Abstract

Data hiding and watermarking are considered one of the most important topics in cyber security. This article proposes an optimized method for embedding a watermark image in a cover medium (color image). First, the color of the image is separated into three components (RGB). Consequently, the discrete wavelet transform is applied to each component to obtain four bands (high–high, high–low, low–high, and low–low), resulting in 12 bands in total. By omitting the low–low band from each component, a new square matrix is formed from the rest bands to be used for the hiding process after adding keys to it. These keys are generated using a hybrid approach, combining two chaotic functions, namely Gaussian and exponential maps. The embedding matrix is divided into square blocks with a specific length, each of which is converted using Hessenberg transform into two matrices, P and H. For each block, a certain location within the H-matrix is used for embedding a secret value; the updated blocks are assembled, and the reverse process is performed. An optimization method is applied, through the application of the firework algorithm, on the set of the initial values that generate keys. Using an optimization procedure to obtain keys requires performing lowest possible change rate in an image and maintain the quality of the image. To analyze and test the efficiency of the proposed method, mean-square error (MSE) and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) measurements are calculated. Furthermore, the robustness of the watermark is computed by applying several attacks. The experimental results show that the value of the MSE is reduced by about 0.01 while the value of the PSNR is increased by about 1.25 on average. Moreover, the proposed method achieved a high-retrieval rate in comparison with the non-optimization approach.

Abstract

Speech coding plays a crucial role in maintaining speech quality while optimizing network resources and expediting transmission, as well as facilitating the storage of speech data. In this paper, an adaptive method for speech coding using singular value decomposition (SVD), grey wolf optimization (GWO), and run-length encoding (RLE) was proposed. The proposed method streamlines the speech matrix through preprocessing, converting it into short intervals. Subsequently, each interval undergoes decomposition using SVD, followed by optimization of compression quality using GWO. Finally, RLE is employed as the last step to increase space-saving. The developed method was conducted on two datasets: Quran and LibriSpeech using PSNR, PSEQ, and MOS tests. The results demonstrate promising outcomes, achieving space-saving up to 89.80, 84.04, 74.76, 67.24, and 59.52, respectively, for different values of quality (10, 20, 30, 40, and 50). GWO was used to optimize the quality factor which varies in each block, further increasing the space-saving up to 85.77. The average value of PSNR was equal to 21.3, MOS = 4.71, and PSEQ was equal to 3.95. Lastly, the RLE method effectively reduced the size of speech matrices, yielding a highly satisfactory space saving of up to 90.77, while maintaining excellent speech quality.

Abstract

The providing and utilization of e-learning systems become a major challenge for various universities within the pandemic of COVID-19. The systems of e-learning like google classroom, zoom, and FCC have considerable features that would be beneficial for utilization during this pandemic. However, the effective utilization of the e-learning system is based on understanding the problem and the major challenges that face the existing systems of e-learning. Several institutions and universities of higher education have realized that the Internet value is changing the way people learn. The conventional classroom courses can be augmented with interactive tools on the Web and the old courses can be converted to the environments of e-Learning, whereas few academic institutions have been capable of embracing e-Learning in a manner that provides prevalent innovative utilization of the technology of education during the institution. This study aims to design a model that deals with all student cases in the current e-learning systems through which the student's cases are tested in terms of knowledge, perception and acceptance of the learning system in a manner that is not statistical as it was used, but rather in a more accurate way relying on the deep learning method in E-Learning Systems in the COVID-19 Pandemic, Consequently, taking a decision without human intervention relying on a set of levels to give a good result through which we can know the true percentage in favour of the e-learning system and make a decision to continue it and subsequently address problems that the student refused to continue e-learning because in fact the lack of continuation of learning in Iraqi universities is their dependence on the questionnaire This does not give anything real because it is subject to manipulation and we note that most universities used e-learning, but it will not continue even though the questionnaire reaches 98% because people analyse this questionnaire on the basis of their answers according to the crisis that Iraq went through in the Covid 19 pandemic. That the student suffers from and how to deal with it later gives great hope in the continuation of e-learning at a distance or making it integrated, because it will show the interaction of the student.
