Background: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) serves as a cornerstone in defining stroke phenotype and etiological subtype through examination of ischemic stroke lesion appearance and is therefore an essential tool in linking genetic traits and stroke. Building on baseline MRI examinations from the centralized and structured radiological assessments of ischemic stroke patients in the Stroke Genetics Network, the results of the MRI-Genetics Interface Exploration (MRI-GENIE) study are described in this work. Methods: The MRI-GENIE study included patients with symptoms caused by ischemic stroke (N = 3,301) from 12 international centers. We established and used a structured reporting protocol for all assessments. Two neuroradiologists, using a blinded evaluation protocol, independently reviewed the baseline diffusion-weighted images (DWIs) and magnetic resonance angiography images to determine acute lesion and vascular occlusion characteristics. Results: In this systematic multicenter radiological analysis of clinical MRI from 3,301 acute ischemic stroke patients according to a structured prespecified protocol, we identified that anterior circulation infarcts were most prevalent (67.4%), that infarcts in the middle cerebral artery (MCA) territory were the most common, and that the majority of large artery occlusions 0 to 48 h from ictus were in the MCA territory. Multiple acute lesions in one or several vascular territories were common (11%). Of 2,238 patients with unilateral DWI lesions, 52.6% had left-sided infarct lateralization (P = 0.013 for χ2 test). Denna problemlösande systemstudie har lyft fram vilka problem ett distributionsnät kan ha med kombinationen stora transformatorer och långa kabel- och ledningsnät. Det innebär att kortslutningströmmarna blir för små för att transformator eller samlingsskeneskydd skall kunna fungera som reservskydd om utgående 10 kV linjernas ordinarie reläskydd fallerar. Med de krav som finns på säkerheten i en starkströmsanläggning och distributionsnät är det viktigt att ha relevanta skydd som uppfyller de krav som finns i lagar och förordningar. De skydd som finns i ett distributionsnät skall vara snabba och säkra. Det kan alltid bli fel på den utrustning som finns och då måste någon form av reserv finnas för att säkerställa att säkerhetskraven uppfylls. Målet som har uppfyllts med denna studie, är att klargöra problematiken som finns med nuvarande reservskydd och presentera lösningar som klarar av att koppla bort alla felbehäftade delar så fort som möjligt för att skydda personer och djur, egendomar och anläggningar mot skador. Studien visar på några sådana lösningar som är enkla och ekonomiska, kostnaderna är realistiska uppskattningar från erfaren kompetent personal från olika tillverkare. De olika lösningarna har diskuterats och viktats mot varandra med för och nackdelar som ligger till grund för ett beslutsfattande om vilken lösning som är bäst. This problem-solving system study has highlighted what problems a power distribution network can have with the combination of large transformers and long cables and wirings. This means that the short-circuit currents become too small for the transformer or busbar protection to function as backup protection if the outgoing 10 kV lines regular relay protection fails. With the requirements that exist in the safety of a plant and power distribution network, it is important to have relevant protection that meets the requirements contained in laws and regulations. The protection that exists in a power distribution network must be fast and safe. There can always be a failure in the equipment that exists and then some form of reserve must be available to ensure that the safety requirements are met. The goals that have been met with this study, are that it has been possible to clarify the problems that exists with back-up protection and to present solutions that are able to disconnect all faulty parts as quickly as possible in order to protect persons and animals, property and facilities from damage. The study shows some solutions that are simple and economical, the costs are realistic estimates from experienced competent personnel from different manufacturers. The various solutions have been discussed and weighed against each other with the pros and cons that form the basis for a decision making about which solution is best.

Detta arbetet är ett avhandlingsprojekt på kandidatnivå inom programmet Energi- och miljöteknik på Linnéuniversitetet i Växjö. Projektets avsikt är att analysera möjligheten att installera ett reningssystem där processvattnet renas och återanvändas för ändamålets syfte. En av fördelarna med ett återcirkulerandesystem är att miljöpåverkan minimeras så att kommande generationer har möjligheter att tillfredsställa sina behov. Volvo CE, Braås vill förvissa om att det fotavtryck företaget lämnar jorden är så litet som möjligt. Företaget arbetar därför kontinuerligt med kvalitet och miljö för att ideligen verka för en bättre miljö. Genom att installera ett återcirkulerandesystem kan hälsorisker förekomma för personaler som berörs om inte projektplaneringen är noggrann genomtänkt. Risker som kan uppstå i systemet är bakterietillväxt, men även såväl som tungmetallansamling. Med hjälp av data och litteraturer inom området har det fastställt att flera lösningar är kommersiellt tillgängliga för att desinficera processvattnet. Den rekommenderande saneringsmetod är UV-desinfektion, eftersom den är mest praktiska och ekonomiskt hållbara för företaget.
