In the current research study, the adsorbent efficacy of an aluminum carbide (AlC3) nanosheet for edifenphos fungicide is assessed for the first time. To explore the efficacy of AlC3 as an adsorbent system, several essential properties of edifenphos, AlC3, and the complex of edifenphos-AlC3 are investigated. Edifenphos has an interaction through its -P = O group with the Al atoms of AlC3 with adsorption energy (Eads) of approximately −34.46 kcal/mol. The charge-transfer process is investigated by carrying out the LUMO-HOMO analysis, which is further supported by the NBO analysis. The net value of charge transfer from the edifenphos to AlC3 in the most stable complex is about 0.526 e. In addition, during edifenphos adsorption on the AlC3 surface the energy gap (Eg) of AlC3 was reduced from 2.25 to 1.17 eV. Also, the solvation energy (Esol) values of edifenphos@AlC3 are calculated to be −40.29 kcal/mol, which indicates that edifenphos@AlC3 is stabilized by water via spontaneous solvation. Overall, the results demonstrate that AlC3 can be employed as an effective adsorbent system for edifenphos to treat different forms of wastewater. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this study, Activated carbon was prepared by simple method using stem a Punica granatum. The nano ZnO was prepared by Silybum marianum leaves extract and zinc sulfate (ZnSO4) (source of zinc oxide nanoparticles) with calcination at temperature at 600 °C. The activated carbon and nano ZnO as a binary composite were prepared by mixing a certain different ratio of activated carbon and zinc oxide nanoparticles by ultrasonicification. FTIR spectroscopy, Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscope techniques (FESEM) and X-ray diffraction were used to characterize the synthesized compounds. The experimental data were fitted into two kinetic models: pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order. It was observed that pseud-second order describe the adsorption better than pseudo-first order kinetic models. Negative values of the thermodynamic functions (ΔG, ΔH, ΔS) of the adsorption declared that it is spontaneous, exothermic and the position of the adsorbed Cr+3 ions is more regularly after the adsorption process. A category of air pollutants named volatile organic compounds (VOCs), with a serious impact on environment, are a threat to human health. A promising technology for utilizing, separating, and enriching VOCs is adsorption. In present research, density functional theory computations have been applied to study adsorption attributes of volatile organic compounds over C2N monolayer and its Si-doped complex owing to porous structure and huge specific surface of recently-reported holey 2D C2N. Despite weak adsorption energy, acetone is adsorbable over pristine C2N monolayers with strong chemical bonds improving adsorption ability. Particularly for acetone, the most optimum adsorption capacity over surface of Si-doped C2N with Eads of − 2.07 eV, is about 4 times higher than pristine C2N. In addition, after acetone adsorption the band gap of Si@C2N was reduce to 1.39 eV. The charge transfer analysis show that during to interaction of acetone and Si@C2N -0.635 e was transfer form gas to monolayer. Moreover, results of electronic distribution and density of states analysis reveal that doping Si can reinforce interactions between acetone molecule and C2N monolayer by acting as a bridge to connect them, which can remarkably improve adsorption capacity. Background:To study the graphic includes of diabetic foot disease in relation with age, sex and blood glucose levels of diabetic patients at Owaisi Hospital & Research Centre. Material and Methods:The present study is descriptive and cross-sectional study of diabetic patients with the diabetic foot lesions (Ulcer, cellulitis or osteomyelitis) of the patients or in patients of Medicine, Surgery and Orthopaedic departments at Owaisi Hospital & Research Centre. The Sample study was done at the Department of Microbiology, here at Deccan College of Medical Sciences from 1st October 2021 to 30th September 2022. Results:A total of 76 microbes were isolated from 30 samples of pus and other executes. It was seen that seen that there was high prevalence of infection males then in females. Almost all the cases studied showed high incidence of uncontrolled diabetes with blood glucose levels higher than 200 mg/dl. Age group affected was studied and it was found that the cases with age group of 65-75 years were highest affected (40%). Majority of samples collected were polymicrobial (nos .22-73.33%) and some also showed more than the microbes, the others were monomicrobial (nos 6-20%) and only two (6.67%) of the samples showed no growth for microbes. Aerobic bacteria showed prevalence in the sample collected (nos 54-71.05%) anaerobic bacteria were 22(28.95%) in number. A total of 29 cocci and 47 bacilli were isolated. Gram --straining showed that there was prevalence of gram-positive bacteria (nos.39) then gram negative was 37 in number. Conclusion:Majority of diabetic foot ulcers were in farmers and people of other slums. These people of the slums showed diabetic foot ulcerations predominantly due to Trauma despite the fact that on the other hand the people of privileged class showed DFU's due to High incidence of uncontrolled diabetes with blood glucose levels higher than 200 mg/dl. The object of this project is to determine thee concentrations of "uranium" concentration in human blood in some Iraqi peop1es in different ages with the type of human gender. By using CR-39, the results indication that the maximum "uranium" concentration in b1ood (5.14 ppb) and the minimum concentration (0.36 ppb) with the average uranium concentration in b1ood was (1.38 ppb). Finally, it has been found that the "uranium" concentration in blood samples are less than the allowed limit from UNSCEAR and WHO. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
