Background: Owing to their clinicopathological characteristics and diverse biologic behaviors, odontogenic tumors (OT) are regarded as noteworthy among oral diseases. Aim: The intention of a retrospective analysis was to determine the prevalence and incidence of various odontogenic types of tumors using the most recent World Health Organization categorization in 2017. Materials and Methods: A 7‑year retrospective study that involved retrieving the case folders of individuals who had OT that were histologically confirmed when they first presented at Dhaka Dental College and Hospital. Demographic information about patients and histologic diagnoses were recorded. The statistical software for social sciences (SPSS version 23) was employed to analyze the data and P < 0.05 was regarded as statistically significant. Results: A total of 366 cases of OT were documented and analyzed. There was a marginally greater impact on males (51.64%) than females (48.36%). The mean age of the patients was 27.85 years, and there was no statistically significant relationship between tumor type and age group (P = 0.84). The mandible was the most common site (96.17%). The benign OT constitutes 99.18%, whereas the malignant OT constitutes 0.82%. The most common OT was ameloblastoma (82.51%), with a tendency for the posterior mandible (P < 0.05), followed by cemento‑ossifying fibroma (4.37%) and odontogenic myxoma (3.83%). Conclusions: The relative incidence of OT differs considerably by geography or race. Ameloblastoma is the most prevalent tumor, followed by cemento‑ossifying fibroma and odontogenic myxoma. Introduction: We intended to retrospectively analyze the epidemiological data and pattern of pediatric maxillofacial fractures in this article. Materials and Methods: This retrospective analysis focuses on patients under the age of 18 years who were admitted to an inpatient department with maxillofacial fractures over a 3-year time at a Bangladeshi tertiary health-care center. The following variables were assessed: gender distribution, etiology of trauma, and anatomic site of fractures. Results: The majority of the 90 patients were boys (77.78%), with an average age of 12.9 years (standard deviation, 4.51 years). The result showed a ratio of 3.5:1 between males and females. The majority of patients (56.67%) were between the ages of 13 and 18 years. There was no statistically meaningful relationship (P > 0.05) between the age of the patients and their gender. Road traffic accidents (RTAs; 75.56% of maxillofacial fractures) were the most common cause, followed by accidental falls (13.33%). Mandible fractures were the most prevalent (70%), followed by zygomaticomaxillary complex (ZMC; 14.45%) and mid-face fractures (5.55%). The parasymphysis (17.78%) and body (16.68%) of the mandible were the two most common unilateral fracture sites. Parasymphysis with angle was the most typical set of fracture sites in the mandible (7.79%). There was no statistically significant (P > 0.05) correlation between the age of the patients and the location of the maxillofacial fracture. Conclusions: In Bangladesh, RTAs were the predominant reason for pediatric maxillofacial fractures. The mandible and ZMC were the two areas that fractured most frequently in the pediatric population. Aim: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the incidence, radiological features, histological variant, and different treatment options of patients with ameloblastoma of the jaws treated at a tertiary-level hospital in Bangladesh. Materials and Methods: Age, gender, tumor location, radiologic features, histological pattern, and treatment modalities were all evaluated in this retrospective observational study. The frequency and percentages of these study variables were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: A total of 131 patients were included in this study, 66 of them were female, with a male-to-female ratio of 1:1.01. The patients had a wide age range from 4 to 70 years, a mean age (±standard deviation) of 26.61 (±13.34) years, and a significant incidence in the third decade of life. The left side of the jaws was the most frequently involved site. The mandible (n = 125, 95.42%) was the most frequently affected site, with the body–angle–ramus (n = 73, 58.5%) area being the most frequently involved location. Multilocular radiolucency was seen in most cases (n = 73, 55.73%) on radiography. The most common histological pattern (n = 71, 54.2%) was follicular. The most preferred treatment was the dredging (n = 90, 68.70%) method. The recurrence rate of the dredging treatment method was 5.56%. Conclusions: Ameloblastoma was found to be more common in patients in their third decade of life, with a wide age range. The follicular ameloblastoma was the predominant histological type, with most of them occurring in the mandible's body–angle–ramus area. Most of the patients were treated by the dredging method. Background: Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) ankylosis is a pathological condition where mandibular condyle fused the glenoid fossa of the temporal bone. It causes distressing and disabling conditions to the patient. The purpose of our study is to determine the frequency of pediatric TMJ ankylosis attending at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Dhaka Dental College and Hospital, Bangladesh. Methodology: This was a retrospective, cross-sectional study for 18 patients (9 male and 9 female) aged up to 18 years old. Data assembled from the patient's surgical records reviewed from January 2016 to December 2018. Results: Females and males were affected equally, the most affected age group was 7-12 as well as 13-18 years old (n = 7, 38.89%), bilateral ankylosis (n = 11, 61.11%) was more common than unilateral (n = 7, 38.89). Type III (34.48%) ankylosis (Sawhney's classification) was found to be the most frequent type. Trauma (n = 11, 61.10%) was the major etiologic factor for pediatric TMJ ankylosis. All patients were managed by surgical intervention. Gap arthroplasty (n = 9; 50.0%) was the most preferable treatment method followed by interpositional arthroplasty (n = 7, 38.89%) and condylectomy (n = 2, 11.11%). Conclusion: The majority of the patient was affected by trauma. Most of the patients came with Type III ankylosis with having facial deformities. Absolute and proper management regarding mandibular condylar fracture and infection (middle ear) must be required to prevent TMJ ankylosis. Surgical intervention is the only treatment option for managing TMJ ankylosis. Aggressive physiotherapy is mandatory to prevent reankylosis, thus ensuring the patient's quality of life.
