31. Low‐Polarization Lithium-Oxygen Battery Using [DEME][TFSI] Ionic Liquid Electrolyte

Abstract

The room‐temperature molten salt mixture of N,N‐diethyl‐N‐(2‐methoxyethyl)‐N‐methylammonium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide ([DEME][TFSI]) and lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI) salt is herein reported as electrolyte for application in Li-O2 batteries. The [DEME][TFSI]-LiTFSI solution is studied in terms of ionic conductivity, viscosity, electrochemical stability, and compatibility with lithium metal at 30 °C, 40 °C, and 60 °C. The electrolyte shows suitable properties for application in Li-O2 battery, allowing a reversible, low‐polarization discharge-charge performance with a capacity of about 13 Ah g-1/carbon in the positive electrode and coulombic efficiency approaching 100 %. The reversibility of the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR)/oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is demonstrated by ex situ XRD and SEM studies. Furthermore, the study of the cycling behavior of the Li-O2 cell using the [DEME][TFSI]‐LiTFSI electrolyte at increasing temperatures (from 30 to 60 °C) evidences enhanced energy efficiency together with morphology changes of the deposited species at the working electrode. In addition, the use of carbon‐coated Zn0.9Fe0.1O (TMO‐C) lithium‐conversion anode in an ionic‐liquid‐based Li‐ion/oxygen configuration is preliminarily demonstrated.

34. L’adénocarcinome papillaire digital agressif: un cas rare et revue de la littérature

Abstract

L’adénocarcinome papillaire digital agressif est une variante très rare des tumeurs des glandes sudoripares. Il a un taux élevé de récidive locale et peut métastaser. Les auteurs rapportent un cas d’adénocarcinome papillaire digital agressif et discutent les particularités de ces tumeurs à travers une revue de la littérature. Un patient de 32 ans présentait une tuméfaction du 3ème doigt gauche évoluant depuis 3 ans. L’examen trouvait une tuméfaction de 5mm/5mm bleutée latéropulpaire de la 3ème phalange. La radiographie de la main était normale. Une biopsie exérèseavait été faite. L’étude immunohistochimique montrait un adénocarcinome papillaire digital agressif, peu différencié, avec des marges d’exérèse envahies. Le bilan d’extension était négatif. Une désarticulation de l’inter phalangienne proximal était réalisée. Au recul de 16 mois, il n’y avait pas de récidive.L’adénocarcinome papillaire digital agressif est une tumeur sudorale exocrine, décrite initialement par Helwig en 1979. Les principaux diagnostiques différentiels sont le syringome chondroïde, le spiradénomeexocrine, les métastases de carcinomes (carcinome canalaire du sein). Elle a un fort potentiel métastatique et doit de ce fait être traité agressivementpar une exérèse large ou une amputation digitale. Des chimiothérapies antimitotiques ont été essayées sur les patients métastatiques, sansefficacité observée. Tumeur d’aspect clinique non spécifique, le diagnostic ne peut être qu’histologique, à partir de biopsies ou d’exérèse-biopsies.Son caractère agressif justifie une prise en charge chirurgicale radicale pouvant aller jusqu’à l’amputation.Mots clés: carcinome annexiel; adénocarcinome papillaire digital agressif ; tumeur de la glande sudoripare.Aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinoma is a rare variant of sweat gland carcinoma. These tumors have a high rate of local recurrence and can metastasize. The authors report a case of aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinoma and discuss the characteristics of these tumors through a literature review.A 32 year old patient had a swelling of the left third finger moving from 3 years. The examination revealed swelling of lateral-blue pulp 5mm/5mm the third phalanx. The hand radiograph was normal. Excision biopsy was performed. Immunohistochemical study showed aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinoma, poorly differentiated, with excision margins invaded. The staging was negative. A dislocation of theproximal inter-phalangeal joint was performed. Decline in 16 months, there was no recurrence. Aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinoma is a tumor eccrine sweat, first described by Helwig in 1979. The main differential diagnostics are chondroid syringoma, the eccrine Spiradenoma, metastasis of carcinoma (ductal carcinoma of the breast). It has a high metastatic potential and should therefore be treated aggressively by wide excision or digital amputation. Antimitotic chemotherapy was tested on metastatic patients without efficacy observed.Nonspecific clinical appearance tumor, histological diagnosis can be, from biopsy or excision-biopsy.
