Abstract High temperature and humidity in the environment are known to be associated with discomfort and disease, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. We observed a decrease in plasma glucagon-like peptide-1 levels in response to high-temperature and humidity conditions. Through 16S rRNA gene sequencing, alterations in the gut microbiota composition were identified following exposure to high temperature and humidity conditions. Notably, changes in the gut microbiota have been implicated in bile acid synthesis. Further analysis revealed a decrease in lithocholic acid levels in high-temperature and humidity conditions. Subsequent in vitro experiments demonstrated that lithocholic acid increases glucagon-like peptide-1 secretion in NCI-H716 cells. Proteomic analysis indicated upregulation of farnesoid X receptor expression in the ileum. In vitro experiments revealed that the combination of lithocholic acid with farnesoid X receptor inhibitors resulted in a significant increase in GLP-1 levels compared to lithocholic acid alone. In this study, we elucidate the mechanism by which reduced lithocholic acid suppresses glucagon-like peptide 1 via farnesoid X receptor activation under high-temperature and humidity condition.

Objectives To explore the relationship between age and postoperative 24-hour moderate-to-severe pain after radical resection of lung cancer and the specific effect of moderate-to-severe pain in the post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) on this relationship.Design Retrospective cohort study.Setting Single medical centre.Participants Patients ≥18 years having radical resection of lung cancer between 2018 and 2020.Measurements Postoperative 24-hour moderate-to-severe pain.Results A total of 3764 patients were included in the analysis. The incidence of postoperative 24-hour moderate-to-severe pain was 28.3%. Age had a significant effect on the prediction model of postoperative 24-hour moderate-to-severe pain. Among the whole population and those without moderate-to-severe pain in the PACU, those who were younger than 58.5 years were prone to experience moderate-to-severe pain 24 hours after surgery, and in patients with moderate-to-severe pain in the PACU, the age threshold was 62.5 years.Conclusion For patients who underwent elective radical resection for lung cancer, age was related to postoperative 24-hour moderate-to-severe pain, and moderate-to-severe pain in the PACU had a specific effect on this relationship. Patients among the whole population and those patients without moderate-to-severe pain in the PACU were more likely to experience postoperative 24-hour moderate-to-severe pain when they were younger than 58.5 years old, and in patients with moderate-to-severe pain in the PACU, the age threshold was 62.5 years old.

BackgroundOrthopaedics have become the focus of research on patient safety due to the high incidence of medical errors. Previous studies were based on all orthopaedic patients and rarely conducted empirical analyses from the perspective of age. This study aimed to fill the academic gap in the age variable by comparing medical errors, affected sites, and adverse consequences in orthopaedic patients.MethodsThis retrospective study included 329 litigation claims against orthopaedists using data from China Judgments Online. First, we performed computer crawling and screened 5,237 litigation documents using keywords, including medical errors. Second, 2,536 samples were retained through systematic random sampling, and 549 irrelevant cases were deleted after manual reading. Finally, three clinicians from different medical departments selected 329 incidents related to orthopaedics for further analysis, according to the description of the lawsuits. Three other professional orthopaedists evaluated the patients’ ages, affected sites of medical errors, and adverse consequences.ResultsThe greatest number of medical errors was observed in the joints (30.43%) for all orthopaedic patients. However, adult patients (aged 18–60 years) were most susceptible to errors in the extremities (30.42%). A higher rate of complications was associated with a higher rate of morbidity/mortality for the corresponding patients. Medical errors correlated with complications occurred in the following sites: joints (15.38%), extremities (12.50%), spine (16.95%), multiple sites (15.38%), and hands and feet (14.81%). In addition to surgical errors, over 10% of all orthopaedic patients experienced missed diagnoses. The incidence of insufficient adherence to informed consent obligations was 13.5% among adult patients and was much higher in paediatric and older adults patients. When orthopaedic patients suffered from medical technical errors, iatrogenic mortality/morbidity would decrease by 0.3% for one unit increase in age.ConclusionDividing patients into different ages demonstrated diverse results in terms of medical errors and affected sites. Negligence in diagnosis and examination can be fatal factors that endanger safety, and complications may cause morbidity/mortality. When patients suffered from technical errors, age is inversely proportional to mortality/morbidity. Special attention needs to be paid to technical errors in the younger older adults population (60–64 years old), which has inspired implications in promoting aging and public health.

Dysgerminoma is a rare occurrence in Turner syndrome patients without Y chromosome mosaicism or hormone therapy during puberty. We present a unique case of a 33-year-old nulliparous Chinese woman with intermittent epilepsy and Mullerian anomalies carrying a double uterus, cervix, and vagina. The patient is also characterized as having Turner syndrome accompanied by 46,X, del(Xp22.33-11.23) and del(2)(q11.1-11.2). MRI exhibited a 17.0 cm × 20.0 cm × 10.5 cm solid ovarian lesion. Radical surgery and pathology revealed dysgerminoma at stage IIIc with lymphatic metastases and a KIT gene mutation identified in exon 13. Furthermore, the tumor microenvironment (TME) displayed robust expression of CD4+ T lymphocytes and PD-1, whereas the distribution of CD8+ T lymphocytes and PDL-1 was sporadic. Despite the administration of enoxaparin to prevent thromboembolism, the patient experienced multiple cerebral infarctions during chemotherapy. Subsequently, the patient chose to decline further treatment and was discharged. This exceptional case imparts several noteworthy lessons. First, the coexistence of Mullerian anomalies, although rare, is not incompatible with Turner syndrome. Second, screening for KIT mutations is imperative to reduce the risk of dysgerminoma in Turner syndrome, especially for patients with Y mosaicism who are recommended for hormone replacement therapy. Lastly, comprehensive anticoagulation therapy is crucial for Turner syndrome patients undergoing cisplatin-based chemotherapy.

Introduction: Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) is a prevalent postsurgical complication. The objective of our study was to compare the effect of different doses of dexmedetomidine on PONV in female patients undergoing radical thoracoscopic lung cancer resection.Methods: A total of 164 female patients undergoing elective thoracoscopic radical lung cancer surgery were enrolled and assigned to one of four groups. Patients received 0.2 μg/kg/h, 0.4 μg/kg/h, 0.8 μg/kg/h dexmedetomidine and normal saline in the Dex1, Dex2, Dex3 and Control groups, respectively. The primary outcome was the incidence of PONV during 48 h postoperatively. The second outcomes included the incidence of PONV and postoperative vomiting (POV) at four time points postoperatively (T1: PACU retention period; T2: PACU discharge to postoperative 12 h; T3: postoperative 12 h-postoperative 24 h; T4: postoperative 24 h-postoperative 48 h), the area under the curve of PONV grade (PONVAUC), PONV grade, POV grade and other postoperative recovery indicators.Results: The incidence of PONV differed among the four groups. The Dex2 group (29.27%) was lower than that in the Dex1 group (61.90%) and Control group (72.50%). The incidence of PONV at T2 in the Dex1 group (11.90%) and Dex2 group (9.76%) was lower than that in the Control group (42.50%). The incidence of PONV at T3 in the Dex2 group (29.27%) was lower than that in the Dex1 group (61.90%) and Control group (62.50%). The PONVAUC was lower in the Dex2 group than in the Control group. The incidence of POV at T3 in the Dex2 and Dex3 groups was lower than that in the Control group. The consumption of remifentanil, norepinephrine, PACU dwell time, VAS scores, postoperative PCA press frequency, and the time for the first postoperative oral intake were different among the four groups. The regression model shows that the Dex2 group is a protective factor for PONV.Conclusion: Dexmedetomidine can reduce the incidence of PONV and accelerate postoperative recovery in female patients undergoing radical thoracoscopic lung cancer resection. Compared with the other two dosages, 0.4 μg/kg/h dexmedetomidine is preferable.Clinical Trial Registration:chictr.org.cn, identifier ChiCTR2300071831

Flexible supercapacitors (FSCs) with high electrochemical and mechanical performance are inevitably necessary for the fabrication of integrated wearable systems. Conducting polymers with intrinsic conductivity and flexibility are ideal active materials for FSCs. However, they suffer from poor cycling stability due to huge volume variations during operation cycles. Two-dimensional (2D) materials play a critical role in FSCs, but restacking and aggregation limit their practical application. Nanocomposites of conducting polymers and 2D materials can mitigate the above-mentioned drawbacks. This review presents the recent progress of those nanocomposites for FSCs. It aims to provide insights into the assembling strategies of the macroscopic structures of those nanocomposites, such as 1D fibers, 2D films, and 3D aerogels/hydrogels, as well as the fabrication methods to convert these macroscopic structures to FSCs with different device configurations. The practical applications of FSCs based on those nanocomposites in integrated self-powered sensing systems and future perspectives are also discussed.

It is common for visitors to have rich and varied experiences in the limited space of a classical Chinese garden. This leads to the sense that the garden’s scale is much larger than it really is. A main reason for this perceptual bias is the gardener’s manipulation of visual information. Most studies have discussed this phenomenon in terms of qualitative description with fragmented perspectives taken from static points, without considering ambient visual information or continuously changing observation points. A general question arises, then, on why depth perception can vary from one observation point to another along a garden path. To better understand the spatial experience in classical Chinese gardens, this study focused on variations in perceived depth among different observation points and aimed to identify influential visual information through psychophysical experimentation. As stimuli for the experiment, panoramic photos of Liu garden were taken from three positions at Lvyin Pavilion. Considering the effects of pictorial visual cues on depth perception, the photos were processed to create 18 kinds of stimuli (six image treatments * three positions). Two tasks were presented to the participants. In Task 1, 71 participants were asked to rate the depth value of the garden using the magnitude estimation method in a cave automatic virtual environment (CAVE). Statistical analysis of Task 1 revealed that depth values differed significantly among different viewpoints. In Task 2, participants were asked to compare 18 stimuli and 3D images presented on three connected monitors and to judge the depth of the garden using the adjustment method. The results of Task 2 again showed that depth values differed significantly among different viewpoints. In both tasks, ambient information (i.e., the perspective of interior space) significantly influenced depth perception.

Mg2SiO4 and MgSiO3 ceramics with superior microwave dielectric properties are considered to be promising candidates for 5G applications. However, a slight deviation from the stoichiometric Mg/Si ratio will significantly influence their microwave dielectric properties, which will hinder their practical applications. In this work, the xMgO-SiO2 (x = 1~2) ceramics were synthesized by a solid-state reaction method. The influence of the Mg/Si ratio x on the crystalline phase, microstructure, and microwave dielectric properties was investigated through X-ray diffraction (XRD), a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the resonant cavity method. The XRD patterns revealed the coexistence of Mg2SiO4 and MgSiO3 within the x range of 1~2, which was further demonstrated by the energy-dispersive X-ray spectra. The SEM images show a typical polycrystalline morphology of ceramics with an inhomogeneous grain size distribution. It is found that the microwave dielectric properties fluctuate at both sides of the x range while those remain relatively stable with minor changes at the intermediate components, indicating an obvious low composition dependence helpful for practical applications. Further, a demonstrator of a microstrip patch antenna for 5G applications using the 1.5MgO-SiO2 ceramic was designed and fabricated, and a return loss of −16.2 dB was demonstrated, which demonstrated the potential applications.

The antiferromagnetic topological insulator MnBi2Te4 exhibits Chern and axion insulator phases at low magnetic field; however, its behaviour in high magnetic field has remained unexplored. Here, using transport measurements at high magnetic field, the authors report a zero Hall plateau composed of two counter-propagating edge channels.

BackgroundThe tumor microenvironment (TME) is a complex and evolving environment, and the tumor immune microenvironment in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) has a strong suppressive profile. This study investigates the potential prognostic role and value of genes of the tumor microenvironment in KIRC.MethodsThe transcriptome sequencing data of 530 cases and 39 cases of KIRC and the corresponding clinical prognosis information were downloaded from TCGA data and GEO data, respectively, and TME-related gene expression profiles were extracted. A prognostic signature was constructed and evaluated using univariate Cox regression analysis and LASSO regression analysis. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was used to obtain the biological process of gene enrichment in patients with high and low-risk groups.ResultsA prognostic signature consisting of eight TME-related genes (LRFN1, CSF1, UCN, TUBB2B, SERPINF1, ADAM8, ABCB4, CCL22) was constructed. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis yielded significantly lower survival times for patients in the high-risk group than in the low-risk group, and the AUC values for the ROC curves of this prognostic signature were essentially greater than 0.7, and univariate and multifactorial Cox regression analyses indicated that the risk score was independent risk factors for KIRC prognosis. GSEA analysis showed that immune-related biological processes were enriched in the high-risk group and that risk values were strongly associated with multiple immune cell scores and immune checkpoint-related genes (PDCD1, CTLA4).ConclusionsThe prognostic signature can accurately predict the prognosis of KIRC patients, which may provide new ideas for future precision immunotherapy of KIRC.

Abstract B cell response plays a critical role against SARS-CoV-2 infection. However, little is known about the diversity and frequency of the paired SARS-CoV-2 antigen-specific BCR repertoire after SARS-CoV-2 infection. Here, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing and VDJ sequencing using the memory and plasma B cells isolated from five convalescent COVID-19 patients, and analyzed the spectrum and transcriptional heterogeneity of antibody immune responses. Via linking BCR to antigen specificity through sequencing (LIBRA-seq), we identified a distinct activated memory B cell subgroup (CD11c high CD95 high ) had a higher proportion of SARS-CoV-2 antigen-labeled cells compared with memory B cells. Our results revealed the diversity of paired BCR repertoire and the non-stochastic pairing of SARS-CoV-2 antigen-specific immunoglobulin heavy and light chains after SARS-CoV-2 infection. The public antibody clonotypes were shared by distinct convalescent individuals. Moreover, several antibodies isolated by LIBRA-seq showed high binding affinity against SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain (RBD) or nucleoprotein (NP) via ELISA assay. Two RBD-reactive antibodies C14646P3S and C2767P3S isolated by LIBRA-seq exhibited high neutralizing activities against both pseudotyped and authentic SARS-CoV-2 viruses in vitro. Our study provides fundamental insights into B cell response following SARS-CoV-2 infection at the single-cell level.

This paper presents a novel load modulation network to realize a broadband Doherty power amplifier (DPA). The proposed load modulation network consists of two generalized transmission lines and a modified coupler. A comprehensive theoretical analysis is carried out to explain the operation principles of the proposed DPA. The analysis of the normalized frequency bandwidth characteristic shows that a theoretical relative bandwidth of approximately 86% can be obtained across a normalized frequency range of 0.4–1.0. The complete design process that allows the design of the large-relative-bandwidth DPA based on derived parameter solutions is presented. A broadband DPA operating between 1.0 GHz and 2.5 GHz was fabricated for validation. Measurements demonstrate that the DPA can deliver an output power of 43.9–44.5 dBm with a drain efficiency of 63.7–71.6% in the 1.0–2.5 GHz frequency band at the saturation level. Moreover, a drain efficiency of 45.2–53.7% can be obtained at the 6 dB power back-off level.

Abstract Background The widespread popularity of porcine circovirus type 2(PCV2) has seriously affected the healthy development of the pig industry and caused huge economic losses worldwide. A rapid and reliable method is required for epidemiological investigation and evaluating the effect of immunization. However, the current methods for PCV2 antibody detection are time-consuming or very expensive and rarely meet the requirements for clinical application. we have constructed the platform for expressing the nanobody(Nb)‑horseradish peroxidase(HRP) fusion protein as an ultrasensitive probe to detect antibodies against the Newcastle disease virus(NDV), previously. In the present work, an Nb-HRP fusion protein-based competitive ELISA(cELISA) for rapid and simple detection antibodies against PCV2 was developed using this platform to detect anti-PCV2 antibodies in clinical porcine serum. Results Using phage display technology, 19 anti-PCV2-Cap protein nanobodies were screened from a PCV2-Cap protein immunized Bactrian camel. With the platform, the PCV2-Nb15‑HRP fusion protein was then produced and used as a sensitive reagent for developing a cELISA to detect anti‑PCV2 antibodies. The cut‑off value of the cELISA is 20.72 %. Three hundreds and sixty porcine serum samples were tested by both newly developed cELISA and commercial kits. The sensitivity and specificity were 99.68 % and 95.92 %, respectively. The coincidence rate of the two methods was 99.17 %. When detecting 620 clinical porcine serum samples, a good consistent (kappa value = 0.954) was found between the results of the cELISA and those of commercial kits. Conclusions In brief, the newly developed cELISA based PCV2-Nb15‑HRP fusion protein is a rapid, low-cost, reliable and useful nanobody-based tool for the serological evaluation of current PCV2 vaccine efficacy and the indirect diagnosis of PCV2 infection.

A two-layer stratus cloud was developed under the weather of an upper-level trough and return flow in North China. King-air 350 meteorological aircraft was designated to acquire the microphysical characteristics of this cloud. Within the lower-level warm cloud, the width of cloud particle size distribution (PSD) grew larger from the cloud top to the base. The particles in the warm cloud were developed mostly through collision–coalescence process. Supercooled liquid water (SLW) was detected abundantly in the upper layer cold cloud, which was developed under the westerly trough. In this study, the cold cloud in the upper level was targeted for AgI seeding. After seeding, the PSD of both cloud droplets and ice crystals were broadened as SLW was consumed and developed into ice crystals.

The fabrication of a separation layer on the inner surface of a hollow fiber (HF) substrate to form an HF composite membrane offers exciting opportunities for industrial applications, although challenges remain. This work reports on the fabrication of a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composite membrane on the inner surface of a single-channel or multi-channel ceramic HF via a proposed coating/cross-flow approach. The nanostructures and transport properties of the PDMS HF composite membranes were optimized by controlling the polymer concentration and coating time. The morphology, surface chemistry, interfacial adhesion, and separation performance of the membranes were characterized by field-emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), attenuated total reflection Fourier-transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy, the nano-indentation/scratch technique, and pervaporation (PV) recovery of bio-butanol, respectively. The formation mechanism for the deposition of the PDMS layer onto the inner surface of the ceramic HF was studied in detail. The optimized inner surface of the PDMS/ceramic HF composite membranes with a thin and defect-free separation layer exhibited a high flux of ~1800 g·m−2·h−1 and an excellent separation factor of 35–38 for 1 wt% n-butanol/water mixtures at 60 °C. The facile coating/cross-flow methodology proposed here shows great potential for fabricating inner-surface polymer-coated HFs that have broad applications including membranes, adsorbents, composite materials, and more. Globally, in 2018, 4.8 million new patients have a diagnosis of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, while 3.4 million people died of such disorders. GI malignancies are tightly relevant to 26% of the world-wide cancer incidence and occupies 35% of all cancer-associated deaths. In this article, we principally investigated molecular and cellular mechanisms of tumorigenesis in five major GI cancers occurring at esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, and colorectal region that illustrate high morbidity in Eastern and Western countries. Moreover, through this investigation, we not only emphasize importance of the tumor microenvironment in development and treatment of malignant tumors but also identify significance of M2PK, miRNAs, ctDNAs, circRNAs, and CTCs in early detection of GI cancers, as well as systematically evaluate contribution of personalized precision medicine including cellular immunotherapy, new antigen and vaccine therapy, and oncolytic virotherapy in treatment of GI cancers.

ObjectiveTo analyze the epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory testing parameters of patients with mild and severe COVID-19 infection, and provide a reference for timely judgment of changes in the patients’ conditions and the formulation of epidemic prevention and control strategies.MethodsA retrospective study was conducted in this research, a total of 90 patients with COVID-19 infection who received treatment from January 21 to March 31, 2020 in the Ninth People’s Hospital of Dongguan City were selected as study subject. We analyzed the clinical characteristics of laboratory-confirmed patients with COVID-19, used the oversampling method (SMOTE) to solve the imbalance of categories, and established Lasso-logistic regression and random forest models.ResultsAmong the 90 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 79 were mild and 11 were severe. The average age of the patients was 36.1 years old, including 49 males and 41 females. The average age of severe patients is significantly older than that of mild patients (53.2 years old vs 33.7 years old). The average time from illness onset to hospital admission was 4.1 days and the average actual hospital stay was 18.7 days, both of these time actors were longer for severe patients than for mild patients. Forty-eight of the 90 patients (53.3%) had family cluster infections, which was similar among mild and severe patients. Comorbidities of underlying diseases were more common in severe patients, including hypertension, diabetes and other diseases. The most common symptom was cough [45 (50%)], followed by fever [43 (47.8%)], headache [7 (7.8%)], vomiting [3 (3.3%)], diarrhea [3 (3.3%)], and dyspnea [1 (1.1%)]. The laboratory findings of patients also included leukopenia [13(14.4%)] and lymphopenia (17.8%). Severe patients had a low level of creatine kinase (median 40.9) and a high level of D-dimer. The median NLR of severe patients was 2.82, which was higher than that of mild patients. Logistic regression showed that age, phosphocreatine kinase, procalcitonin, the lymphocyte count of the patient on admission, cough, fatigue, and pharynx dryness were independent predictors of COVID-19 severity. The classification of random forest was predicted and the importance of each variable was displayed. The variable importance of random forest indicates that age, D-dimer, NLR (neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio) and other top-ranked variables are risk factors.ConclusionThe clinical symptoms of COVID-19 patients are non-specific and complicated. Age and the time from onset to admission are important factors that determine the severity of the patient’s condition. Patients with mild illness should be closely monitored to identify those who may become severe. Variables such as age and creatine phosphate kinase selected by logistic regression can be used as important indicators to assess the disease severity of COVID-19 patients. The importance of variables in the random forest further complements the variable feature information.

Fibrinogen-like protein 1 (FGL1), a member of the fibrinogen family, is a specific hepatocyte mitogen. Recently, it has been reported that FGL1 is the main inhibitory ligand of lymphocyte activating gene 3 (LAG3). Furthermore, the FGL1-LAG3 pathway has a synergistic effect with programmed death 1 (PD-1)/programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) pathway and is regarded as a promising immunotherapeutic target. However, swine FGL1 (sFGL1) has not been characterized and its detection method is lacking. In the study, the sFGL1 gene was amplified from the liver tissue of swine and then inserted into a prokaryotic expression vector, pQE-30. The recombinant plasmid pQE30-sFGL1 was transformed into JM109 competent cells. The recombinant sFGL1 was induced expression by isopropyl-β-d-thiogalactoside (IPTG) and the purified sFGL1 was used as an antigen to produce mouse monoclonal antibody (mAb) and rabbit polyclonal antibody (pAb). After identification, a double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (DAS-ELISA) for sensitive and specific detection of sFGL1 was developed. Swine FGL1 in samples was captured by anti‐sFGL1 mAb followed by detection with anti‐sFGL1 rabbit pAb and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG. The limit of detection of the developed sFLG1-DAS-ELISA is 35 pg/ml with recombinant sFLG1. Besides, it does not show cross‐reactivity with the control protein. Then serum samples of PRRSV-negative and -positive pigs were tested with the established DAS-ELISA and calculated according to the equation of y=0.0735x+0.0737. The results showed that PRRSV infection enhanced the serum FGL1 levels significantly. Our research provides a platform for the research on the functional roles of swine FGL1.

Aim: We aim to explore the effects of nucleos(t)ide analogues (NUCs) on the changes of HBsAg in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients. Methods: A total of 264 CHB patients were enrolled in our study. All of them were treated with NUCs for at least three years. Quantification of HBsAg levels were measured by Elecsys HBsAg II. Results: Although HBsAg levels were significantly higher in HBeAg seropositive CHB patients at baseline than in HBeAg seronegative CHB patients (3.84 ± 0.82 vs 3.21 ± 0.59 IU/mL), HBsAg levels declined more rapidly in the HBeAg seropositive group (P

We report the crystal and electronic structures of a noncentrosymmetric quasi-two-dimensional (2D) candidate of topological semimetal AuTe2Br. The Fermi surface of this layered compound consists of 2D-like, topological trivial electron and nontrivial hole pockets, which host a Dirac cone along the kz direction. Our transport measurements on the single crystals show highly anisotropic, compensated low-density electrons and holes, both of which exhibit ultrahigh mobility at a level of 105 cm2 V−1 s−1 at low temperature. The highly mobile, compensated carriers lead a nonsaturated, parabolic magnetoresistance as large as 3 × 105 in single-crystalline AuTe2Br in a magnetic field up to 58 T.

An extensive magnetization study in pulsed fields up to 62 T and at temperatures down to ~0.7 K has been performed on the single crystals of hexagonal manganite HoMnO3. For magnetic fields (H) applied along the c-axis, successive magnetic transitions below 10 T and a step-like transition at ~41 T are observed. The phase diagram for H//c is very complex and new phase boundaries are explored below 6 K. This phase diagram is compared with the early results derived from dielectric constant and neutron scattering measurements. For H//a, two magnetic transitions are found below 3 T dome-shaped and the phase diagram is reported for the first time. The variety of magnetic symmetries of the field-induced magnetic phases is discussed.
