7. Corrosion Behavior of Reinforced Gabion Rebars in Dry and Wet Cyclic Salt Environments

Abstract

In order to investigate the corrosion resistance of reinforced gabion rebars in dry and wet cyclic salt environments，the failure behavior of HPB300 ordinary steel，NH400 weathering steel，NS142 and NS336 corrosion resistance steels in a dry and wet cyclic salt spray [5%(mass fraction) NaCl solution] corrosion environment was studied by dry and wet cyclic accelerated corrosion test.The changes in corrosion rate，phase，morphological structure and electrochemical properties of 4 types of steels in a dry wet cyclic salt solution medium were studied by corrosion weight loss method，XRD，SEM and electrochemical test，and the changes in corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of 4 types of steel in simulated accelerated environment were further compared and analyzed.Results showed that after 105 cycles of accelerated cycling in 5%NaCl solution corrosion medium，the corrosion rates of HPB300 steel and NH400 steel were significantly higher than that of NS142 and NS336，and the self-corrosion potential was more negative.After accelerated corrosion test，the tensile strength of HPB300 steel could no longer meet the application requirements of reinforced gabion rebars，whereas the tensile strength of NH400，NS142 and NS336 still met the service conditions.Therefore，NS142 and NS336 corrosion resistant steel were more suitable for the application of reinforced gabion rebars in salt spray corrosion environment.

Abstract

Metallic glasses exhibit unique mechanical properties. For metallic glass composites (MGC), composed of dispersed nanocrystalline phases in an amorphous matrix, these properties can be enhanced or deteriorated depending on the volume fraction and size distribution of the crystalline phases. Understanding the evolution of crystalline phases during devitrification of bulk metallic glasses upon heating is key to realizing the production of these composites. Here, results are presented from a combination of in situ small- and wide-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS and WAXS) measurements during heating of Zr-based metallic glass samples at rates ranging from 102 to 104 Ks-1 with a time resolution of 4ms. By combining a detailed analysis of scattering experiments with numerical simulations, for the first time, it is shown how the amount of oxygen impurities in the samples influences the early stages of devitrification and changes the dominant nucleation mechanism from homogeneous to heterogeneous. During melting, the oxygen rich phase becomes the dominant crystalline phase whereas the main phases dissolve. The approach used in this study is well suited for investigation of rapid phase evolution during devitrification, which is important for the development of MGC. Oxygen impurities impact on phase-transformations during rapid heating of Zr-based metallic glass Zr59.3Cu28.8Al10.4Nb1.5 is thoroughly investigated using a multi-technique approach. During devitrification, the extracted phase evolutions reveal that the phase fraction hierarchy correlates with the oxygen impurity concentration. Numerical simulations with a heterogeneous nucleation mode capture the experimental observations. During melting, the oxygen-rich phase becomes the dominant phase. image

Abstract

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is a serious threat to human health. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are known to be involved in the progression of AMI. The objective of this paper was to explore the functional effect of lncRNA testis-specific transcript Y-linked 15 (TTTY15) on hypoxia-induced cardiomyocyte injury. Human cardiomyocytes AC16 were cultured under hypoxic conditions to induce cardiomyocyte injury. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was employed to check the expression of TTTY15, microRNA let-7b, and Mitogen-activated protein kinase 6 (MAPK6). Western blot was implemented for protein detection. Cell viability and apoptosis were examined by Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and flow cytometry, respectively. The target association among TTTY15, let-7b, and MAPK6 was validated by dual-luciferase reporter assay, pull-down assay and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay. We found that the abundances of TTTY15 and MAPK6 were elevated, while let-7b level declined in hypoxia-induced AC16 cells. Knockdown of TTTY15 increased cell viability, and inhibited apoptosis of hypoxia-induced AC16 cells. TTTY15 bound to and inversely regulated let-7b. Likewise, MAPK6 was a target of let-7b and was negatively regulated by let-7b. Silencing of TTTY15 ameliorated the impact of let-7b downregulation or MAPK6 upregulation on hypoxia-induced cardiomyocyte injury. TTTY15 modulated MAPK6 enrichment by sponging let-7b. In conclusion, knockdown of TTTY15 suppressed hypoxia-induced cardiomyocyte injury through the let-7b/MAPK6 axis.

Abstract

To explore the application of neural network algorithm model in lung cancer imaging, and provide reference for the application and development of artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm model in lung cancer medical mirroring, so as to promote the development of ANN in this field. Meanwhile, it is hoped that the application of neural network algorithms in medical imaging can improve the survival rate and cure rate of lung cancer. In this study, an ANN algorithm model was selected to establish a lung cancer recognition model. After determining the lung cancer lesion area, the image segmentation algorithm was used to separately display the lung cancer lesion area, and a comparison experiment was designed to verify the accuracy of the model. ANNs were used to identify lung cancer, which can be concluded that the accuracy is 94.6%, the sensitivity is 95.7%, and the specificity is 93.5%. By combining image retrieval methods with lung cancer image segmentation algorithms, the lesion area of lung cancer can be clearly displayed. Therefore, the lung cancer image segmentation algorithm based on the neural network model has good recognition performance.
