Abstract

Clustering is an effective tool for astronomical spectral analysis, to mine clustering patterns among data. With the implementation of large sky surveys, many clustering methods have been applied to tackle spectroscopic and photometric data effectively and automatically. Meanwhile, the performance of clustering methods under different data characteristics varies greatly. With the aim of summarizing astronomical spectral clustering algorithms and laying the foundation for further research, this work gives a review of clustering methods applied to astronomical spectra data in three parts. First, many clustering methods for astronomical spectra are investigated and analysed theoretically, looking at algorithmic ideas, applications, and features. Secondly, experiments are carried out on unified datasets constructed using three criteria (spectra data type, spectra quality, and data volume) to compare the performance of typical algorithms; spectra data are selected from the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fibre Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) survey and Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). Abstract

Association analysis is an important task that aims to investigate correlations in astronomical spectral data and mine relationships between different data features. With the rapid development of various sky survey projects, multiple association analysis methods have been applied to efficiently investigate the correlation between spectral data. However, due to the different focuses of analysing the relationships within spectral data, the performance and applicability scenarios of association analysis methods vary. We present the third article in the series to provide a comprehensive review of algorithms for astronomical spectral association analysis. First, this paper outlines the ideas and applications of association analysis algorithms for astronomical spectra in the current literature. Secondly, experiments are conducted on a unified A-type stellar spectral data set constructed based on three different signal-to-noise ratios and data volumes to examine the performance of different algorithms in analysing the correlation between data features. The results indicate that association rule algorithms can more comprehensively and effectively uncover the correlations among different spectral features, while regression analysis algorithms offer a simpler and more intuitive approach to analysing relationships between features. The spectral data used in the experiments are obtained from the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope. Abstract

In recent times, science education has turned its attention toward computational modeling (CM). While there exists a substantial body of research on CM case design and practical applications, a notable gap exists in systematic reviews of these studies. Although systematic reviews of computational thinking in science classrooms exist, they diverge from the definition of CM, often omitting pertinent articles. This study adhered to the standardized process of systematic literature review, selecting Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus as the databases. It established search keywords and criteria for the inclusion and exclusion of literature. After multiple rounds of screening, this study ultimately obtained 70 works related to CM. For the results, this study begins with an analysis of publication distribution, research popularity trends, research types, and methodologies. Subsequently, it delves into participant profiles, encompassing their geographical distribution, educational levels, and sample sizes. Furthermore, it scrutinizes case types, modeling tools, and the fundamental functionalities within case design. Lastly, it explores the scientific disciplines and student competencies that researchers prioritize in CM’s practical application, along with the evaluation methods, collected data, and core empirical findings. Abstract

Background Immediately placed implants with immediate provisionalization have become attractive options for patients and clinicians. However, there is no agreement on the esthetic advantages of immediately placed implants with immediate provisionalization. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis will be to assess the effect of immediate provisionalization on the clinical esthetic outcomes of immediately placed implants in a single-tooth implant of the esthetic area. Methods An electronic search of MEDLINE/PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Clinicaltrials.org., Cochrane Library, China Biology Medicine (CBM), Wan Fang Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CNKI), and VIP Science Technology Periodical Database will be performed. The search will be carried out in the databases for articles published until May 2021. Two researchers will independently perform the literature selection, data extraction and quality assessment. Only randomized controlled trials (RCTs) reporting on the impact of immediate provisionalization on the clinical esthetic outcomes of implants immediately placed in a single-tooth implant of the aesthetic area will be included. The primary outcome of this study will be the esthetic outcome assessed by the objective index and patient satisfaction. The survival rate of implants and restorations and the changes in mucosa and bone around implants will also be analyzed. The included studies will be analyzed by Review Manager 5.3, and a meta-analysis will be performed. Results The study will evaluate the clinical esthetic outcomes of immediately placed implants with and without immediate provisionalization in single-tooth implants of the esthetic area. The results will provide clinicians with a better treatment approach in their application. Conclusion This systematic review and meta-analysis will provide more reliable, evidence-based data for the impact of immediate provisionalization on the clinical esthetic outcomes of immediately placed implants, which may or may not be beneficial. Apart from detecting the levels of routine biochemical parameters, fasting serum insulin (FINS), 25(OH)D, thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP), thioredoxin (TRX), and NOD-like receptor family, pyrin domain-containing 3 (NLRP3) were detected. β-cell dysfunction (HOMA-β) and insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) were assessed by homeostasis model assessment. Both univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to estimate the risk of metabolic parameters, and their optimal cut-off values were obtained in the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis and the Youden index.Results: Among the 207 subjects, aged from 20 to 60 years (44.62+12.92) contain 118 males and 89 females. There was a significantly lower trend of TRX, HOMA-β, and 25(OH)D following the higher FBG level among these three subgroups, while a significantly higher trend of all the other metabolic parameters. The multivariate analysis showed that subjects with higher values of TRX, HOMA-β, and 25(OH)D had a significantly lower risk for patients to be diagnosed as PD (aOR: 0.945, 0.961, and 0.543) and T2D (aOR
