Organic-inorganic hybrid metal halide perovskite solar cells (PSC) represent a novel class of optoelectronic semiconductors that have garnered significant attention from photovoltaic researchers globally. This is due to their continually improving efficiency, straightforward solution processing methods, use of lightweight and cost-effective materials, and other notable features. The advantageous properties of perovskite materials, such as superior charge transport, tunable band gap, and distinctive electronic structure, contribute to their appeal. Over the past 6 to 7 years, diverse device architectures and fabrication techniques for PSC have emerged, achieving an impressive power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 25.7%. This review article primarily focuses on recent advancements in PSC fabrication techniques, synthesis, device architecture, charge transport mechanisms, band gap engineering, and stability. Additionally, it provides a summary of recently reported materials used in various layers of PSC, including the perovskite layer, as well as electron and hole transport layers. Lastly, the article outlines the challenges faced in the development of PSC, offers recommendations, and suggests potential directions for future research to guide the field forward.

This study represents the aerodynamic design of an Unmanned aerial vehicle intended for surveillance or agriculture with a maximum take weight of 125 kg. Weight estimation and constraint analysis were done based on the Mission profile. Design of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models were generated for three different configurations using CATIA V5R20 as a high wing, mid-wing, and low wing. Flow analysis was done for the above configurations at various angles of attack. ANSYS 15 was used for the flow Analysis. A Tetrahedron element meshed the model with the minimum required orthogonal quality. Five microns were given to the initial layer height of the prism mesh. Spalart Allmaras model is used as the Turbulence model in the solver. The aerodynamic characteristics of the above configuration obtained from Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) results were compared with the DATCOM program and validated with the wind tunnel experimental test data. The open-circuited suction-type Subsonic wind tunnel was employed for the test. The aerodynamic properties for the angle of attack in the range of -2° to 14° angle of attack are calculated using a six-component balance. The study aims to find the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) configuration based on the aerodynamic characteristics obtained from the CFD and DATCOM results. Background: Human angiotensin-converting enzyme-2 (ACE-2) and severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) main protease (Mpro) have been established as the prime targets to restrict viral invasion and replication inside the host, respectively. Methods: The current study delineated the SARS-CoV-2 Mpro as well as human ACE-2 inhibitory potential of carotenoids and polyphenols from tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) via in-silico interaction studies. Results: Our drug-likeness studies showed that the selected carotenoids and polyphenols exhibited acceptable Lipinski’s score and ADME determinants. Further, in-silico molecular modelling studies revealed that β-carotene, among other carotenoids, topped the binding score (ΔG: −6.75 kcal/mol; Ki: 11.32 μM) against SARS-CoV-2 Mpro, whereas, cyanidin was the best inhibitor of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro ( −7.24 kcal/mol; Ki: 4.92 μM) amongst polyphenols. Similarly, α-carotene from carotenoids exhibited strongest human ACE-2 inhibitory activity (ΔG: −8.85 kcal/mol; Ki: 326.13 μM), whereas, cyanidin from polyphenols showed best binding affinity against human ACE-2 (ΔG: −7.24 kcal/mol; Ki: 4.89 μM). In contrast, 6-(ethylamino)-pyridine-3-carbonitrile, standard inhibitor of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro, exhibited comparatively weaker binding (ΔG: −4.78 kcal/mol; Ki: 267.49 μM), whereas, telmisartan (reference ACE-2 inhibitor) also exhibited lesser affinity (ΔG: −6.40 kcal/mol; Ki: 20.40 μM). Further exploration via MDS studies also validated the dynamic behavior and stability of protein-ligand complexes as evident by desirable RMSD, RMSF, Rg, and SASA. Conclusion: The current study established carotenoids and polyphenols from S. lycopersicum L. as finer substitutes of reference standards against SARS-CoV-2 Mpro and human ACE-2 activity in combating SARS-CoV-2 infection. COVID‐19 causes morbid pathological changes in different organs including lungs, kidneys, liver, and so on, especially in those who succumb. Though clinical outcomes in those with comorbidities are known to be different from those without—not much is known about the differences at the histopathological level. To compare the morbid histopathological changes in COVID‐19 patients between those who were immunocompromised (Gr 1), had a malignancy (Gr 2), or had cardiometabolic conditions (hypertension, diabetes, or coronary artery disease) (Gr 3), postmortem tissue sampling (minimally invasive tissue sampling [MITS]) was done from the lungs, kidney, heart, and liver using a biopsy gun within 2 hours of death. Routine (hematoxylin and eosin) and special staining (acid fast bacilli, silver methanamine, periodic acid schiff) was done besides immunohistochemistry. A total of 100 patients underwent MITS and data of 92 patients were included (immunocompromised: 27, malignancy: 18, cardiometabolic conditions: 71). In lung histopathology, capillary congestion was more in those with malignancy, while others like diffuse alveolar damage, microthrombi, pneumocyte hyperplasia, and so on, were equally distributed. In liver histopathology, architectural distortion was significantly different in immunocompromised; while steatosis, portal inflammation, Kupffer cell hypertrophy, and confluent necrosis were equally distributed. There was a trend towards higher acute tubular injury in those with cardiometabolic conditions as compared to the other groups. No significant histopathological difference in the heart was discerned. Certain histopathological features were markedly different in different groups (Gr 1, 2, and 3) of COVID‐19 patients with fatal outcomes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
