Abstract

This work investigates a non-Newtonian MHD Carreau nanofluid over a stretched vertical cylinder of an incompressible boundary layer with mobile microorganisms. The flow exists in permeable media and follows the modified Darcy's law. An unchanged normal magnetic strength to the walls saturates the system. Ohmic dissipation, heat source, modified chemical reaction with activation energy properties, heat, volumetric nanoparticles fraction as well as microorganism profiles are covered. Thermal conductivity and mass diffusivity are taken as functions of heat and nanoparticle concentration, correspondingly. The fundamental governing system of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) is converted into nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by employing appropriate similarity transforms. The latter system is numerically analyzed through fourth-order Runge–Kutta (RK-4) simultaneously with the shooting process. The numerical outcomes showed that the curvature coefficient, magnetism and chemically activated energy perform a significant role in the velocity, heat, nanoparticle and chemical organism distributions. The impacts of several physical restrictions are tested and portrayed in a group of graphs. It is observed that the presence of microbes and nanoparticles, which are described in buoyancy terms, causes the flow to decay and slow down. By lowering the buoyancy and bio-convection characteristics, this infection can be prevented. With the development of all heat-related elements, heat transfer is enhanced, which is a significant feature associated with the current flow. Abstract

Electrospinning is an amazing process that enables the production of primarily nanofiber membranes. Nevertheless, the mechanism underlying the formation of two-dimensional (2D) nonwoven structure remains a fascinating enigma. This paper presents a novel morphology of nanofiber membranes with a cluster structure that bears resemblance to the solar nebula. The mechanism of nanofiber cluster structures in the electrospinning process is elucidated through the geometric potential theory, which begins with a zero-dimensional receptor, progresses to a one-dimensional (1D) receptor, a 2D receptor, and ultimately culminates in a fractal-like lattice receptor. Moreover, a three-dimensional (3D) printing-like novel approach is presented for the manipulation of nanofiber membrane's shape through the use of a lattice-structured receptor. Abstract

In recent decades, nano/microelectromechanical systems (N/MEMS) have garnered significant attention due to their appealing characteristics, such as compact size, batch fabrication capabilities, high reliability and low power consumption. However, these vibratory systems often present challenges, including zero conditions at the initial time, involving zero velocity and zero displacement, which complicates the solution process. Nonetheless, the theory of geometric potential offers insights into various phenomena in nanoscience and nanotechnology. In this paper, we implement the theory of geometric potential to develop an N/MEMS model. We then analyze the periodicity property of the nonlinear system using a novel method based on Sturm’s algorithm. Our analysis reveals that the model with zero initial conditions exhibits periodic solution under specific conditions on lumped parameter. Abstract

This paper considers the movement of an incompressible non-Newtonian Walters' B liquid within a rotating annulus. The flow lies within porous media and is magnetized by a uniform normal magnetic field. Mass transmission is included in the arrangements of homogeneous and heterogeneous chemical reactions (HHCR) with a thermal diffusion effect. Heat diffusion is exposed with a temperature- dependent heat source (THS) and an exponential radial-dependent heat source (ERHS), besides Joule heating and viscous dissipations. The mathematical construction is shown by momentum, energy and concentration of chemical materials equations along with time-periodic boundary conditions. The innovation of this study stems from considering mass transfer utilizing HHCR, with thermal diffusion effects in the flow within a rotating annulus, trying to understand the effect of these reactions on the flow and related applications. The principal regulating the structure of nonlinear partial differential equations is transferred by ordinary ones utilizing appropriate similarity analysis. These equations are analyzed by the homotopy perturbation method. Subsequently, the analytical solutions of the main profiles are obtained, and a graphical construction is established to clarify the effects of the relevant physical elements. It is observed that the velocity waves decrease with annulus width enlargement and increase with the wave phase amplitude. With an increase in all significant parameters, heat transmission gets better. Furthermore, as the strength of HHCR is increased, the concentration of molecules decreases. These outcomes are significant in several applications like cancer therapy, biochemical manufacturing purposes through reactors, where biochemical interactions can be regulated by accurate control of various parameters.
