Nitrogen leaching loss in paddy fields is one of the main ways of farmland non-point source pollution. To explore the suitable fertilization of rice fields in the Erhai Lake Basin and reduce the nitrogen loss from paddy fields, a field experiment was conducted by setting single applications of chemical or organic fertilizer, combined organic and inorganic application, and single application of controlled release fertilizer under reduced nitrogen conditions. The results showed that, compared with the conventional fertilization treatment(CF), there was no significant difference in rice grain and straw yield between the single chemical fertilizer treatment(T1) and the organic-inorganic combined treatment(T3); the single organic fertilizer treatment(T2) decreased the rice grain yield by 13.0%, and decreased straw yield by 17.1%; single application of controlled-release fertilizer(T4) increased rice grain and straw yield by 15.7% and 21.0%, respectively. Further, compared with CF, the single application of chemical fertilizer(T1), organic fertilizer(T2), and organic-inorganic combined application(T3) reduced the total nitrogen leaching loss at 30 cm depths by 26.9%, 18.0%, and 33.9%, respectively. The loss of ammonia nitrogen leaching with T1, T2, and T3 decreased by 24.4%, 36.9%, and 36.6%, respectively, and the loss of nitrate nitrogen leaching decreased by 40.2%, 4.8% and 46.4%. The total nitrogen leaching at 60 cm soil depths was reduced by 34.2%, 26.3%, and 42.1%, the loss of ammonia nitrogen leaching was reduced by 31.4%, 35.7%, and 46.6%, and the loss of nitrate nitrogen leaching was reduced by 8.0%, 10.1%, and 23.9% for T1, T2, and T3, respectively. The total nitrogen loss at 30 and 60 cm depths increased by 41.6% and 14.0% in the single application of controlled release fertilizer(T4) treatment. Considering factors such as agronomic and environmental benefits of different fertilization modes, T1 and T3 are suitable environmentally friendly alternative fertilization modes.

In order to researching the microstructure of bioceramic coating on the surface medical titanium alloy (Ti–6Al–4V), the gradient bioceramic coatings are fabricated by wide-band laser cladding. The influence of multiple rare earths oxide La2O3 and CeO2 on microstructure of bioceramic coating were studied. The experimental results demonstrated that mixed La2O3 and CeO2 have an effect on forming-ability of HA\β-TCP in bioceramic coating and also refined the grain of bioceramic coatings. The largest amount of HA\β-TCP is presented among all the groups when the contents of La2O3 and CeO2 are 0.6wt.%, 0.4 wt.%, respectively.

To improve bioactivity of gradient bioceramic coating, the coating with two kinds of rare earth oxide was produced by wide band laser cladding technique. As the experimental results, whichadded0.6wt.% La2O3 fixedly, and increased the addition amount of the CeO2, when the addition of CeO2fulfill 0.4wt.%, the amount of HA-β-TCP is the largest in this experiment. Soaking the specimens in SBF for 14 days, the coating blended 0.6wt% La2O3 and 0.4wt% CeO2, then a great quantity of Ca-P white particles can be found on coating, which confirmation this bioceramic coating is of best bioactivity.

The main function of the cooling system is to help preserve the refractory lining for as long as possible, but the evaluation indicators of blast furnace cooling system have not been studied in detail. In the study, the blast furnace cooling system was analyzed in-depth from the perspective of cooling essence and heat transfer principle based on the investigation of many blast furnaces. The concept of cooling efficiency and cooling intensity of the blast furnace hearth cooling system were proposed with quantitative characterization. The results show that the cooling efficiency is 88–99% and the cooling intensity is 70–95% generally. The effect of the cooling water velocity and specific surface area on cooling efficiency and cooling intensity are analyzed from a view of optimizing the design. Improving the specific surface area of cooling system and increasing the cooling water velocity can increase the cooling efficiency and cooling intensity. The specific surface area can be designed to be more than 1.1 and the water velocity should be greater than 1.5 m/s. Finally, the blast furnace operation strategy taken in the actual production process and the methods for improving the cooling intensity and cooling efficiency are assessed.

A new type of insulation wall is developed based on waste foam glasses. Performance tests small particle size (1~10mm) foam glass block with mass ratio of 30%~50% shows that the coefficient of thermal conductivity and compressive strength of insulation block are blow 0.2w/(m.K) and above 3.10MPa, respectively. This indicates a well insulation performance and mechanical property however the density and strength are not good enough. If the large particle size (20~65mm) are used with the mass ratio of 50~80%, the density can be lower than 400kg/m3 and the coefficient of thermal conductivity and compressive strength of insulation block are 0.2w/(m.K) and 0.5MPa, respectively. This indicates a lighter weight and better insulation performance. If the 44.7% construction waste are added to the insulation walls, the compressive strength can be improved more than 90% and meet the requirement of bearing walls.

Amplified fragment length polymorphisms (AFLP) markers were developed to assess the genetic variation of populations and clones of Rhopilema esculentum Kishinouye (Scyphozoa, Rhizostomatidae). One hundred and seventy-nine loci from 56 individuals of two hatchery populations and two wild populations were genotyped with five primer combinations. The polymorphic ratio, Shannon’s diversity index and average heterozygosity were 70.3%, 0.346 and 0.228 for the white hatchery population, 74.3%, 0.313, and 0.201 for the red hatchery population, 79.3%, 0.349, and 0.224 for the Jiangsu wild population, and 74.9%, 0.328 and 0.210 for the Penglai wild population, respectively. Thus, all populations had a relatively high level of genetic diversity. A specific band was identified that could separate the white from the red hatchery population. There was 84.85% genetic differentiation within populations. Individual cluster analysis using unweighted pair-group method with arithmetic mean (UPGMA) suggested that hatchery populations and wild populations could be divided. For the hatchery populations, the white and red populations clustered separately; however, for the wild populations, Penglai and Jiangsu populations clustered together. The genetic diversity at the clone level was also determined. Our data suggest that there are relatively high genetic diversities within populations but low genetic differentiation between populations, which may be related to the long-term use of germplasm resources from Jiangsu Province for artificial seeding and releasing. These findings will benefit the artificial seeding and conservation of the germplasm resources.

The heat transfer coefficients of two foam glass exterior thermal insulation walls were tested by weather-resistant testing instrument and heat flow meter. The experimental values were compared with the theoretical values. The results show that with the temperature differences Δt>20 °C, the testing errors of two walls are smaller than 1% and 3% respectively. In view of thermal performance, testing accuracy and operability, the test program is practicable to meet the testing requirement with a temperature difference greater than 20 °C and without seasonal restrictions. In the zones without heating such as hot summer and cold winter zone, therefore, the weather-resistant testing instrument (i.e. temperature control box) and heat flow meter can be used to test the heat transfer coefficient of a wall.

Percutaneous aortic valve replacement is a promising strategy in the treatment of patients with aortic valve stenosis. And many kinds of valved stents have been implanted in selected patients worldwide. However, the clinical experience is still limited. We developed a W-model valved stent and evaluated the feasibility and safety of percutaneous implantation of the device in the native aortic valve position.A self expanding nitinol stent with W-model, containing porcine pericardium valves in its proximal part, was implanted in six sheep by means of a 14 French catheter through the right common iliac artery under guidance of fluoroscopy. During stent deployment the original aortic valve was pushed against the aortic wall by the self expanding force of the stent while the new valve was expanded. These sheep were followed up shortly after procedure with supra-aortic angiogram and left ventriculography. Additionally, one sheep was sacrificed after the procedure for anatomic evaluation.It was possible to replace the aortic valve in the beating heart in four sheep. The procedure failed in two sheep due to coronary orifice occlusion in one case and severe aortic valve regurgitation in the other case. One sheep was killed one hour after percutaneous aortic valve replacement for anatomic evaluation. There were no signs of damage of the aortic intima, or of obstruction of the coronary orifice.Percutaneous aortic valve replacement with a W-model valved stent in the beating heart is possible. Further studies are mandatory to assess safety and efficacy of this kind of valved stent in larger sample size and by longer follow-up period.

The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement in sheep up to 6 months post procedure.Fresh sheep pericardium treated with a 0.6% glutaraldehyde solution for 36 hours was sutured to a valvular ring and then fixed onto a newly designed nitinol self-expandable stent. Thoracotomy was performed in sheep (23.5 +/- 3.1) kg under general anesthesia and the device was delivered into the native pulmonary valve of the sheep via the anterior wall of right ventricle by catheter and fooled for 6 months.One sheep died 4 months after the procedure due to in-stent thrombosis. Another 4 animals survived the 6-month observing period. Angiographic and hemodynamic measurements confirmed good positioning and function of the stents with a competent valve immediately post procedure and 6 months post the procedure in surviving animals.Implantation of the nitinol self-expandable stent in the pulmonary valve position by a transcatheter approach is feasible and good function of transcatheter implanted memory nitinol valved stents was shown after 6 months of implantation in sheep.
