Numerous studies have shown that the choice of measurement strategy (number and position of measurement points) when measuring form error on a coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) depends on the characteristics of the machining process which was used to machine the examined surface. The accuracy of form error assessment is the primary goal of verification procedures and accuracy is considered perfect only in the case of the ideal verification operator. Since the ideal verification operator in the “point-by-point” measuring mode is almost never used in practice, the aim of this study was to examine a relationship which had not been examined in earlier studies, namely how the machining process, surface roughness and a reduced number of points in the measurement strategy affect the accuracy of flatness error assessment. The research included four most common cutting processes applied to flat surfaces divided into nine different classes of roughness. In order to determine functional dependency between the observed input variables and the output, statistical regression models and neuro-fuzzy logic (artificial intelligence tool) were used. The analyses confirmed the significance of all three input parameters, with surface roughness being the most significant one. Both the statistical regression models and neuro-fuzzy models proved to be adequate, matching the experimental results. The use of these models makes it possible to determine flatness error measured on a CMM if input variables considered in the paper are known.

- Abstract
The aim of this paper is to examine the metrological characteristics of some of the most commonly used coordinate measurement systems in industry in a case study of the flatness error. The accuracy and measurement uncertainty of the coordinate measuring machine with contact probe, point by point mode and scanning mode, and with non - contact probe, then performance measuring arm, optical scanner and finally industrial computed tomography were analyzed. In order to exclude factors that affect the accuracy of measurement and measurement uncertainty, and are not part of the hardware structure of the CMS, the experiment was conducted on a reference workpiece and an independent software solution was used to estimate the error of flatness. The accuracy of measuring systems was determined as the difference between the reference value and the mean value of repeated measurements and the measurement uncertainty was determined according to the instructions for estimating the measurement uncertainty GUM. The results of the research showed high metrological performance of the coordinate measuring machine and the optical scanner for this measuring task. Also, it was found that industrial computed tomography gives a very large measurement error and that the measurement uncertainty is very difficult to determine.

Background/Aim: Dental impressions present a negative imprint of intraoral tissues of a patient which is, by pouring in gypsum, transferred extraorally on the working cast. Casting an accurate and precise working cast presents the first and very important step, since each of the following stages contributes to the overall error of the production process, which can lead to inadequately fitting dental restorations. The aim of this study was to promote and test a new model and technique for in vitro evaluation of the dental impression accuracy, as well as to asses the dimensional stability of impression material depending on the material bulk, and its effect on the accuracy of working casts. Methods. Impressions were made by the monophasic technique using the experimental master model. Custom trays with spacing of 1, 2 and 3 mm were constructed by rapid prototyping. The overall of 10 impressions were made with each custom tray. Working casts were made with gypsum type IV. Measurement of working casts was done 24 h later using a co-ordinate measuring machine. Results. The obtained results show that the working casts of all the three custom trays were in most cases significantly different in the transversal and sagittal planes in relation to the master model. The height of abutments was mainly unaffected. The degree of convergence showed certain significance in all the three custom trays, most pronounced in the tray with 3 mm spacing. Conclusion. The impression material bulk of 1–3 mm could provide accurate working casts when using the monophasic impression technique. The increase of the distance between abutment teeth influences the accuracy of working casts depending on the material bulk. [Projekat Ministarstva nauke Republike Srbije, br. granitni sto, koincidenc libela, koordinatna merna mašina, ravnost - Abstract

In order to estimate the accuracy of coordinate measuring machines (CMM), the recommendations of the ISO 10360-2 standard is to use gauge blocks, but other reference (calibration) gauges can be used. Besides the accuracy estimation, in this way the metrological traceability of current measuring systems is maintained and measurement uncertainty is determined, but only for these measurement tasks. Due to the complex hardware, the accuracy of these measuring systems varies from the orientation and length of the calibrated gauges. This paper presents a ball bar that is used as a reference gauge and CMM that is used for analyzing the influence of number of points for defining the center of the balls. In order to test the significance of parameters, complete design of experiment (DOE) factors were used. Also, the measurement uncertainty of CMM was estimated using the ISO 15530-3 guidelines for comparing measurement errors that are considered, for this measuring task, and the associated measurement uncertainty.

- Abstract
Pored toga, rezultati eksperimentalnog ispitivanja procesa sagorevanja ukazuju da se otpadna transformatorska i motorna ulja i njihove mešavine sa dizelom mogu koristiti kao gorivo u generatorima toplote male snage i u raznim granama procesne industrije, te mogu smanjiti probleme u vezi sa zaštitom životne sredine., The doctoral thesis cover the testing of revitalization, combustion parameters and emissions of waste transformer and motor oils, as well as their diesel mixtures. The experimental results obtained indicate that after the revitalization treatment, the insulating properties of the transformer oil are significantly improved, which is very important for the safe operation of transformer, environmental protection and work environment. In addition, the results of an experimental test of the combustion process indicate that waste transformer and motor oils and their mixtures with diesel can be used as fuel in low power heat generators and in various branches of the process industry, and can reduce environmental issues.

Verifikacija primene sintetičkih slika i njihovih svetlosnih tekstura sa aspekta geometrijske i dimenzione tačnosti je realizovana primenom računarom podržane inspekcije (CAD inspekcije)., The creation of 3D models and their visualization have become an integral part of the process of developing new or redesigning existing products. In this research, attention was paid to solving the problem of 3D digitization in close-range photogrammetry based on the structure from motion on surfaces without characteristic features by designing synthetically generated images in the form of light textures. An accent is placed on the generation of new synthetic images that have a pronounced visual texture, their evaluation, and application on objects with monotonous visual surfaces with the aim of raising the overall accuracy of reconstructed 3D models. - Abstract
Aksenat je stavljen na primeni ove hibridne metode radi dobijanja tačnijih rezultata segmentacije, što direktno utiče i na rekonstrukciju dimenzionalno tačnijih 3D modela., Computed tomography (CT) has recently entered a large door with the development of industrial CT systems, due to its application in many different areas, and it is already entering the field of coordinate metrology. Due to its ability to non-destructively characterize objects made of different materials (typicaly metals and plastics), a certain problem arises in the form of artefacts that are present in the results. Research carried out in this dissertation deals with the problem of reducing the impact of these artefacts and the 2D image segmentation. A new model was developed based on the application of the hybrid method where a combination of two methods for image processing was performed, which are fuzzy clustering and region growing. The accent is emphasized in the application of this hybrid method in order to obtain more accurate segmentation results, which directly affects the reconstruction of dimensionally more accurate 3D models.

- Abstract
This research aims to determine the influence of heat and printing substrate type on the colorimetric properties of the thermochromic ink printed on various textile materials while subjected to heating simulating realistic conditions of usage. The results of the research can be used as a recommendations for the development of a smart temperature indicators for textile packaging. Four specific groups of textile materials were used as printing substrates and magenta leuco thermochromic water-based screen printing ink (activation temperature 31°C) in order to analize resulting colorimetric properties. Experiment based on analysis of resulting color differences confirmed that the screen thread count influences the rate of the material color change. Namely, the higher the thread count the faster the color change i.e. the sample returns faster from the discolored to the colored state. It was also confirmed that the lower the fabric weight of the material is, the sample returns faster from discolored to the colored state. In addition, this article presents a comparison of the contact and contactless method of sample heating at the same temperature. It was shown that the samples were cooled slower and consequently changed the colorimetric values after the contact method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Korištene prirodom-inspirisane metode modelovanja i optimizacije su: genetski algoritam–GA, sivi vuk optimizer–GWO i nedominantno sortirajući genetski algoritam II–NSGA II. Dobijeni pouzdani matematički modeli izlaznih performansi procesa obrade i optimalni ulazni parametri obrade, potvrđuju opravdanost primene svih navedenih metoda u procesu glodanja vretenastim loptastim glodalima tvrdih (kaljenih) čelika. Posebno treba izdvojiti rezultate dobijene pomoću metode sivi vuk optimizer–GWO. Ova prirodom-inspirisana metoda je potpuno nova metoda i do sada nije bilo literaturnih informacija o mogućnostima njene primene u procesima obrade rezanjem., The ball end milling process of hard (hardened) steel, is usually applied in the finishing operations of machining comlex surfaces. Modeling of this process and optimization of its parameters are very important as an aid to understanding the processes and to solve practical problems. Several classic and nature-inspired methods were used for modeling of the output process performances and finding the optimal values of input parameters. From traditional methods of modeling and optimization Response Surface Methodology-RSM, Taguchi method and Taguchi method with Gray Relational Analysis, and nature-inspired methods of modeling and optimization Genetic Algorithm-GA, Gray Wolf Optimizer-GWO and Nondominant Sorting Genetic Algorithm II- NSGA-II, were applied in the paper. Reliable mathematical models of the output process performances and the optimal input parameters, confirm the validity of the application of these methods in the process of ball end milling hard (hardened) steel. The results obtained by the method of the Gray Wolf Optimizer-GWO should be particulary noted. This nature-inspired method is quite a new method, and so far there was no literature information on the possibilities of its application in the cutting processes.

- Abstract
Background/Aim. Dental impressions present a negative imprint of intraoral tissues of a patient which is, by pouring in gypsum, transferred extraorally on the working cast. Measurement of working casts was done 24 h later using a coordinate measuring machine. Conclusion. The impression material bulk of 1-3 mm could provide accurate working casts when using the monophasic impression technique. The increase of the distance between abutment teeth influences the accuracy of working casts depending on the material bulk., Uvod/Cilj.

- Abstract
Introduction: Traumatology of the maxillofacial region represents a wide range of different types of facial skeletal injuries and encompasses numerous treatment methods. Application of computer-aided design (CAD) in combination with rapid prototyping (RP) technologies and three-dimensional computed tomography techniques facilitates surgical therapy planning for efficient treatment. Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the efficiency of individually designed implants of poly-DL-lactide (PDLLA) in the reconstruction of blowout fractures of the orbital floor. Methods: In the course of a surgical treatment, individually designed implants manufactured by CAD/RP technologies were used. Preoperative analysis and postoperative monitoring were conducted to evaluate the successfulness of orbital floor reconstruction using customized PDLLA implants, based on: presence of diplopia, paresthesia of infraorbital nerve, and presence of enophthalmos. Results: In 6 of the 10 patients, diplopia completely disappeared immediately after surgical procedure. Diplopia gradually disappeared after 1 month in 3 patients, whereas in 1, it remained even after 6 months. In 7 patients, paresthesia disappeared within a month after surgery and in 3 patients within 2 months. Postoperative average Orbital volume (OV) of the injured side (13.333 +/- 3.177) was significantly reduced in comparison with preoperative OV (15.847 +/- 3.361) after reconstruction of the orbital floor with customized PDLLA implant (P lt 0.001). Thus, average OV of corrected orbit was not different compared with the OV of the uninjured orbit (P = 0.981). Conclusions: Reconstruction of blowout fractures of the orbital floor by an individually designed PDLLA implant combined with virtual preoperative modeling allows easier preoperative preparation and yields satisfactory functional and esthetic outcomes.

- Abstract
Assessing financial losses on an annual scale, it was determined that the world economy loses about 2.2 trillion US dollars as a result of the corrosion of materials. The most significant losses are caused by the corrosion of metals. Against corrosion, metals can be protected in several ways: by cathodic protection or anodic protection, by the use of inhibitors, or by using various protective coatings that can be metallic, non-metallic, organic or inorganic. In this paper, the possibility of the corrosion protection of copper was investigated in acidic media using inhibitors. The inhibitor properties of 5-(4'-dimetylamino- benzylidene)-2,4-dioxotetrahydro-1,3-thiazole, (DABDT) were tested on copper corrosion in an acidic sulphate-containing solution (0.1 mol dmsup{-3} Na2SO4, pH =3). Using potentiostatic polarization measurements, the inhibitor efficiency of DABDT as a function of concentration was determined and the mechanism of its adsorption on the copper surface was defined. It was found that the DABDT thiazole derivative acts as mixed inhibitor on copper corrosion in acidic media. In the investigation range, increasing the concentration results in a better inhibition efficiency of the DABDT. Najpomembnejše izgube so povzročene s korozijo kovin.

- Abstract
A workpiece material and its mechanical properties, chemical composition and microstructure have a significant influence on the material machinability in machining, i.e., on the machining-process output properties: productivity, machined surface quality and machining accuracy. Machinability improves when equal conditions are achieved: long tool life, increased productivity, better machined surface quality, lower forces and cutting temperatures, as well as favourable chip type. Cutting-process planning requires reliable cutting-force estimates, which can be currently obtained only from process-dependent machinability databases. This paper described research in the field of cutting forces in the face milling of eight different materials: steels C45 and C60, gray irons GJL150 and GJL200, silumine AlSi12Cu.00, copper EK2-Cu.00, bronze CuSn12.01 and brass CuZn40Pb.05. The results showed that the hardness, tensile-strength values, chemical composition and microstructure of a workpiece material have a significant influence on the main cutting force, and thereby on the cutting energy in machining.

sustainable product design - Abstract
Companies all over the world increasingly need to innovate their products and processes to: keep up with competitive pressure, increase productivity within the region or worldwide, defend or expand market share and to create the ability to attract foreign investments. Product innovation is becoming one of the key strategic options available to firms, supply chains and integrated industrial sectors in developing economies to compete better in today’s global market. Growing global concerns about environmental problems such as climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss and about social problems related to poverty, health, working circumstances, safety and inequity, have fostered sustainability approaches for industry. Improved product design which applies sustainability criteria - Design for Sustainability (D4S) - is one of the most useful instruments available to enterprises and governments to deal with these concerns. D4S includes the more limited concept of Ecodesign or Design for the Environment. In this paper, current trends in sustainable product design have been reported.

Taguchi method ,face milling ,cutting force - Abstract
This paper examines the influence of cutting parameters on cutting forces in face milling when machining hardened steel Č3840 (EN 90MnCrV8). The milling parameters evaluated are cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut. The experiments have been carried out in accordance with a Taguchi method. An orthogonal array, signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio and analysis of variance (ANOVA) are employed to analyze the effect of these milling parameters. The analysis of the results shows that the optimal combination for low cutting force are high cutting speed, low feed rate and low depth of cut. The study shows that the Taguchi method is suitable to solve the stated problem with minimum number of trials as compared with a full factorial design.

Certainly is that this time the achieved effects depends on many factors such as time for introduction of quality system, size of organization, type of activity and other factors. Many authors agree that this path should be taken as soon as possible, i.e. that organizations which have earlier introduced and implemented quality system will experience better effects. We think that activity of organization [manufacturing or service) will not have more significant influence to achieved effects, while the influence of number of employees will depend on researched effect and will have different impacts. This paper presents the results of research of the influence of time for introduction of quality system, size and activity of organization on 14 studied effects obtained by the research in 204 organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of this research was to contribute to the development of structural design procedures of complex - cluster type organizational systems. Industrial clusters can help companies to improve their own market positions, effectiveness, productivity and product quality. Organization of the production process in a company is an extremely complex process itself, and when it is transferred to the cluster level, the result is a complex task which is difficult to solve. For that purpose, this paper analyses the conditions and possibilities that would enable those structures to adapt to changes in the surroundings - flexibility and management adequacy of production and organizational structures - by lowering the degree of complexity. For the time being, no simple models which would enable an increase of process effectiveness in complex organizational units like clusters have been developed. One of the possible solutions which would decrease the complexity of flows and increase process effectiveness within an industrial cluster is the application of Group approach. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
