Abstract Several studies suggested that good growth performance and survival of lobster juveniles can be achieved by feeding the lobsters with formulated feeds. This study aimed to (1) evaluate the growth and survival of spiny lobster Panulirus homarus juveniles fed with different diets having profiles based on a basal diet formulation and (2) to compare the growth of lobsters fed with an identical formulated feed with variations only in sources of fish meal and dry matter content. The feeding experiment was designed following a completely randomized design (CRD) with five diet treatments and five replicates for each treatment. Five experimental diets were prepared in this experiment, i.e., Diet A (basal diet prepared as moist pellets); Diet B (moist pellets with the same formulation as Diet A, using local fish meal); Diet C (moist pellets with the same formulation as Diet A, using imported fish meal); Diet D (dry pellets with the same formulation as Diet A, using imported fish meal); and Diet E (fresh fish). Juveniles of spiny lobster with an average weight of 3.00±0.07 g were allocated in 25 net cages (60 x 60 x 60 cm) placed in a circular HDPE canvas tank (7.5 m in diameter) at a density of 15 lobsters/cage in a flow-through seawater system. The juveniles were fed with the experimental diets twice/day for 12 weeks. The experiment showed that the best growth was observed in juveniles fed with moist feed containing local fish meal (Diet B) with the final weight reaching 18.74±2.30 g. Moist feed containing imported fish meal (Diet C) resulted in a higher survival rate (46.66%), and the lowest survival rate (13.33%) was obtained from juveniles fed with fresh fish (Diet E).

Stichopus horrens is highly exploited due to their use as a pharmaceutical ingredient. Since then, this species has become extinct; therefore, it is necessary to start aquaculture. Gonad maturation and broodstock spawning succeeded, but the optimum larval-rearing stocking density has not yet been determined. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the optimal stocking density to improve survival and accelerate the development of larval morphology. Three treatments were used: 100, 150, and 200 larvae L-1, each with four replicates. Twelve 100-litre plastic containers filled with 80 litres of seawater as larval rearing media were placed in a concrete tank with a water-bath system using a heater and a thermostat (29.0°C±1.0°C). The larvae were fed a mixture of microalgae (Chaetoceros muelleri, Isochrysis galbana, and Nitzchia sp.) twice a day-1. The data collected included survival and growth rates, larval morphological development, and water quality. The fastest metamorphose from auricularia to the doliolaria stage occurred in 100 larvae L-1, 15 days after hatching. The highest survival rate, growth rate, and percentage of larvae metamorphose to the doliolaria stage were obtained in the 100 larvae L-1 as 26.38%, 26.4 µm day-1, and 65.27%, respectively, and were significantly different (P

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui implementasi pembelajaran berbasis STEAM menggunakan media loose parts dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak usia 4-5 tahun di RA Mutiara Bunda. Subyek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 19 anak kelas A di RA Mutiara Bunda Desa Tegal Kecamatan Kemang Kabupaten Bogor Provinsi Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data yang dilakukan di lapangan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Miles dan Huberman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa melalui pembelajaran berbasis STEAM maka anak usia 4-5 tahun mengalami peningkatan berpikir kritis dan anak mampu memecahkan permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

The use of online platforms in testing is a necessity nowadays, especially in an academic context. The platform used in UGM, namely eLOK, provides a testing facility which enable the lecturers to simultaneously see the results of the test evaluations and questions directly from the platform. However, there haven’t been any studies that compare the evaluation results using UGM’s eLOK with other approaches. Therefore, this study compared evaluation results from UGM’s eLOK with the Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory 2-Parameter Logistics (IRT 2-PL) approach using the Graded Response Model (GRM). This study included 22 active students who took the test using the UGM’s eLOK platform in the Multivariate Statistics course during the even semester of 2020/2021 academic year. The results of the analysis showed that the evaluation using the UGM’s eLOK platform had close equivalence with the CTT approach, although each parameter’s value was slightly different. In addition, the results of the IRT analysis were found to have far differences with the other two methods, but these results only slightly reflect the actual parameters due to the minimal number of subjects. The results of this study can be used as a reference in using UGM’s eLOK as a student academic testing platform, where lecturers are able to evaluate the quality of the tests and items given to test.

This research aims to analyze school critical success factors that influence the provision of educational services to win the competition in admitting new students. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique uses nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling category using a judgment sampling approach. The data used is qualitative in the form of primary and secondary data. This research integrates two analytical methods, namely Porter's five forces, used to analyze the formal education industry, and the AHP paired comparison model method to determine CSF priority weights. The formal education industry analysis results obtained 16 school critical success factors, which were then grouped into four balanced scorecard perspectives and weighted using the AHP paired comparison model to obtain priority CSFs. The analysis results conclude that smooth cash flow, school security, comfort, quality of learning services, and quality of teachers are critical factors that schools must pay attention to in winning competition in the formal education industry. Meanwhile, from the BSC perspective, customers are the school's priority. Future research needs to discuss the significant correlation between CSF determination and the BSC perspective in the successful implementation of competitive strategies, retesting the CSF paired comparison using the expert choice application.

This study aims to analyze the level of sustainability of coastal resources in the Mentawai Islands District. As an area that has various potential resources. Many developments in coastal areas are essential means of regional economic growth. It turns out that development in coastal regions raises problems for their natural resources in the form of a decreas e (degradation) of their natural resources in quality and quantity. The decline includes shrinking mangrove forests, de creasing fishers' catch, sedimentation, and coastal abrasion around coastal areas. The MDS (Multidimensional Scaling) analysis approach will be used to determine the status of coastal resources as a foundation for sustainable coastal resource management based on the carrying capacity of the resources. The investigation findings suggest that the Mentawai Islands District's coastline management situation is not promising. The index for the ecological dimension is 42.31. In the moderate category, the economic dimension of the sustainable development index has a value of 51.31. The sustainable development index has a social dimension of 50.01. This dimension's legal and institutional dimension index is 51.84. The Mentawai Islands district's coastal management has to improve, given the increasing pressure to develop coastal resources in the future.

Strawberry agrotourism is the most extensive strawberry farming in Bandung, West Java. This agrotourism has the potential for nature, tourism, conservation, and regional economic potential. This research aims to identify the characteristics and assessment of visitors, identify factors influencing tourism demand, and estimate the value of the agrotourism economy. The economic value is analyzed using the method of TCM (Travel Cost Method). This method is calculated based on total consumer surplus, travel cost coefficient, and respondent visits. The average travel cost incurred by 379 respondents during the trip is IDR. 413,699, and the total cost of the entire journey is IDR.156,792,000. The surplus of consumer visits is IDR. 12,670, and the individual consumer surplus visits are IDR.33. The economic value generated for one year is IDR. 237,600. The factors that influence the demand are income, distance, and time to know the location. At the same time, the factors that do not affect the market are travel cost, education, number of dependents in the family, gender, and age of visitors.

The main constraints of Barramundi seed production are viral disease infection (VNN and Iridoviruses) and a high incidence of deformity on the operculum. The present study aimed to find a way to recover operculum deformity by supplementation of feed with probiotics and vitamin C. The seeds were reared in tank capacity of 200 L at density of 50 ind/tank. The condition of the deformity was signed by a shortened operculum on one side of the seeds. The treatments applied were (A) the seeds without deformity (normal) were fed on the commercial diet, (B) seeds with deformity fed on the commercial diet, and (C) seeds with deformity fed on the commercial diet supplemented with probiotic of Saccharomyces cerevisiae at the amount of 100 mL/kg of feed and mixed with Vitamin C at the amount of 2 g / kg of feed. Each treatment was 4 replications and reared for 40 days. The result showed that in treatment (A) deformity was 1%; treatment (B) changes to normal was 11 %, and recovery success was 21 % and still deformity was 68%, while in treatment (C), deformity changed to normal was 20 %, recovery success was 14% and deformity was 66 %. Fish with deformities have low genetic variation values.

The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of endogenous compared to commercial probiotics on the growth, digestive enzyme activity, and non-specific immunity of sandfish juveniles. Treatments were: A. diet without probiotic; B. diet supplemented with endogenous probiotics Gamma proteobacterium strain M-4, Bacillus subtilis strain Q-1, Bacillus sp. strain E-2; C. diet supplemented with a commercial probiotic containing B. subtilis, B. licheniformis, and B. pumilus. The research was conducted for 4 months using 12 plastic containers, 30 juveniles each (initial weight of 2.72±0.37 g, mean ± standard deviation). From each container, ten samples were taken randomly every 14 days and weighed and three intestine samples at initial and every following month to analysis enzyme activities. At the end the study, all juveniles were counted and weighed individually, and performed a challenge test by injected a 106 CFU ml-1 Vibrio azureus strain 4C-1 at 0.1 ml/ind. The agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors, as basic and sustainable sectors, are sectors that can provide food continuously and will never run out of time. However, this sector has never been studied quantitatively, whether the sector is a basic and sustainable sector or not. This research was conducted in Sumenep Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. The problem in this research is that the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors in Indonesia have experienced damage and land conversion which can cause food security to not be realized. The research objectives are (1) to analyze whether the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors are the basic sectors or not, (2) to analyze whether the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries is a sustainable sector or not; (3) whether the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors are developed and fast-growing sectors; or fast growing sector; or advanced and slow growing sectors; or relatively lagging sectors. The analytical method used for the first purpose is Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, for the second purpose, a comparison analysis of the results of LQ and Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) analysis is used and the third research objective is Klassen Typology analysis. The results showed that the value of LQ = 1.16 which means that the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors are the basic sectors. DLQ value = 1.90. The comparison of the LQ and DLQ values shows that the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors are the leading or sustainable sectors. By using the Klassen typology analysis, it shows that the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors are developed sectors but their growth is slow. From all the analyses used, it can be concluded that the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors can achieve food security.

Creativity has a negative impact if children's basic abilities are not developed early. Children's activities that still tend to be monotonous cause children to get bored easily. This study aimed to determine the level of creativity in early childhood through constructive games at Mutiara Hati Kindergarten, Bandar Lampung. The activities can positively influence children's creativity, so the happier children are in play, the better their creativity will be. This research is a case study research involving three teachers and 15 students. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis to be analyzed qualitatively using data reduction, display, and concluding. The results showed that children's creativity could be increased through constructive games where they can imagine carrying out these activities so that their creativity develops according to their age. Furthermore, constructive games give children the freedom to explore their potential. Children's creativity is marked by increasing their understanding of the process of constructive play by playing with blocks and plasticine.

This research explores the rising academic focus on sexual violence policies within universities, underscoring its alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals on gender equality, as advocated by the UN Women. This research aims to analyze trends in research publication topics related to sexual violence policies in universities. Using the Scopus database and VoSViewer software, this research method employs a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis. The combination of these two approaches successfully answered the research questions. Investigations and searches on the Scopus database produced 100 articles from 1991 to 2023 related to the specified keywords. Unique terms were discovered, which were then visualized and identified for future research opportunities. This study’s novelty lies in its dual-method approach, which provides a robust framework for understanding the discourse around sexual violence policy in academic settings and highlights opportunities for advancing research toward impactful solutions.

According to the Marketing Services and Development of PT TWC, waste around the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park area reaches 4 tons per day, consisting not only of organic waste such as leaves but also plastic waste. This issue is one of the causes of climate change that can trigger various environmental disasters if not managed properly. This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge about waste and waste management among the community with waste management awareness in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park. It is a quantitative study with a crosssectional approach, sampling 375 people using random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using bivariate tests (Chi-Square). Variables related to waste management awareness include knowledge about waste (p-value = 0.0004) and knowledge about waste management methods (p-value = 0.0003). The conclusion of this research is that knowledge about waste and knowledge about waste management methods are associated with waste management awareness in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park environment.

In Indonesia there are two species mainly farmed, these are Penaeus monodon and Litopenaeus vannamei. Due to disease outbreaks which were mainly caused by viruses, shrimp aquaculture is become a high risk, therefore is a need to find new species. Unknown species of shrimp named as udang pisang (Pisang shrimp) only found in Indonesian waters. In the present study, six species of shrimp available in Indonesia, those are Pisang shrimp (Penaeus sp.), P. monodon, P. merguensis, P. indicus, P. semisulcatus and L. vannamei were analysed by RAPD with two primers of 2AAM2 and AS15 to confirm their species. Preliminary trials on the culture of Pisang shrimp and P. monodon were carried out in earthen ponds to compare their growth. The results revealed that based on the gel banding pattern and molecules weight of DNA, Pisang shrimp genetically is different from other five species analyzed and morphology generally like P. monodon. The identity between Pisang shrimp and P. monodon was 92%, suggested the two species are different. Pisang shrimp is a new species named Penaeus symplex [14, 20] and has been validated. The growth of Pisang shrimp and P. monodon for 90 days of culture was comparable (19.89f1.71 g and 20.0111.08 g). Therefore, Pisang shrimp has high potential for aquaculture diversification.

Low feed intake has been considered a major problem in applying formulated feed for grow-out of spiny lobster (Panulirus homarus). This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of fishery hydrolysate in feed formulation and the co-feeding of formulated feed with fresh food on the feed intake of spiny lobster. Five experiments of feed intake assessment were conducted using either different sources (tuna, crustacean and mussel) or levels (0%, 1%, 2% and 3%) of hydrolysates, and experiments on different feeding schemes where lobsters fed either only formulated feed or formulated feed and fresh food. Each experiment was performed for 2 weeks using 16 fiberglass tanks (300 L) filled with seawater and each experiment has 4 treatments with 4 replicates. The experiment showed that including fish hydrolysate 2%, crustacean hydrolysate 1% (dry) or 2% (liquid), or 2 % tuna hydrolysate in feed increased the feed intake of spiny lobster. Feed intake of formulated feed decreased when they fed in combination with mixed fresh food. Feed intake of lobster fed mixed fresh food was lower than that fed either mussel or crab only, and lobster fed only fish exhibited the lowest feed intake.

This research examines the legal awareness of the coastal communities on Bintan Island regarding the prevention of election crimes, using a sociological jurisprudence approach. Coastal communities in Bintan rely heavily on marine resources and exhibit low education levels, making them susceptible to exploitation during elections through black campaigns and money politics. Utilizing empirical legal research and qualitative methods, this study investigates how socio-economic factors and local customs influence legal compliance. Data were collected through surveys and interviews with community members and leaders. Findings reveal that while there is some awareness of election crimes, skepticism about law enforcement remains prevalent, further exacerbated by poverty and inadequate legal education. To address these challenges, the study recommends implementing tailored legal outreach programs and enhancing law enforcement to strengthen electoral integrity in coastal communities. By understanding the interplay between law, society, and local customs, the research provides insights into improving legal awareness and reducing election violations in Bintan Island’s coastal areas.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic syndrome with multi-etiology characterized by chronic hyperglycemia. DM can cause a variety of complications, one of which is impaired liver function. The use of antidiabetics needs to get more attention because most antidiabetics are metabolized in the heart. This study aims to determine the control of antidiabetic glycemic, the relationship of antidiabetic types with effectiveness, as well as factors related to glycemic control in type 2 DM patients with liver cirrhosis. This research was conducted in June-July at Fatmawati Central General Hospital with cross sectional design and data retrieval period of 2014-2019 conducted retrospectively. The observation parameters of glucose control in this study were current blood sugar (GDS). Of the 106 patients who met the inclusion criteria, it was seen that the use of insulin aspart single in 34 patients showed good glycemic control followed by the use of combination insulin glargine-aspart in 25 patients. The results of the Chi-square analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between the type of antidiabetic on glycemic control (p-value = 0,159). However, the results of the Chi-square test showed that there was a significant relationship between the severity of liver cirrhosis and glycemic control (p-value=0,021) and gender was another factor that also showed a significant relationship to glycemic control (p-value=0,042). The use of insulin aspart alone or in combination with insulin glargine is the best in controlling blood sugar levels while in T2DM patients with liver cirrhosis based on this study.

Listening is one of important skills the students should posses in learning English as a foreign language. Listening has a vital role in learning a foreign language especially in communication since most of the students’ activities involve listening. Unfortunately, students’ listening comprehension did not reach a good result. This study was conducted to reveal the effect of dictogloss to improve students’ listening achievement. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental study. The samples were chosen from the second grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Pandeglang by using purposive sampling. The experimental class was taught by implementing dictogloss, while the control class was taught without dictogloss. A test was administered as the primary instrument to collect the data. The final mean scores gained from both classes were analyzed by using t-test at a significance level of α = 0.05. It was found that the mean score of experimental class was 67.6, while the control class was 59.96. The statistical calculation of gained score revealed that the t-count was 2.53, and the t-table was 1.668 at a significant level of α = 0.05. This showed that the t-count was higher than t-table. It implied that there was a significance difference of two mean scores gained. Therefore, it could be concluded that dictogloss provided positive influence on students’ listening achievement, and it could be an alternative technique to be used in teaching listening in the classroom.

Purpose: The compound quinazoline Q-Br, 3-(5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzylideneamino)-2-(5-bromo-2 hydroxyphenyl) 2,3-dihydroquinazoline-4(1H)-one (Q-Br) was evaluated for its antioxidant capacity and potential hepatoprotectivity against sub-chronic liver toxicity induced by thioacetamide in rats.Materials and Methods: Rats were assigned into five groups; healthy (normal) and cirrhosis control groups were given 5% Tween 20 orally, the reference control group was given a Silymarin dose of 50 mg/kg, and low-dose Q-Br and high-dose Q-Br groups were given a daily dose of 25 mg/kg and 50 mg/g Q-Br, respectively. Liver status was detected via fluorescence imaging with intravenous injection of indocyanine green (ICG) and a plasma ICG clearance test. Liver malondialdehyde (MDA), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) were also tested. The degree of fibrosis was determined histologically by hematoxylin and eosin and Masson’s Trichrome staining. The immunohistochemistry of liver tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP-1), matrix metalloproteinase (MMP-2), and alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) was performed.Results: Q-Br recorded mild antioxidant capacity, dose-dependent improvement in the liver status, and inhibition of oxidative stress compared to cirrhosis control. Histopathology notified a remarkable reduction in the degree of fibrosis. Immunohistochemistry revealed an obvious low expression of MMP-2 and α-SMA along with a higher expression of TIMP-1 in Q-Br- and Silymarin-treated livers.Conclusion: Q-Br treatment altered the course of toxicity induced by thioacetamide suggesting significant hepatoprotective potential of Q-Br treatment.

Oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) biomass is a potential source of renewable energy. Catalytic fast-pyrolysis batch process was initially performed to convert oil palm EFB into bio-oil, followed by its refinement to jet bio-fuel. Crystalline zeolites A and Y; synthesised from rice husk ash (RHA), were applied as heterogeneous catalysts. The catalytic conversion of oil palm EFB to bio-oil was conducted at a temperature range of 320-400°C with zeolite A catalyst loadings of 0.6 - 3.0 wt%. The zeolite catalysts were characterised by XRD, FTIR and FESEM. The bio-oil and jet bio-fuel products were analysed using GC-MS and FTIR. The batch fast-pyrolysis reaction was optimised at 400°C with a catalyst loading of 1.0 wt%, produced 42.7 wt% yields of liquid bio-oil, 35.4 wt% char and 21.9 wt% gaseous products. Analysis by GCMS indicates the compound distribution of the liquid bio-oil are as follows: hydrocarbons (23%), phenols (61%), carboxylic acids (0.7%), ketones (2.7%), FAME (7.7%) and alcohols (0.8%). Further refinement of the liquid bio-oil by catalytic hydrocracking over zeolite Y produced jet bio-fuel, which contains 63% hydrocarbon compounds (C8-C18) and 16% of phenolic compounds.

Research on instructional design for medication-safety is still limited, especially about the use of the Four Components Instructional Design (4C/ID) model. This study aimed to compare the knowledge and skills in medication safety of nursing students after the medication-safety training using four components of instructional design known as 4C/ID.Methods: This was a posttest-only quasi-experimental study using an intervention and control group. The participants were the third-semester students of a nursing school at Yogyakarta, Indonesia (intervention: n=55, control: n=40). The intervention group was trained for five weeks using the 4C/ID approach with interactive lectures, small group discussions, reflections, and skills simulation sessions. An observational skills evaluation and Multiple-Choice Questionnaire were administered in the last week after the training completed. Independent sample t-test and Mann Whitney tests were used to analyze the mean differences of knowledge and skills in giving oral medicine and drug injections between the two groups.Results: The majority of respondents were female (74.1%), aged 19– 20 years (77.8%), with GPA > 3 (87.37%) and, the majority had never received instruction about patient safety (69%). There were significant mean differences in overall knowledge (p< 0.05) and also in the skills of oral drug and intramuscular drug administration (p< 0.05) between the intervention and control groups.Conclusion: Training in medication-safety using the 4C/ID approach could improve the medication-safety knowledge and skills of the nursing students based on simple to complex learning.Keywords: 4C/ID model, medication-safety, nursing students’ education and training

ABSTRACT Independent English Language Learning is very important to do by students, especially students in higher education level, because they are often required to read many English references and use English on many occasions, for example in writing essays. Also, it is because the opportunity or time to learn English in the class is very limited. Therefore, students badly need to learn English independently outside the classroom. This study was designed to investigate the students’ perception of the use of “English Phrasal Verb” videos in enhancing their independent learning. There were six participants interviewed and observed to get information about the benefits of using “English Phrasal Verb” videos and the effectiveness of it in training the students to be independent learners. The study found that the students’ pronunciation and vocabulary mastery had improved as well as their listening and writing skills due to the use of videos and assignment given. It also revealed that the use of videos had successfully been a trigger for the students to find other English learning videos and learn them independently outside the classroom. ABSTRAK Belajar Bahasa Inggris secara mandiri sangat penting dilakukan oleh siswa, khususnya mahasiswa, karena mereka sering diminta untuk membaca banyak referensi Berbahasa Inggris dan untuk menggunakan Bahasa Inggris di banyak kesempatan, contohnya dalam menulis esai. Selain itu, karena terbatasnya kesempatan atau waktu untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris di kelas, mahasiswa sangat dianjurkan untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris secara mandiri di luar kelas. Penelitian ini didesain untuk menginvestigasi persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan video tentang frase kata kerja Bahasa Inggris (Phrasal Verbs Videos) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan belajar mandiri mahasiswa. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat enam peserta yang diwawancarai dan diamati untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai keuntungan menggunakan video dan keefektifan penggunaan video tersebut dalam melatih mereka menjadi pembelajar mandiri. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penguasaan kosakata dan kemampuan pengucapan Bahasa Inggris mahasiswa meningkat begitu juga dengan kemampuan mendengar dan menulis mereka karena penggunaan video yang dimaksud dan tugas yang diberikan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa penggunaan video telah sukses mendorong mahasiswa untuk menemukan video-video belajar Bahasa Inggris lainnya dan untuk mempelajari video-video tersebut secara mandiri di luar kelas. Objective of this research was to find out significant difference of reading achievement between students The objective of this study was to find out whether or not there was a significant improvement in students' skill in writing narrative texts after they were taught by using Genre-Based Approach. The method of this study was experimental design. The experimental group received a genre-based approach while the control group received the conventional method. The population was the eleventh-grade students of SMA Ethika Palembang. The sample was 60 students which was selected by cluster random technique . The data collection was a writing test. The data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. It indicated that there was a significant difference in writing skill between the students who were taught using GBA and those who were not. Based on the result of data, it was interpreted that all aspects of writing are increased after taught by using GBA Approach. The best-achieved writing aspect was style and quality expression. It assumed the use of words: phrases, sentences, and paragraphs in expressing the ideas were clear and effective in writing style. Further, the study provided evidence for the effectiveness of using the genre-based approach in improving the students' writing skill in narrative text.

Batam’s waters are a very busy sea lane and important for regional and international trade. High maritime activity, including the traffic of cargo ships, tankers, cruise ships, and passenger vessels, is an integral part of the economic and transportation life of the region. However, as a consequence of heavy maritime activity, the risk of ship accidents increases and is often a serious concern for those involved in the shipping industry and governments. Ship accidents can cause oil spills, dangerous chemicals, and other waste that can pollute waters, and beaches, and affect marine animal and plant life. This research uses normative research methods with qualitative analysis. This research aims to determine the application of the eco liability principle in marine pollution due to ship accidents in Batam waters. One of the concepts proposed to address the environmental impact of ship accidents is eco-liability, which is environmental responsibility.A method that focuses on comprehending and rebuilding marine ecosystems is needed to apply the notion of eco-liability to combat marine pollution caused by ship accidents. The concept of eco liability focuses on environmental restoration so that each polluter is responsible for providing compensation for environmental restoration efforts carried out through coordination between the central government and regional governments. To compensate for damage caused by oil pollution sufferers and control civil liabilities brought on by pollution accidents, international treaties have been formed.

Genetic profiles of broodstock are crucial to enhance a successful selective breeding program in barramundi aquaculture. However, there is currently a lack of information on the genetic variation of the barramundi broodstock population. The study aimed to examine DNA microsatellite characteristics of barramundi from two different wild populations, i.e., Indonesian and Australian waters. In this study, a total of 30 fish were sampled and analyzed from the two localities using six microsatellite primers (LcaM21F, LcaM27F, LcaM32, LcaM35F, LcaM36, and LcaM37). The observation on body weight of 9 months old barramundi showed that broodstock from Australia and Indonesia were 820.25 g and 786.59 g, respectively. Generally, private alleles and the heterozygosity numbers of the Indonesian population were higher than the Australian population. The present study suggests a different genetic profile between the Australian and Indonesian barramundi populations.

This study is conducted to provide information on the effect of temperature and incorporation of probiotics on the growth, survival, and health of Asian seabass L. calcarifer fry. A constant temperature of 30 ± 0.5 °C was applied for larval rearing of Asian bass combined with probiotic supplements (Alteromonas sp. BY-9 and Bacillus cereus BC). Containers for larval rearing were using a polycarbonate tank with a volume of 200 L. The treatments applied were (A) application of temperature and probiotics and (B) without application of temperature and probiotics (Control). Each treatment was repeated six times, and the rearing tanks were positioned in a large tank to form a water bath system. The results of growth of fry during rearing with constant temperature and supplemented of probiotics (A) and control (B) showed different growth profiles. The time needed to reach a body length of 2.5 cm in (A) treatment was only 37 days after hatching, while in (B) treatment, it took two days longer, which was 39 days. In (A) treatment, immunity increased in all target genes by relatively high multiples expression (5 times in CAT, 3-30 times in HSP-70, and 1 -1.6 times in SOD)

IUU Fishing has received increasing public attention in the last decade, due to various significant impacts, especially on the destruction of the marine environment. Meanwhile, the United Nations (UN) has established a global alleviation policy through the Sustainable Development Goals, which targets the practice of IUU fishing to be destroyed by 2020. In fact, the IUU Fishing index shows a slight increase, and 130-unit fishing vessels are still actively roaming. The success of existing IUU Fishing eradication policies is questionable, and one of the elements of success is the role of academics in supporting the policy process through scientific literature. This study aims to obtain an overview of the literature development to contribute to successfully implementing the IUU Fishing alleviation policy. By using two analytical techniques and elaborating on Discourse Network Analysis as the research focus being investigated, the authors review and map the development of their research. Bibliometric analysis and Content Analysis succeeded in answering the predetermined research questions. Opportunities for future studies are wide open to conduct studies focusing on implementing policies to eradicate IUU Fishing and DNA because these topics are dynamic, and the number of studies has tended to be low in the past 18 years.

This study aims to ensure that the behavior of individual stock investors has the best pattern in accordance with the existing personality, and see the business cycle starting from introduction, growth, maturity, decline in LQ-45 from the proxy of operational cash flows, investment cash flows, and funding cash flows. This study uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to see what behavior tends to be used in carrying out shareholding transactions. The results of this study create a behavior model of individual stock investors. Individual stock investors in Indonesia tend to have precision personality types in making stock transaction decisions. This type is a dominant combination, stability, and compliance. The model of individual stock investor behavior starts from making a price target; has a relationship between investors to exchange information related to shares monitored; valuation of shares to be transacted. In addition, the behavior of individual stock investors tends to have accounting information and corporate environmental concerns. Behavioral model Individual stock investors who already have two years or more experience in stock transactions, will have a unique pattern of technical analysis and their own fundamental analysis.

Secondary hypertension in children, to the rare extent, can be caused by endocrine factors such as pheochromocytoma, an adrenal tumor that secretes catecholamine. Only a few cases have been reported in the past 3 decades. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report of pediatric pheochromocytoma from Indonesia. We reviewed a case of a 16-year-old Indonesian boy with history of silent hypertensive crisis who was referred from a remote area in an island to the pediatric nephrology clinic at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia. Despite medications, his symptoms persisted for 14 months. At the pediatric nephrology clinic, pheochromocytoma was suspected due to symptoms of catecholamine secretion presented, which was palpitation, diaphoresis, and weight loss. However, as the urine catecholamine test was unavailable in Indonesia, the urine sample was sent to a laboratory outside the country. The elevated level of urine metanephrine, focal pathological uptake in the right adrenal mass seen on 131 I-MIBG, and histopathology examination confirmed the suspicion of pheochromocytoma. Following the tumor resection, he has been living with normal blood pressure without antihypertensive medications. This case highlights that pheochromocytoma should always be included in the differential diagnoses of any atypical presentation of hypertension. In limited resources setting, high clinical awareness of pheochromocytoma is required to facilitate prompt referral. Suspicion of pheochromocytoma should be followed by measurement of urine metanephrine levels. Early diagnosis of pheochromocytoma would fasten the optimal cure, alleviate the symptoms of catecholamine release, and reverse hypertension.

The rate of drop outs among indigenous or Orang Asli pupils in primary school is a worrying issue. They were found to be unable to apply the knowledge acquired through formal education systems in Malaysia due to the different 'setting' of the environment. This failure was due to the lack of understanding on how Orang Asli pupils learn, think, and act. The aim of this study was to construct a Forest School framework for the teaching and learning process in Orang Asli primary schools. The qualitative study design involved in-depth interviews with six experts from the Orang Asli community by using semi-structured questions to explore and clarify related sub-constructs. The results showed five elements that need to be incorporated in the syllabus were: indigenous music, herbs and medicine, handicrafts, tools for hunting and forestry. The Forest School framework would serve as a comprehensive guide and reference for policymakers as indigenous knowledge elements need to be incorporated in primary school's syllabus to ensure life sustainability of Orang Asli in the forest. Teachers could take advantage to help Orang Asli pupils to feel more enthusiastic and motivated in processing the knowledge given in classrooms as it hits close to their environment.

Abstrak Siswa SMA berada pada masa perkembangan remaja yang dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor termasuk lingkungan dalam perkembangan fisik dan psikologisnya. Kedekatan dengan keluarga dan teman memiliki peranan yang penting dalam pembentukan rasa percaya termasuk Interpersonal Trust. Atas dasar tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kedekatan orangtua dan anak terhadap kepercayaan antar personal yang dimoderasi oleh kedekatan individu dengan teman sebaya. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas XII yang berjumlah 99 siswa dan memakai skala Parent-Child Relationship, Interpersonal Trust dan IPPA serta menggunakan statistik dengan tehnik regresi linear berganda. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Hubungan Orangtua dan Anak berkolerasi negatif dengan Interpersonal Trust, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,111 dan nilai signifikansi 0,275 (p>0,05), yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar hubungan orangtua dengan anak maka semakin kecil kepercayaan antar pribadi (Interpersonal Trust), begitu juga sebaliknya. Meskipun demikian, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Variabel Moderasi (Peer Attachment) berpengaruh dan mampu memperkuat hubungan antara orangtua dan anak terhadap Kepercayaan antar pribadi. Background Respiratory problems, such as aspiration pneumonia, are major causes of morbidity and mortality in children with cerebral palsy (CP) and greatly affect the quality of life of these children. Nevertheless, there is limited data on the incidence and risk factors of aspiration pneumonia in children with CP in Indonesia. Objective To determine the incidence and risk factors of aspiration pneumonia in children with cerebral palsy. Methods In children with CP aged 1-18 years, incidence of pneumonia was studied prospectively for 6 months and the prevalence of the risk factors was studied cross-sectionally. At baseline, we evaluated subjects’ by history-taking, physical examination, risk factors, and chest X-ray to assess the incidence of silent aspiration. Subjects were followed-up for six months to determine the incidence of overt or silent aspiration pneumonia. Results Eight out of 36 subjects had one or more episodes of aspiration, consisting of silent aspiration (2/36) and clinically diagnosed aspiration pneumonia (7/36). Subjects with more severe gross motor dysfunction experienced more episodes aspiration pneumonia, although it was not statistically significant (p = 0.06), while dysphagia (P=0.2) and nutritional status (P=0.11) were not associated with pneumonia or silent aspiration. Conclusion Twenty-five percent of children with CP experienced aspiration pneumonia during the 6-month study period, with gross motor dysfunction as a possible risk factor.

Abstrak Remaja adalah masa transisi dalam perkembangan fisik dan psikologis yang dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor termasuk lingkungan. Kontrol dan penyesuaian diri mempunyai peran penting didalamnya, agar remaja tidak memiliki kecenderungan berperilaku delinkuen ketika ditempat pada komunitas dan lingkungan yang baru. Atas dasar tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kontrol diri dan penyesuaian diri dengan perilaku delinkuen pada remaja. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa S. M. A kelas X dengan menggunakan tehnik sampling jenuh dalam pengambilan sampelnya sebanyak 98 siswa dan memakai angket kontrol diri,penyesuaian diri, dan perilaku delinkuen dan menggunakan statistik dengan tehnik korelasi spearman dan diolah menggunakan komputer program SPSS seri 22 for IBM for Windows. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,721 dan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,037 antara Kontrol diri dengan Delinkuen, serta nilai signifikansi 0,345 dan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,096 pada Penyesuian diri dengan Delinkuen (p>0.05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara Kontrol diri dan Penyesuaian diri dengan perilaku Delinkuen. Kata Kunci : Kontrol diri, Penyesuaian diri, Perilku Delinkuen

Coconut sugar is produced by heating coconut neera. The brown color of sugar is derived from non-enzymatic browning Maillard reaction. It is strongly influenced by pH and temperature. In this study, the effect of pH and temperature on browning intensity and antioxidant activity of coconut sugar were examined. The pH of coconut neera was adjusted at 6 and 8 and the temperature of its heating was 100ºC, 105 ºC, 110ºC, and 115ºC, respectively. The browning intensity of sugar was determined by spectrophotometrically at 420 nm. Total phenolic content of sugar was estimated by Folin-Ciocalteu method and antioxidant activity was expressed as DPPH scavenging activity. The results showed that browning intensity and antioxidant activity of sugars was increased with increasing pH of coconut neera and temperature. It was found that the effect of pH at 8 and temperature at 115ºC show highest total phenolics (0.48%) and browning intensity (0.35) of sugar. The treatment also exhibited good antioxidant activity (DPPH scavenging activity) as high as 40%. This result also indicates that there is a significant correlation between browning intensity and antioxidant activity of coconut sugar.

Background and Aims: A quality improvement project (‘Safe Anaesthesia for ALL-SEAL') was implemented to reduce preventable medication errors and drug wastage in the operating theatre (OT) of a tertiary hospital. The primary objective of this quality improvement project was to prevent the incidence of medication errors, and the secondary objective was to reduce the wastage of unused drugs. Methods: A pre-intervention questionnaire and an audit survey were performed, and multidirectional interventions were designed post-survey. A post-intervention survey was conducted to evaluate effectiveness. The incidence of medication errors, including near misses, was assessed for root causes. Unused drugs drawn or diluted in syringes were recorded daily in each OT. The weekly drug orders and mid-week reordering frequency were also monitored. The data were reported as simple means and percentages. Results: Ninety-eight anaesthesia care providers participated in the survey (72.4% doctors and 27.6% anaesthetic nurses). Pre-intervention, 76.1% of respondents had experienced medication errors during their practice. Common errors included misidentification of ampoules or vials (65.2%), miscalculation of dosages (65.2%), improper syringe labelling (56.5%), accidental drug omission (54.3%) and wrong prescriptions (39.1%). The main sources of errors were fatigue/overwork (80.4%) and a hectic OT environment (71.7%). Post-intervention, no incidents of medication errors were reported. In addition, there was a significant reduction in drug wastage. Conclusions: The SEAL project positively prevented medication errors and reduced drug wastage, which should be further validated in other clinical settings. The Mahalanobis–Taguchi System (MTS) is a pattern recognition tool employing Mahalanobis Distance (MD) and Taguchi Robust Engineering philosophy to explore and exploit data in multidimensional systems. The MD metric provides a measurement scale to classify classes of samples (Abnormal vs. Normal) and gives an approach to measuring the level of severity between classes. An accurate classification result depends on a threshold value or a cut-off MD value that can effectively separate the two classes. Obtaining a reliable threshold value is very crucial. An inaccurate threshold value could lead to misclassification and eventually resulting in a misjudgment decision which in some cases caused fatal consequences. Thus, this paper compares the performance of the four most common thresholding methods reported in the literature in minimizing the misclassification problem of the MTS namely the Type I–Type II error method, the Probabilistic thresholding method, Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) curve method and the Box–Cox transformation method. The motivation of this work is to find the most appropriate thresholding method to be utilized in MTS methodology among the four common methods. The traditional way to obtain a threshold value in MTS is using Taguchi’s Quadratic Loss Function in which the threshold is obtained by minimizing the costs associated with misclassification decision. However, obtaining cost-related data is not easy since monetary related information is considered confidential in many cases. In this study, a total of 20 different datasets were used to evaluate the classification performances of the four different thresholding methods based on classification accuracy. The result indicates that none of the four thresholding methods outperformed one over the others in (if it is not for all) most of the datasets. Nevertheless, the study recommends the use of the Type I–Type II error method due to its less computational complexity as compared to the other three thresholding methods.

Background The prevalence of thrombocytopenia in neonates ranges from 22 to 35%, and one of the most feared complica­tions is intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH). Previous research in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (CMH), Jakarta reported a high incidence of IVH (43.47%) in infants with a gestational age of 2). Thrombocyte counts were recorded on the same day as the diagnosis of IVH. Results The risk of severe IVH was 28.2% in neonates with thrombocyte counts

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami kompetensi parenting orangtua, kendala dalam pengasuhan, dan strategi yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian orangtua peserta didik pada lembaga kelompok bermain di Kecamatan Pakem. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kompetensi parenting orangtua pada bentuk keluarga: (a) Nuclear family: orangtua cenderung mengikuti kemauan anak dan melarang anak bermain di luar rumah, karena orangtua berada di rumah. (b) Extended family: kecenderungan adanya perbedaan pola asuh orangtua dengan anggota keluarga lain. (c) Diverse family: kecenderungan orangtua memenuhi kebutuhan anak dengan bekerja sehari penuh, sehingga kurang waktu bersama anak. Kendala yang dihadapi orangtua di antaranya, orangtua yang bekerja dan mendelegasikan pengasuhan kepada kakek atau nenek, saudara yang lain, maupun kepada pengasuh. Strategi yang dilakukan orangtua adalah dengan melakukan pengaturan waktu dan melakukan pembatasan pergaulan anak dengan lingkungan, apabila dirasakan lingkungan tidak memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perkembangan sosial anak. Kata kunci: kompetensi parenting, perkembangan sosial anak THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE PARENTING COMPETENCY ON THE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN (CASE STUDY ON PLAYGROUPS IN PAKEM, SLEMAN) Abstract This study aims to investigate parenting competency of parents, parents’ constraints in parenting, and strategies undertaken. This was a qualitative study with subjects were parents of students. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Parents’ parenting competency, among others, the following: (a) Nuclear families: parents tend to follow the will of the child and tendency parents forbid children to play outside the house, because the parent is at home. (b) Extended familes: the difference in parenting from parents and other family members. (c) Diverse families: parents’ tendency to meet the needs of children with working of full day, so less time with children. Constraints faced by parent’s include the fact that they work so that they delegate it to grandfather or grandmother, other relatives, or babysitters. Parent’s strategies are that they manage time as effectively as possible and manage restriction of children’s socialization with the environment are made when parents think that the environment cannot give positive contributions to children’s social development. The study aims at describing ethnic expressions and their intention of Javanese farmers at Japanan district based on their social and cultural context. It uses descriptive qualitative research and the data are analyzed by Spreadly’s ethnographic analysis. The analysis tries to describe the linguistic units and their intension based on the social and cultural contexts. The findings show that the ethnic expressions consist of words and phrases. Those expression are used in all steps of agricultural activities done by the farmers, for examples, pranatamangsa ‘months’, mangsa udan ‘wet season’, macul ‘to hoe’, mangsa sada ‘the eleventh month’, gawe pinihan ‘cultivation of seedlings’, mangsa kanem ‘the sixth month’, ketiga ‘dry season’, luku and garu ‘plows’, ngrabuk ‘to fertilize’, matun ‘to clear away the weeds in the farms’, mangsa panen ‘harvest moon’, dewi sri ‘rice’, den bagus ‘rats’, methik/guwakan ‘mistic or ritual ceremony before harvesting time’, sedhekah bumi/bersih desa/rasulan ‘mistic ceremony after harvesting with wayang kulit show entitled sri boyong, sri mulih, or sri sadana.

The purpose of this paper is to explore if the learning of biographical writing contributes to the positive views and attitudes towards others of different groups. The paper used the Research and Development approach by designing and implementing a learning model of biographical writing. The subjects of this study were 200 seventh-grade students having different ethnic and religious backgrounds from nine junior high schools. The data-collecting method was pretest-posttest. The results of the study demonstrated that the average scores of the aspects of student empathy, student positive attitudes towards ethnic differences, and student positive attitudes towards religious differences increased in all the schools investigated. The increase of average score in the aspect of student empathy, positive attitudes towards ethnic differences, and positive attitudes towards religious differences could be classified into three categories: high, medium, and low. Most of the schools under study experienced medium and low increases of average score in all aspects.

This research was a quasi experimental aimed to investigate the influenced of inquiry learning model to generic science skills of students class XI IPA SMAN 1 Pangkajene Sidrap on buffer solution subject matter. Research design used “Nonequivalent Control Group Design” that consist of two variable there are inquiry learning model as dependent variable and generic science skills as independent variable. Population in this research is students class XI IPA SMAN 1 Pangkajene Sidrap academic year 2012/2013 which amount 240 students. The sample choosen by class random sampling and have choosen XI IA 1 as experiment class consist of 34 students and XI IA 2 as control class consist of 35 students. Instrument that used is generic science skills test (KGS) were integrated into buffer solution subject matter that includes indirect observation, sense of scale, logical frame, causality, mathematical modeling and concept formation. The data was collected by given generic science skills test in pretest and posttest by objective test. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The descriptive results showed that generic science skills student of experiment class get N-gain average 0.71 in high categories and control class get N-gain average 0.31 in medium categories. The inferential statistics analysis showed that tcalculated 7,17 > ttable 1,68 in significant level α = 0.05, so H0 failed or H1 accepted. The result of analysis describe that inquiry learning model have positive influenced to generic skills science of students on buffer solution subject matter.
