Background Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a common acute abdominal abdomen, and severe AP has considerable mortality. Early and accurate identification of AP is critical for the prevention, treatment and prognosis evaluation of AP. Studies have shown that obesity is associated with the incidence and clinical outcome of AP. However, there is a lack of obesity-related quantitative indices for the diagnosis and evaluation of AP. Objective To investigate the relationship of abdominal fat content and distribution with AP and its severity, providing a scientific basis for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of AP. Methods One hundred AP patients (including 75 with non-severe AP and 25 with severe AP) and 100 non-AP patients〔AP was diagnosed by Chinese Guidelines for the Management of Acute Pancreatitis (Shenyang, 2019) 〕were selected from Department of General Surgery, the Southwest Hospital of AMU from January 2019 to June 2021. Clinical data were collected, including sex, age, underlying disease (hypertension, diabetes or hyperlipidemia) , history of biliary tract disease, BMI, areas of CT-assessed abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) , visceral adipose tissue (VAT) and total abdominal adipose tissue (TAT) , and calculated VAT/SAT ratio and VAT/TAT ratio. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify factors associated with AP and its severity. ROC analysis was conducted to estimate the diagnostic value and efficiency of BMI, and indices related to abdominal fat content and distribution for the prevalence and severity of AP. Biosensors based on terahertz (THz) metasurfaces have recently attracted widespread attention. However, few have been reported so far because it is a challenge to achieve ultrasensitive multidimensional detection in the THz spectrum. Here, we propose a novel THz biosensor that consists of a metasurfaces and a metal oxide semiconductor-like structure (MOSLS), which is based on patterned graphene–polyimide–perovskite. We varied the photoconductivity of the MOSLS via the electrostatic doping effect. The biosensor could detect whey protein down to a concentration limit of 6.25 ng/mL. Significant responses in frequency, phase, and transmission amplitude were all detected for different protein concentrations. The transmission value difference, frequency shift, and phase difference increased with the concentration of whey protein, clearly demonstrating multidimensional biosensing. Moreover, by applying lasers with different wavelengths, we have realized reversible biosensing in THz region for the first time. These results are very promising for applications of THz metasurfaces in the field of biosensing.

The evolution process of the North China Craton has been discussed by many scholars; however, the frame for the timing of the Trans-North China Block has not been fully agreed upon. Related research has mostly focused on the northern and southern sections of the Trans-North China Block, and in-depth studies on intrusive rocks in the central region are lacking. In this study, we conduct a systematic study of the petrography, the whole-rock geochemistry, and the zircon U–Pb dating for the beschtauite intrusion, located in the Mengjiaping area of the Southern Taihang Mountains. Our results demonstrate that the dyke intrusion is mainly composed of beschtauite. Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry zircon U–Pb dating shows that the beschtauite intrusion occurred at ∼1,880 ± 69 Ma. The beschtauite belongs to I-type granite, Arc tholeiite series, and Cale-alkaline series, with low total alkali, low potassium, and high aluminum. They are also enriched in large-ion lithophile elements, relatively depleted in high-field strength elements, and low total rare-earth elements. Based on the abovementioned data, it is suggested that the magmas for the beschtauite intrusion were metasomatized by oceanic slab subduction in the Late Paleoproterozoic. The formation time of the North China Craton basement should be set to after 1,880 Ma.

Objective To explore the characteristics in motor symptoms development and cognitive function change in patients with different motor subtypes in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) by retrospective longitudinal study. Methods A total of 78 patients with PD subtype and mild cognitive impairment diagnosed in the neurological department of our hospital from 2015 to 2019 were enrolled in this study. They were divided into tremor-dominant (TD) group (n=22), bradykinesia with slowness and impaired dexterity (BSID) group (n=29), and postural instability and gait difficulty (PIGD) group (n=27). Their clinical data were collected in an interval of 3 years. The motor symptoms, activities of daily living, disease stages and changes of cognitive function of these PD patients were assessed by the Unified Parkinson's disease rating scale (UPDRS)-Ⅱ and Ⅲ scores (UPDRS-Ⅱ and UPDRS-Ⅲ), Hoehn-Yahr (H-Y) stage assessment scale, Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA) and mini-mental state examination (MMSE) scales. Results In the comparison of the baseline and follow-up data among the 3 groups, the UPDRS-Ⅱ and UPDRS-Ⅲ scores of the TD group were significantly decreased (P < 0.05); the H-Y stage, UPDRS-Ⅱ, UPDRS-Ⅲ and MOCA scores of the BSID group were also obviously reduced (P < 0.05, P < 0.01); the H-Y stage, UPDRS-Ⅱ, UPDRS-Ⅲ and MOCA scores and total MMSE score of the PIGD group was notably decreased (P < 0.01). During the follow-up, the motor symptoms and cognitive function were lower in the BSID group and PIGD group than the TD group, with H-Y stage, UPDRS-Ⅱ, UPDRS-Ⅲ and MOCA scores and total MMSE scores significantly decreased (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The UPDRS-Ⅲ of PIGD group was significantly reduced than the BSID group (P < 0.05). Conclusion With the progression of the disease, the motor symptoms are deteriorated and cognitive functions are declined more rapidly in the PIGD and BSID subtypes, specially in the PIGD subtype.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of resting brain function in breast cancer survivors with fear of cancer recurrence. Methods A total of 59 breast cancer survivors were recruited by voluntary enrollment from Department of Breast and Thyroid Surgery, First Affiliated Hospital, Army Medical University during May and July 2017, and were divided into the low fear of cancer recurrence group (n=28) and high fear group (n=31) according to the results of Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory (FCRI). Their resting brain functional images were collected, and the differences of mean brain regional homogeneity (ReHo) map were compared between the 2 groups so as to investigate the consistency of spontaneous neuron activities in the brain. Results Compared to the low fear group, the ReHo value was increased in the left caudate nucleus and was decreased in the right anterior cuneiform lobe in the high fear group (P < 0.01). The value in the left caudate nucleus was negatively correlated with the total score of FCR (r=-0.501, P < 0.05), and that in the right anterior cuneiform lobe was positively with the total score (r=0.505, P < 0.05). Conclusion Fear of cancer recurrence has significant effects on the consistency of spontaneous neuron activity in the left caudate nucleus and the right anterior cuneiform lobe in resting state, which may be related to the change of emotion and cognitive function of breast cancer survivors.

In view of the problems existing in traditional irrigation, such as high time cost, poor reliability, waste of water resources. The intelligent irrigation system based on STM32 and BC95 is designed and implemented. The soil information is received through temperature sensor and humidity sensor, which is sent from the sampling node to the remote terminal serial port. The controller sends the signal to the output end for intelligent irrigation. The practice shows that the wireless communication mode of data transmission using STM32 and NB-IoT (narrow band-internet of things) technology can meet the requirements of reducing the time cost and enhancing the reliability of the system, and can meet the goal of data transmission of intelligent irrigation system and water-saving irrigation. it can be seen that the soil moisture data in the figure significantly changes.
