This thesis deals with a not very well-known topic - it analyses the journalistic and publicist work of Ladislav Smoljak in the print media, especially in the magazine Mladý svět. It aims to reveal how Smoljak approached his work as a journalist, what were the specific features of his work, with what topics he dealt, and to what extent he contributed to the image of the magazine. I also include an article bibliography of Ladislav Smoljak during his time at the editorial office of Mladý svět. In the theoretical part, I present Smoljak's biography together with an outline of the historical context and a description of the Czechoslovak media scene of the time. The practical part then analyses Smoljak's texts and assesses his role in the magazine.

Půda, jako téma ve výuce, je typickým multioborovým tématem, které může zasahovat do geografie, biologie a ekologie, a pokud se budeme zabývat i jejím složením a analýzou, zasahuje také do chemie a matematiky. Z pohledu chemika je obsah spalitelných látek ve vzorku historickým parametrem, který je v přímém vztahu k obsahu organické hmoty ve vzorku půdy a používá se k ohodnocení půd či pevných hnojiv. Tato veličina je zároveň v přímém vztahu k celkovému obsahu uhlíku, což je další obdobný parametr, který je možné v laboratoři stanovovat. Příspěvek je věnován rozboru možností transformace metod analýzy pevných vzorků do formy využitelné ve výuce chemie. Diskutovány jsou možnosti aplikace matematických metod na rozbor vztahů mezi výše uvedenými parametry a diskutováno je využití takového postupu jako mezioborového projektu v rámci výuky na různých typech škol. Soil, as a topic in education, is a typical multidisciplinary topic that can affect geography, biology and ecology, and if we deal with soil composition and analysis, it also affects chemistry and mathematics. From the chemistʼs point of view, the loss on ignition of the sample is a historical parameter that is directly related to the content of organic matter in the soil sample and it is used to rating soils or solid fertilizers. Loss on ignition is also directly related to the total carbon content, which is another similar parameter that can be determined in the laboratory. This paper is aligned to the analysis of the possible transforming the methods of solid samples analysis into a form, which is usable in the chemistry teaching. The possibilities of applying mathematical methods to the analysis of the relationships between the above parameters are discussed and the use of such a procedure as an interdisciplinary project in education at various types of schools is discussed.

This thesis is focused on a topic which, up to this point, has been mostly marginal. It pays attention to the mutual presentation of the Čapek brothers during the so-called First Republic. It aims to reveal the means they used to write about each other in the press then and what were the features and circumstances of those references. It also deals with the self- presentation of the Čapek brothers as a duo. I intend to present the relationship between Karel Čapek and Josef Čapek to the current recipient just like it could have been seen by people in former Czechoslovakia. The theoretical part explains primarily the life of both authors and their position in a world back then, but also the situation of media during the First Republic. The practical part then analyzes the mutual references and it deduces the relationship brothers had in a Czechoslovakian press.

Titrace patří k nejjednodušším metodám analytické chemie bez nároků na přístrojové vybavení. Dodnes jsou pro jednodušší analýzy využívány v praxi. Klíčové pro správné provádění titrací je korektní používání odměrného nádobí a práce s ním. V rámci tohoto bloku je uvedeno několik jednoduchých příkladů titrací s minimálními nároky na vybavení, díky kterým je možno tento způsob analýzy snadno přednést a procvičit jej se studenty. Tento material vznikl z finanční podpory Evropského sociálního fondu a státního rozpočtu České republiky v rámci projektu „Popularizace vědy a badatelsky orientované výuky“, registrační číslo CZ.1.07/2.3.00/45.0007.

The paper introduces results of project of interdisciplinary research of artifacts through modern technologies based on archaeometric study of Prehistoric and Middle Age pottery and on chemical analyses of soils around a deserted medieval village. Processes of production and use of the ceramic artifacts in the past society may be studied in a better way through modern archaeometric methods; chemical analyses of soils enable a non-destructive understanding of inner structure of areas of activities and components on archaeological sites. Chemical analyses of soils on the basis of phosphate analysis were applied on example of the deserted medieval village called Sloupek (Rokycany region) where it was possibleto define spatial structure of activities in terms of one farmstead on the basis of phosphate distribution and we were able to interpret processes related to abandonment of the site followed by organic remains. Archaeometric analyses of the settlement pottery from the Younger Bronze Age and Middle Age pottery from České Budějovice enabled us to understand the structure of the ceramic raw material and character of the pottery production. It is possible to take into consideration local or regional production of Middle Ageas well as Prehistoric pottery on the basis of the identified characteristics which was not related to any other production spheres.

The paper is focused on the methods to solutions of the crisis situation in the Czech Republic associated with the mass methanol poisoning. The emphasis is put on tasks of individual state bodies and of Integrated Rescue System during the handling of the crisis. The theoretical part describes poisonings, ways of intoxication, types of intoxicants and cases of mass poisoning by dangerous substances in the world. The practical part describes the development, causes and solutions of extraordinary event, mass methanol poisoning in the Czech Republic. The main emphasis was put on the crisis management of the Czech Republic in solving this situation.

Based on the hypothesis, we create the model, into which we will subsequently fill in other suitable variables.The aim is to get a sta-tistically significant model that meets the classical assumptions.
