This paper aims to find out about the relationship between Qur'an memorization and Arabic learning outcomes in IT Al-Hijrah Deli Serdang High School students. The method used in this research is field research method (Field Research) using quantitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The population in this study amounted to 22 students and sampling using saturated samples or all members of the population were used as research samples. The data analysis technique uses the Produck Moment Correlation test with the help of SPSS version 26. The result of this study is that memorizing the Qur'an has a significant and very strong relationship with Arabic learning outcomes. This can be seen from the Pearson Correlation value of 0.802. obtained t count 5.998 greater than t table (2.086) at a significant level of 5% and a significant level of 1% (2.845), then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant relationship between Qur'an memorization and Arabic learning outcomes in Al-Hijrah 2 Deli Serdang IT High School students.

Abstract We study a simplified Dark Matter model in the Dark Minimal Flavour Violation framework. Our model complements the Standard Model with a flavoured Dark Matter Majorana triplet and a coloured scalar mediator that share a Yukawa coupling with the right-handed up-type quarks with the coupling matrix λ. We extend previous work on this topic by exploring a large range of cosmologically viable parameter space, including the coannihilation region and, in particular, the region of conversion-driven freeze-out, while considering constraints from D 0 – D ¯ 0 $$ {D}^0\hbox{--} {\overline{D}}^0 $$ mixing as well as constraints from direct and indirect Dark Matter searches. We find various realisations of conversion-driven freeze-out within the model, that open up allowed windows of parameter space towards small mass splittings and very weak Dark Matter couplings. Finally, we probe the model by reinterpreting current LHC searches for missing energy and long-lived particles. We point out gaps in the coverage of current constraints as well as new opportunities to search for the model at the LHC, in particular, the charge asymmetry in single-top production associated with jets and missing energy.

This study aims to numerically assess the impact of wettability and relative permeability hysteresis on hydrogen losses during underground hydrogen storage (UHS) and explore strategies to minimize them by using an appropriate cushion gas. The research utilizes the Carlson model to calculate the saturation of trapped gas and the Killough model to account for water hysteresis. By incorporating the Land coefficient based on laboratory-measured data for a hydrogen/brine system, our findings demonstrate a significant influence of gas hysteresis on the hydrogen recovery factor when H2 is used as a cushion gas. The base model, which neglects the hysteresis effect, indicates a recovery factor of 78% by the fourth cycle, which can be improved. In contrast, the modified model, which considers hysteresis and results in a trapped gas saturation of approximately 17%, shows a hydrogen recovery factor of 45% by the fourth cycle. Additionally, gas hysteresis has a notable impact on water production, with an observed 12.5% increase in volume in the model that incorporates gas hysteresis. Furthermore, optimization of the recovery process was conducted by evaluating different cushion gases such as CO2, N2, and CH4, with the latter proving to be the optimal choice. These findings enhance the accuracy of estimating the H2 recovery factor, which is crucial for assessing the feasibility of storage projects.

Abstract Knee osteoarthritis (OA) and obesity are major public health concerns that are closely intertwined. This intimate relationship was documented by considering obesity as the most significant preventable risk factor associated with knee OA. To date, however, the effects of obesity on the knee joint's passive-active structure and cartilage loading have been inconclusive. Hence, this study investigates the intricate relationship between obesity and knee OA, centering on the biomechanical changes in knee joint active and passive reactions during the stance phase of gait. Using a subject-specific musculoskeletal and finite element approach, muscle forces, ligament stresses, and articular cartilage contact stresses were analyzed among 60 individuals with different body mass indices (BMI) classified under healthy weight, overweight, and obese categories. Our predicted results showed that obesity significantly influenced knee joint mechanical reaction, increasing muscle activations, ligament loading, and articular cartilage contact stresses, particularly during key instances of the gait cycle—first and second peak loading instances. The study underscores the critical role of excessive body weight in exacerbating knee joint stress distribution and cartilage damage. Hence, the insights gained provide a valuable biomechanical perspective on the interaction between body weight and knee joint health, offering a clinical utility in assessing the risks associated with obesity and knee OA.

The aim is to investigate the quality of life and post-amputation adaptation of patients who have undergone amputation due to trauma and chronic diseases. The physical condition, daily living activities, sports participation and Barthel Index scores of patients who underwent lower extremity amputation due to non-traumatic and traumatic causes were evaluated. The patients' social lives were evaluated according to their divorcement status, sexual status and employment status. The study included 137 patients (21 women, 116 men): 48 with traumatic and 89 with non-traumatic causes. The average age in the non-traumatic group was found to be higher (non-traumatic: 61.8, traumatic: 53.2) (p [Med-Science 2024; 13(3.000): 654-60]

Bu çalışma, Türkiye'nin İran sınırında yer alan Ağrı ili gibi az gelişmiş bölgelerde devlet tarafından gerçekleştirilen kamu harcamaları ve yatırımlarının, bölgesel kalkınma ve ekonomik büyümeyi nasıl etkilediği ele alınmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Ağrı’ya gerçekleştirilen kamu harcamalarını ve yatırımları incelemek amacıyla Demokrat Parti iktidarı dönemini seçilmiştir. Bu dönem, bölgesel kalkınma politikalarının ve bölgenin ekonomik gelişimine yönelik önemli kararların alındığı bir zaman dilimini temsil etmektedir. Demokrat Parti döneminde Türkiye'de çeşitli politika değişiklikleri ve reformlar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu dönemde çok sayıda yol, köprü, baraj, okul gibi altyapı projeleri hayata geçirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda Ağrı’ya asayiş, bayındırlık, eğitim, kültür, sağlık, tarım ve hayvancılık alanlarında harcamalar ve yatırımlar yapıldığı kantitatif olarak ortaya konulmaya çalışıldığı, kaynakların kalkınma sürecinde hangi alanlarda yoğunlaştığı üzerinde de durulmuştur. Bazı yıllarda ise kurum amirlerinin istekleri doğrultusunda bakanlıklardan yatırım taleplerinde bulunulmuştur. Çoğu zaman ise şehrin milletvekilleri ve kurumları tarafından harcama ve yatırım talepleri yapıldığı arşiv kayıtlarına ve şehrin yerel gazetelerine yansımıştır. Modern devletlerin vergi toplama ve kamu yatırımları yapma yetenekleri, toplumun refahını artırmak ve kamu hizmetlerini sağlamak için kritik bir role sahiptir. Bu yatırımlar sayesinde, devletle halk arasındaki bağı güçlendirilir ve bir toplumun genel gelişimine katkıda bulunabilir. Çalışmamızda, Başkanlık Cumhuriyet Arşivi, Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK), yerel ve ulusal medya kaynaklarından sağlanan verilere dayanılmıştır. Bu kaynaklar, çeşitli disiplinlerde bilgi toplama ve analiz yapma amacıyla kullanılan önemli bilgi kaynakları olarak kabul edildiği için bu kaynaklara yoğunlaşılmıştır.

This article is the result of research on Gamelan instruments that examines from a technological perspective what is rarely done nowadays, through kendhang tempo recognition by proposing three classification modeling schemes. The proposed scheme is a new approach to kendhang tempo classification, using kendhang sound converted to image-based features via Mel spectrogram, then features are extracted from the image with Visual Geometry Group (VGG)-19 before incorporating the method K-Nearest Neighbour (K-NN) as a classification method. Based on the experimental results that have been obtained, modeling using the 3rd scheme, namely two-phase feature extraction from the Mel spectrogram image as the first phase and the second phase of VGG-19 with classification using K-NN has an advantage in accuracy (99.6%) of implementing Kendhang tempo recognition correctly and the average achievement of the fastest training processing time was 3.37 seconds compared to the 1st scheme with an accuracy of 94% and an average model training process time of 16.4 seconds and the 2nd scheme with a model accuracy of 98% and the average time to complete the model training process the longest is 6228.6 seconds.

This article evolved because several instances of anemia are still discovered too late, especially in communities with limited medical resources and access to laboratory tests. Invasive diagnostic technologies and expensive expenses are additional impediments to early diagnosis. An effective, accurate, and non-invasive method is required to detect anemia. In this study, the conjunctival image of the eye is analyzed as a non-invasive method of detecting anemia. Various model approaches were tested in an endeavor to categorize anemic and healthy patients as accurately as possible. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm-integrated MobileNetV2 method was determined to be the most effective plan. With this combination, the accuracy of 93%, sensitivity of 91%, and specificity of 94%. These findings show that the model can successfully identify healthy patients while accurately identifying anemic patients. This method offers a non-invasive means of detecting anemia early on, making it promising for use in clinical settings. The SVM+MobileNetV2 technique relies on images of the eye’s conjunctiva and can potentially improve healthcare by identifying people who may have had earlier anemia. This technique stands out as a solid option for the efficient and precise diagnosis of anemia when accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity are balanced.

Purpose – This study analyzes how zakat literacy and awareness affect compliance with zakat payments among Islamic students. Zakat literacy involves understanding zakat’s concept, types, calculation, and distribution, while awareness includes recognizing zakat’s importance as a religious and socioeconomic duty. Methodology – This study employed a quantitative approach using primary data collected from second- and fourth-semester students at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar through purposive sampling and questionnaires distributed to 116 individuals via WhatsApp groups. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS Version 26, chosen for its comprehensive statistical tools and user-friendly interface. Findings – Data analysis revealed that both zakat literacy and awareness had a positive and significant effect on compliance with paying zakat. Students with higher levels of zakat literacy and deeper awareness of the benefits of zakat are more motivated and consistent in paying zakat, according to Sharia provisions. Implications – This study highlights the importance of zakat education and counseling in universities to enhance literacy and awareness, which can ultimately increase compliance with paying zakat. This increase in compliance supports the achievement of Zakat’s social and economic goals in reducing poverty and social inequality. Originality – This study makes a unique contribution by focusing on the role of zakat literacy and awareness among students, a topic that has been underexplored. These findings can inform the development of more effective zakat education programs at the university level.

This article examines the pivotal role of Shah Waliullah Dehlawi (1703-1762) in the revival of Islam in the Indian subcontinent through Sufism following the decline of the Mughal Empire. Shah Waliullah, a Sufi affiliated with the Naqshbandi Order, also distinguished himself as an Ash'ari theologian and a Hanafi jurist. Shah Waliullah's distinctive interpretation, which underscores the significance of the Quran and the Sunnah in Islamic sciences and Sufism, has played an essential role in reforming Islamic thought in the region from theoretical and practical perspectives. His works in the fields of fiqh (jurisprudence), theology, and Sufism have profoundly influenced Muslim thought on the Indian subcontinent. Shah Waliullah, a proponent of the idea that Sufism could serve as a powerful tool in the moral and spiritual development of society, not only emphasised the potential risks posed by distorted Sufism but also cautioned against deviating from the path of the Quran and the Sunnah. His understanding of Sufism is based on rejecting any activity beyond the Quran and Sunnah. He made valuable contributions to the Aqidah (Islamic creed) reform, the promotion of hadith scholarship, and the reconciliation of fiqh (jurisprudence) and Sufism. Shah Waliullah also emphasised the importance of Islamic values and culture. In this article, an attempt has been made to offer a perspective for contemporary Muslims striving to reconcile their beliefs with the demands of modern life by analysing the views of Shah Waliullah on the interpretation of Islamic sciences and Sufism.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze Al-Mukhlis Mosque as an Indian-Muslims heritage at Tebing Tinggi City. Data were based on Religious Court documents and interviews of the mosque’s managers. Reliable history of the mosque could be established only since 1920s. Its historical milestones includes 1) the first waqf in 1920 by Kuti Kaka, 2) change of name to Al-Mukhlis Mosque in 1950, 3) main restoration in 1978, 4) legal waqf status by Religious Court in 1986, and 5) a total renovation in 2014. Al-Mukhlis Mosque current management is appointed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The mosque activities include worship, Islamic education, and general social activities. Finally, its Indian identity remains socially acknowledged because of the presence of the Indian-Muslim community as its organizer and funder. The mosque might become the starting point for the revival of Indian-Muslims’ roles of the city.Keywords: Indian-Muslim, Mosque, East Sumatra, North Sumatra, Islam

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistical measure used to measure and evaluate the progress and quality of human life in a country. For the Government of Indonesia, HDI is important because it is used to create or develop effective policies and programs. In addition, HDI is also used as one of the allocators in determining the General Allocation Fund. The 2022 HDI data released by BPS shows that there has been an increase in the HDI in each district/city over the last 12 years, including in the regions of Eastern Indonesia. High and low HDI values are influenced by several factors, and there are indications that there is spatial diversity where surrounding areas tend to have HDI levels that are not far from the area. The Geographically Weighted Regression method is used in this study because it takes into account spatial aspects. However, the GWR model must be built repeatedly if there is regional expansion. Therefore, a GWR model that applies machine learning methods is needed where the model is built and tested using different datasets, namely training data and test data, so that the model can predict new data better. The results obtained are that the GWR model with test data has a better R-Square value when compared to the GWR model previously trained using training data, which is 0.9946702, based on the linear regression model shows the results that the most influential factor on HDI in Eastern Indonesia is expected years of schooling (X2).

The HDI (Human Development Index) is one of the important components to measure the level of success in efforts to improve the quality of human life. The human development index is built with three dimensions, namely the longevity and health dimension, the knowledge dimension and the decent standard of living dimension. The longevity and health dimension is measured using Life expectancy at birth. The knowledge dimension is measured using expected years of schooling and average years of schooling. Meanwhile, the decent standard of living dimension is measured using Adjusted per capita expenditure. This study aims to find factors that influence HDI (Human Development Index) in Western Indonesia Region using machine learning models. The results obtained are that HDI is influenced by average years of schooling, expected years of schooling, Life expectancy at birth, and Adjusted per capita expenditure which are sorted from the most significantly influential. The model used in this study is GWR (Geographically Weighted Regression) with evaluation results including, AIC of 215.3162, AICc of 226.5107, and the accuracy level in the form of R-square of 99.38% which means this model is good to use.

Abstract We study a simplified model of lepton-flavoured complex scalar dark matter coupling to right-handed leptons and the Higgs boson. The model is set up in the Dark Minimal Flavour Violation framework. In contrast to previous studies of similar models we consider the most general case and do not a priori constrain the hierarchy of dark matter masses and couplings in any way aside from the chosen parameter ranges. In the first part of the analysis we discuss the impact of Higgs portal interactions and the generalised mass hierarchy on the model’s phenomenology. We find that they render new physics masses around the electroweak scale viable, thus qualifying this model to address the (g − 2) μ puzzle. After reviewing the current situation of the latter, we perform two combined analyses — one in which (g − 2) μ allows for significant new physics effects and one in which it does not. We find that while the latter scenario allows for a larger range of new physics scales, both scenarios are equally viable.

This study investigates the pivotal roles of trust, perceived ease of use, and religiosity on individuals' intentions to adopt Islamic peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platforms within the digital economy context. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on an area that has received limited attention in prior studies (Islamic P2P lending) and the inclusion of individual factors, particularly religiosity, in the analysis. Additionally, a five-point Likert scale survey and purposive sampling technique were employed, targeting young Muslim potential borrowers aged 18-24 (Generation Z) who are presently engaged in microbusiness activities and have knowledge of financial technology. However, they had not yet utilized any P2P lending platforms. Data from three hundred twenty-three respondents was analyzed to investigate the relationships between variables. The results of this study suggest that all examined variables, including trust, perceived ease of use, and religiosity, have a significant and positive impact on individuals' willingness to use Islamic P2P lending. This implies that the more trust individuals have in Islamic P2P lending platforms, the easier they perceive them to use, and the stronger their religious beliefs, the more likely they are to accept and utilize these new Islamic financial services.

Introduction: As a result of research conducted globally, experts continue to extensively study the long-term consequences that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections can have on patients, as well as the factors contributing to severe outcomes. The aim of this study was to investigate the values of basic biochemical and hematological parameters in patients with fatal outcomes of SARS-CoV-2 infection, as well as to determine the combination of hematological and biochemical parameters that contribute to the progression of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The examined parameters were correlated with the age and gender distribution of patients with fatal outcomes from the SARS-CoV-2 infection. Methods: The study represents a retrospective study of patients hospitalized at the Cantonal Hospital Zenica from February to April 2021, focusing on the biochemical and hematological parameters of subjects with confirmed presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus using the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction methods who were hospitalized at the Cantonal Hospital Zenica. Results: Of the 250 deceased subjects in the sample, females comprised the relative majority at 53.6%. Among the examined parameters, hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), and MCH were significantly lower in females compared to males, while males had significantly higher values of urea, creatinine, and troponin. The average age of the patients was 74 years, and with aging, the values of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, and troponin increased. Troponin showed a statistically significant positive correlation with age, as well as with urea and creatinine. Conclusion: We can conclude that hemoglobin, urea, creatinine, and troponin are parameters that can be considered to contribute to the progression of SARS-CoV-2 infection. These parameters can be useful for assessing disease severity and prognosis in patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

This research aims to analyze traditional Islamic boarding school leaders' perceptions of technology, models of learning Arabic sciences in traditional Islamic boarding schools, forms of using technology in learning Arabic language sciences in traditional Islamic boarding schools, and foundation support for using technology in learning sciences. -Arabic language knowledge in traditional Islamic boarding schools. The type of research used is qualitative-descriptive. Research data was obtained using observation methods, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The instruments used are observation lists, interview lists, and documentation lists. Data were analyzed using ATLAS—ti9 software. The research results show that (1). traditional Islamic boarding school leaders' perception of technology is very positive, and there is no rejection of the presence of technology; (2). The model of learning Arabic language sciences in traditional Islamic boarding schools is still preserved, such as using the yellow book with the bandongan, sorogan, and wetonan methods (3). Using technology in learning Arabic language sciences in traditional Islamic boarding schools by operating computers, laptops, focus, and cell phones with the help of the internet (4). The foundation supports the use of technology in learning Arabic language sciences in traditional Islamic boarding schools by disbursing sufficient funds to procure learning technology tools or by building collaborations with other parties. This research aims to increase the use of learning technology in traditional Islamic boarding schools to create effective and efficient learning but remain resistant to Islamic boarding school values and traditions.

Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) is the most common type of head and neck cancer worldwide. Emerging research suggests a strong association between OSCC and the oral microbiota, a diverse community of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and archaea. Pathogenic bacteria, in particular Porphyromonas gingivalis and Fusobacterium nucleatum, have been closely linked to OSCC. Moreover, certain oral fungi, such as Candida albicans, and viruses, like the human papillomavirus, have also been implicated in OSCC. Despite these findings, the precise mechanisms through which the oral microbiota influences OSCC development remain unclear and necessitate further research. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the oral microbiota and its relationship with OSCC and discusses potential carcinogenic pathways that the oral microbiota may activate or modulate are also discussed.

The low vocabulary mastery of students in learning Arabic requires solutions and alternatives, one of which is using pocket mufrodat learning media. This study aims to design and describe the feasibility level of mufrodat pocket media in learning Arabic. The research method used is development research, using a Research and Development (R&D) approach. The subjects of the research trial consisted of two material experts and two media experts, as well as 20 class IX students at SMP IT Ummi Ayuni Perbaungan Academic Year 2022/2023. Data analysis techniques for the feasibility of the media using quantitative descriptive analysis. The processing results of this study indicate that the mufrodat pocket media in learning Arabic is considered appropriate by material experts with an average overall score of 78%, and the assessment by media experts as a whole gets an average score of 83% with a very decent category. Furthermore, student assessments in field trials as a whole got an average score of 80% in the very high category. From these results, the developed mufrodat pocket media can be used by teachers and students, especially class IX, SMP IT Ummi Ayuni Perbaungan. It is also recommended for Arabic teachers to utilize mufrodat pocket media as media in learning Arabic at school.

Günümüzde zeminlerin iyileştirilmesi için birçok farklı metot kullanılmaktadır. Bu metotların birçoğu çevreye zararlı bileşenler içerdiğinden alternatif zemin iyileştirme yöntemlerine ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu kapsamda zemin iyileştirme yöntemlerine çevreci bir yaklaşım olarak ortaya çıkan Mikrobiyal Aracılı Kalsit Çökelmesi (MICP) tekniği ile zeminlerin mühendislik özellikleri iyileştirilebilmektedir. Ancak MICP tekniği ile zeminlerin iyileştirilmesinde karşılaşılan problemlerden biri uygulama süresidir. Uygulama süresi genelde oldukça fazla olan MICP tekniği için farklı uygulamalara ihtiyaç duyulduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu amaçla çalışmamızda çimentolama solüsyonuna (kalsiyum klorür) ilave edildiğinde uygulama süresini azaltabilecek bir biyopolimer türü olan sodyum aljinatın enjeksiyon özellikleri incelenmiştir. Farklı yoğunluklarda hazırlanan sodyum aljinat solüsyonu zemine enjeksiyon yöntemiyle verilerek zemin içerisindeki dağılımı uygulama süresince takip edilmiş ve sonuçlar permeabilite deneyi ve Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu (SEM) analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak çimentolama solüsyonuna ilaveten sodyum aljinat kullanımının tüm yoğunluklarda (0.1 g/l, 0.3 g/l, 0.6 g/l) permeabilite üzerinde olumlu sonuçları olmuştur. Daha düşük yoğunluklarda ise (0.1 g/l) uygulama süresi biraz daha artmış ancak daha iyi geçirimlilik sonuçlarıyla beraber daha homojen bir dağılım elde edilebilmiştir. SEM analizleri sonucunda oluşan jel yapının taneler arasında bağ oluşturduğu gözlemlenmiştir. MICP tekniği ile zeminlerin iyileştirmesinde düşük yoğunluklarda (en fazla 0.1 g/l) sodyum aljinat kullanımının uygulama süresine olumlu etkisinin olabileceği değerlendirilmiştir.

Infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV) causes economic losses with a highly variable mortality rate worldwide, especially in rainbow trout. The virus has a double-stranded bi-partite RNA genome designated segment A and B. New complete genome sequences of nine rainbow trout isolates from Turkey were determined and subjected to phylogenetic analysis, identifying all as genotype 5 (serotype Sp). A time-dependent change in the extended pathogenicity motif of VP2 from P217T221A247 (PTA) to PTE P217T221E247 over a period of 10 years was identified. A wider analysis of 99 IPNV sequences from Turkey and Iran revealed the emergence of the motif PTE from 2007 to 2017, inducing significant morbidity in fry by 2013. In fact, displacement of the PTA motif, by the PTE motif in IPNV isolates appeared to be connected to a production peak of rainbow trout in 2013. An additional CAI analysis provided more evidence, indicating that rainbow trout culture in Turkey has an influence on the evolution of IPNV.

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) colitis is a critical condition associated with severe complications in ulcerative colitis (UC). This study aimed to investigate the diagnostic value of the presence of CMV DNA in intestinal mucosa tissue and blood samples in patients with active UC. This study included 81 patients with exacerbated symptoms of UC. Patient data were obtained from the Hospital Information Management System. CMV DNA in colorectal tissue and plasma samples were analyzed using a real-time quantitative PCR assay. CMV markers were detected using immunohistochemistry and hematoxylin–eosin staining. Immunohistochemistry positivity was observed in tissue samples from eight (9.9%) patients. Only one (1.2%) patient showed CMV-specific intranuclear inclusion bodies. CMV DNA was detected in 63.0% of the tissues (median: 113 copies/mg) and in 58.5% of the plasma samples (median: 102 copies/mL). For tissues, sensitivity and the negative predictive value (NPV) for qPCR were excellent (100.0%), whereas specificity and the positive predictive value (PPV) were low (41.9% and 15.7%, respectively). For plasma, sensitivity and NPV were high (100.0%) for qPCR, whereas specificity and PPV were low (48.6% and 24.0%, respectively). CMV DNA ≥392 copies/mg in tissue samples (sensitivity 100.0% and specificity 83.6%) and ≥578 copies/mL (895 IU/mL) in plasma samples (sensitivity 66.7% and specificity 100.0%) provided an optimal diagnosis for this test. The qPCR method improved patient management through the early detection of CMV colitis in patients with UC. However, reliance on qPCR positivity alone can lead to overdiagnosis. Quantification of CMV DNA can improve diagnostic specificity, although standardization is warranted.

In the half-filled one-orbital Hubbard model on a square lattice, we study the effect of next-nearest neighbor hopping on the single-particle spectral function at finite temperature using an exact-diagonalization + Monte-Carlo based approach to the simulation process. We find that the pseudogap-like dip, existing in the density of states in between the Néel temperature $T_N$ and a relatively higher temperature scale $T^*$, is accompanied with a significant asymmetry in the hole- and particle-excitation energy along the high-symmetry directions as well as along the normal-state Fermi surface. On moving from ($\pi/2, \pi/2$) toward $(\pi, 0)$ along the normal state Fermi surface, the hole-excitation energy increases, a behavior remarkably similar to what is observed in the $d$-wave state and pseudogap phase of high-$T_c$ cuprates, whereas the particle-excitation energy decreases. The quasiparticle peak height is the largest near ($\pi/2, \pi/2$) whereas it is the smallest near $(\pi, 0)$. These spectral features survive beyond $T_N$. The temperature window $T_N \lesssim T \lesssim T^*$ shrinks with an increase in the next-nearest neighbor hopping, which indicates that the next-nearest neighbor hopping may not be supportive to the pseudogap-like features.

One solution to reduce leaf litter is to process it into liquid smoke. This study aimed to determine the characteristics of liquid smoke from various types of dry leaves. The type of leaves used in this study were teak, fern, Spanish cherry, and crepe myrtle-dried leaves. Treatment of pyrolysis gave three types of products. The smoke liquid yields of dried teak leaves were 12,44%, dried Spanish cherry leaves were 12.92%, dried fern leaves were 13,39%, and dried crape myrtle leaves were 35.22%. The charcoal yields from teak, fern, Spanish cherry, and crape myrtle-dried leaves were 40.585%, 35.871%, 40.723%, and 18.797%. While the rest was tar with yields of 0.820% from dried teak leaves, 0.869% from dried fern leaves, 0.790% from dried Spanish cherry leaves, and 1.774% from dried crape myrtle leaves. The residual dry leaf debris of dried teak was 53.938%, dried fern leaves 51.385%, dried Spanish cherry leaves 54.326%, and dried crape myrtle leaves 54.210%. The pH of smoke liquor from dried teak was 5.11, dried fern leaves 5.75, dried Spanish cherry leaves 5.43, and dried crape myrtle leaves 7.80. The dominant active compounds in the liquid smoke produced were phenolic components. Each liquid smoke contained carbonyl and acid compounds, while liquid smoke from teak-dried leaves also contained alkaloids and alcohol.

Abstract We study a simplified model of lepton-flavoured complex scalar dark matter set up in the Dark Minimal Flavour Violation framework. In this model the Standard Model is extended by a scalar dark matter flavour triplet and a charged fermionic mediator, through which dark matter couples to the right-handed charged leptons of the Standard Model. This interaction is parameterized by a new 3 × 3 coupling matrix λ. Consistent with the field content of the model, also the Standard Model’s approximate flavour symmetry is extended to include an additional global U(3) associated with the dark matter flavour triplet. In addition to the Standard Model Yukawa couplings, the new coupling matrix λ is assumed to constitute the only source that violates this extended symmetry. We analyse the parameter space of this model by investigating constraints from collider searches, lepton flavour violating decays, the observed dark matter relic density, and direct as well as indirect dark matter detection experiments. By performing a combined analysis of all constraints we find that restrictions from lepton flavour violating decays, the observed relic density and dark matter nucleon scattering are dominant. The combination of the latter two renders limits from collider searches irrelevant while indirect detection constraints are weak due to a p-wave suppression of the annihilation rate. We conclude that lepton-flavoured scalar dark matter has a rich phenomenology and is a viable dark matter candidate.

ABSTRACTDue to an alarming threat of air pollution and climate change, governments around the world are now actively promoting electric vehicles. The case for vehicle electrification is even more important in big cities of developing countries, where motorcycle is a dominant mode of travel. To promote electric motorcycles successfully, we need to understand the factors that would drive the consumer choices when buying a motorcycle. This study chose Bandung in Indonesia as the case study location, where nearly 75% of vehicles are motorcycles. This study conducted a survey of preferences from over 700 residents and included battery charging methods such as plug-in/battery swap at home/office, superfast charging at stations, and deployed an innovative modelling approach constraining the mixture of distributions for monetary attributes. The study found that quick recharge in 10 minutes and battery swap at station are preferred over the base method of plug-in at home/work. The battery swap at home has been perceived the same as plug-in home/work and the respondents are indifferent to this option.

There are various factors that are considered to influence the perspectives and motivations of users and drivers so that they have an impact on the demand and supply of motorcycle-based ride-hailing operations. This study investigates the factors that cause changes in user motivation to use motorcycle-based ride-hailing and the factors that cause changes in driver consistency as a motorcycle-based ride-hailing driver in Bandung, Indonesia. We use a survey questionnaire to explore the perspectives of both users and drivers. Based on survey data and the structural equation modeling method used to test the validity of the factor with the strongest influence from the two perspectives, The study results from the user’s perspective indicate that the impact of the tariff adjustments has an effect on users, especially those for incidental use, and is more dominated by faster achievement times, while for drivers, it is indicated that the revenue variable from motorcycle-based ride-hailing has a smaller effect because this is strongly influenced by the number of orders tending to decrease, so that it is considered no longer a prospective source of income for most of the drivers. Finally, several proposed efforts and policies for the government, applicators, and other relevant stakeholders, both related to legal aspects, setting tariffs and limiting quotas for drivers who operate, etc., in managing the operational sustainability of MBRH and the public transportation system, especially in urban areas.

Volcanic eruption is one of the phenomena that can change the volcanic landscape drastically. Monitoring of volcanic edifices after eruptions should be considered to further understand the potential hazards in the future. Satellite monitoring is a reliable technique for assessing deformation in a volcano. InSAR was applied to detect material build-up after the eruption phase of Semeru Volcano in December 2022. As a consequence of the opening crater along with the InSAR result, a lahar product after the eruption was deposited in the southwest direction. Significant deformations were indicated by PS-InSAR near the crater, which was characterized by a LOS displacement of -10 to -40 mm/year, indicating scouring of the pyroclastic material moving down the slope. The accumulation of pyroclastic flows from the abrading process below was detected in the proximal zone of Semeru, as shown by the positive LOS displacement ranging from 10 to 40 mm/year. The field survey conforms to the PS InSAR results, where unconsolidated material, ranging in size from gravel to boulders, piles up approximately 4-5 m in Curah Kobokan. Highly unconsolidated material tends to move easily by water and threaten the surrounding settlements. Overlying PS InSAR and drainage pattern in the flank of Semeru, concluding several locations that have a high-risk potential of being affected by lahar flows are Curah Kobokan, Supiturang Village, Pronojiwo District, then Tulungrejo, Pasropan Village, Pasrujambe District, Lumajang Regency.

Abstract Study design Retrospective single center cohort study. Purpose Spinal instrumentation in combination with antibiotic therapy is a treatment option for acute or chronic pyogenic spondylodiscitis (PSD). This study compares the early fusion outcome for multi-level and single-level PSD after urgent surgical treatment with interbody fusion in combination with fixation. Methods This is a retrospective cohort study. Over a 10 year period at a single institution, all surgically treated patients received surgical debridement, fusion und fixation of the spine to treat PSD. Multi-level cases were either adjacent to each other on the spine or distant. Fusion rates were assessed at 3 and 12 months after surgery. We analyzed demographic data, ASA status, duration of surgery, location and length of spine affected, Charlson comorbidity index (CCI), and early complications. Results A total of 172 patients were included. Of these, 114 patients suffered from single-level and 58 from multi-level PSD. The most frequent location was the lumbar spine (54.0%) followed by the thoracic spine (18.0%). The PSD was adjacent in 19.0% and distant in 81.0% of multi-level cases. Fusion rates at the 3 month follow-up did not differ among the multi-level group (p = 0.27 for both adjacent and distant sites). In the single-level group, sufficient fusion was achieved in 70.2% of cases. Pathogen identification was possible 58.5% of the time. Conclusions Surgical treatment of multi-level PSD is a safe option. Our study demonstrates that there was no significant difference in early fusion outcomes between single-level and multi-level PSD, whether adjacent or distant.

Abstract Background The canine parvovirus, with its many variants, is responsible for a pivotal and common viral infection affecting millions of dogs and other carnivore species worldwide, particularly the wild ones, which are considered as the main reservoir hosts. To that end, this study investigated the presence of canine parvovirus (CPV) in red foxes (Vulpes vulpes) living in wild habitats of several regions of Turkey. Methods We randomly collected 630 archival fox stool specimens from rural areas of 22 provinces and used real-time PCR to detect CPV. Results Two of the 630 (0.3%) stool samples were positive for CPV-DNA, named Tr-Fox/128(Aydın) and Tr-Fox/159(Manisa). We attempted to isolate the virus in a MDCK cell line, and cytopathic effects were observed four days post-inoculation. Three regions corresponding to the CPV capsid protein VP2 gene from extracted DNA of positive samples were amplified by conventional PCR, and the products were visualised, purified, and Sanger sequenced. Three overlapping DNA raw sequence fragments, were read, assembled, and aligned to obtain approximately 1.5 kb-long regions that cover most of the VP2 gene, then deposited in GenBank. After comparing the isolates with parvovirus sequences data of domestic and wild carnivores by BLAST processing, our isolates' similarity rate with each other was 99.40%, with base differences in 9 nucleotide positions. They were classified as 2b variant closely related to isolates from dogs in Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, Italy, Thailand, and China. Conclusion This study presents evidence of interspecies transmission of CPV, of which there are no reports on prevalence in wildlife carnivores of our country. Identification of CPV in red foxes threatens local and hunting dogs, which may contract the infection or disseminate it to other wild animal species or vice-versa.

Valf gruplarındaki akışa ek olarak, genellikle hafif ticari araçlar için silindire açılan konfor kanalları yardımı ile amortisörün sertleşmesi veya yumuşaması şeklinde karakteristikleri değiştirilebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada konfor kanalına sahip olmayan ve olan aynı valf gruplarına sahip çift borulu teleskobik amortisörler test edilerek konfor kanallarının amortisör performansı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Konfor kanallarının özellikle düşük hızlarda sönümleme kuvvetini düşürdüğü ve konforlu sürüş sağladığı tespit edilmiştir.

Background & objectives: West Nile virus (WNV) is transmitted by a mosquito-borne virus whose natural reservoir is birds. Humans and horses are considered accidental hosts. Even if the vast majority of WNV infections in humans have asymptomatic or mild disease settings, serious neurological disorders with lethal outcomes can also be observed in around 1% of the cases. We aimed to serologically investigate the presence of WNV in humans living in Black sea of Turkey, and to obtain epidemiological data that will contribute to the implementation of public health policies to control and prevent potentially other life-threatening arboviral infections. Methods: In the current study, a total of 416 human sera were collected from native patients of Samsun and its boroughs attending Samsun Training and Research Hospital; these sera were tested for WNV with pooling method, using anti-IgM and IgG ELISA commercial kits. All pools that were found positive for both IgM and IgG were individually retested for the detection of positive WNV sera. After that, all positive samples were tested using real-time PCR to detect the presence of WNV-RNA particles. Results: Total seropositivity rates of WNV in terms of IgM and IgG were found as 0.96% and 0.72%, respectively. No presence of WNV-RNA could be detected in positive samples. Interpretation & conclusion: According to the data, further studies should be conducted to better understand the epidemiological dynamics of WNV in Turkey. It is recommended that other antigenically related flaviviruses which can give cross-reaction with WNV should also be investigated.

Salah satu strategi yang dapat mempengaruhi loyalitas pasien rumah sakit adalah penggunaan Electronic Customer Relationship Management (e-CRM). E-CRM adalah Customer Relationship Management (CRM) yang dibuat secara elektronik menggunakan web browser, internet dan media elektronik lain seperti call center, email, dan personalisasi yang menjadi salah satu cara untuk melakukan pendekatan dengan pasien dengan salah satu tujuannya yaitu meningkatnya loyalitas pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan e-CRM terhadap loyalitas pasien di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yaitu berupa studi literatur menggunakan sumber data artikel penelitian, prosiding, systematic review yang terbit tahun 2017-2022 dari mesin pencari Google Scholar dan Pubmed. Metodologi dalam penelitian ini diadaptasi dari kerangka tinjauan pustaka oleh vom Brocke yang diawali dengan mendefinisikan ruang lingkup tinjauan dan diikuti dengan konseptualisasi topik kemudian diikuti dengan pencarian literatur, analisis literatur, dan agenda penelitian yang berisi pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang lebih mendalam untuk penelitian masa depan. Dari 1.691 jurnal nasional dan jurnal internasional yang diidentifikasi, terdapat 53 jurnal yang relevan dengan aplikasi e-CRM, kemudian didapatkan delapan jurnal yang masuk dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan studi literatur yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa E-CRM sebagai strategi untuk menjaga hubungan rumah sakit dan pasien dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti faktor organisasi, sarana, serta lingkungan. Aplikasi strategi e-CRM juga mempengaruhi kelangsungan aktivitas rumah sakit melalui peningkatan loyalitas dan retensi pasien. Selain itu faktor keberhasilan penerapan E-CRM sebagai alat untuk menjaga dan meningkatkan loyalitas pasien adalah faktor manusia, diharapkan petugas medis memiliki sikap melayani yang baik, sopan, adil dan humanis. Abstract The digital era 5.0 has had a major impact on the healthcare sector. Increased competition between hospitals is one of the reasons for the need for marketing strategy innovation to maintain the loyalty of hospital patients as consumers. One strategy that can affect the loyalty of hospital patients is the use of Electronic Customer Relationship Management (e-CRM). E-CRM is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) that is made electronically using a web browser, internet and other electronic media such as call centers, email, and personalization which is one way to approach patients with one of the goals, namely increasing patient loyalty. This study aims to examine the relationship of e-CRM to patient loyalty in hospitals. This research is a qualitative research in the form of a literature study using data sources of research articles, proceedings, systematic reviews published in 2017-2022 from search engines Google Scholar and Pubmed. The methodology in this study was adapted from the framework of the literature review by vom Brocke which begins with defining the scope of the review and is followed by topic conceptualization then followed by a literature search, literature analysis, and a research agenda containing more in-depth questions for future research. Of the 1,691 national and international journals identified, there were 53 journals that were relevant to e-CRM applications, and eight journals were included in this study. Based on the literature study conducted, it was found that E-CRM as a strategy to maintain hospital-patient relationships was influenced by several factors such as organizational factors, facilities, and the environment. The application of e-CRM strategy also affects the continuity of hospital activities by increasing patient loyalty and retention. In addition, the success factor in implementing E-CRM as a tool to maintain and improve patients is the human factor, it is expected that medical officers have a good, polite, fair and humanistic service attitude.

Purpose It was aimed to reveal the relationship between CRP level after knee arthroplasty and gender difference and arthroplasty type. Methods Preoperative and postoperative (1st and 7th day, 1st and 3rd months) CRP values of the patients who underwent TKA or UKA were examined. The data were compared by categorizing them into primary male-female, secondary TKA-UKA groups. Results 967 patients were included in the study (151 male, 685 female in the TKA group and 25 male, 106 female in the UKA group) In the TKA group, the mean age was 67.38 in males and 65.54 in females. In the UKA group, the mean age was 58.72 in males and 57,63 in females. CRP values were found to be statistically significantly lower in females compared to males in the preoperative period, postoperative 1st and 3rd months in patients who underwent TKA ( p < .05). In the UKA group, it was found to be significantly lower in females in the preoperative period and at the postoperative 3rd month, p < .05). When the CRP values and their effect on the course of arthroplasty were evaluated according to the type of arthroplasty, there was no significant difference between the CRP values of the preoperative patients ( p = .686). In addition, in the comparison made on the postoperative 1st day, 1st week, 1st month, and 3rd month, CRP values of the patient who underwent UKA were found to be significantly lower ( p < .05). When analyzed separately by arthroplasty type, postoperative CRP values decreased to normal limits in 96.3% of patients who underwent TKA and 98.5% of patients who underwent UKA in the third month. Conclusions Our study showed that the uncomplicated course of CRP after TKA and UKA is gender-specific, and higher CRP values are observed in males than in females. The UKA group exhibited significantly lower postoperative CRP levels than the TKA group.

This paper aims to shed light on Malaysian economic development briefly in light of demographics and politics while focusing on economic legislation that had the largest effect on the outlook of the nation known to the world today. Later on, Islamic economics was introduced to the scene and developed wider and faster than most Islamic economies in the world. This paper also explains this rapid development in the context of the nation’s political-economic development.The paper is qualitative and analytical; it addresses developments up to 2017. Although few discussions extend beyond the focused period, they were not significant enough to change the entire perspective. The paper incorporates fieldwork, observations, and interviews that took place in 2017. The paper concludes that certain socio-economic policies need to be updated to suit today's generations and allow for the continuation of development at high rates. Furthermore, the expansion of Islamic economics is beneficial; however, the industry demands detail and procession more than ever, especially in sharia compliance for it to continue developing steadily.

Aim: Today, the COVID-19 pandemic, which causes deaths in 224 countries around the world, continues to show its effect all over the world. However, unfortunately, there are few studies that determine the effect of natural products derived from plants on COVID-19. However, as it is known, the source of most drugs is plants and medicinal aromatic plants have been used frequently for therapeutic purposes since the existence of humanity. The aim of this study is to investigate the cytotoxic effects of six medicinal plants such as Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Saffron (Crocus sativus L.), Black Cumin (Nigella sativa L.), Laurel (Lauris nobilis), Buckwheat (Lavandula stoechas) and Zahter (Thymbra spicata L. var. spicata) and their antiviral activities against SARS-CoV-2 in vitro conditions. Material and Method: This study was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, plants were collected and extracts were obtained. At the beginning of the second stage, cytotoxic effects on vero cells at non-cytotoxic broad-spectrum concentrations against SARS-CoV-2 in cell culture of six medicinal plants were investigated. In this step, the concentration of six ethnobotanically important medicinal plants that were not cytotoxic to SARS-CoV-2 was determined. In the continuation of the second stage, the plants were evaluated for the determination of viral replication inhibition and their antiviral effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2. In this step, in vitro antiviral effects of plants against SARS-CoV-2 were determined at a concentration that did not show cytotoxic effects.. Results: The concentration of six plants used in the study without cytotoxic effects was determined.. Among the plants examined, it was determined that the only plant that was effective against SARS-CoV-2 in vitro conditions was the licorice plant (Glycyrrhiza glabra). The licorice plant was found to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 in vitro at the 2nd dilution (1:4) after the initial concentration. Conclusion: According to the findings obtained from our study, it was determined that the licorice plant was effective against the SARS-CoV-2 in vitro conditions. Supported by further studies, it can be thought that our findings may contribute to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This study analyzes the main characteristics of hybrid warfare and how it is applied in practice through Russia’s intervention in Ukraine. Although researchers have not reached a consensus on the definition of hybrid warfare, it is a kind of war in which both state and non-state actors engage using increasing obscurity and invisibility and various types of war such as conventional capabilities, irregular tactics, acts of terrorism, violence, and oppression. Hybrid warfare with traditional and modern war concepts provides states the opportunity to reach targets that they cannot reach by using many other different means. In this context, in the first part of the study, the definition and characteristics of hybrid wars were mentioned, then the components of hybrid warfare were revealed and in the last part, it is analyzed how Russia applied the hybrid war theory in the Ukraine War.

Aim To investigate analgesic and side effects of different doses of fentanyl in combination with propofol for colonoscopy. Methods This prospective randomized double-blind study conducted between 2019 and 2020 included 64 patients. Patients were randomized: Group 1 (fentanyl 0.5 μg/kg) and Group 2 (fentanyl 1.0 μg/kg) both in combination with propofol. Ramsay sedation score (RSS) was obtained at 5 with an additional dose of propofol. The primary outcome was the patient’s postprocedural pain and adverse events during and after the procedure. Results The RSS means were statistically lower for Group 2 at the beginning and every 5 minutes of the procedure. Mean arterial pressure (MAP) for Group 2 (first, 5, 25 and 30 min) was significantly lower (p=0.000, and heart rate (HR) was significantly higher for Group 1 (during the entire procedure) (p=0.000) than in another group; peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2) was significantly lower for measurements within both groups (Group 1, 5, 10, 15 min; Group 2, 5, 10,15 min) (p=0.000 and p=0.000, respectively). Anxiety (p=0.010), weakness (p=0.000) and confusion (p=0.023) proved to be significantly higher for Group 1, and hypotension (p=0.001) for Group 2 than in another group. No statistical significance of Visual Analogue Pain Scale (VAS) (p=0.501) and Aldrete recovery score (ARS) (p=0.845) was found. Conclusion There was no significance in postprocedural abdominal pain between the group of patients administered fentanyl at a dose of 0.5 μg/kg and the group of patients administered fentanyl at a dose of 1.0 μg/kg; however, prevalence of complications was more significant in the group with a fentanyl at a dose of 0.5 μg/kg.

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning Arabic vocabulary on reading skills in class VII students of MTs Madinatussalam Deli Serdang. The research method used is the quantitative method with a survey method approach by distributing questionnaires to 25 students. Then in the interferential analysis, a correlation coefficient test will be carried out using the product moment formula, the coefficient of determination, and the significance test of the correlation coefficient on learning Arabic vocabulary as variable X and reading skills as variable Y. The results of this study can be seen that there is an effect of learning Arabic vocabulary on reading skills in Class VII Students of MTs Madinatussalam. Where the lowest score of (Variable X) learning vocabulary is the lowest 60 and the highest score is 90, with a mean= of 77.8 median= 80 standard savings=8.43 and mode=77 and 85. Meanwhile, (variable Y) reading skill shows the value the lowest is 60 and the highest is 90, mean = 76.5, mode 80, median 79.5, standard deviation 7.67. So Efforts to improve learning Arabic vocabulary a teacher must master several learning methods, as well as the ability to converse in Arabic and emphasize students memorizing vocabulary, increase Arabic vocabulary, provide motivation in Arabic both in learning and outside the classroom, and adequate facilities such as language labs.

A multi-scenario, multi-model ensemble of simulations from regional climate models is outlined to provide the core data source for a set of climate projections and a climate change service. A subset of realisations from CMIP6 Global Climate Models (GCMs) are selected for downscaling by Regional Climate Models (RCMs) under a ‘sparse matrix’ framework using the CORDEX guidelines for Shared Socio-economic Pathways that feature low emissions (SSP1-2.6) and high emissions (SSP3-7.0). The subset excludes poor performing models, with performance assessed by the climatology over a large Indo-Pacific domain and an Australian-specific domain, the simulation of atmospheric circulation and teleconnections to major drivers, then incorporating other evaluation from the literature. The models are selected to be relatively independent by simply choosing one model from each ‘family’ where possible. The projected change in temperature and rainfall in climatic regions of Australia in the selected models are broadly representative of that from the whole CMIP6 ensemble, after deliberately treating models with very high climate sensitivity separately. A limited but carefully constructed ensemble will not represent statistically balanced estimates but can be used effectively under a ‘storylines’ style approach and can maximise representativeness within limits. The resulting ensemble can be used as a key data source for the future climate component of climate services in Australia. The ensemble will be used in conjunction with CMIP6 and large ensembles of GCM simulations as important context, and targeted ‘convective permitting resolution’ modelling, deep learning models and emulators for added insights to inform climate change planning in Australia.

This study aims to describe the use of media pictures in learning Arabic vocabulary in elementary schools. This research is a qualitative type of field research at MIS Al-Hidayah Medan. The researcher obtained data on learning Arabic vocabulary using media pictures from data sources of Arabic class VI teachers at MIS Al-Hidayah Medan and documents supporting learning Arabic at the madrasah. Observation, interviews, and documentation carry out data collection techniques. At the same time, data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results show that using media pictures to learn Arabic vocabulary at MIS Al-Hidayah is done by displaying images matching the Arabic vocabulary. The benefit of using media pictures during the learning process is that students can remember vocabulary and say it without referring to the book. The drawbacks of using media pictures are that the images used are not in the language, so students who sit behind will need help seeing the pictures displayed by the teacher.

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) metabolites are increasingly recognized as prognostic factors in aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). The CSF arginine/ornithine ratio (Arg/Orn) was shown to predict cerebral vasospasms and clinical outcome in SAH. The additive prognostic value of Arg/Orn over established prognostic scores has not been investigated. CSF Arg/Orn and the established prognostic scores SAH, FRESH, SAH-PDS, HAIR, Rosen–McDonald, Hunt and Hess, WFNS and modified Fisher scale were determined in a prospective cohort of patients with aneurysmal SAH. Logistic regression models to predict a favorable outcome, defined as a modified Rankin Scale score of 0–3 at 3 months follow-up, were constructed for each score, both with and without the addition of Arg/Orn. The impact of Arg/Orn was assessed comparing logistic regression models containing the respective score with and without Arg/Orn with the likelihood ratio chi-squared test. Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the presence of residual instability in the knee after ACL reconstruction through the analysis of MRI findings. Methods: This study included patients who underwent isolated ACL reconstruction between December 2019 and December 2021, and had preoperative and postoperative MRI, clinical scores, and postoperative isokinetic measurements. The anterior tibial translation (ATT) distance, coronal lateral collateral ligament (LCL) sign, and femorotibial rotation (FTR) angle were compared preoperatively and postoperatively. The correlation between the changes in preoperative–postoperative measurements and postoperative measurements with clinical scores and isokinetic measurements was examined. The clinical outcomes were compared based on the presence of a postoperative coronal LCL sign. Inclusion criteria were set as follows: the time between the ACL rupture and surgery being 6 months, availability of preoperative and postoperative clinical scores, and objective determination of muscle strength using isokinetic dynamometer device measurements. Patients with a history of previous knee surgery, additional ligament injuries other than the ACL, evidence of osteoarthritis on direct radiographs, cartilage injuries lower limb deformities, and contralateral knee injuries were excluded from this study. Results: This study included 32 patients. After ACL reconstruction, there were no significant changes in the ATT distance (preoperatively: 6.5 ± 3.9 mm, postoperatively: 5.7 ± 3.2 mm) and FTR angle (preoperatively: 5.4° ± 2.9, postoperatively: 5.2° ± 3.5) compared to the preoperative measurements (p > 0.05). The clinical measurements were compared based on the presence of a postoperative coronal LCL sign (observed in 17 patients, not observed in 15 patients), and no significant differences were found for all parameters (p > 0.05). There were no observed correlations between postoperative FTR angle, postoperative ATT distance, FTR angle change, and ATT distance change values with postoperative clinical scores (p > 0.05). Significant correlations were observed between the high strength ratios generated at an angular velocity of 60° and a parameters FTR angle and ATT distance (p-values: 0.028, 0.019, and r-values: −0.389, −0.413, respectively). Conclusions: Despite undergoing ACL reconstruction, no significant changes were observed in the indirect MRI findings (ATT distance, coronal LCL sign, and FTR angle). These results suggest that postoperative residual tibiofemoral rotation and tibial anterior translation may persist; however, they do not seem to have a direct impact on clinical scores. Furthermore, the increase in tibial translation and rotation could potentially negatively affect the flexion torque compared to the extension torque in movements requiring high torque at low angular velocities.

Introduction: Angiogram-negative subarachnoid hemorrhage (AN-SAH) accounts for 5–15% of spontaneous SAH. This study aims to analyze the frequency and characteristics of spinal bleeding sources in patients with AN-SAH. Methods: 140 patients suffering from AN-SAH treated at our institution from 2012 to 2022 were included in this retrospective cohort study. Results: 52.1% were diagnosed with perimesencephalic SAH, 35.0% with non-perimesencephalic, SAH and 12.9% with CT-negative SAH (diagnosed by lumbar puncture). Additional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) identified a spinal bleeding source in 4 patients (2.86%). These patients presented with local spine pain or neurological deficits (relative risk: 3.9706 [95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.7272–21.6792]; p < 0.001) and were younger (mean difference 14.85 years [95% CI: 0.85–28.85; p = 0.038]) compared to patients without a spinal bleeding source. Conclusions: AN-SAH caused by spinal pathology is rare. This study indicates that craniocervical and holospinal MRI should be considered in AN-SAH, especially for young patients with AN-SAH who present with back pain or neurological deficits.

As a joint explanation for the dark matter (DM) problem and the muon $(g-2)$ anomaly, we propose a simplified model of lepton-flavoured complex scalar DM with couplings to both the left- and right-handed leptons of the Standard Model (SM). Both interactions are governed by the same new flavour-violating coupling matrix $\lambda$, however we allow for a relative scaling of the coupling strength. The SM is further extended by two fermion representations, transforming as an $SU(2)_L$ doublet and singlet, respectively, and mediating these interactions. The fermions additionally couple to the SM Higgs doublet via a new Yukawa coupling. To study the model's phenomenology we first investigate constraints from collider searches, flavour experiments, precision tests of the SM, the DM relic density, and direct as well as indirect detection experiments individually. We then perform a combined analysis by demanding that all mentioned constraints are satisfied simultaneously. We use the results of this combined analysis and examine if the model is capable of accommodating the $(g-2)_\mu$ anomaly within its viable parameter space without introducing fine-tuned lepton masses. For all benchmark scenarios we consider, we find that the central value of $\Delta a_\mu^\text{exp}$ can be reached without generating too large corrections to the lepton masses. We hence conclude that this model qualifies as a viable and attractive lepton-flavoured DM model that at the same time solves the $(g-2)_\mu$ anomaly.

It is aimed in this study study to determine the incidence of meniscus root tear in the knee and its effects on additional injuries related to the degree of meniscal extrusion, degree of chondrosis, malalingment and subchondral insufficiency fractures of the knee (SIFK). A total of 277 patients with a meniscal root tear detected on knee magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) taken between January 2011 and December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The severity of meniscal extrusion, osteophyte size and alignment were measured on MRI. Subchondral insufficiency fracture medial compartment osteoarthritis, lateral compartment osteoarthritis, additional ligament and meniscal injuries were recorded. The mean medial meniscal extrusion was 4.91 ± 2.2 mm and the mean lateral meniscal extrusion was 3.07 ± 1.56. While the mechanical alignment was 4.05 ± 2.24 degree varus in the patients with medial meniscus root tear, 1.88 ± 3.55 degree valgus in those with lateral meniscus injury. The mean size of tibial osteophyte was 2.51 ± 1.06 mm. In arthrosis grading conducted by using the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) MRI-based grading system, the meniscal extrusion was measured to be 3.09 ± 1.1 mm in grade I, 5.04 ± 2.25 mm in grade II, 5.8 ± 2.01 in grade III and 6.05 ± 1.2 mm in grade 4. A statistically significant relationship was found between meniscal extrusion and age and mechanical alignment (p < 0.001). It was determined that, the patients having high-grade meniscal extrusion suffered from high-grade chondrosis, varus and SIF lesions. It was concluded that meniscus posterior root tear (MPRT) induces meniscal extrusion (MME) leading to subchondral insufficiency fracture of the knee, varus, and gonarthrosis. Purpose:In our study, it was aimed to determine whether the disinfectant efficacy of 2% glutaraldehyde solution changes with the aging of the solution. Methods: In our study, metal obtained from k-wire, plastic obtained from serum sets, and glass balls were used to imitate metal, plastic, and glass materials found in surgical instruments. 20 of each material were contaminated with Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae), Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus),Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa), Escherichia coli (E. coli), and Yeast on the 1st, 14th, and 28th days of the solution. 10 of them were thrown into 2% glutaraldehyde solution in different glasses and kept in the solution for 15 minutes. Subsequently, materials were taken from the glasses using separate sterile forceps for each piece. The other 10 were washed with physiological saline solution for 1 minute. After the procedures, they were sent to the microbiology laboratory without waiting and inoculated on routine media, and Gram staining was performed simultaneously. The identification of strains was carried out by conventional methods. Results: No growth was detected on the 1st, 14th, and 28th days in all metal, plastic, and glass materials disinfected with 2% alkaline glutaraldehyde solution. In the control groups, growth rates were 53.3%, 50%, and 63.3%, respectively. Conclusions: If the guidelines and manufacturer's recommendations are followed in the preparation and use of 2% alkaline glutaraldehyde solution, it provides an effective disinfection without being affected by the aging of the solution.

Abstract We study a simplified model of flavoured Majorana dark matter in the Dark Minimal Flavour Violation framework. The model extends the Standard Model by a dark matter flavour triplet and a scalar mediator, through which the new dark fermions couple to right-handed up-type quarks. This interaction is governed by a new coupling matrix λ which is assumed to constitute the only new source of flavour and CP violation. We analyse the parameter space of this model by using constraints from collider searches, D 0 − D ¯ $$ \overline{D} $$ 0 mixing, cosmology and direct dark matter searches. Throughout our study, we point out crucial differences between the Majorana and Dirac dark matter cases. After performing a combined analysis within the context of all the experimental constraints mentioned above, we analyse which flavour for the dark matter particle is preferred by experimental data. We further investigate if this model is capable of explaining the large measured value of the direct CP asymmetry ∆ A CP dir $$ \Delta {A}_{\mathrm{CP}}^{\mathrm{dir}} $$ in charm decays. We find that significant enhancements with respect to the Standard Model expectation are compatible with all constraints, and even the central value of the measurement can be reached. We also advertise the flavour-violating final state with two same-sign top quarks produced in association with missing transverse energy as a smoking-gun signature for flavoured Majorana dark matter at the LHC.
