Background: There are various surgical treatments on ingrown toenails. However, the treatment without matricectomy, damaging the nail and not operating on the nail bed could be better. Objective: To present a new treatment for ingrown toenail that completely preserve the nail and nail matrix. Methods: 52 surgical procedures were performed on 47patients with ingrown toenail who applied to Dermatology Department from May 14th, 2021 to March 12th, 2023 were enrolled. A certain volume of soft tissue surrounding the lesion was ablated under local anesthesia. Results: 52 surgical procedures were performed on 47patients. All lesions' results were excellent except 3 with relapse (the cure rate is 94.23%). These cases healed after retreatment. During the minimum of 1 year follow-up, the cosmetic effect was remarkable with normal appearance and function. The mean operative time was 9.83 ± 2.24 min. There were no complications was observed. The mean time for patients returning to walk was1.36 ± 0.49 days. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that ingrown toenail can be surgically treated without matricectomy and preserved the nail. All necrotic tissue and certain volume of soft tissue surrounding the lesion should be ablated to decompress the nail and reduce inflammation. Convertible bond is a compound derivative security involving bond, stock and option. Its pricing has always been one of the hot issues in financial mathematics. In this paper, a variety of stock data were used as samples, the long-term dependence and no-constant volatility of stock price was considered, the stock price model with regime switching was established in the fractional Brownian motion environment, the actuarial method and Monte Carlo simulation algorithm were used to price the convertible bond, the market data of Shanghai Bank Securities and Shanghai Bank convertible bond were used for empirical analysis. The characteristics of single PR-positive (ER-PR+, sPR+) breast cancer (BC) and its prognosis are not well elucidated due to its rarity and conflicting evidence. There is a lack of an accurate and efficient model for predicting survival, thereby rendering treatment challenging for clinicians. Whether endocrine therapy should be intensified in sPR+ BC patients was another controversial clinical topic. We constructed and cross-validated XGBoost models that showed high precision and accuracy in predicting the survival of patients with sPR+ BC cases (1-year: AUC=0.904; 3-year: AUC=0.847; 5-year: AUC=0.824). The F1 score for the 1-, 3-, and 5-year models were 0.91, 0.88, and 0.85, respectively. The models exhibited superior performance in an external, independent dataset (1-year: AUC=0.889; 3-year: AUC=0.846; 5-year: AUC=0.821). Further, intensified endocrine therapy did not provide a significant overall survival benefit compared to initial or no endocrine therapy (P=0.600, HR: 1.46; 95% CI: 0.35-6.17). Propensity-score matching (PSM)-adjusted data showed that there was no statistically significant difference in the prognosis between ER-PR+HER2+ and ER-PR-HER2+ BC. Patients having the ER-PR+HER2- subtype had a slightly worse prognosis than those with the ER-PR-HER2- subtype. In conclusion, XGBoost models can be highly reproducible and effective in predicting survival in patients with sPR+ BC. Our findings revealed that patients with sPR-positive BC may not benefit from endocrine therapy. Tumor associated macrophages (TAMs) are the main infiltrating component in the tumor microenvironment and play an important role in cancer progression. Baicalein has a wide range of pharmacological properties. This study explores the potential effect of baicalein on macrophages polarization and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of breast cancer. Co-culture system was established to evaluate the interaction between TAMs and breast cancer cells. Then the role of baicalein in modulating TAMs function was assessed. Finally, breast cancer mouse model was established to study the underlying mechanism. In vitro experiments showed that co-culture with M2 macrophages significantly enhanced EMT of both MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Baicalein could regulate polarization of M2 and attenuate TGF-β1 secretion. In vivo experiments showed that compared with the MDA-MB-231 + M2 group, tumor growth and metastasis of baicalein + MDA-MB-231 + M2 group was significantly inhibited, with smaller tumor size and decreased lung metastasis lesions. Our findings suggest that the regulation of TAMs may be a novel mechanism underlying the anti-tumor effects of baicalein in breast cancer., Competing Interests: None.
