This diploma thesis is focused on a representation of motherhood in the selected Czech media. Motherhood itself and the view on it had changed in 21st century in many ways as shows the recent research. The goal of this thesis is to show how is the topic "motherhood" represented in selected Czech women's magazines and what kind of media construction of this topic are presented to the readers. To reach the goal of this research the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods was used. Specifically, the frame analysis and quantitative content analysis. The work begins with the theoretical part which contents the recent concepts of feministic media research, because this thesis is based on the feministic and gender theory perspective. The empirical part of the thesis contents the results of the research. Firstly, the nine frames that had been identified are presented and evaluated than quantitative representation of the frames follow. Finally, there is the evaluation of the quantitative content analysis to which side research questions and hypotheses relate. The results are evaluated and compared with theory and foreign research in the discussion and the final part. The limits of the research and the outline of further possible research in this area are also presented.

Nowadays, information is increasingly presented in the form of various graphic materials. One of the key means of information visualisation is a map. Maps are complex representations and it is necessary to comprehend several cartographic concepts and to acquire skills and strategies for their efficient use. For this reason, it is important to give maps sufficient attention in the course of education. For the education to be of high quality, it is fundamental to understand the process of the map use and factors affecting this process and its successfulness. Therefore, the general purpose of the dissertation thesis is to develop this understanding. Specifically, the thesis has four main aims. One of them is to identify a map skill level of Czech students while using thematic maps since the popularity of thematic maps is increasing together with the number of cartographic insufficiencies they contain. These insufficiencies can inter alia cause a formation of misconceptions both about the maps and phenomena and regions they display. Bodies of limited companies in liquidation Abstract This diploma thesis shows the position of the liquidator and the relation with other bodies of the stock corporation in process of liquidation of the stock corporation (further referred as "company"). There is an ambiguous interpretation of current legal regulations about the liquidation of legal entities, liquidator itself and particularly terms of reference of company authorities in liquidation. There are also a lot of arguably legal question about this relation that is answered in this thesis. The purpose of this thesis is not a just definition of liquidator or valuation of problematic areas according to liquidator's position. The thesis is also targeted on the activity of liquidator inside and outside the company related to solving reciprocal relation between liquidator and authorities of the company. The presented diploma thesis focuses on the map skills' problematic, which is currently becoming widespread in the Czech research environment. In contrast to the previous empirical studies, this thesis is devoted to the thematic map skills and their level of development among students of grammar schools and geographically oriented branches of university studies. Due to the significant differences between used cartographic methods of visualization on thematic maps the main aim of this diploma thesis is to identify and explain used cartographic method's influence on the level of these important skills. To achieve this aim, it was necessary to focus on different parts of the curriculum (intended, implemented, learned) and to use several scientific methods because this topic hasn't been well established yet and therefore only few theoretical and empirical studies dealt with this specific issue. The presented bachelor thesis deals with map skills' development in history, mathematics and biology at lower and upper secondary schools. Map skills tend to be seen as part of geographic skills so the issue related to their development in other subjects isn't researched enough. The first part of this thesis concerns with the use of map skills in everyday life, and summarizes evidence of their importance in various subjects. Based on the research focused on chosen subjects (history, mathematics, biology) are subsequently suggested particular possibilities of map skills' development. This thesis is focused on medial presentation of the trial with the protectorate government. On the case of this process I try to show how this historical trial was depicted on the pages of the periodical press Rudé právo, Lidová demokracie and Svobodné noviny. On the background of this analysis of the historical press I intend to picture the character of the afterwar years which had been characterized by groundbreaking changes within the czech society and the state. From this reason I pay attention to the question of the impact of the war on the exil london government's plans for the reconstruction of the postwar Czechoslovakia. Regarding the connection with all the postwar changes I try to picture the background of the origin of the retribution, both from the czech and foreign point of view. In consideration of the fact, that the retribution itself was a kind of means of coping with the past and starting a new period of existence, I also try do depict the political background of the trial with the protectorate government. This thesis bearing the name "The European Convention on Human Rights, Article 8" has the objective to define the right to respect for private and family life through the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights. The work is concentrating on the topic of registered partnership, especially upon the question of whether a homosexual pair can be recognized as a family in the sense of Article 8 of European Convention on Human Rights. Further issues discussed are the question of children and their biological parents, whether a child has a right to know his biological parents, and the problem of implementation of Article 8 in the Czech Republic focusing on the question of problems in implementation of the right to respect for private life and for family life. The first two chapters are aimed at defining the pertinent terms and outlining the historical development of this area of law. Main part of the work are the last two chapters, which are concentrating on the above mentioned issues through the interpretation of selected relevant jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights. This interpretation of the jurisprudence has resulted in answers on the set questions, with respect to the fact that it is a current interpretation of the Convention by the Court. The main finding is the necessity to realize that the Convention as a living instrument will keep developing according to the development of society, which leads to the results and answers being pertinent only at the time of writing of this work, with the future development being possibly different from current results.

The work primarily focuses on the analysis of consumer protection legislation in the currently valid Czech law. It also addresses changes in the area of consumer protection which will occur with forcing of newly approved Civil Code. Furthermore, the thesis compares the new Czech Civil Code with the related European Directive, specifically the new European directive on consumer rights - Directive 2011/83/EU, which was adopted by the EU at the end of the year 2011 and our Czech Republic as an EU Member State must incorporated it into its legal system.

6. Conclusions ► The capability of ARPC2 protein (subunit of ARP2/3 complex) to bind microtubules was described in this study. Our results indicated that ARP2/3 complex may mediate direct interaction between microfilaments and microtubules in processes where the coordination of microtubule reorganization and actin mediated growth was required. ► We showed that cell-malforming effect of growth retardant ancymidol was based on its inhibitory action on cellulose synthesis. Microtubules played a passive role in this process and were not directly responsible for changes of the cell shape induced by ancymidol. ► Meristematic and suspensors cells in maturating somatic embryos differed in sensitivity to latrunculin B, probably due to different composition of actin isoforms in these cells. Application of low doses of latrunculin B resulted in selective death of suspensor cells and thus contributed to the development of high-quality embryos. ► Aluminium caused rapid cessation of root growth of Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings. We showed that the immediate reason of root growth cessation was plasma membrane rigidization and loss of endocytosis in root cells. This thesis concentrates on contexts and view-points, that should determinate the character of activities designed for gifted children in foreign languages classes. This work proposes some methods and ways that are convenient for gifted learners. It deals also with the characteristics of the teacher, who is able to conduct the gifted and the characteristics of the gifted in order to devise such activities that satisfy their special cognitive, emotional and social needs.

The submitted bachelor thesis revolves around application learning tasks within high school education on the example of teaching tasks which combine mathematical and geographical knowledge and skills. Based on the literature research the main focus is placed on a discussion and identification of essential benefits and limitations of application learning tasks in education. The potential of the combination of mathematics and geography when constructing application learning tasks, thus attractive tasks with practical use, has been evaluated. The thesis focuses on one of the map skills - map interpretation. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the process of solving tasks aimed at the interpretation of two types of thematic maps (chloropleth mapping and area-shading mapping) by students of final year high school and first year university. In the theoretical part of the thesis, map skills - reading, analysis, interpretation and map making - are characterized. Further, the concept of mapwork strategies is defined and the basis for determining these strategies is described. The thesis also discusses the application of eye-tracking technology in research aimed at investigating map skills. The characteristics of the two thematic cartography methods used in the experiment within this thesis - chloropleth mapping and area-shading mapping, are also described. The experiment conducted within this thesis was carried out on a sample of 19 participants. These participants completed, using eye-tracking technology, a didactic test containing tasks on the interpretation of thematic maps. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of evaluation in teaching geography from the teacher's point of view. The first part of the work is focused on the theoretical framing of the researched issues. The main concepts addressed are the professional beliefs of the teacher, the processes and results of teaching, the subject of evaluation and the functions and methods of pedagogical evaluation. For the practical part of the work, a qualitative research survey was conducted in the form of a semi-structured interview with 14 geography teachers in primary schools. We observed the professional conceptual apparatus of geography teachers in oral communication focused on teaching evaluation. The frequency of pre-established basic terms and the frequency of terms that were said beyond the terms set by us were monitored. Five basic terms were found, with which all respondents operate, namely mark, test, knowledge, presentation and by rote. The term mark has the highest frequency. Subsequently, a typology of teachers was created according to their approaches to teaching evaluation (stagnant teacher, overstepping teacher, instructed teacher and advanced teacher). The thesis focuses on skills to use aerial and satellite images of students in lower-secondary schools and the corresponding years of grammar schools. The aim of the thesis is to compile an achievement test that will test all levels of skills for work with aerial and satellite images. In the first half of the thesis, readers are theoretically introduced to aerial and satellite images and skills for working with them. The literature review, which describes previous research in the field of skills for working with images, is followed by chapters dealing with the compilation of the achievement test and the subsequent pilot survey, which was conducted on 49 lower- scondary school students. Based on the analysis of the pilot survey, the properties of individual tasks were determined and the test was adjusted to the final form. The diploma thesis deals with the identification and analysis of misconceptions that are formed when the ninth grade pupils work with thematic maps of quantitative mapping methods, specifically with the choropleth map and proportional symbol map. The theoretical introduction defines the tested mapping methods, reviews previous foreign and Czech studies of map skills, and describes misconceptions that are formed both in cartography in general and specifically when working with thematic maps of quantitative mapping methods. The theoretical part is followed by the practical part - the research methodology and the design of an open conceptual test itself. The test is compiled according to the concept map, which was based on the literature review of previous empirical studies and theoretical publications. From the conceptual map eight propositions (statements) that are key to understanding the concept of choropleth map and proportional symbol map were determined based on an expert evaluation. The conceptual test was used to reveal misconceptions that are formed when working with these mapping methods. The thesis is focused on the changes caused by distance education (due to the Covid-19 pandemic). Specifically, how the pandemic influenced the position of school geographic atlases in relation to other tools in geography education and how was changed the use of the functions that this tool could provide. These changes were examined in three periods (pre-pandemic, pandemic and post- pandemic). The focus of the thesis also determines its individual objectives. First main objective of this thesis is to compare the position of printed school geography atlases in distance learning versus face-to-face learning in relation to other teaching tools used in geography education. Hence, the secondary objective, aimed at ranking the main teaching tools used in geography education in face-to-face learning and then capturing their possible transformation in the distance and post- distance learning. This bachelor's thesis examines textbook tasks designed for the development of map skills. The purpose of the thesis is to determine whether, how often, and in what manner are Geography textbooks and textbook tasks utilized by teachers for the development of map skills in pupils in lower secondary education. The thesis also analyses teachers' assessment of the way textbooks and textbook tasks aimed at map skills are designed. The theoretical basis of the thesis explains the role and function of textbooks within teaching. The current state of Czech research on textbooks is introduced along with prospects for its further development. This is followed by the defining of what didactic textbook tasks are and what their purpose is. The thesis also addresses the determination of specific types of map skills (reading, analysis, interpretation, mapmaking) and gives a description of "models of map skills". This thesis deals with the use of didactic games in geography lessons in Czech schools. Its main goal is to use the questionnaire survey to find the so-called examples of good practice in schools. In the introduction there is a short literature search and definition of the term didactic game according to various authors. The main research method is an electronic questionnaire. A total of 72 faculty schools of the Faculty of Science of Charles University were addressed. Finally, 30 primary and secondary school teachers took part in the research.The questionnaire was divided into four parts. In the first part the general opinion of teachers on the concept of didactic game was investigated. The following section of questions was focused on teachers who use didactic games - the extent of games usage, in which topics of geography, as well as specific examples of games and their evaluation. The third section of the questions was intended for teachers who do not use games and found out the reasons that prevent them from using games. The last section of the questions deals with the sociodemographic characteristics of the research sample. The presented thesis focuses on the creation of an educational game, as a mean for teaching cartography in lower secondary education. The game serves as a tool for preventing a formation of misconceptions related to cartography and for developing map skills of pupils in lower secondary schools The bachelor thesis also includes a review of literature focused on teaching cartography on lower secondary education, especially focused on cartography in curricular documents, map skills and misconceptions in cartography. Moreover, an integral part of the thesis is the methodology of creating the educational game specialized in cartography teaching and thorough description of the individual components of the game.
