The main concern for the limited practical applications of strain-hardening cementitious composite, especially in China, is the high cost of imported materials, mainly polyvinyl alcohol fibers. This study uses local ingredients to develop strain-hardening cementitious composite reinforced with non-oil-coated Chinese polyvinyl alcohol fiber. The cementitious matrix consisting of cement, fly ash, viscosity-modifying agent, and silica fume was prepared, and the matrix tailoring was performed to achieve improved mechanical performance. The prepared composites were evaluated by rheology, three-point bending, and tensile characterizations. It is found that with the given local ingredients and matrix modification, the toughness index value of 100 ( I40) according to the American Society for Testing and Materials can be achieved. Besides, the tensile results showed the improvement of 45% and 60% for first-cracking strength and peak tensile strength values, respectively. The effects of matrix modification are also analyzed statistically using the analysis of variance for the mechanical properties of the cementitious composite. The post hoc statistical analysis using the Tukey–Kramer honestly significant difference illustrated the optimum cementitious mix from the experimental data. The presented results of cost-effective strain-hardening cementitious composite are expected to promote the practical applications of strain-hardening cementitious composite in China.

Since textile waste recycling is a global challenge, there is an emerging need to explore this research direction due to the little knowledge about textile recycling. This study aimed to study the property of yarns produced from recycled textile/cotton fiber blends for proportion optimization and to check whether they can be used for denim fabric production. The properties of recycled fiber and virgin cotton spun on open-end having 4.5 Ne were investigated with fiber proportions of 20/80, 25/75, 30/70, 35/65, 40/60, 45/55, and 50/50. The results were analyzed with Design-Expert software, using central composite design to optimize the proportion. The 40/60 proportion had the optimum result, and by using this optimized proportion, 10 Ne yarn was produced and used for denim fabric production. The sample denim fabric produced used recycled yarn as a weft, showing that the recycled fiber turned yarn can be used in manufacturing products such as denim. The physical properties of the denim fabric confirmed that the recycled goods have wearable quality. Since this research can be applied on an industrial scale, it would benefit textile academia, industry, the environment, and society.

In this study, cellulose films were prepared from Ficus natalensis bark cloth fibers via phase inversion technique using NaOH/urea/water as the solvent. Films were formed at a concentration of 7 wt. % and 8 wt. % of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) as isolated from Ficus natalensis bark cloth fibers. Their morphology, physiochemical, and mechanical properties were examined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform IR spectroscopy (FTIR), x-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) and microcontrolled electronic universal testing machine. The resultant regenerated cellulose (RC) films exhibited rough surfaces morphologically, good tensile strength (19.85 ± 0.13 MPa), exhibited a plastic behavior with considerable strains. However, they are thermally stable at higher temperatures up to 280 °C. Cellulose films from this study could potentially act as biodegradable packaging materials to upgrade the scope of application of Ficus natalensis bark

Under the Chinese strategy of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, Enterprises’ Environmental Information Disclosure (EEID), as one of the important ways for enterprises to achieve low-carbon development, has gained increased attention from the government, media, investors, and other stakeholders. the EEID is not only an important tool for companies to communicate environmental performance to the outside world, but also an effective way for the government to monitor corporate pollution behavior. Its importance is self-evident. However, relevant research shows that 70% of Chinese listed companies had not implemented the EEID in 2020. Also, there are common problems in the disclosure content and the polarization of the disclosure level among the companies that do disclose. These problems weaken the objectivity and practicability of the EEID and have a negative impact on the government’s environmental supervision, the environmental protection demands of the public, and investors’ decision making. This paper takes listed companies in China’s A-share heavily polluting industries as the research sample to solve the optimization problem of the EEID. By adopting a fixed effects model (FEM), this paper empirically studies the impact of three public pressures on the EEID: government environmental regulation, media attention, and institutional investment preference. Based on China’s unique socialist market economic system, this paper innovatively uses environmental policy uncertainty as a moderator variable. This paper examines the limitations of theoretical research on public pressure and environmental information disclosure by studying the impact of local environmental leadership change on the relationship between public pressure and the EEID. The conclusions of this paper reveal the driving mechanism of how stakeholders such as government, media, and institutional investors influence the EEID. At the same time, it expands the application of public pressure theory in environmental information disclosure research by introducing the perspective of environmental policy uncertainty.

The present research aimed to explore the influence of different felt-proofing methods on alpaca fibers’ scale structure. Dyed alpaca fibers were exposed to a particular wavelength of ultraviolet (UV) light for different periods and treated with protease to analyze the felt property and compare with untreated fibers. Experimental results have shown that alpaca fibers have better shrinkage resistance and dyeability after being exposed to UV light, whereas no recognizable change was obtained on the surface of alpaca fibers’ scale structure by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In contrary, enzyme-treated alpaca fibers revealed improved dye rate and resistance to shrinkage. Especially, damaged scales on many areas of fiber surface were appeared by SEM, which indicates that UV may have a positive effect on enzyme treatment by damaging alpaca fibers’ surface structure and promoting the amount of protease going into the fibers’ inner layers. Therefore, eventually a better shrinkage resistance was obtained.

The aim of this paper is to study a sustainable approach of recycling different fibre waste for the mélange yarn industry and to suggest a sustainable strategy of mixing dyed fibre waste for use by yarn supply chain engineers. Fibre waste was added to a Blow room or draw frame and compared in terms of properties. It was found that the mechanical properties of cotton mélange yarn manufactured by adding waste are suitable to be marketed. Various qualitative parameters such as the spun length, tenacity, elongation %, short fibre index (SFI), yarn evenness analysis, nep count analysis and waste assessment were discussed and compared in both kinds of mixing strategies i.e. mixing in the form of flocks in a blow room and in the form of slivers on a draw frame; as followed by the Mélange yarn Industry. The effect of increasing the number of passages on yarn quality was also analysed.

Objectives: To assess the Nutritional Status by measuring Body Mass Index and screening of School going children of Khairpur Mirus Sindh. Study Design: Cross Sectional Descriptive Study. Setting: Department of Pediatrics, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro. Period: From 1st May to 31st May 2015. Material & Methods: Over 2400 children (age 5 to 18 years) studying at schools of Taluka Khairpur Mirus, Sindh. We conducted this study at 40 schools, both from government and private sector. Schools included Primary, Secondary, High and Higher Secondary Schools. Medical History was taken and detailed physical examination done, including Cardiovascular Examination, Eye and Abdominal Examination. History of presence of worms in stool was taken from children. Anemia was checked by palmer inspection. Weight and height was taken by well-trained doctors and paramedical staffs with the help of weight machine and stadiometer. Results: Out of total 2400 children 43.4% were male and 56.6% were female. Mean BMI was 15.97, while mean weight was 30.93 kg and mean height was 136.92 cm. Among 730 children, who were underweight, 54.5% children were mild underweight, while 29.7% children were moderate underweight and 15.7% children were severe underweight. 6% children were overweight, while 4% children were obese. Anemia was present in 63.04% children, Eye Squint was present in 3.1% children, worms infestations were present in 0.2% children and murmur was detected in 0.1% children. Conclusion: We found significant number of children having low BMI (30.4%) and the Mean BMI was 15.97. We also found significant number of children having underweight that is 54.5% children were mild underweight, while 29.7% children were moderate underweight and 15.7% children were severe underweight. On the other hand, overweight and obesity was less common, 6% children were overweight, while 4% children were obese. During Screening, Anemia was (63.04%) and Eye Squint (3.1%) was the most common clinical findings.

Generally, comprehensive documents are needed to provide the research community with relevant details of any research direction. This study conducted the first descriptive bibliometric analysis to examine the most influential journals, institutions, and countries in the field of artificial intelligence in textiles. Furthermore, bibliometric mapping analysis was also used to examine diverse research topics of artificial intelligence in textiles. VOSviewer was used to process 996 articles retrieved from Web of Science—Core Collection from 2007 to 2020. The results show that China and the United States have the largest number of publications, while Donghua University and Jiangnan University have the highest output. These three themes have also appeared in textile artificial intelligence publications and played a significant role in the textile structure, textile inspection, and textile clothing production. The authors believe that this research will unfold new research domains for researchers in computer science, electronics, material science, imaging science, and optics and will benefit academic and industrial circles.

Epoxy resins, as a typical class of thermosetting polymers, have widespread industrial applications such as adhesives, coatings, electronic encapsulants, and polymer matrices for advanced composites, owing to their excellent mechanical performance, adhesive capacity, dimensional stability, heat, and chemical resistance. However, conventional epoxy resins cannot be reprocessed, repaired, or recycled due to their permanent crosslinked structures, making it a long-standing challenge to process and recycle the ever-increasing epoxy and epoxy-based composite similar to thermoplastics. Therefore, both economic and environmental factors are driving the development of reformable and recyclable epoxy resins. In this paper, various such epoxy vitrimers containing dynamic covalent bonds are reviewed. Future potentials of these epoxy vitrimers are also discussed.

Brand image has been a crucial clue to making subjective judgment for consumers to determine the brand, which is critical to making a purchase decision. The influence mechanism from apparel brand images on consumers’ purchase intention was explored for theoretical and positive analysis based on the self-congruity theory. This research first constructed a hypothetical model of apparel brand images influencing consumers’ purchase intention with self-congruity and perceived quality as mediators, in which a questionnaire was designed and conducted to test the theoretical model. The research shows that apparel brand image and perceived quality can significantly influence consumers’ purchase intention. The consumer purchase intention is directly related to clothing brand image provided self-consistency and perceived quality play an intermediary with the regulatory effect of self-motivation and brand familiarity. A positive attitude toward apparel brand image will stimulate consumers to build cognitive clues and associations between the consumers and the brand and strengthen cognitive consistency with the apparel brand’s spirit. The research results are beneficial to textile fashion and clothing enterprises to improve brand building and marketing.

It is of great importance to develop epoxy vitrimers with the combination of high performance and versatile recyclability. Herein, two imine-containing hardeners were synthesized from bio-based vanillin and petroleum-based p-hydroxy benzaldehyde. The epoxy resins cured by these two hardeners show high Tg (>120 °C), tensile strength (>60 MPa), Young’s modulus (>2500 MPa), and good solvent resistance. Owing to the incorporation of imine dynamic covalent bond, the cured epoxy resins are reprocessable and degradable. Notably, the chemical degradation products can be reused to prepare new epoxy resins, thus achieving a closed-loop recycling process. Both the reprocessed and chemically recycled epoxy resins exhibit high-percentage retention of thermal and mechanical properties. Finally, this study demonstrates that the epoxy resin cured by the vanillin-based hardener shows comparable thermal, mechanical, and recycling properties compared with the epoxy resin cured by the petroleum-based counterpart.

The durability of the notch and un-notch composites is mainly affected by environmental ageing, the condition of mechanical loading and mechanical ageing. Due to the dissimilarity of two components of fibre mat-reinforced thermosetting composites (e.g. fibre and resin), thermal stress and strain can be generated and raised by moisture, temperature variation, thermal ageing and mechanical ageing in any working environment. This study aims at investigating the effect of thermal ageing fatigue and mechanical ageing fatigue on the mechanical durability and notch sensitivity properties of glass fibre mat unsaturated polyester resin composites and kenaf fibre mat/unsaturated polyester composites. Tensile tests of smooth and notched specimens, low cycle tensile fatigue tests, dynamic mechanical analysis, stress distribution by point-stress failure criteria and notch sensitivity analysis were performed to both types of the specimens. Both composites were previously taken under up to 100 number of freeze-thaw ageing cycles (from −25 to + 58℃). It is found that the tensile modulus and un-notched strength of kenaf fibre mat/unsaturated polyester were decreased by 30 and 27%, respectively, which was more severe than that of glass fibre mat/unsaturated polyester composites. After the thermal ageing, notch (open hole) did not diminish the strength property of kenaf fibre mat/unsaturated polyester, and there was an absolute increase of characteristic distance (d0) which indicates the lower notch sensitivity of kenaf fibre mat/unsaturated polyester. Although glass fibre mat/unsaturated polyester had superior mechanical properties, after thermal ageing, while kenaf fibre mat/unsaturated polyester presented stable low cycle fatigue property, better energy absorption and notch sensitivity properties.

Scientists worldwide are always interested in making new discoveries; thus, the scientific literature has been growing exponentially. Keeping abreast of the body of literature at a rapidly advancing pace poses significant challenges to active researchers and society. Although numerous data resources have been made openly available, effectively navigating the vast amount of information with heightened levels of uncertainty remains a significant bottleneck. Here, we searched and analyzed the literature regarding antibacterial treatments in the textile industry. The Web of Science, the most extensive database for scientific literature, was targeted to extract the data. We extracted the raw data from the Web of Science Core Collection. The documents were published from 1998 to 2022, from a total of 878 sources. A total of 3625 documents were found, 2898 of which were articles. A total of 11,192 authors contributed to the topic during this period. We used the Bibliometrix sub-tool Biblioshiny and extracted the basic information about the documents. With an annual growth rate of 26.27%, there was a boost in the literature during the period under study.

The paper aims to identify characteristics of the driving force of the domestic handloom textile industry of Sri Lanka. A qualitative data analysis methodology was chosen for the research. Data were gathered from observational studies and semi-structured interviews. The observational study was carried out in museum collections, scholarly written books, and research journal articles. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with weavers, designers, technical instructors, and administrative officers. Data were analyzed according to observational study, coding, and concept development. Identified characteristics are interlinked with inherited craft knowledge, Buddhist culture, and the networks of people who live and work in a particular industrial society. The industry is developed through hands-on experience and prolonged engagement, where human resources are the key factor. The research scrutinized seven concepts related to the sustainable survival of the weaving structures. Learning is the direct enforcer. The infrastructure is supplied by the Textile Department. The research suggests recognition of a consistent infrastructure supply chain as national policy. The paper recommends to policymakers with the factors found to connect culture with an active action plan.

Aiming at the problems of pollution and waste in the clothing industry, the concept of the green innovation of clothing brands is put forward here and analyzed in terms of five dimensions: green product innovation, green technology innovation, green image innovation, green service innovation, and marketing green innovation. Based on the theory of perceived value, in this study we analyzed the mechanism of clothing brand green innovation with regard to consumers’ purchase intention and, on this basis, investigated the mediating role of perceived value and the moderating role of consumer innovation. Simultaneously, we designed a measurement scale for clothing brand green innovation and used the structural equation model to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that clothing brand green innovation can effectively promote green purchase intention and behavior, that consumers produce purchase intention and behavior through the perception of novelty, usefulness, and greenness, and that highly innovative consumers are more likely to perceive novelty and are more willing to buy. This study provides new ideas and references for clothing brand green innovation.

Contest between the international or national enterprises stimulates the formation of innovative or improved products or of well-organized processes. Nevertheless, reliance on carbon-based materials and energy emission sources has been highlighted as a primary problem of the 21st century. The current study examines the influence of carbon disclosure information (CDI), media reporting and financial influence on state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and non-state-owned enterprises (NSOEs) by using Shenzhen and Shanghai&rsquo, s heavy polluting listed industries&rsquo, dataset from 2014 to 2019. By applying different data approaches, the estimated results demonstrate that the CDI level is significantly negative related to SOE compared to NSOE. The estimated results explain that media&rsquo, s positive reporting offsets the additional benefits to stakeholders. While media&rsquo, s negative reporting negatively influences a firm&rsquo, s competitive position, it mitigates the stock price and its social value. Our results suggest that external factors are encouraging for the financial values of stakeholders, along with those of enterprises.

Oil&ndash, water separation is among the critical issues worldwide due to recent massive oil spills. Moreover, domestic and industrial water pollution due to oil discharge affects marine and aquatic life. Cotton is the most predominant fiber globally because of its use as a principal and popular clothing material. Cotton is also the leading raw material for technical and functional textile applications. In this study, the fabric was cured with poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanoparticles to develop hydrophobic and oleophilic cotton fabrics. The dehydrating agents, N,N&prime, dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) and dimethyl aminopyridine (DMAP), were used to catalyze the esterification. The results proved that the excellent hydrophobicity of modified cotton fabric provides a water contact angle higher than 140&deg, In addition, Fourier transforms infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, as well as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis, confirmed the fabric surface modification. Surface morphological analysis by scanning electron microscope (SEM) revealed the uniform rough surface structure of the modified fabric with nano-coating. The modified fabric resulted in the high separation efficiency of oil and water, suggesting this strategy to be suitable for advanced oil&ndash, water separation.

The effect of fiber-resin interfacial structures (especially three-dimensional (3D) structures) on the delamination resistance of L-shaped beam composites was investigated via hinged loading tensile tests. Four types of structures were woven, and the corresponding reinforced epoxy composites were manufactured through a vacuum-assisted resin infusion (VARI) process. The results revealed that the two-dimensional (2D) laminate and 3D shallow-straight woven composite (3DSSWC) had the similar interlaminar strength and failed via delamination. However, compared with the resistance of these composites, a significantly higher delamination resistance was realized for a 3D orthogonal woven composite (3DOWC) and a 3D shallow-bend woven composite (3DSBWC). This high resistance resulted from the reinforcing fibers (i.e., Z-yarns) in the Z-direction and the considerable yarn waviness of the 3DOWC and the 3DSBWC, respectively. The failure mode of 3DOWC was characterized by interlayer delamination and Z-yarn or weft yarn breakage. Moreover, the failure mode of 3DSBWC was dominated by delamination and weft yarn breakage. Therefore, the 3D orthogonal (3DOW) and 3D shallow-bend (3DSBW) woven structures were quite effective in resisting delamination and, of the structures considered, the 3DSBW structure yielded the best L-shaped beam composite.

The thermal properties and morphological characterisation of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) homopolymer and its blends with low molecular low modulus polypropylene (LMPP) were studied. Firstly blends were prepared with variant LMPP contents, and their properties were characterised using SEM, DSC, XRD, and DMA. Later the mechanical properties of iPP/LMPP blend fibres were investigated. SEM results showed that the iPP/LMPP blends produced smoother surfaces when the LMPP content was increased, as well as the miscibility. All the Tg values with different LMPP percentages were in-between pure iPP and LMPP. The XRD results indicated the LMPP percentage decreased along with the degree of crystallinity of the iPP/LMPP blends (5% to 15%), which increased and then decreased as compared to pure iPP. The elongation at break increased when the LMPP content increased, with the maximum breaking elongation of the LMPP 25% blend reaching 12.95%, which showed great stretch-ability, whereas the elastic modulus of iPP/LMPP blends decreased.

Vitrimers have covalent crosslink structures as normal thermoset polymers, but they possess unique properties of being able to go through plastic deformation due to their crosslinks being dynamically exchangeable above a particular temperature. This new type of polymers is getting increased attention owing to their reprocessing, remolding, and recycling properties, along with the thermoset characteristics. As a thermoset, the materials’ degree of crosslinking, namely crosslink density, is essential to their physical and mechanical properties. Herein, a series of dynamic epoxy crosslinking networks with different crosslink densities were prepared by changing the ratio of two epoxies N,N-diglycidyl-4-glycidyloxyaniline, and butanediol diglycidyl ether but keeping the same stoichiometric ratios when cured with a hardener synthesized from bio-based lignin-derived vanillin. The reaction enthalpy (ΔH) and glass transition temperature (Tg) were shown to decrease with decreasing crosslink density. The dynamic behavior of the resins was attributed to the dynamically exchangeable imine bonds brought in by the curing agent. The dynamic properties under various temperatures were analyzed to determine the activation energy for bond exchange (Ea) and relaxation times (τ). The results revealed that the resin with the highest crosslink density showed the highest τ as well as the highest Ea. The resins with higher crosslink density showed higher mechanical and thermal properties but lower strength retention efficiency (SRE). This study provides important insights into understanding the properties of this bio-based epoxy vitrimer.

Lightweight and flexible electronics are gaining popularity, especially in wearable technologies, because they allow a safe, healthy, and comfortable life. Cotton materials are among the most attractive substrates, given that they are inexpensive, environmentally benign, light, accessible, and processable. Incorporation of conductive materials onto cotton textiles modifies their surface chemistry by allowing free movement of electrons and other atomic species like radicals in metallic and non-metallic nanoparticles, delocalization of π-electrons with high mobility owed to the continuous overlap of π-orbitals along the backbone of conductive polymers, and free transfer of charges. On the addition to a large surface area and enhanced mechanical strength of the substrate, the conductive cotton textiles can provide chemical applications such as electrical and thermal conductivity, energy storage, sensitivity, EMI shielding, catalysis, and redox detoxification of certain pollutant chemicals in the environment. This chapter, therefore, discusses the various chemical and multi-advanced applications of modified cotton textiles, highlighting the research advancements, the active materials, and imparting techniques used.

Quality cotton fiber is vital to produce quality yarn and, subsequently, better-quality fabrics. As per data provided by USDA for the year 2020/21 world cotton production is expected at 117 million bales (1 bale = 220 kg). The variability in the quality of cotton is dominated due to environmental conditions and depends on the area of cultivation. To produce the best quality yarn and uniform fabrics, we need to measure and control each quality parameter of cotton fiber. Uster Switzerland is one of the leaders in testing cotton fiber characteristics through its state-of-the-art HVI and AFIS fiber testing equipment. Understanding cotton fiber characteristics and their relationships with yarn and fabric quality are essential to produce good quality textiles. In this chapter, the main quality parameters of cotton fiber, along with its basic testing principles, have been discussed. Cotton fiber quality is determined by various parameters such as maturity, fineness, micronaire (mic), length, strength, length uniformity. The market value of cotton is determined according to these parameters. Fibers with better quality will produce better yarn. Nowadays, the High Volume Instrument (HVI) and Advanced Fiber Information System (AFIS) are the two main instruments used to measure cotton fiber quality. HVI measures micronaire, Upper Half Mean Length (UHML), strength, elongation, color, and trash, while, AFIS measures maturity, fineness, length, neps, short fiber content, immature fibers, and trash.

Textiles are among the paramount universally used fabrics in homes and industries. However, the acquisition of scalable and eco-friendly multi-functional fabrics of high durability presents as an obstacle challenging their commercialization. The surface modification of textile fabrics, such as cotton, to integrate multiple operates has been recently researched as the primary solution. Cotton is part of the topmost omnipresent and expansively used fabric owed to its inexpensiveness, obtainability, breathability, and biodegradability. It is also a hydrophilic cellulose-based fiber with negatively charged hydroxyl functional groups that can be easily modified with different polymers or small chemical agents for advanced applications. In this chapter, therefore, we shall deeply describe the cotton structure, and highlight the different reaction mechanisms and techniques applied for modification of cotton fibers and fabrics, using various modification agents for diverse applications.

Cotton is the most important and widespread natural textile fiber in the world. Across 75 countries, the production of cotton crops provides income for more than 250 million people. Approximately half of all textile products are made of cotton in the form of apparel, home textiles, and industrial products. As all agriculture crops, cotton is also dependent on the climate conditions, soil quality, and water in which it is cultivated. All of these factors contribute to the diversity of cotton fiber properties. This chapter covers a wide range of essential segments related to cotton production, its structure, and different quality parameters. Best management practices result in better yield and quality of cotton fiber. This chapter also covers the important aspects of BMPs for cotton fiber cultivation. BCI, the better cotton initiative, is also one of the initiatives to make better sustainable cotton production. To enhance biodiversity and to maintain biological cycles, organic cotton can play an important role. This category of the cotton crop is produced with non-genetically modified plants, and by avoiding the use of any fertilizers or pesticides during its production. Keeping in mind its pivotal role, this chapter has also included the latest advancements in organic cotton.

Microbes, such as bacteria and fungi that attach or enter into human bodies through either wounds or natural openings, and disease-spreading insects such as mosquitoes, usually are present in our living environment. These can be hazardous to our health if the human environment, especially those comprising of textile materials, is kept unhygienic. With the current public awareness of environmental sanitation for good health, there has been an increasing demand for disinfected, hygienic, clean, easy-care, comfortable, and protective cotton textiles. These have been studied through the incorporation of synthetic and natural agents onto cotton materials, to provide advanced biological functions such as antimicrobial activity, wound healing, insecticidal potential. This chapter, therefore, reports the current state-of-art for modification of cotton fabrics for advanced biological applications. It also highlights the developments in the biocidal agents, incorporation mechanisms and imparting techniques, the treated bugs, quality, and effectiveness of the obtained products. The article is devoted to the development of a mathematical model for the analysis of functioning interferonogenic supply chain of textile products. A mathematical model and method of analysis of the functioning of an integrated supply chain of textile products are proposed. A mathematical model contributing to cost reduction in the supply chain of textile products is recommended. The results show that the mathematical model of optimization of placement textile enterprises promotes the decrease of the expenses in the supply chain. The designated model will not only be helpful for managers and enterprises related to textiles, but also for other fields dealing with logistics and supply chains in planning and organization of transport processes.

In recent decades, natural-fiber-reinforced poly (lactic acid) (PLA) composites have received a great deal of attention. In this study, biocomposites of poly (lactic acid) and abutilon fibers are prepared by using melt blending and an extruder. The effects of fiber additions on rheological, thermomechanical, thermal, and morphological properties are investigated using a rheometer, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), TGA, and SEM, respectively. The DSC results indicate that the fibers acted as a nucleating agent, which led to enhancing the crystallization of PLA. The results also reveal that the thermal stability of PLA was improved by abutilon fibers. Moreover, higher values of storage modulus are observed, which are attributed to strong interfacial adhesion. In addition, thetan delta isreduced upon the addition of fiber content into the PLA matrix, which restricts the mobility of PLA polymer molecules in the presence of the fibers. The improvement of the properties and energy absorption capabilities of such biocomposites signifies the great potential of abutilon fibers as reinforcement in green composites.
