Fragile X syndrome (FXS) presents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disability, developmental delay, seizures, hypotonia during infancy, joint laxity, behavioral issues, and characteristic facial features. The predominant mechanism is due to CGG trinucleotide repeat expansion of more than 200 repeats in the 5′UTR (untranslated region) of FMR1 (Fragile X Messenger Ribonucleoprotein 1) causing promoter methylation and transcriptional silencing. However, not all patients presenting with the characteristic phenotype and point/frameshift mutations with deletions in FMR1 have been described in the literature. It is believed that < 1% of cases are caused by point mutations. Genetic and functional testing of point mutations in FXS has yielded insights on KH domain RNA-binding properties of FMRP (Fragile X Messenger Ribonucleoprotein Protein) and nuclear export of the protein. Here, we report a c.1599_1601del p.Arg534del novel mutation in FMR1 with homozygous C677T MTHFR polymorphism in a 12-year-old boy. He presents with unique phenotype of FXS with ASD, developmental delay, nonverbal learning disorder (NVLD), overall IQ in the 5th percentile with above average verbal IQ (66th percentile), difficulties with quantitative reasoning, dyspraxia, below average visual-spatial skills (2nd percentile), difficulty with social pragmatics and social understanding, and executive dysfunction. He has a strong aptitude for music and exceptional aural skills. Identification of novel variants has helped in understanding functional aspects of FMRP. In addition, it aids families in genetic counseling and in administering therapies for children with FXS who present with atypical features.

Background: Lymphoblastic Lymphoma (LBL) is a rare neoplasm which represents 1-2% of all Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphomas (NHLs). Objectives: To present challenges in diagnostic of a rare case in limited resources setting Case Presentation: A 36-year-old male came to Dr. Soetomo hospital with shortness of breath, facial edema and chest pain. Physical examination revealed a decreased breath sound and dull percussion in the right chest. CT scan showed solid mass 10.4 x 5.9 x 14.6 cm in the anterior - medius of mediastinum. Fine needle aspiration biopsy guided by CT scan showed the spread of lymphoid cells, big in size, anaplastic, rounded and hyperchromatic nuclei. Core biopsy showed diffuse and monotonous pattern of pleomorphic cells, round to oval and hyperchromatic nuclei. Immunostaining were positive for CD3 and Tdt, high Ki67 proliferation index 98%, and negative for CD20. Conclusion: T-LBL is a rare neoplasm, that generally occurs in adolescents and young adults, and is most common in males. It is an aggressive neoplasm, which can involve mediastinal mass and cause superior vena cava syndrome. Immunostaining would be positive for Tdt, and variably express CD1a, CD2, CD3, CD4, CD5, CD7, and CD8. The prognosis was poor due to the aggressiveness and the relapse.

Background: The impact of religion and spirituality on schizophrenia patients' lives is significant yet understudied. Religion can provide hope and purpose but also lead to spiritual distress and delusions. It influences psychopathology, social integration, and treatment outcomes, serving as an effective tool in managing the illness. Objective: This review assesses the link between schizophrenia, spirituality, and religion. Methods: The study utilized electronic searches on schizo-phrenics, mental health, religion, religiosity, religious practices, and spirituality using PubMed and Google Scholar. Relevant articles were identified, including those assessing religion and caregivers of schizophrenia patients. Additionally, textbooks related to schizo-phrenia, religion, and spirituality were included. Results: Religion, faith, and spirituality intertwine as integral aspects of human experience, influencing beliefs, behaviors, and mental health. Recognizing their significance, clinicians must navigate their role in patient care while respecting diverse beliefs. The interaction between religiosity and schizophrenia presents complexities, impacting treatment adherence and outcomes, necessitating a holistic approach to psychiatric care. Conclusion: Religion significantly impacts individuals, including those with psychosis, offering both support and complexities in mental health. Clinicians must acknowledge and address religious aspects sensitively, as they can influence coping mechanisms but also pose risks such as non-adherence to treatment and potential for harm. Integrating religious considerations into clinical practice is crucial for providing holistic mental health care.

Internalization of peaceful Islamic culture in higher education is a concept that emphasizes the creation of a harmonious learning environment and respect for differences to achieve an effective, conducive, and minimally violent learning environment for students. Research on the internalization of Islamic culture of peace at the higher education level on the study of inner and social aspects to create peace often needs more attention. This study examines the effectiveness of Islamic inner and social peace culture in reducing student aggression in higher education. This research approach is quantitative research. The type of research is quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design: the design used is pretest- posttest control group design. Respondents came from 3 universities in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Forty-eight respondents were divided into two groups, experimental group (M=26.63, SD=3.41) and control group (M=24.38, SD=2.65) . Respondents in this study tended to have high levels of aggression. The sampling method used to collect data was purposive sampling. This research questionnaire uses a modified Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ) which has gone through a translation process using Indonesian with level reliability α= 0.763. The data analysis of this study used paired sample t-test. The results showed that the internalization of three principles in building an Islamic Culture of Inner and Social Peace, namely inner peace, soul cleansing, and noble morals, effectively reduced student aggression. This research implies that a harmonious learning environment in higher education can be achieved by strengthening the implementation of character building for students who are able to communicate, think critically, and solve problems peacefully.

The main complaint in knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is knee pain and limited range of motion (ROM) which affects the patient's quality of life. Dextrose prolotherapy successfully reduced pain and enhanced functional status and quality of life in chronic knee pain, which is classified as KOA grade II or III by the Kellgren-Lawrence classification. We present a case of grade IV KOA with co-morbid obesity who refused surgical management but got dextrose prolotherapy instead. She received prolotherapy for the right knee 5 times with a gap of 4 weeks between treatments. Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis (WOMAC score), Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), knee ROM, Barthel index, count test, and Timed Up and Go Test (TUG) were evaluated 1 day after each treatment and compared to each post-injection score. This patient is also comorbid of grade II obesity which is associated with mechanical loads on the knee joint causing inflammation and progression of KOA. After 5 months of prolotherapy treatment, strengthened quadricep muscle exercising and static cycle endurance exercising, she improved her pain, WOMAC score, and cardiorespiratory function. Hypertonic dextrose prolotherapy (HDP) is one of the choices for interventional therapy of its advantages, inexpensive, easily conducted, safe with minimal or even no recorded complications, and long-term efficacy even for grade IV of KOA like this patient.

Perangkat desa berupaya untuk tetap berkomitmen dalam memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal bagi masyarakat di tengah situasi yang tidak menentu dan berubah drastis sebagai dampak pandemi Covid-19. Pelatihan mindfulness adalah pelatihan yang menempatkan kesadaran penuh pada sesuatu yang terjadi di momen saat ini dengan keterbukaan dan penerimaan. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan mindfulness dalam meningkatkan komitmen pelayanan pada perangkat desa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimental yang didukung oleh pendekatan kualitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 36 orang perangkat desa yang bekerja di Kabupaten Sigi, Sulawesi Tengah, yang terbagi dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Partisipan telah mengisi skala komitmen pelayanan sebelum dan sesudah pemberian pelatihan mindfulness. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Paired-Samples T Test dengan bantuan software IBM® SPSS® Statistics. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah pemberian pelatihan mindfulness pada kelompok eksperimen, diketahui bahwa terdapat peningkatan skor komitmen pelayanan pada perangkat desa, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak mengalami peningkatan skor komitmen pelayanan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan mindfulness merupakan salah satu teknik yang efektif untuk meningkatkan komitmen pelayanan pada perangkat desa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah komitmen pelayanan pada perangkat desa dapat dikembangkan dengan cara mempraktikkan teknik mindfulness. Materi dalam pelatihan teknik mindfulness yang telah dipelajari oleh para perangkat desa dapat ditindaklanjuti dengan latihan informal mindfulness secara rutin dan teratur, baik dalam lingkup pekerjaan, maupun kehidupan sehari-hari.

Spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas (SDAVF) are the most common vascular malformations affecting the spinal cord. It is infrequently encountered in clinical practice and is believed to be acquired, predominantly affecting middle-aged and elderly men with unknown etiology. It is usually misdiagnosed despite presenting with conventional clinical findings and radiological features. Insidious onset of myelopathic findings is seen in addition to pathognomonic findings of cord edema and intrathecal flow voids on MRI. We present a case of SDAVF that was missed by the treating orthopedic surgeon and underwent spinal decompression with subsequent persistence of myelopathic symptoms. Angiography is required to confirm the diagnosis location of the fistula. Treatment is with embolization using liquid embolic agents or surgical through ligation of the draining vein. Endovascular techniques are minimally invasive, safe, and effective. Knowledge of the characteristics and advantages/disadvantages of each agent helps in planning and appropriate selection of agents for the patient. We report successful embolization with improved clinical outcomes for the patient using precipitating hydrophobic injectable liquid (PHIL) embolic agent. The outcome and prognosis of SDAVF depend on the duration of symptoms, severity of neurological symptoms, and successful occlusion of the fistulous draining vein. Awareness of this rare condition amongst clinicians and radiologists, would enable an earlier diagnosis and avoid morbid outcomes of this treatable condition.

MNGIE (Mitochondrial Neurogastrointestinal Encephalomyopathy) is an ultra-rare autosomal recessive disorder that leads to mutations in the nuclear genes encoding thymidine phosphorylase. Symptoms include gastrointestinal dysmotility, cachexia, ptosis, external ophthalmoplegia, sensorimotor neuropathy and asymptomatic leukoencephalopathy. We describe the first case of MNGIE with meningoencephalitis that ultimately led to a familial diagnosis ending a diagnostic odyssey. We retrospectively reviewed the electronic medical records and sent whole exome sequencing for the index case and his family members. We report the variant c.877T>C p.(Cys293Arg) found in TYMP gene in all affected siblings showed typical clinical manifestations related to MNGIE. To the best of our knowledge, this is not described in the literature nor in the population databases dbSNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism Database) and gnomAD (Genome Aggregation Database). Additionally, it is located in a highly conserved residue and the bioinformatic analysis suggests it is most probably deleterious. Moreover, we estimated 550 number of cases of MNGIE (including 5 cases in this study) after performing an extensive search in the literature across 3 databases from 1983-2023. In addition, we identified 44 patients with MNGIE-like phenotype in genes other than TYMP . MNGIE-like phenotype affects POLG1 , RRM2B, LIG3, RRM1, MTTV1 , and MT-RNR1 genes.

Key Clinical Message This case underscores the importance of early detection and treatment for total anomalous pulmonary venous connection, a rare congenital heart condition, through comprehensive newborn physical exams and prompt specialist referrals. Abstract Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) is a rare form of congenital heart disease that is typically diagnosed in neonates. TAPVC has four subtypes, with the infracardiac type at risk of obstruction. TAPVC is usually diagnosed in newborns but can occur in other age groups. In this case, a 7‐month‐old male with recurrent cyanotic episodes was diagnosed with TAPVC of the infracardiac type using computed tomography angiography. The patient underwent successful surgical repair with a favorable postoperative course and was discharged in stable condition, and further follow‐up was not possible beyond 2 months. This case emphasizes the importance of early recognition and management of this condition to prevent the progression of subsequent complications.

The present study aims at investigating The Effect of Slip-writing teaching technique on the performance of university EFL Students in essay writing. Quasi experimental design with a non –randomized control group, pretest-posttest is adopted. The sample of the present study includes (87) male and female college students selected from 3rd year university students of ThiQar university ,College of Education for Human Sciences, Department of English Language.Face validity and reliability coefficient of the pretest/posttest have been computed.Two independent sample t-test formulas have been used. Final results reveal thatthere is statistically significance difference between the two groups. This means that the experimental group students have proved to be better in their essay writing because they were taught by using the slip-writing technique..Finally, suitable conclusions and recommendations are put forward.

Classroom management is one of the efforts to improve mathematics learning, both planning for mathematics learning. Planning is preparing mathematics learning materials that will be delivered by the teacher, what is taught is students, teachers monitor students' activities, by preparing the tools, readiness of the classroom environment, class comfort, conducive, the teacher prepares students in such a way before the mathematics learning process. Organizing is making learning tools. The online math learning uses the WhatsApp application. The mathematics learning material delivered is in the form of a file in which the file contains a photo of the material along with an explanation, a video with the material along with some exercises and assignments. Teachers are able to lead and manage classes at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hilir by recognizing classes that are getting bored, by changing learning methods so that students can understand mathematics learning. The evaluation carried out by the teacher saw that students were able to work on questions, assignments, exercises and exams. This is done by giving questions, quizzes, pre-tests, assignments, exercises and exams. Efforts to improve students' mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hilir are by carrying out learning activities that relate to everyday life in accordance with the learning materials. Efforts to improve it are also carried out by providing several questions, assignments, exercises and pre-tests. Efforts to improve mathematics learning teachers provide questions, assignments, exercises, with the results of these answers students are able to explain the results of answers to questions, assignments, and exercises so that there is a reciprocal effort between teachers and students

There are many systems like Hadoop that have been developed to effectively handle big data. However, these systems face challenges related to duplicate files, which consume additional resources for both storage and processing. Several approaches have been developed to eliminate duplicate files using hash algorithms. However, these algorithms have struggled to achieve a balance between execution speed and collision probability. Furthermore, the methods employed for storing hash values lead to lengthy match times and an elevated risk of collisions. In this paper, we propose ALLI, an approach designed to accelerate execution time and reduce collision probability during both the hashing and matching stages. ALLI combines the Arithmetic Logic Hash Algorithm (ALHA) for generating 1024-bit hash values and Two-Level Indexing in HBase (TLI-HBase) for efficient storage of hash values. Experiments conducted on four different datasets demonstrate that ALLI outperforms existing file-level deduplication techniques, achieving execution times that are twice as fast as those of other approaches. Moreover, the results indicate that ALHA is 2 to 3 times faster than other hash algorithms while also reducing collision probability even further. Additionally, TLI-HBase improves performance during the matching stage by significantly reducing the number of hash value comparisons compared to other storage methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of this study is to develop a lab-scale model for energy self-sufficiency via the promotion of the generation of sustainable renewable energy from bread waste and sewage sludge to biogas. Most of the garbage consisting of bread and sewage sludge is typically disposed of in landfills, which can result in substantial health and environmental problems due to the release of gaseous substances. As a result of this, the research endeavors to make use of sewage sludge and bread wastes as substrates to produce methane. A pH meter and a drying oven were used, respectively, to analyze each substrate’s pH level as well as its dry weight, total solids, and volatile solids content. A methane gas detector was used on each sample to check for the presence of methane. The recorded pH is within the optimal range as it is between 6.9 and 7.2 for the substrates, bread waste, and sewage sludge as well as both ratios of the mixtures before and after the anaerobic co-digestion process. Following three to four days of cultivation using the streaking and spread culture method on nutrient agar, the microorganisms Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated from the bread waste and sewage sludge, respectively. The methane gas detector registered a value of 9999 ppm, which is 20% LEL.

BackgroundOf around 2 billion Muslims worldwide, approximately 1.5 billion observe Ramadan fasting (RF) month. Those that observe RF have diverse cultural, ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds and are distributed over a wide geographical area. Sleep is known to be significantly altered during the month of Ramadan, which has a profound impact on human health. Moreover, sleep is closely connected to dietary and lifestyle behaviors.MethodsThis cross-sectional study collected data using a structured, self-administered electronic questionnaire that was translated into 13 languages and disseminated to Muslim populations across 27 countries. The questionnaire assessed dietary and lifestyle factors as independent variables, and three sleep parameters (quality, duration, and disturbance) as dependent variables. We performed structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine how dietary and lifestyle factors affected these sleep parameters.ResultsIn total, 24,541 adults were enrolled in this study. SEM analysis revealed that during RF, optimum sleep duration (7–9 h) was significantly associated with sufficient physical activity (PA) and consuming plant-based proteins. In addition, smoking was significantly associated with greater sleep disturbance and lower sleep quality. Participants that consumed vegetables, fruits, dates, and plant-based proteins reported better sleep quality. Infrequent consumption of delivered food and infrequent screen time were also associated with better sleep quality. Conflicting results were found regarding the impact of dining at home versus dining out on the three sleep parameters.ConclusionIncreasing the intake of fruits, vegetables, and plant-based proteins are important factors that could help improve healthy sleep for those observing RF. In addition, regular PA and avoiding smoking may contribute to improving sleep during RF.

Kalindaqdaq is a literary work of Mandar community which is considered as an old poetry and one of the actualizations of religion and local wisdom harmonization. Several studies on Kalindaqdaq have been conducted but none explores from ethno-pedagogical perspective. This study is aimed at supporting the importance of local wisdom in Islamic education because the education process cannot be separated from the expression of culture and customary orders proven to be capable of educating humans. This study employs a qualitative method with ethno pedagogical approach. The data are collected through a library research by identifying, selecting, and reviewing research outputs relevant to the topic and literary works about Kalindaqdaq. The analysis is conducted by finding out the integration or interconnection relationships of the local wisdom with education. The findings reveal that Kalindaqdaq functions as a means of religious education, morals, traditional socialization media, communication tools for traditional narratives and entertainment. Kalindaqdaq as a cultural product contains Islamic educational values, such as monotheism, worship, morals, social and heroism. The implication of this study derives from the findings. The findings imply that kalindaqdaq is important under an ethnopedagogical perspective, applicable in the educational process. This study is the evidence of Islam and local wisdom harmonization, which highly supports the development of Islamic education as an integral part of education in Indonesia. Kalindaqdaq merupakan karya sastra masyarakat Mandar yang tergolong sebagai puisi lama dan dianggap sebagai salah satu aktualisasi harmonisasi agama dan kearifan lokal. Beberapa penelitian tentang Kalindaqdaq telah dilakukan tetapi belum ada yang mengeksplorasi harmonisasi pendidikan Islam dan kearifan lokal dengan perspektif etnopedagogis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnopedagogis. Signifikansi kajian ini adalah untuk menegaskan bahwa keberadaan kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan Islam menjadi penting karena proses pendidikan tidak lepas dari ekspresi budaya dan tatanan adat yang dapat mendidik manusia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka dengan mengidentifikasi, memilih, dan mengkaji literature ilmiah yang relevan dengan topik penelitian dan karya sastra tentang Kalindaqdaq. Analisis dilakukan untuk mengetahui keterpaduan atau keterkaitan kearifan lokal dengan pendidikan. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa Kalindaqdaq memiliki fungsi sebagai sarana pendidikan agama, moral, media sosialisasi tradisional, alat komunikasi untuk narasi tradisional dan hiburan. Kalindaqdaq sebagai produk budaya mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam seperti tauhid, ibadah, akhlak, sosial dan kepahlawanan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini berasal dari temuan. Temuan ini menyiratkan bahwa kalindaqdaq penting dari perspektif etnopedagogis, yaitu penggunaan kearifan lokal dalam proses pendidikan. Kajian ini merupakan bukti harmonisasi dan adat Islam serta mendukung pengembangan pendidikan Islam sebagai bagian integral dari pendidikan di Indonesia.

Background: Indonesia is the fourth most populated country, of whom 10.8% are elderly people. The quality of life (QOL), which includes physical health, psychological health, social relationships, and the environment, is crucial as physical fitness may reflect the ability to perform daily activities without significant fatigue. The objective of this study was to explore the correlation of physical fitness with the QOL among the elderly. Methods: This was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional approach, including members of the elderly gymnastics club of the Haji General Hospital Surabaya. The physical fitness value was measured based on VO2max using a 6-minute walk test (6MWT). The VO2max (0.03 x mileage(m) + 3.98 cc/kilogram body weight/minute) was categorized into poor, moderate, and good. The QOL was assessed with WHOQOL-100 and grouped into poor, moderate, and good QOL. Data were analyzed by the Spearman correlation test. Results: In total, 33 elderly were recruited, with an average age was 67.85±6.11 years (range 60–78), mean height was 1.49±0.09 m, mean weight was 57.65±10.53 kg, and mean BMI was 24.92±3.69. The mean VO2max was 16.96±2.37, and the QOL was 64.61±6.82 mL/kg/minute. The 6MWT resulted in the physical fitness of poor (15%; n=5), moderate (36%; n12), and good (48%; n16). The WHOQOL assessment showed moderate (30%; n=10) and good (61%; n=23) QOL. Spearman correlation test results showed a correlation between physical fitness and the QOL (coefficient 0.356 and p= 0.042). Conclusions: There is a correlation between physical fitness and QOL among the elderly, suggesting that increasing physical fitness among the elderly, adjusted to their physical health condition, is important to get a good quality of life.

The purpose of this study wa to determine the challenge faced by teachers in implementin pedagogic competencies during the teaching process with a work from home system. This research is located at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Lemo Tua, Kuajang Village, Binuang District,Polewali Mandar Regency,West Sulawesi Province.The research subjects were 6 class teachers. This research is an exploratory case study using a qualitative research approach with data analysis techniques using triangulation. The results of the study found that the challenges faced by teachers were 1) teachers had difficulties in achieving learning targets according to the curriculum, 2) teachers had difficulties in implementing online learning using technology media, 3) teachershad difficulties in assessing student learning outcomes in accordance with validation instruments and reliable data. These challenges cause teachers to be unable to maximize their pedagogical competence in teaching with a work from home system. Researchers offer ideas to answer these challenges, namely,1) the need for simplification of learning and assessment targets, 2) the need for provision of digital literacy knowledge and the use of technology for teachers, students and parents,3) the need for smartphone subsidies for teachers and students during the pandemic.

يحاولُ هذا البحث مناقشة مفهوم قصيدة النثر، وتحديد ماهيتها التي يصعب التقاطها، وإشكاليتها التي طُرحت، وأسبابِ الخلاف حولها لكونها نوعاً إشكالياً تجريبياً لا يستقر على حال؛ لتمرّده على النّمط التقليدي في الكتابةِ الشعريّةِ، بشكلٍ جذريّ، تجاوز التّجديد الذي جَاء بــــــهِ الشعـــــــرُ الحر، واعتمدَ على الهدمِ والبناءِ معاً. وفي هذا المفهوم تتبدّى قصيدة النثر متحرّرة مـــــــــن كلّ تقــــعـــيــــدٍ مُسبقٍ؛ إذ إنّ قانونها هو اللّاقانون، وخلق تداعٍ للأحاسيس بطرائق ترتاد فيها عالم الشاعر الدَّاخلي، وإعادةِ بنائِه على وفق معطياتِ تجربته. وحـــــاول البـــــحث مناقشة الآراء النقدية التي تناولت نشــأة قصــــــيدة النثر، وجدلية رفضها وقبولها، وأهم القضايا المتصـــلة بـــــماهيتها شكــــلاً ومضمونـــــاً، والتقـــــاطَ مـــــا يمَّيزها من الأجـــنــــاس الأدبــــيــــة الأخـــــرى الــــتي كانـــــت - في معظمها - أشكالاً كتابّيةً شكّلت إرهاصات لولادةِ قصيدةِ النثر، وصولاً إلى تحديد خصائصها الفنية التي تبلورت في النقد العربي المعاصر، والتي تحدّها بقيمةٍ جماليةٍ، مع الاهتمام بتناول العلاقة العميقة بين الشعرية والجمالية لتحديد مفهومٍ متكاملٍ لشعريّةِ قصيدةِ النثر. وســـيتبـــع البــــحث الـــمـــنهج الـــوصـــفــــي الـــــذي يعنى بوصف المفاهيم، واستقصاء خطوطها العامة ومناقشتها، وصولاً إلى استنتاجاتٍ يرجو أن تقدّم فائدة حول هذا الشكل التجريبي الإشكالي، وماهيته.

The employees' presence is an important factor for an institution, which is relate to discipline and has an impact on the employee's performance. Therefore, it is necessary to have specific data collection to record presence, absenteeism, and work activities that has done every day so that employee performance record in real-time and proper. There are many ways that can be done to achieve a good presence information system, one of them is using computer and mobile phone technology which is implemented with a website-based presence application. At the Pontianak State Polytechnic, finger print machine used in the presence process system, but it is still lack in efficiency and effectiveness in data collection, data retrieval as well as data recap calculations, which require a relatively long time. Besides, the bigger risk of error and loss of presence data. Based on problems, a Web-Based Presence Application Development Information System created at the Pontianak State Polytechnic. The research method used in data collection, which includes research methods, interviews and literature. While software development uses a waterfall model which includes requirements analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation. This web-based presence application can provide convenience in the employee presence process, data search and presence recap calculations, and minimize loss and errors in recording employee presence data. Based on web-based presence application testing and evaluation to thirty-four employees of Pontianak State Polytechnic, it stated that the web-based presence application is suitable for used by all employees of Pontianak State Polytechnic.

This quasi-experimental study involves the experimental and control group which consist of 60 students in first year of SMA Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang 2019/2020 academic year. The reading test is used to collect data to find out do the students can achieve significant result in reading test using Text-based Character. Based on the result the mean score of the experimental group pre-test was 72.67 and classified into good classification, while the control group was 69.63 classified into good. The mean score of the post-test after treatment for the experimental group was 82.43 (very good) while the control group was 76.53, (good) classification still. The researcher found that the T-table is higher than the t-test (α) (1.6592.021). The degree of freedom is 58. This study reveals that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. This is means that the use of Text-based Characters can improves students' reading skills in significant way.

The purpose of this study was to produce teaching materials for infrensial statistics in the Guidance and Counseling study program. The collection of teaching material assessment data from experts uses a closed (direct) questionnaire, while student response data uses a questionnaire through the "google form" application and exam questions via "whatsapp". The research data were analyzed descriptively, namely the addition technique, calculating the average, categorization, and the use of assessment guidelines. The results of the development of teaching materials include: (1) the initial section consists of: cover, cover page, validation page, foreword, table of contents, list of tables, and list of attachments, (2) teaching materials of infrensial statistics are divided into 12 parts (main material) , (3) each section contains: description, material description, summary, exercises and questions, feedback, bibliography and practice answer key (attached). The results of the assessment of the developed teaching materials show that the teaching materials are good, the presentation of the teaching materials is good, the design of the teaching materials is good, the language of teaching materials declared suitable for use is very good, the practicality of the teaching materials is good. The effectiveness of the use of teaching materials, aspects of learning motivation are effective, aspects of student learning activity are effective, and aspects of student success/graduation using teaching materials are effective.
