BACKGROUND: Testicular cancer poses a substantial health burden globally, and early detection through testicular self-examination (TSE) is vital for improving prognosis. The study aims to assess the perception, awareness, knowledge, and factors associated with TSE among Saudi nursing students. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A structured questionnaire was distributed to 418 participants. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, and t-tests. RESULTS: On average, the participants’ self-confidence in their knowledge to perform TSE was 6.18 (±3.3) out of 10. The majority of participants held misconceptions about TSE, perceiving it as painful (91.86%) and embarrassing (52.39%). The mean of correct awareness and knowledge levels of participants about steps in performing TSE was 9.2 (SD = ±3.6) out of 21. On average, the correct perception of TC and TSE was 11.73 (±4.11) out of 20. Significant relationships emerged between TSE performance and factors such as being married (P = 0.043), having good or less health status (P = 0.015), being a tobacco user (P = 0.039), having a medical problem with testicles (P = 0.005) or family history of TC (P = 0.007), has been learned about TSE (P = 0.002), high-grade point average (P = 0.012), had high self-confidence to perform TSE (P = 0.033), and had correct perception about TC and TSE (P = 0.037), had correct awareness about TSE (P = 0.021), had motivated factors that influencing to practice of TSE (P = 0.003), and had correct awareness and knowledge levels of participants about steps in performing TSE (P = 0.002). CONCLUSION: The study underscores the need for targeted educational interventions and curriculum enhancements to dispel misconceptions, improve awareness, and promote accurate TSE practices among nursing students. Public health campaigns are recommended to address barriers and normalize TSE.

Background: Because of their regular isolation, patients with COVID-19 had high levels of anxiety and irregular sleep patterns. Certain sleep-enhancing medications may hinder the aerobic system and exacerbate the illness. lengthen the bedside, which could increase the risk of medical infections. Objective: To determine how COVID-19 survivors’ anxiety and sleep quality are affected by progressive muscle relaxation. Methods: A total of 146 Jordanian patients who were admitted to the isolation suite were chosen at random to be placed in the experimental and control groups. For five days in a row, the experimental group used progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) technology for 30 min each day. The control group received only standard medical attention and medication. The Spielberg State-Trait Anxiety Scale (STAI) and Sleep State Self Rating Scale (SRSS) were used to measure patient anxiety and sleep quality before and after the intervention. Ultimately, SPSS 25.0 was used to analyze the data. Results: Prior to intervention, the average anxiety score (STAI) was not statistically significant (P = 0.89); however, following the intervention, it became statistically significant (P < 0.05). Objective: This article investigates the intricate interplay between spirituality, religion, healthcare services, and cultural diversity concerning non-communicable diseases. Methods: The authors thoroughly searched scholarly articles in databases like CINAHL Database, PubMed, and MEDLINE. This search utilised English keywords. A review of these articles involved three approaches: a thorough investigation, a content analysis, and historical context. Results: There is a clear deficiency in cancer patients’ access to spiritual and religious healthcare treatments. This is not just a gap but extends to a failure to meet the all-encompassing requirements of individuals grappling with the multifaceted challenges of cancer. The lack of dedicated services deprives patients of crucial support for their emotional and spiritual well-being, impacting the holistic nature of their care. Recognising the profound psychological and spiritual implications of cancer, tailored spiritual and religious services have the potential to provide comfort, encouragement, and a sense of purpose. Conclusions: The analysis emphasises the interconnectedness of spiritual and religious healthcare services with cultural diversity. It comprehensively depicts the varied cultural dimensions of delivering these services to individuals battling cancer.

Objective: Evaluate how well an intervention program reduces anxiety, depression, and fatigue. Methods: The study was carried out at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education in a hospital in Lebanon. A randomized controlled trial (RCT) was conducted with 30 patients undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Participants were randomized into two groups of 15 each using an approach for comprehensive enumeration sampling. The Zung Anxiety Scale, Beck Depression Inventory, and Fatigue Scale were among the research instruments. The study approach involved counseling, home care, and the Progressive Muscle Relaxation technique. Results: Both groups had comparable sociodemographic and clinical profiles. The study comprised 30 participants, averaging 32 years in the experimental group and 28 years in the control group. Most of the participants were married (74 % experimental, 60 % control), with a significant proportion identified as housewives (87 % control, 60 % experimental). In addition, many had limited education, with 74 % of the experimental group and 67 % of the control group below the primary level. The intervention group, which received counseling, home care and Progressive Muscle Relaxation, experienced significantly greater reductions in anxiety, depression, and fatigue, with p-values below 0.001 for all variables. Statistical analyzes, including paired and independent t-tests, confirmed these findings. Conclusions: The therapeutic program significantly reduced anxiety, depression, and fatigue in patients undergoing cancer treatment, with p-values less than 0.001. These findings highlight the importance of tailored support, suggesting that integrating such interventions into standard care can improve patients’ mental and emotional well-being.
