Abstract Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) is a urinary disorder that affects youthful to middle-aged men most frequently. It has been revealed that Th17/Treg imbalance is a crucial factor in the pathophysiological mechanisms behind this disease. However, this imbalance’s mechanisms are unknown. In the experimental autoimmune prostatitis (EAP) mouse model, the NLRP3 inflammasome was turned on, IL-1β levels went up. Moreover, there exists a discernible positive association between the upsurge in IL-1β and the perturbation of Th17/Treg equilibrium. Additionally, we have revealed that IL-1β plays a vital role in promoting the differentiation of Naïve CD4+ T cells into the Th17 cells and enhances the conversion of Treg cells into Th17 cells. Further studies revealed that IL-1β promotes STAT3 phosphorylation, which is what causes Treg cells to become Th17 cells. All data strongly suggest that the NLRP3 inflammatory influence Th17 cell development and the conversion of Treg cells into Th17 cells through IL-1β, disrupting the Th17/Treg balance and exacerbating EAP inflammation. In this article, we provide new theories for the pathogenesis of CP/CPPS and propose new prevention and therapy methods.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) with TFE3 gene fusion caused by Xp11.2 translocations is a rare RCC subtype. This tumor is typically seen in children, comprising 20‒40% of overall RCC cases compared to 1‒1.6% observed in adults. Xp11.2 RCC is associated with a poor prognosis due to both the progression of local lesions and early distant and lymphatic metastasis.

Abstract Image restoration is a fundamental problem in computer vision, with the goal of restoring high-quality images from degraded low-quality observation images. However, the ill-posedness of restoration problem often leads to artifacts in the results. It inspires us to study the combination of prior, effectively restrict the solution space and improving the quality of the restored image. In this paper, a novel hybrid regularization method for image restoration is proposed, which adopts both internal and external image priors into a unified framework. Specifically, a new hybrid regularization model is designed. The TV model and a deep image denoiser are inserted into the restoration model using the plug-and-play framework, protecting image details while implicitly using external information for deep denoising. Moreover, in order to make the proposed hybrid regularization operable, an adaptive parameter method is proposed to adaptively balance the TV model and learned model in iteration. Experiments show that the proposed method surpasses the performance of existing image restoration techniques.

Abstract The antiangiogenic agent apatinib has been shown to clinically improve responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors in several cancer types. Patients with N3 nasopharyngeal carcinoma have a high risk of distant metastasis, however, if the addition of immunotherapy to standard treatment could improve efficacy is unclear. In this phase II clinical trial (ChiCTR2000032317), 49 patients with stage TanyN3M0 nasopharyngeal carcinoma were enrolled and received the combination of three cycles of induction chemotherapy, camrelizumab and apatinib followed by chemoradiotherapy. Here we report on the primary outcome of distant metastasis-free survival and secondary end points of objective response rate, failure-free survival, locoregional recurrence-free survival, overall survival and toxicity profile. After induction therapy, all patients had objective response, including 13 patients (26.5%) with complete response. After a median follow-up of 28.7 months, the primary endpoint of 1-year distant metastasis-free survival was met for the cohort (1-year DMFS rate: 98%). Grade≥3 toxicity appeared in 32 (65.3%) patients, with the most common being mucositis (14[28.6%]) and nausea/vomiting (9[18.4%]). In this work, camrelizumab and apatinib in combination with induction chemotherapy show promising distant metastasis control with acceptable safety profile in patients with stage TanyN3M0 nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Abstract Patients with residual nasopharyngeal carcinoma after receiving definitive treatment have poor prognoses. Although immune checkpoint therapies have achieved breakthroughs for treating recurrent and metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma, none of these strategies have been assessed for treating residual nasopharyngeal carcinoma. In this single-arm, phase 2 trial, we aimed to evaluate the antitumor efficacy and safety of toripalimab (anti-PD1 antibody) plus capecitabine in patients with residual nasopharyngeal carcinoma after definitive treatment (ChiCTR1900023710). Primary endpoint of this trial was the objective response rate assessed according to RECIST (version 1.1). Secondary endpoints included complete response rate, disease control rate, duration of response, progression-free survival, safety profile, and treatment compliance. Between June 1, 2020, and May 31, 2021, 23 patients were recruited and received six cycles of toripalimab plus capecitabine every 3 weeks. In efficacy analyses, 13 patients (56.5%) had complete response, and 9 patients (39.1%) had partial response, with an objective response rate of 95.7% (95% CI 78.1-99.9). The trial met its prespecified primary endpoint. In safety analyses, 21 of (91.3%) 23 patients had treatment-related adverse events. The most frequently reported adverse event was hand-foot syndrome (11 patients [47.8%]). The most common grade 3 adverse event was hand-foot syndrome (two patients [8.7%]). No grades 4-5 treatment-related adverse events were recorded. This phase 2 trial shows that combining toripalimab with capecitabine has promising antitumour activity and a manageable safety profile for patients with residual nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Abstract To assess the efficacy and safety of the combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and target therapy (anti-angiogenesis or EGFR inhibitors) as a second-line or subsequent treatment for recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (R/M NPC), we conducted a retrospective study. In this study, previously treated R/M NPC patients were administered one of the following treatment: ICIs combined with target therapy and chemotherapy (ITC), ICIs combined with target therapy alone (IT), ICIs combined with chemotherapy (IC), or chemotherapy alone (C). The primary endpoint under consideration was progression-free survival (PFS), while secondary endpoints included overall survival (OS), objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), and safety measures. A total of 226 patients participated in this study, with 70 receiving the ITC regimen, 48 receiving IT, 48 treated with IC, and 60 undergoing C alone. The median PFS for the four cohorts was 20.67, 13.63, 12.47, and 7.93 months respectively. Notably, ITC regimen yielded the most favorable PFS among these cohorts. The ITC cohort exhibited a comparable tumor response and safety profile to the IT and IC cohorts (p > 0.05), but superior tumor response compared to the C cohort (p

Due to the ability of optical modulators to achieve rapid modulation of optical signals, meeting the demands of high-speed data transmission, modulators based on different novel nanomaterials have become one of the research hotspots over the past dacade. Recently, TiN/Ti3C2 heterojunction exhibits highly efficient thermo-optic performance and extremely strong stability. Therefore, we have demonstrated an all-optical modulator based on the principle of Michelson interference and the thermo-optic effect in this paper. The modulator employs a TiN/Ti3C2 heterojunction-coated microfiber (THM) and further demonstrates its ability to generate phase shifts through an ASE light source. The modulator, with a phase shift slope of 0.025π/mW, can also convert the phase shifts of signal light into amplitude modulation through Michelson interference. The fixed signal light wavelength is 1552.09 nm, and the modulation depth is stable at about 26.4 dB within a wavelength detuning range of −10 to 6 nm; The waveforms of signal light at modulation rates of 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, and 3000 Hz were tested, and a 3 dB modulation bandwidth of 2 kHz was measured. The all-optical modulator based on THM has the advantages of high efficiency and stability and has broad application prospects in the fields of all-optical signal processing and high-speed optical communication.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) requires regular follow-up to detect recurrence as early as possible. However, many patients are unable to regularly follow up due to the inconvenience of the conventional approach. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the impact of the online clinic on follow-up compliance and prognosis in NPC patients. Patients who were first diagnosed with NPC between April 2019 and November 2019 were enrolled. Good follow-up compliance was defined as having at least one follow-up visit every 6 months within 2 years after treatment completion. Sensitivity analyses were performed using a propensity score matching model. A total of 539 (42%) patients used online follow-up while 731 (58%) used traditional follow-up. The median age of patients in the online cohort was lower than that in the traditional cohort (44 vs. 47, p < 0.001). Compared with the traditional cohort, the online cohort had significantly better follow-up compliance (57.3% vs. 17.1%, p < 0.001) and a higher 2-year PFS rate (98.1% vs. 94.4%, p = 0.003). Survival analysis showed that online follow-up was an independent factor for better survival prognosis (HR 0.39, 95%CI 0.20–0.74, p = 0.004). Sensitivity analysis further confirmed these results. Our study found that the online clinic increased follow-up compliance and improved prognosis in NPC patients.

ObjectiveAiming at the problems of low accuracy and incomplete coverage of image recognition of phenological period of apple in natural environment by traditional methods, an improved ResNet50 model was proposed for phenological period recognition of apple.MethodsWith 8 kinds of phenological period images of Red Fuji apple in Sichuan plateau area as the research objects and 3 sets of spherical cameras built in apple orchard as acquisition equipment, the original data set of 9800 images of apple phenological period were obtained, labeled by fruit tree experts. Due to the different duration of each phenological period of apple, there were certain differences in the quantity of collection. In order to avoid the problem of decreasing model accuracy due to the quantity imbalance, data set was enhanced by random cropping, random rotation, horizontal flip and brightness adjustment, and the original data set was expanded to 32,000 images. It was divided into training set (25,600 images), verification set (3200 images) and test set (3200 images) in a ratio of 8:1:1. Based on the ResNet50 model, the SE (Squeeze and Excitation Network) channel attention mechanism and Adam optimizer were integrated. SE channel attention was introduced at the end of each residual module in the benchmark model to improve the model's feature extraction ability for plateau apple tree images. In order to achieve fast convergence of the model, the Adam optimizer was combined with the cosine annealing attenuation learning rate, and ImageNet was selected as the pre-training model to realize intelligent recognition of plateau Red Fuji apple phenological period under natural environment. A "Intelligent Monitoring and Production Management Platform for Fruit Tree Growth Period" has been developed using the identification model of apple tree phenology. In order to reduce the probability of model misjudgment, improve the accuracy of model recognition, and ensure precise control of the platform over the apple orchard, three sets of cameras deployed in the apple orchard were set to capture motion trajectories, and images were collected at three time a day: early, middle, and late, a total of 27 images per day were collected. The model calculated the recognition results of 27 images and takes the category with the highest number of recognition as the output result to correct the recognition rate and improve the reliability of the platform.Results and DiscussionsExperiments were carried out on 32,000 apple tree images. The results showed that when the initial learning rate of Adam optimizer was set as 0.0001, the accuracy of the test model tended to the optimal, and the loss value curve converged the fastest. When the initial learning rate was set to 0.0001 and the iteration rounds are set to 30, 50 and 70, the accuracies of the optimal verification set obtained by the model was 0.9354, 0.9635 and 0.9528, respectively. Therefore, the improved ResNet50 model selects the learning rate of 0.0001 and iteration rounds of 50 as the training parameters of the Adam optimizer. Ablation experiments showed that the accuracy of validation set and test set were increased by 0.8% and 2.99% in the ResNet50 model with increased SE attention mechanism, respectively. The validation set accuracy and test set accuracy of the ResNet50 model increased by 2.19% and 1.42%, respectively, when Adam optimizer was added. The accuracy of validation set and test set was 2.33% and 3.65%, respectively. The accuracy of validation set was 96.35%, the accuracy of test set was 91.94%, and the average detection time was 2.19 ms.Compared with the AlexNet, VGG16, ResNet18, ResNet34, and ResNet101 models, the improved ResNet50 model improved the accuracy of the optimal validation set by 9.63%, 5.07%, 5.81%, 4.55%, and 0.96%, respectively. The accuracy of the test set increased by 12.31%, 6.88%, 8.53%, 8.67%, and 5.58%, respectively. The confusion matrix experiment result showed that the overall recognition rate of the improved ResNet50 model for the phenological period of apple tree images was more than 90%, of which the accuracy rate of bud stage and dormancy stage was the lowest, and the probability of mutual misjudgment was high, and the test accuracy rates were 89.50% and 87.44% respectively. There were also a few misjudgments during the young fruit stage, fruit enlargement stage, and fruit coloring stage due to the similarity in characteristics between adjacent stages. The external characteristics of the Red Fuji apple tree were more obvious during the flowering and fruit ripening stages, and the model had the highest recognition rate for the flowering and fruit ripening stages, with test accuracy reaching 97.50% and 97.49%, respectively.ConclusionsThe improved ResNet50 can effectively identify apple phenology, and the research results can provide reference for the identification of orchard phenological period. After integration into the intelligent monitoring production management platform of fruit tree growth period, intelligent management and control of apple orchard can be realized.

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) accounts for approximately 15% of all lung cancer cases and features a strong predilection for early metastasis and extremely poor prognosis. Despite being highly sensitive to chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy initially, most SCLC patients develop therapeutic resistance within one year and die of distant metastases. Multiple studies have revealed the high heterogeneity and strong plasticity of SCLC associated with frequent metastases and early development of therapeutic resistance as well as poor clinical outcome. Importantly, different SCLC subtypes are associated with different therapeutic vulnerabilities, and the inflamed subtype tends to have the best response to immunotherapy, which highlights the importance of precision medicine in the clinic. Here, we review recent advances in SCLC heterogeneity and plasticity and their link to distant metastases and chemotherapy resistance. We hope that a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying SCLC malignant progression will help to develop better intervention strategies for this deadly disease.

This paper focuses on the cooperative driving challenges of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) at single-lane roundabouts. First, a geometric path planning method is proposed for CAVs navigating a single-lane roundabout. Based on this method, a vehicle roundabout model is established. Four potential traffic scenarios for CAVs are established, and the optimal arrival times at conflict points are analyzed. By correlating the optimal arrival times at conflict points with the optimal entry times into the roundabout, the multi-vehicle coordination problem in complex intersections is simplified to a speed control issue during entry. Utilizing the principles of optimal control and Pontryagin minimization, two speed optimization strategies are proposed. Finally, MATLAB is employed for simulation analysis. The results indicate that the control strategy proposed in this paper enables the system to clearly identify potential conflicts between vehicles and implement an optimal control strategy, ensuring that vehicles can navigate the roundabout efficiently in terms of time and fuel without collisions. Additionally, the minimum time interval is established at 0.2 seconds to completely prevent vehicle collisions. In this study, the fusion problem involving two vehicles at a single conflict point is further expanded to encompass multiple vehicles at multiple conflict points. Thus, the efficient scheduling of multiple vehicles in single-lane roundabouts is realized.

Introduction: Technical advances and the increasing role of interdisciplinary decision-making may warrant formal definitions of expertise in surgical neuro-oncology. Research question: The EANS Neuro-oncology Section felt that a survey detailing the European neurosurgical perspective on the concept of expertise in surgical neuro-oncology might be helpful. Material and methods: The EANS Neuro-oncology Section panel developed an online survey asking questions regarding criteria for expertise in neuro-oncological surgery and sent it to all individual EANS members. Results: Our questionnaire was completed by 251 respondents (consultants: 80.1%) from 42 countries. 67.7% would accept a lifetime caseload of >200 cases and 86.7% an annual caseload of >50 as evidence of neuro-oncological surgical expertise. A majority felt that surgeons who do not treat children (56.2%), do not have experience with spinal fusion (78.1%) or peripheral nerve tumors (71.7%) may still be considered experts. Majorities believed that expertise requires the use of skull-base approaches (85.8%), intraoperative monitoring (83.4%), awake craniotomies (77.3%), and neuro-endoscopy (75.5%) as well as continuing education of at least 1/year (100.0%), a research background (80.0%) and teaching activities (78.7%), and formal interdisciplinary collaborations (e.g., tumor board: 93.0%). Academic vs. non-academic affiliation, career position, years of neurosurgical experience, country of practice, and primary clinical interest had a minor influence on the respondents’ opinions. Discussion and conclusion: Opinions among neurosurgeons regarding the characteristics and features of expertise in neuro-oncology vary surprisingly little. Large majorities favoring certain thresholds and qualitative criteria suggest a consensus definition might be possible.

Summary: Background: There are limited treatment options for patients with metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (mNPC) after failure of platinum-based chemotherapy. In this trial, we assessed the efficacy and safety of sintilimab plus bevacizumab in patients with mNPC where platinum-based chemotherapy has been ineffective. Methods: This was a single-centre, open-label, single-arm, phase 2 trial in Guangzhou, China for patients with mNPC progressed after at least one line of systemic therapy. Eligible patients were between 18 and 75 years old, were histologically confirmed differentiated or undifferentiated non-keratinized NPC, were ineffective after platinum-based chemotherapy, and they had at least one measurable metastatic lesion assessed with Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST V.1.1) by investigators and unsuitable for local surgery or radiotherapy. Key exclusion criterion was previous treatment with anti–PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies plus anti-VEGF antibodies and high risk of hemorrhage or nasopharyngeal necrosis. Patients were enrolled and received sintilimab (200 mg) plus bevacizumab (7.5 mg/kg) intravenously every 3 weeks. Intention-to-treat population was included in primary endpoint analyses and safety analyses. The primary endpoint was objective response rate (ORR) assessed by investigators following the guidelines of RECIST V1.1. Key secondary endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), duration of response (DOR), and safety. This trial is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04872582). Findings: Between July 29, 2021 and August 16, 2022, 33 patients were enrolled. Median age was 46 years (range, 18–64 years), and 63.6% of patients had previously received two or more lines of chemotherapy for metastatic disease. Median follow-up was 7.6 months (range, 4.1–17.5 months). ORR was 54.5% (95% CI, 36.4–71.9%) with 3 complete responses (9.1%) and 15 partial responses (45.5%). Median PFS was 6.8 months (95% CI, 5.2 months to not estimable). Median DOR was 7.2 months (95% CI, 4.4 months to not estimable). Median OS was not reached. The most common potential immune-related adverse event (AE) was Grade 1–2 hypothyroidism (42.4%). Treatment-related grade 3 or 4 AEs occurred in 7 patients (21.2%), including nasal necrosis (3/33), hypertension (1/33), pruritus (1/33), total bilirubin increased (1/33) and anaphylactic shock (1/33). No treatment-related deaths and severe epistaxis occurred. Interpretation: This phase 2 trial showed that sintilimab plus bevacizumab demonstrated promising antitumour activity and manageable toxicities in patients with mNPC after failure of platinum-based chemotherapy. Further trials are warranted, and the detailed mechanisms need to be elucidated. BACKGROUND Gypsum-salt formation affects the oxygen fugacity of ore-forming fluid and changes the fluid composition, and then affects the trace element composition, which plays an important indicator role in the formation of iron ore deposits. Therefore, changes in the elemental composition of magnetite can be used to classify the types of deposits and determine their genesis. Gypsum-salt formation is widely developed in "Pamir-type" iron deposits in Xinjiang and Ningwu iron deposits in the middle and lower part of the Yangtze River. However, the controlling mechanism of gypsum-salt formation is still unclear. OBJECTIVES In order to investigate the metallogenic process and formation environment of the two types of magnetite, and to discuss the role of gypsum-salt formation in the formation of magnetite deposits. METHODS In situ LA-ICP-MS were employed to determine trace elements in magnetite. RESULTS: LA-ICP-MS results showed that magnetite in the Ningwu area were mainly rich in Ti and V, indicating that it was closely related to magmatism, while the contents of Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf and other high field strength elements (HFSE) in magnetite in the Tashkurgan magnetite deposit in Xinjiang were depleted. Combined with the discrimination diagram of magnetite types, it was mainly divided into two genetic types: magmatic hydrothermal magnetite and hydrothermal metasomatic skarn magnetite related to marine volcanic activity. CONCLUSIONS The results show that the gypsum-salt formation changes the oxygen fugacity during the formation of magnetite deposits in the Tashkurgan area, and provides an important source of ore-forming material for mineralization during the formation of porphyrite-type iron ore in the Ningwu area.

In order to improve the efficiency of the traction system, this paper researches the PWM control strategy of high-frequency SiC traction inverter system from multiple dimensions such as inverter switching frequency optimization, modulation strategy selection and motor control algorithm adaptation. A multi-mode PWM control method for SiC traction inverter is proposed in this paper. At low and medium speeds which below 30% rated speed, the high-frequency characteristics of SiC are fully utilized and the rated switching frequency of the inverter is optimized based on the principle of system loss optimization. During high speeds above 30% rated speed, the current harmonics are optimized modulated to achieve motor current harmonic suppression, while the motor voltage utilization rate can reach 97%. In addition, a new closed loop control method for multimodal stator flux trajectories of traction motors is proposed in order to adapt to the new PWM control method. The proposed PWM control method is compared with the traditional low-frequency PWM control method. Experimental results show that using the proposed algorithm, the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the motor current can be reduced by a maximum of 9.31%, the overall loss of the traction system can be reduced by a maximum of 10.2%, the temperature rise of the motor can be reduced by a maximum of 31 K, and the maximum noise suppression of the motor can reach 10 dB. Effectiveness of the proposed PWM modulation method is demonstrated.

Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) has the advantages of high power generation efficiency, excellent fuel adaptability, hightemperature waste heat recovery and so on. It is the most cutting-edge fuel cell technology and has promising application prospects in fields such as large-scale power generation, distributed power generation, combined heat and power generation, transportation, and energy storage. The SOFC technology uses hydrogen and carbon-based fuels and thus can help promote the supply-side reform of China’s energy sector, promote energy technology revolution, and lay a technological foundation for realizing carbon peak and carbon neutralization. This study analyzed the current status of SOFC industry in China and abroad, and discussed the challenges, development ideas, and key tasks for developing the SOFC industry of China. Specifically, China needs to improve its institutional system and the top-level design for SOFC technology and industry development, strengthen fiscal, taxation, and financial support for the industry, and encourage independent technological innovation. Moreover, it is imperative to improve the standards system to form technical standards with independent intellectual property rights, strengthen personnel training, and deepen international exchanges and cooperation. This study is expected to provide guidance for the large-scale and commercial development of China’s SOFC industry in the future.

Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the histopathological and genetic changes in the submandibular glands after duct ligation and provide important clues to functional regeneration. Design: We established a rat salivary gland duct ligation model and observed pathological changes in the rat submandibular gland on day 1 and weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4 using hematoxylin and eosin staining, Alcian blue–periodic acid Schiff staining, Masson staining, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL), and immunohistochemical staining. RNA sequencing was performed on normal salivary glands and those from the ligation model after 1 week. Significantly differentially expressed genes were selected, and Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analyses were performed. Results: Apoptosis levels and histological and functional KEGG pathway analyses showed that injury to the salivary gland after ligation gradually increased. The TGF-β pathway was activated and promoted fibrosis. RNA sequencing results and further verification of samples at week 1 showed that the NF-κB pathway plays a vital role in salivary gland atrophy. Conclusions: Our results detailed the pathological changes in the submandibular gland after ligation and the important functions of the NF-κB pathway.

BackgroundEpstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA seronegative (Sero-) and seropositive (Sero+) nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) are distinctly different disease subtypes. Patients with higher baseline EBV DNA titers seem to benefit less from anti-PD1 immunotherapy, but underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Tumor microenvironment (TME) characteristics could be the important factor affecting the efficacy of immunotherapy. Here, we illuminated the distinct multicellular ecosystems of EBV DNA Sero- and Sero+ NPCs from cellular compositional and functional perspectives at single-cell resolution.MethodWe performed single-cell RNA sequencing analyses of 28,423 cells from ten NPC samples and one non-tumor nasopharyngeal tissue. The markers, function, and dynamics of related cells were analyzed.ResultsWe found that tumor cells from EBV DNA Sero+ samples exhibit low-differentiation potential, stronger stemness signature, and upregulated signaling pathways associated with cancer hallmarks than that of EBV DNA Sero- samples. Transcriptional heterogeneity and dynamics in T cells were associated with EBV DNA seropositivity status, indicating different immunoinhibitory mechanisms employed by malignant cells depending on EBV DNA seropositivity status. The low expression of classical immune checkpoints, early-triggered cytotoxic T-lymphocyte response, global activation of IFN-mediated signatures, and enhanced cell-cell interplays cooperatively tend to form a specific immune context in EBV DNA Sero+ NPC.ConclusionsCollectively, we illuminated the distinct multicellular ecosystems of EBV DNA Sero- and Sero+ NPCs from single-cell perspective. Our study provides insights into the altered tumor microenvironment of NPC associated with EBV DNA seropositivity, which will help direct the development of rational immunotherapy strategies.

FPGA is widely used in communication, control, data acquisition, signal processing, image and video processing. LabVIEW FPGA is an embedded graphical development environment suitable for measurement and control field with high development efficiency, good code readability and rich library functions. Nevertheless,it mainly supports the FPGA board of national instrument company. In order to meet the application requirements of multichannel, high bandwidth and high throughput, and use LabVIEW to develop customized FPGA board to reduce cost and increase efficiency, this paper presents a design of ultrasonic flaw detection data processing system which use FPGA to build the system hardware architecture and use LabVIEW to build the underlying software architecture. It comprehensively expounds the construction of DDR3, Flash memory, dual-Gigabit-Ethernet, encoder, ultrasonic excitation, ultrasonic data acquisition, UART and I2C and other hardware circuits; systematically introduces the top-level construction method of parallel threads such as DDR3 reading and writing, Ethernet communication and ultrasonic data signal processing based on LabVIEW; describes in detail the Socket CLOP and IP Node technologies which realizes interconnection between LabVIEW and the underlying hardware. The feasibility of developing self-developed FPGA board by LabVIEW is demonstrated with a practical case, which can save 60% of hardware cost and reduce the PCB circuit area by 30% ~ 50%, and the application mode of creating self-developed FPGA target machine under LabVIEW is successfully realized, which can not only give full play to the efficient performance of LabVIEW graphical programming, but also give full play to the ultra-high cost performance brought by self-developed FPGA board, and the development efficiency is improved by 60%.

Abstract Background Circular RNAs (circRNAs) regulate various biological activities and have been shown to play crucial roles in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression. However, only a few coding circRNAs have been identified in cancers, and their roles in HCC remain elusive. This study aimed to identify coding circRNAs and explore their function in HCC. Methods CircMAP3K4 was selected from the CIRCpedia database. We performed a series of experiments to determine the characteristics and coding capacity of circMAP3K4. We then used in vivo and in vitro assays to investigate the biological function and mechanism of circMAP3K4 and its protein product, circMAP3K4-455aa, in HCC. Results We found circMAP3K4 to be an upregulated circRNA with coding potential in HCC. IGF2BP1 recognized the circMAP3K4 N6-methyladenosine modification and promoted its translation into circMAP3K4-455aa. Functionally, circMAP3K4-455aa prevented cisplatin-induced apoptosis in HCC cells by interacting with AIF, thus protecting AIF from cleavage and decreasing its nuclear distribution. Moreover, circMAP3K4-455aa was degraded through the ubiquitin–proteasome E3 ligase MIB1 pathway. Clinically, a high level of circMAP3K4 is an independent prognostic factor for adverse overall survival and adverse disease-free survival of HCC patients. Conclusions CircMAP3K4 is a highly expressed circRNA in HCC. Driven by m6A modification, circMAP3K4 encoded circMAP3K4-455aa, protected HCC cells from cisplatin exposure, and predicted worse prognosis of HCC patients. Targeting circMAP3K4-455aa may provide a new therapeutic strategy for HCC patients, especially for those with chemoresistance. Graphical Abstract CircMAP3K4 is a highly expressed circRNA in HCC. BackgroundWe aimed to establish a prognostic model to identify suitable candidates for chemotherapy combination PD-1 inhibitor in metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients.Patients and methodsIn this retrospective study, we included 524 patients (192 patients treated with chemotherapy combination PD-1 inhibitor and 332 received chemotherapy alone as first-line regimen) with metastatic NPC between January 2015 and March 2021. We developed a prognostic model to predict progression-free survival (PFS). A model-based trees approach was applied to estimate stratified treatment effects using prognostic scores and two well-matched risk groups (low-risk and high-risk) were created using propensity score matching.ResultsA prognostic nomogram was established with good accuracy for predicting PFS (c-index values of 0.71; 95% confidence interval, 0.66-0.73). The survival curves were significantly different between low-risk and high-risk groups (median PFS: 9.8 vs. 22.8 months, P < 0.001, respectively). After propensity matching analysis, chemotherapy combination PD-1 inhibitor was significantly associated with superior PFS as compared with chemotherapy alone (median PFS, 10.6 versus 9.3 months, P = 0.016) in the high-risk group. However, no significant difference between chemotherapy combination PD-1 inhibitor and chemotherapy was observed (P = 0.840) in the low-risk groups.ConclusionsOur novel prognostic model was able to stratify patients with metastatic NPC into low-risk or high-risk groups and identify candidates for PD-1 inhibitor therapy. These results are expected to be confirmed by a prospective clinical trial.

Background: To evaluate prognostic value of WTAP levels in tumor and paired adjacent non-neoplastic liver tissues (PANLT) for cases of hepatitis B virus (HBV)-positive Asian small hepatocellular carcinoma (sHCC) patients who received curative partial hepatectomy.Method: The investigation with two external cohorts were included. Associations between hazard risk of recurrence and continuous WTAP levels were investigated with restricted cubic spline models. Cox and inverse probability weighting models were established for survival analysis. Based on interaction effects, further stratification analysis was performed. Landmark analysis was employed to analyze cases of late recurrence. Finally, sensitivity analysis was performed to assess unmeasured confounders.Findings: In an investigation cohort of 307 patients, restricted cubic spline models indicated that hazard risk of recurrence increases with elevated WTAP levels for sHCC and PANLT. However, using Cox and inverse probability weighting models, no significant differences were observed in recurrence-free survival (RFS) between groups with different WTAP levels in sHCC. Multivariate analysis showed that patients with high PANLT WTAP levels had significantly worse RFS (HR 1.567, 95% CI 1.065–2.307; p = 0.023). Based on the significant interaction effect between WTAP levels in sHCC and PANLT, stratification analysis revealed that recurrence risk is more pronounced in patients with high WTAP levels in both PANLT and sHCC. Landmark analysis showed that late recurrence was more likely to occur in patients with high PANLT WTAP levels (HR 2.058, 95% CI 1.113–3.805; p = 0.021). Moreover, the detrimental effects of elevated PANLT WTAP levels on RFS were validated with two external cohorts. Sensitivity analysis confirmed the robustness of results.Conclusion: Increased PANLT WTAP expression levels independently predict high recurrence risk in HBV-positive Asian sHCC patients. Both tumor tissues and PANLT need to be considered together in future clinical practice to obtain a more comprehensive and accurate evaluation for recurrence risk.

Background We compared results from household data sources to medical record sources by using data from a vaccination coverage survey. Methods Vaccination coverage (VC) was calculated based on parental recall, household vaccination booklet, and Zhejiang provincial immunization information system (ZJIIS). We evaluated the accuracy of VC based on household sources (vaccination booklet and recall) assuming the medical record was accurate. Concordance, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were estimated as well as the Kappa statistic was also used to evaluate the agreement between data sources. Results Among the 1,800 children identified in the household survey, all were registered in ZJIIS. VC estimated using the vaccination booklet alone was substantially lower than that based on medical records (net bias 3.4–16.7% in different age groups). VC based on parental recall ranged from 2.5% below (among children aged 1 year) to 16.7% points above (among children aged 6 years) than those based on medical records. ObjectivesWe aimed to evaluate the relationship between the proportion of Android to Gynoid ratio and the incidence of kidney stones among US adults.MethodsParticipants aged 20-59 years from the 2011-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database were selected to assess the association between Android to Gynoid ratio and kidney stone prevalence using logistic regression analysis, subgroup analysis and calculation of dose-response curves.ResultsThis study ultimately included 10858 participants, of whom 859 self-reported a history of kidney stones. And after adjusting for all confounders, an increased Android to Gynoid ratio was associated with an increased prevalence of kidney stones (OR=2.75, 95% CI:1.62-4.88). And subgroup analysis showed an increased prevalence of kidney stones in women (OR=3.55, 95% CI: 1.54-8.22), non-diabetic (OR=2.59, 95% CI: 1.45-4.60), 60 > age ≥ 40 years (OR=3.51, 95% CI: 1.83-6.71), Mexican-American (OR=4.35, 95% CI: 1.40- 13.53) and white (OR=3.86, 95% CI: 1.82-8.18) groups, there was a significant positive association between A/G ratio and kidney stones. In contrast, in the hypertensive subgroup, the A/G ratio was associated with kidney stones in all groups.ConclusionsHigher Android to Gynoid ratio is associated with a high prevalence of kidney stone disease.

BackgroundThe main objective of this study is to explore the effects of hepatitis C (HCV) on the prevalence rate of kidney stones in US women.MethodDates for HCV infection and kidney stones were collected from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database, a cross-sectional study. The analysis samples included adults aged ≥20 years and women from six consecutive cycles of the NHANES 2007–2018. The association between HCV infection and kidney stones was performed by using logistic regression models. Subgroup analyses were conducted to find sensitive crowds.ResultsA total of 13,262 participants were enrolled, including 201 infected with HCV. After adjustment for potential confounders, we revealed a positive relationship between HCV and kidney stones (OR = 1.70, 95%CI:1.13–2.56). The crowds' statistically significant difference was characterized by other races (OR = 8.17, 95%CI:1.62–41.22) and BMI within 25–29.9 kg/m2 (OR = 2.45, 95%CI:1.24–4.83).ConclusionsHCV infection may affect the prevalence of urolithiasis in US women, even the causal relationship remains unclear, the relation deserves special attention. We considered such a study an ideal way to begin exploring the effects of HCV on kidney stones.

Background: We aimed to evaluate whether the density of vaccination workers was associated with the immunization coverage in Zhejiang province. Methods: The immunization coverage of measles-containing vaccine (MCV), the third dose of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis combined vaccine (DTP3), and the third dose of poliomyelitis vaccine (PV3) was selected as the dependent variables. Immunization coverage data of children aged 13–23 months were taken from the Zhejiang immunization information system (ZJIIS). The aggregate density of vaccination workers was an independent variable in one set of regressions, while the full-time and part-time vaccination workers were adopted separately in other sets. Results: The density of total vaccination workers was positively and significantly associated with the immunization coverage (MCV: AOR = 3.36; DTP3: AOR = 2.68; PV3: AOR = 2.37). However, when the effects of full-time vaccination workers and part-time vaccination workers were assessed separately, we only found that the density of full-time vaccination workers was positively and significantly associated with the immunization coverage (MCV: AOR = 5.59; DTP3: AOR = 4.13; PV3: AOR = 3.28). The proportion of migrant children < 7 years and Land area were found as negative and significant factors for immunization coverage. Conclusions: A higher density of vaccination workers could improve the availability of vaccination services and immunization coverage. We recommended that government or other non-government organization should, apart from vaccine-related assistance, focus their efforts on human resources for vaccination.

Background: To evaluate the missed opportunities for vaccination (MOV) in Zhejiang province by using the global methodology from World Health Organization (WHO). Methods: Based on the WHO Planning Guide to Reduce Missed Opportunities for Vaccination (MOV) and Methodology for the Assessment of MOV, 33 health facilities from 11 cities in Zhejiang province were selected. For each health facility, exit investigations for 20 caregivers of children aged 0–23 months and knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) surveys for 10 health workers was implemented. A MOV was determined based on the child’s age on the date of investigation, eligibility for various vaccines. The prevalence of MOV was calculated and the risk factors of MOV were explored. Results: There were 660 completed exit investigations of caregivers of children aged 0–23 months and 330 health worker KAP investigations. Of the 658 children with documented vaccination records, 12.6% were still under-vaccinated. Among these under-vaccinated children, 54.2% still had a MOV. Children’s age and their previous vaccination behavior, as well as caregivers’ relationship to children and education level had a significant impact on the incidence of MOV. Conclusion: The high proportions of visits with MOV in Zhejiang province suggested that interventions to reduce MOV in health service settings may be a potential quick win for improving coverage and equity. National immunization programs should explore the tailored efforts to improve health worker practices by making better use of existing health service contacts.

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to examine whether the METS-IR index is associated with kidney stones in American adults.MethodParticipants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database from 2007-2018 were selected for logistic regression analysis, subgroup analyses, and the calculation of dose-response curves to assess the association between the METS-IR index and the incidence of kidney stones.ResultThis study enrolled 30,612 adults aged >20 years, 2901 of whom self-reported having had kidney stones in the past. And, after controlling for potential confounders, each unit increase in the METS-IR index was linked with a 1.23 percent rise in kidney stone incidence (OR= 1.0123, 95% CI: 1.0092 - 1.0155), with stratified analysis indicating that this was true in all subgroups. Between all groups, an elevated METS-IR index was related to kidney stone formation, and the dose-response curve revealed a positive non-linear connection between METS-IR index and kidney stone risk, with a threshold effect analysis revealing an inflection point value of 50.8314.ConclusionHigher METS-IR index is associated with the occurrence of kidney stones,and while no causative association can be shown, this is cause for concern.

BackgroundPlasma Epstein–Barr virus DNA (EBV-DNA) is a sensitive and specific biomarker for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). We investigated whether longitudinal monitoring of EBV-DNA could accurately detect clinical disease progression in NPC patients with bone-only metastases.MethodsIn this retrospective study, a total of 105 patients with bone-only metastatic NPC who were treated with platinum-based first-line chemotherapy were enrolled. Undetectable EBV-DNA after first-line chemotherapy was defined as a biochemical complete response (BCR). The correlation of the EBV-DNA dynamic status with overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) was determined by Cox regression. The correlation between non-normalized EBV-DNA period and PFS period was determined.ResultsAfter a median follow-up time of 53.4 months [Interquartile range (IQR): 42.8–80.6], 64 patients had disease progression. Thirty-nine of 105 patients (37.1%) had a BCR at all follow-up time points, and none of these 39 patients had disease progression, corresponding to a negative predictive value (NPV) of 100%. Sixty-six patients had a detectable EBV-DNA during surveillance, with 64 diagnosed as disease progression at the last follow-up, for a positive predictive value (PPV) of 97.0%. Actuarial 3-year OS rates were 45.0% for patients with detectable EBV-DNA during posttreatment surveillance and 100% for patients with undetectable EBV-DNA. Lastly, median lead time between non-normalized EBV-DNA and clinically proven progression was 5.87 ± 0.67 months.ConclusionsTaken together, EBV-DNA provided predictive value for the bone-only metastatic NPC patients. The results should be validated in prospective randomized studies.

Objective This study aimed to evaluate the trends and changes in inequities in the completeness of the primary vaccination (CPV) scheduled before the first year of age among children aged 12–23 months, from 2000 to 2017. Methods: Data were extracted from five rounds of the provincial vaccination coverage survey (PVCS) in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2014 and 2017, respectively. The household income per month was used as an index of socioeconomic status for the inequity analysis. The concentration index (CI) was used to quantify the degree of inequity, and the decomposition approach was applied to quantify the contributions from independent factors to inequity in the CPV. Results: The CPV was significantly improved from 2000 to 2017, with 67.0% for the 2000 PVCS and 86.0% for the 2017 PCVS. The CI value decreased from 0.29839 for the 2000 round to 0.03601 for the 2017 round. The decomposition analysis indicated that independent variables such as birth order, ethnic group, mother’s education, maternal employment status, residence, immigration status and the percentage of the total health spending allocated to public health could explain the inequity in the CPV in varying degrees. Conclusions: A sharp reduction in socioeconomic inequity in the CPV was observed from 2000 to 2017. Policy recommendations to reduce the inequality in the CPV should focus on children with the risk factors found in this study, for better outcome in full vaccination and long-lasting herd immunity.

Abstract Background The mortality of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is usually lower in females than in males, but the underlying mechanism remains largely unknown. We sought to describe the age-dependent patterns of gender disparities in NPC survival and explore the extent to which the confounder or mediation effects could explain these differences. Methods A total of 11,980 patients with NPC were reviewed. The effect of gender on cancer-specific survival (CSS) was assessed using Cox regression analyses. Two propensity score methods were conducted to control the confounding bias between genders. Restricted cubic spline regression was used to model the association of gender and age with mortality flexibly. Multiple mediation analysis was applied to estimate the direct or indirect effect of gender on CSS. Results Overall, 7026 males and 2320 females were analyzed. The crude CSS was significantly higher for females than males (10-year CSS 78.4% vs 70.3%; P < 0.001). Similar results were observed after adjusting for confounding bias. Gender disparities in NPC-specific mortality were age-dependent, where they would increase with age until peaking at age 55–60 years and decline rapidly afterward. Subgroup analyses revealed that females’ survival advantage was observed in the 18–45 age group and was more prominent in the 46–55 age group, but vanished in the > 55 age group. Either confounder or mediation effects only accounted for approximately 20% of the gender differences. Conclusions Gender disparities in cancer-specific mortality for patients with NPC were age-dependent. The differences mostly cannot be explained by confounder or mediation effects.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the age-appropriate coverage and its associated risk factors for the primary vaccination of Polio containing vaccine (PCV) and measles-containing vaccine (MCV) through the secondary use of the 2018 Zhejiang provincial coverage survey among children aged 12–23 months. Methods: Data were collected through structured pre-tested Chinese version questionnaire by face-to-face interview among 770 mothers whose children aged 12–23 months. Age-appropriate vaccination coverage was measured using Chinese vaccination schedule recommendation. Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression models were adopted to identify determinants of the age-inappropriate vaccination. Results: The age-appropriate vaccination coverage of PCV1, PCV2, PCV3, and MCV was 88.8%, 80.8%, 73.6%, and 75.7%, respectively. The risk factors associated with the age-inappropriate vaccination of PCV 1–3 dose and MCV included child’s gender, birthplace, living area, maternal education level, immigration status, monthly household income, participation of the pregnant women’s seminar, antenatal care follow-up, knowledge on vaccination. Conclusion: The proportions of age-appropriate vaccination coverage were low compared with the up-to-date coverage. Modifiable factors were associated with age-inappropriate vaccinations. Vaccination interventions should consider identified modifiable factors to improve age-appropriate vaccination coverage.

The cutting section of roadheader is often subject to impact load in the working process, which leads to the frequent failure of cutting reducer with tooth break fault. In order to obtain the dynamic response of planetary gear transmission system under fault condition, a 3-D solid model of the low speed planetary gear system of EBZ120 roadheader cutting section was established by SolidWorks software and the virtual prototype of the system under normal state, ring tooth break fault, planetary gear tooth break fault, and the sungear tooth break fault were built based on ADAMS software. The variation law and spectrum characteristics of the restraint reaction force of ring gear under different states of the system are simulated. The simulation results show that the amplitude fluctuation of the restraint reaction force is significant and has strong periodicity. Under the fault condition, the time-domain mean value of the restraint reaction force of ring gear increases, the time-domain waveform contains obvious periodic impact components, and the fault characteristics with fault frequency as side band appear in the amplitude spectrum.

Abstract Background To explore the prognostic value of early radiological response (ERR) to first‐line platinum‐containing chemotherapy in patients with metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (mNPC), as well as its correlation with the best radiological response (BRR). Patients and methods A total of 756 mNPC patients with measurable lesions who received first‐line platinum‐containing chemotherapy were enrolled in this study. ERR was defined as complete or partial response after 6 weeks of chemotherapy according to the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) 1.1. We performed survival analyses according to the radiological response after repeated chemotherapy. Log‐rank test and Cox regression were used to analyze the survival data. MXene materials have the metallic conductivity of transition metal carbides. Among them, Ti3C2TX with an accordion structure has great application prospects in the field of wearable devices. However, flexible wearable electronic devices face the problem of single function in practical application. Therefore, it is particularly important to study a flexible sensor with multiple functions for electronic skin. In this work, the near-field electrohydrodynamic printing (NFEP) method was proposed to prepare the composite thin film with a micro/nanofiber structure on the flexible substrate using a solution of poly(vinylidene fluoride)/MXene nanosheet/reduced graphene oxide (PMR) nanocomposites as the printing solution. A dual-mode flexible sensor for electronic skin based on the PMR nanocomposite thin film was fabricated. The flexible sensor had the detection capability of the piezoresistive mode and the piezoelectric mode. In the piezoresistive mode, the sensitivity was 29.27 kPa−1 and the response/recovery time was 36/55 ms. In the piezoelectric mode, the sensitivity was 8.84 kPa−1 and the response time was 18.2 ms. Under the synergy of the dual modes, functions that cannot be achieved by a single mode sensor can be accomplished. In the process of detecting the pressure or deformation of the object, more information is obtained, which broadens the application range of the flexible sensor. The experimental results show that the dual-mode flexible sensor has great potential in human motion monitoring and wearable electronic device applications.

Abstract Background With the rapid development of the high throughput detection techniques, tumor-related Omics data has become an important source for studying the mechanism of tumor progression including breast cancer, one of the major malignancies worldwide. A previous study has shown that the G2 and S phase-expressed-1 (GTSE1) can act as an oncogene in several human cancers. However, its functional roles in breast cancer remain elusive. Method In this study, we analyzed breast cancer data downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) databases and other online database including the Oncomine, bc-GenExMiner and PROGgeneV2 database to identify the molecules contributing to the progression of breast cancer. The GTSE1 expression levels were investigated using qRT-PCR, immunoblotting and IHC. The biological function of GTSE1 in the growth, migration and invasion of breast cancer was examined in MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-468 and MCF7 cell lines. The in vitro cell proliferative, migratory and invasive abilities were evaluated by MTS, colony formation and transwell assay, respectively. The role of GTSE1 in the growth and metastasis of breast cancer were revealed by in vivo investigation using BALB/c nude mice. Results We showed that the expression level of GTSE1 was upregulated in breast cancer specimens and cell lines, especially in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) and p53 mutated breast cancer cell lines. Importantly, high GTSE1 expression was positively correlated with histological grade and poor survival. We demonstrated that GTSE1 could promote breast cancer cell growth by activating the AKT pathway and enhance metastasis by regulating the Epithelial-Mesenchymal transition (EMT) pathway. Furthermore, it could cause multidrug resistance in breast cancer cells. Interestingly, we found that GTSE1 could regulate the p53 function to alter the cell cycle distribution dependent on the mutation state of p53. Conclusion Our results reveal that GTSE1 played a key role in the progression of breast cancer, indicating that GTSE1 could serve as a novel biomarker to aid in the assessment of the prognosis of breast cancer.

Abstract Background Currently, the diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients with residual cervical lymphadenopathy following radical radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy are challenging. We investigated the prognosis of NPC patients with residual cervical lymphadenopathy and assessed the diagnostic and prognostic values of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA in these patients. Methods This study included 82 NPC patients who were diagnosed with suspected residual cervical lymphadenopathy following completion of antitumor therapy. Their plasma EBV DNA levels were measured using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) before the initiation of treatment and before neck dissection. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) was performed in 21 patients. All patients had undergone neck dissection and postoperative pathological examination to identify the nature of residual cervical lymphadenopathy. The overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS), and locoregional relapse-free survival (LRRFS) were calculated using the Kaplan–Meier method and compared using the log-rank test. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to calculate hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Multivariable analysis was used to estimate the effect of potential prognostic factors on survival. Results Following a median follow-up of 52.6 months, compared with patients with negative postoperative pathological findings for residual cervical lymphadenopathy, the patients with positive findings had a significantly lower 3-year PFS rate (49.9% vs. 83.3%, P = 0.008). Among NPC patients with residual cervical lymphadenopathy, the patients with preoperative plasma EBV DNA > 0 copy/mL had a lower 3-year PFS rate than did those with no detectable EBV DNA (43.7% vs. 61.1%, P = 0.031). In addition, combining FNAC with preoperative EBV DNA detection improved the diagnostic sensitivity. Multivariable analysis demonstrated that residual cervical lymphadenopathy with positive postoperative pathological result was an independent prognostic factor for PFS and that detectable preoperative plasma EBV DNA was an independent prognostic factor for OS. Conclusions Using FNAC combined with preoperative EBV DNA detection improves the sensitivity in diagnosing NPC with residual cervical lymphadenopathy. Compared with patients with undetectable EBV DNA, patients with detectable preoperative plasma EBV DNA have worse prognosis and may require a more aggressive treatment strategy.

Superhydrophobic surfaces with excellent hydrophobic properties were prepared by chemical redox process. The surface wettability and morphology were characterized and analyzed by contact angle measurement and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The contact angle of the superhydrophobic surface is as high as 163.31°, and the sliding angle is less than 5°. The effect of different reaction time on surface morphology and wettability was investigated, the performance of the static water droplets and the dynamic anti-icing performance of the superhydrophobic surface was explored by using a self-made icing testing system, and the experimental results were analyzed by combining the one dimensional heat transfer theory and classical nucleation theory. The results show that the surface hydrophobicity is the best when the reaction is 80min. The delay icing time of static water droplets on superhydrophobic surface is about 5 times than the normal sample, icing temperature is also low 3.3℃. There is no accumulated water and ice from start to end on superhydrophobic surface when water droplets impacting the cold surface. The as-prepared superhydrophobic surfaces show excellent static and dynamic anti-icing performance.
