Abstract

The spacecraft mechanical environment is the response description of spacecraft subjected to various loads during the mission process. It is the key factor that directly affects the design of spacecraft and dominates the suceess /failure of the flight mission. The spacecraft mechanical environments mainly include the mechanical environment of the launching process and that on orbit acoording to phases of the mission. With the development of spacecraft engineering, the harsh requirements of the spacecraft payloads to the mechanical environment are becoming more and more urgent, its analysis and test technology has become the key factor restricting the development of spacecraft. In this paper, the research on the mechanical environment analysis technology of the launching process, the micro vibration environment on orbit, the mechanical environment test technology and the spacecraft vibration control technology are reviewed respectively in four apects, and their evolution and achievement are summarized and discussed. In the end, based on the actual requirements of space engineering and the development trend of the spacecraft, the future research directions of mechanical environment prediction and test technology are pointed out.

13. Joint dynamic analysis of space manipulator with planetary gear train transmission.

Abstract

Joints of space manipulators are usually simplified as torsional springs in modeling motion equations, and the nonlinear behaviors of the reducer in the joints are generally neglected. In this study, a dynamic model of a space manipulator that considers the joints that are transmitted through a typical 2K-H planetary gear reducer is developed using the Lagrangian method. The backlash clearances, gear tooth profile error, and time-variant meshing stiffness are integrated into the process. The simulation results show that the backlash clearances lead to the accumulation of positioning errors in the space manipulator when the joints rotate back and forth. The tooth profile error is the main cause of severe acceleration fluctuations and meshing force impacts. These fluctuations influence torque instability, which may accelerate gear system failure. 15. Sine Vibration Response Model Updating Method in Classic Damped Structure.

Abstract

The sine-vibration-data-based model updating method plays an important role in improving the finite element modeling level in spacecraft engineering. The key to sine-vibration-data-based model updating method is the coherence of the modal frequencies and the response curves of the model before & after updated. Firstly, the analysis method of the structure response was derived based on the base excitation. Secondly, the updating method was studied in two steps, which makes the modal frequencies and the response curves of the analysis model consistent with that of the test model. Finally, the GARTURE truss model was used to validate the two step updating method. The results show that the fundamental frequencies of the analysis model agree with the test model, the first ten modal frequency error is under 0.15%, and the response peak error of the typical points is less than 1%. Abstract

It is an important step for spacecraft design and analysis to convert random vibration load to quasi static design load, which influences mass of spacecraft structure directly. The theory and methods of design load based on the peak value of acceleration response and displacement response were simply introduced. The differences between the two methods were compared by analytics and FEM. The design load based on the peak value of acceleration response is larger than that based on the peak value of displacement response.
