated by thioacetamide (TAA) to improve the performance in photoresponsivity, response time, spectra response, and stability, enabling sensitive imaging and reliable key generation. The improved perovskite PDs array exhibits remarkable optoelectronic properties and stability, highlighting its potential for in‐sensor encryption and the creation of trustworthy hardware security systems for imaging terminals. This paper proposes a 256‐bit speed‐area‐efficient hardware elliptic curve point‐multiplication engine (ECPM‐engine) in GF(p) over generic Weierstrass curves, which is optimized by a new speed‐area‐efficient radix‐64 Montgomery modular multiplication (R64MMM) and a novel Montgomery ladder scheduling. The R64MMM calls one 129‐bit adder and one (64x64+129)‐bit multiply‐accumulator (64‐129‐MAC) in parallel to make a trade‐off between speed and area. The novel Montgomery ladder scheduling is used to improve the utilization of MAC in ECPM operation. In this ECPM‐engine, both MAC utilization in R64MMM operations and R64MMM utilization in ECPM operations are close to 100%. The result shows that the proposed ECPM‐engine consumes 72k gates when the clock frequency is 714 MHz with a 90 nm standard cell library, and it computes one 256‐bit ECPM in 0.14 ms. Magnesium-oxide (Mg[O.sub.2]) films have been prepared by a cathodic-vacuum-arc ion deposition system operated in an intermediate frequency pulse mode of substrate bias voltage at a mixed atmosphere of [O.sub.2] and Ar. The [O.sub.2] flow was adjusted in a range of 180-240 sccm at a fixed [O.sub.2]/Ar flow rate of 20. The structure, composition, morphology, and optical properties of the samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, Rutherford backscattering technique, atomic force microscopy, and UV-visible absorption spectra, respectively. Results show that the crystal orientation and grain size of the samples strongly depends on [O.sub.2] flow rate. Growth of Magnesium-oxide films prefers MgO (200) and MgO (220) orientation at a smaller and larger [O.sub.2] flow rate of 180 and 220 sccm, respectively. Transparent Mg[O.sub.x] films used as the protective layer for alternating-current plasma display panel are obtained at optimal deposition conditions.
