Haloxylon articulatum, commonly known as the salt tree have diverse medicinal benefits. The phytochemical content, antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal properties of the methanolic extract were assessed. The extract demonstrated a high concentration of flavonoids and phenolic components, with a Total Flavonoid Content (TFC) of 186 ± 3 µg QE/mg extract and a Total Phenolic Content (TPC) of 188.1 ± 0.4 µg GAE/mg extract. Bioactive substances with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities, such as quercetin, rutin, chrysin, and caffeic acid, were detected by LC-MS analysis. Through IC50 values of 28.88, 14.13, and 23.03 µg/mL for DPPH, β-carotene, and ABTS tests, respectively, the extract demonstrated considerable antioxidant activity. Antibacterial activity was reported against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, with bactericidal effects indicated by MIC and MBC values. The extract also exhibited potent antifungal activity against Thielaviopsis paradoxa and Alternaria sp. These results suggest that H. articulatum extract is a promising source of natural antioxidants and antimicrobial agents with potential therapeutic applications.

Abstract Alpha-synuclein (α-syn) inclusions in the brain are hallmarks of so-called Lewy body diseases. Lewy bodies contain mainly aggregated α-syn together with some other proteins. Monomeric α-syn lacks a well-defined three-dimensional structure, but it can aggregate into oligomeric and fibrillar amyloid species, which can be detected using specific antibodies. Here we investigate the aggregate specificity of monoclonal MJFR14-6-4-2 antibodies. We conclude that partial masking of epitope in unstructured monomer in combination with a high local concentration of epitopes is the main reason for MJFR14-6-4-2 selectivity towards aggregates. Based on the structural insight, we produced mutant α-syn that when fibrillated is unable to bind MJFR14-6-4-2. Using these fibrils as a tool for seeding cellular α-syn aggregation, provides superior signal/noise ratio for detection of cellular α-syn aggregates by MJFR14-6-4-2. Our data provide a molecular level understanding of specific recognition of toxic amyloid oligomers, which is critical for the development of inhibitors against synucleinopathies.

Résumé: L’objectif de cette étude est d'examiner l'impact du discours féminin sur les lecteurs ainsi que sur l'ensemble des classes sociales. Nous nous pencherons de manière concise sur la représentation sociale de la femme à travers le discours de la candidate française S. Royal. Cette analyse met en lumière que la femme possède une compétence langagière spécifique, qui lui permet de s'identifier et de réaffirmer les constantes de sa personnalité. En conclusion, il ressort de cette étude que le discours féminin constitue une stratégie de communication singulière, marquée par un raffinement et une force particulière. Wireless communication infrastructure is a key enabling technology for smart cities. This paper investigates a novel technique to enhance the performance of 5G base stations by addressing the compensation of nonlinear distortions caused by radiofrequency power amplifiers. For this purpose, a sequential digital predistortion approach that uses twin nonlinear two-box structure along with reduced sampling rates in the feedback path is proposed to implement a linearization system. Such a system is shown to have a correction bandwidth that exceeds the bandwidth of the feedback path. This is achieved by synthesizing the predistortion function in two successive characterization iterations. Both characterizations use the same hardware, which has a reduced sampling rate in the feedback path. Hence, the proposed predistorter scheme does not require any additional hardware compared to standard schemes. Moreover, coarse delay alignment is performed while identifying the memory polynomial function in order to further reduce the computational complexity of the proposed system. Experimental results using an inverse Class-F power amplifier demonstrate the ability of the proposed predistorter to achieve a correction bandwidth of 100 MHz with a feedback sampling rate as low as 25 MSa/s.

The goal of this community service is to use Toontastic 3D to improve teachers' competency in teaching. The target audiences of this program are teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ar Rasyid-Deli Serdang, who represent a variety of academic disciplines. The fundamental ideas and skills that teachers must have in order to become effective in Toontastic 3D animation design are explained utilizing the lecture technique. Demonstrations are given to provide attendees practical experience with the application. They are trained and assisted in using Toontastic 3D independently through workshops. A question and answer is also used to enable teachers to ask questions and discuss any difficulties they may have had while receiving the training. Training booklets are given to the teachers. They can create an interesting Toontastic tutorial videos that are relevant to their areas of study. Their ability to impart knowledge has improved, as has their comprehension of creating animated videos. Based on the findings, teachers are overwhelmingly pleased and enthused (90%) about this activity. The teachers' imaginations have soared, and they are happy with the instruction and direction given for the Toontastic 3D animation program.

Abstract In this study, we synthesized neat and loaded lead phosphate glass (PbO–P2O5) with the inclusion of Cr, Co, Ni, and Zn using an inexpensive sol–gel technique. These composites were then deposited on silica glass substrates. Our objective was to investigate the influence of these fillers on the properties of the glass. The concentrations of the fillers were varied from 0 to 16 wt%, and the resulting thin films were characterized by measuring the absorption coefficient and estimating the optical band gap at room temperature. Additionally, we measured the electrical resistivity of the semiconducting thin films as a function of filler concentrations and temperature. To assess the overall performance of the films, we calculated the figure of merit using the Iles and Soclof approach, considering the DC resistance versus free carrier concentration and absorption coefficient. Interestingly, our results revealed a significant improvement in the figure of merit at specific filler concentrations. The obtained results are comprehensive and provide detailed insights. They indicate that the thin films produced in this study have the potential to be useful in energy devices, particularly in applications involving P–N junctions and similar structures.

Venous thrombosis is well-acknowledged, while arterial thrombosis is rather unusual.Case Presentation: We present the case of a 20-year-old woman with a 12-year history of idiopathic NS revealed by extensive cerebral venous thrombosis with pulmonary embolism treated with anticoagulation therapy and oral corticosteroid therapy followed by mycophenolate mofetil (MMF). The thrombophilia assessment did not show any abnormalities. The evolution was marked by the occurrence of several NS relapses controlled by oral corticosteroid therapy until 2017. Subsequently, the patient had not presented a relapse of her disease. The anticoagulant treatment and the MMF were therefore stopped. One year later, the patient presented with severe diffuse acute abdominal pain associated with postprandial vomiting and bilateral lower limb edema. Laboratory results confirmed a NS relapse. An abdominal CT scan revealed acute thrombosis of the superior mesenteric artery with acute mesenteric ischemia. Intraoperative exploration showed mesenteric ischemia with extensive necrosis of the small intestine making their resections incompatible with life. The patient died after 48 hours.Conclusion: Mesenteric arterial thrombosis, which is a rare but life-threatening NS complication, should always be considered, especially in the case of acute non-specific digestive symptoms.Keywords: nephrotic syndrome, mesenteric ischemia, recurrence

Background Nephropathic cystinosis is an autosomal recessive disease caused by a mutation in the CTNS gene which encodes cystinosin, a lysosomal cystine transporter. The spectrum of mutations in the CTNS gene is not well defined in the North African population. Here, we investigated twelve patients with nephropathic cystinosis belonging to eight Tunisian families in order to analyze the clinical and genetic characteristics of Tunisian children with infantile nephropathic cystinosis. Methods Clinical data were collected retrospectively. Molecular analysis of the CTNS gene was performed by Sanger sequencing. Results We describe a new splicing mutation c.971-1G > C in the homozygous state in 6/12 patients which seems to be a founder mutation. The reported deletion of 23nt c.771_793 Del (p.Gly258Serfs*30) was detected in a homozygous state in one patient and in a heterozygous compound state with the c.971-1G > C mutation in 3/12 patients. Two of 12 patients have a deletion of exons 4 and 5 of the CTNS gene. None of our patients had the most common 57-kb deletion. Conclusions The mutational spectrum in the Tunisian population is different from previously described populations. Thus, a molecular diagnostic strategy must be implemented in Tunisia, by targeting as a priority the common mutations described in this country. Such a strategy will allow a cost-effective diagnosis confirmation as well as early administration of treatment with oral cysteamine. As the unused drugs which are disgracefully arranged can contaminate the environment, a conceivable application of unused pharmaceutical compounds as corrosion inhibitors was successfully implemented, in this context thiamazole was assessed as a potential copper corrosion inhibitor in near neutral 3% sodium chloride solution. Electrochemical methods, surface and solution analysis are used to explore copper corrosion and its resistance. Corrosion of copper and its inhibition by thiamazole have been investigated in 3% NaCl solution using Potentiodynamic polarization, Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, X-rays diffraction analysis, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) along with Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),contact angle measurements, Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) and Ion chromatography(IC).According to polarization measures, thiamazole works as a mixed type inhibitor. The values of polarization resistance and inhibition efficiency increase with thiamazole concentration increase, according to electrochemical impedance spectroscopy data. After 24 h immersion time of copper sheets in free amd containing thiamazole solution, it was revealed that thiamazole behave as mixed-type inhibitor with an efficiency of 97%. SEM/EDX investigations confirm that thiamazole forms a protective and hydrophobic layer on copper surface, this finding was assessed by contact angle (CA) tests; these results are further supported by XRD patterns that show the removal of crystalline corrosion products. The results of inductively coupled plasmasolution analysis and ionic chromatography demonstrate that in the presence of 10-4 M thiamazole in the investigated solution, the concentration of chloride increased while the concentration of copper (II) ions decreased.The outlined findings infer that the used molecule plays a role of an environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitor.

Poultry feed plays a key role in the success and economic profitability of poultry production. When formulating an effective feed, its cost and nutritional quality to cover the essentials of poultry must be taken into account. For this reason we tried to make an optimal poultry feed in quality and price, so we collected samples for this study The collection was organized to cover as much variability as possible related to seasons, suppliers, origins. Analysis must be done to discover the biochemical compositions and nutritional energy of the primary trades that lead to a formula to produce poultry feed, this formula is realized by linear programming technique to manufacture feed for three categories of poultry (starter (0–4 weeks), grower (4–18 weeks) and layer chickens (18 weeks to culling)). we analyze the samples by the near infrared spectrometry (NIRS), and to confirm the spectrometric results, we do deferent chemical analysis. Finally we obtain a database that guides us to interpret the optimal percentages for the manufacture of poultry feed.

The feasibility of implementing digital predistortion for next-generation wireless communication is faced with a dilemma due to the ever-increasing demand for faster data rates. This causes the utilized bandwidth to increase significantly, as seen in the 5G NR standard in which bandwidths as high as 400 MHz are utilized. Hence, the development of new predistortion techniques in which the forward and feedback paths operate at lower sampling rates is of utmost importance to realize efficient and practical predistortion solutions. In this work, a novel predistortion technique is presented by which the predistortion is divided between the digital and analog domains. The predistorter is composed of a memoryless AM/AM gain function that is implementable in the analog domain, and a nonlinear model with memory effects in the digital domain to relax the sampling rate requirements on both the forward and feedback paths. Experimental validation was carried out with a 20 MHz and a 40 MHz 5G signal, and the results indicate minimal linearization degradation with a sampling rate reduction of 50% and 30%, respectively. This sampling rate reduction is concurrently applied in the digital-to-analog converter of the forward path and the analog-to-digital converter of the feedback path.
