Several institutional aspects within the U.S. public school system impede the delivery of adapted physical education (APE) services to disabled children, including a lack of understanding and prioritization of these services by the special education team and a lack of qualified APE professionals to deliver these services. Thus, we conducted a qualitative inquiry grounded in a critical-ableism perspective to explore special education gatekeepers' experiences and perspectives of APE. Gatekeepers included parents, physical educators, and school administrators. Using a reflexive thematic analysis, we developed four interrelated themes: (a) disregard, negative, and charity mindsets toward disability; (b) systemic challenges in valuing and prioritizing APE; (c) presence as inclusion: (un)intentional marginalization in physical education; and (d) physical education for my child was a nightmare. Purpose: There is little known about the state of teacher education programs in this field. The aim of this article is to provide a descriptive analysis of physical education and health education teacher education programs in the United States. Method: Using published curriculums, a census of active undergraduate teacher education programs and a more in-depth analysis of one program from each state based on interviews with program coordinators was conducted. Findings: Data are reported across nine categories: (a) institution and program classifications, (b) degree designations, (c) degree and major's hours, (d) enrollment, (e) program status and trends, (f) admission and graduation requirements, (g) curricular time, (h) faculty demographics, and (i) health education. Conclusions: The data show that there is a broad interpretation of what counts as physical and health teacher education in terms of curriculum, and there are significant and pressing challenges for the field to address moving forward. Academic year 2020-2021 was a challenging time to work in public-school in Philippines. Coronavirus Disease of 2019 (Covid-19) became a global outbreak. Governments around the world issued protocols to mitigate the spread of the virus including the Department of Education (DepEd). On July 1, 2020, DepEd has adopted the modular distance learning as an alternative to the classroom set up. Distribution of modules to students was the best option to ensure that learning continues amidst the outbreak. This study is a primary data analysis of qualitative responses collected to evaluate the conditions of public-school teachers who tested positive of Covid-19. The lived experiences of ten (8) teachers across three (3) School Divisions in Luzon region were captured through open-ended interviews as the teachers continued to render their services in their respective stations. A phenomenological study was conducted to discover their health and mental conditions during and after contracting the disease. A thematic framework was used to organize the results of the data from the interview conducted through alternative platform (ZOOM). Findings showed that public school teachers remained in their jobs notwithstanding the stress and anxiety triggered by fear of looming a virus which eventually led to them contracting the virus. Implications for discussions of policies under the Magna Carta for Teachers is recommended to ensure full recovery from "long haul Covid-19" a further deterioration of their physical and mental health. Teachers' Mental Health Literacy (MHL) may play an important role in public mental health prevention approaches. This systematic review and narrative synthesis aimed to identify what is known globally about the extent of secondary school teachers' MHL and the types and effectiveness of MHL interventions for secondary school teachers.PsycINFO, PubMed, ERIC, EBSCO-Psychological and behavioural sciences collection, Web of Science, and Google Scholar were searched to identify studies until 29/04/2024. Two independent reviewers screened the returns.Twenty eligible studies were reviewed. Most intervention studies were from high-income countries and used a psycho-educative approach. Pre-intervention, teachers' levels of MHL were mixed across MHL domains. Post-intervention, increases in mental health knowledge and attitudes and decreases in mental health stigma were reported. Low use of standardised MHL measures, lack of randomised controlled trials, and lack of follow-up data affect evidence quality.Interventions to improve secondary school teachers' MHL can be effective, at least in the short term. Health education teachers have a crucial role to play in delivering sexual health education in schools, with their own knowledge being key to providing comprehensive sexual health education to adolescents. The purpose of this study was to describe the sexual health education knowledge required by health education teachers in Finland. Qualitative methods were used to explore the perspectives of Finnish health education teachers using semi-structured interviews and e-forms. Data collection from 15 health education teachers took place in March and April 2023. The data were analysed using inductive content analysis. Findings highlight the importance of health education teachers having sound knowledge about: 1) the diversity of adolescent sexual health, 2) the functions of the adolescent body, 3) factors threatening adolescent sexual health, 4) factors promoting adolescent sexual health, and 5) relevant relevant forms of pedagogy. The findings from this study offer a unique perspective on the wide-ranging knowledge required by health education teachers regarding sexual health education in Finland. It is imperative that present and future health education teachers are well-trained and qualified. Both pre- and in-service training should be comprehensive and accessible to enable the delivery of high-quality sexual health education to adolescents and, consequently, the promotion of sexual health. This study aimed to evaluate the level of oral health knowledge among teachers in a city of the Brazilian Amazon region (Belem, Pará) and explore the association between teachers' knowledge and their proposed actions in the event of dental trauma accidents within the school environment. The descriptive cross‐sectional study involved 170 elementary teachers from public schools in the Metropolitan Region of Belem, Para State, Brazil. A self‐administered questionnaire with multiple‐choice questions was utilized to assess teachers' oral health knowledge across various domains. The questionnaire comprised seven targeted sections: the first section focused on demographic and professional aspects of the educators, while the remaining six sections addressed the oral health knowledge related to oral health education, dental caries, dental trauma (specifically dental avulsion), periodontal disease, visits to the dentist, and the educator's role in promoting oral health. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and χ2 tests using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS; 20.0 version). Most of the sample were female (92.2%) and around 41–60 years (36.0%). Most teachers had over 5 years of teaching experience (87.0%) and held an undergraduate degree (63.0%). A significant association was found between teaching experience and the choice of storage method for avulsed teeth following dental trauma (p = 0.005). However, the teachers examined in this study exhibited inadequate knowledge concerning the appropriate treatment for cavities and the recommended age for a child's first dental appointment. These findings underscore the crucial role teachers play in promoting oral health among students, particularly in regions characterized by social inequality and limited access to basic sanitation and healthcare services. Teachers play a critical role in school mental health. They aid in the identification and referral of students in need of mental health services and are key players in implementing interventions. Nevertheless, teachers often lack the education and training needed to support youths' mental health. Increasing teachers' mental health literacy (MHL) is recognized as a needed area of focus in improving systems' responses to youths' mental health needs, yet no current tools assess teachers' complete MHL. A measure of MHL for in‐service teachers based on current conceptualizations of MHL in the context of schools was developed and tested. The 24‐item scale was tested in a sample of 407 full‐time teachers in the United States and initial psychometric testing supports its use. The analytic strategy included an exploratory factor analysis (EFA), reliability analysis via Cronbach's α, and convergent validity analysis via zero‐order correlations between the Teachers' MHL Scale and theoretically linked constructs. The final scale includes four subscales that measure teachers' understanding of how to promote well‐being, recognize potential problems, link students in need to appropriate resources, and the link between well‐being and school success. The underlying theory supporting the tool's development and suggestions for its use are discussed. School teachers have demonstrated poor mental health and low levels of wellbeing, globally. Despite the high prevalence of depression, burnout, stress, and anxiety, few programs have been developed in collaboration with teachers that are appropriate for their needs and circumstances. The current mixed-methods study involved consultation with members of the teaching workforce in Australia to understand their preferences for a program to address their mental health and wellbeing. The sample included teachers and other key representatives from the education sector in New South Wales, Australia. There were 47 participants who completed online surveys, with a subset (n = 16) also attending two group workshops (n = 10 in the first workshop, n = 6 in the second workshop). Data were collected between May 2021 and October 2021. Descriptive statistics were calculated to summarise quantitative survey data, and thematic analysis was used to analyse qualitative data. Results from surveys and workshops found that a new approach is needed to address teacher mental health and wellbeing in schools. Participants expressed a preference for a strategy that combined a face-to-face approach with a digital component and focused on three areas: staff relationships, supportive leadership, and practical skill development. ABSTRACT BACKGROUND METHODS RESULTS CONCLUSION Schools are both learning environments for students and workplaces for faculty. Recognizing the role of organizational factors in staff health in school environments, the study aimed to explore which factors, including transformational leadership, teachers' perceived management support and HPS accreditation awards, were most associated with promoting a healthy lifestyle for teachers.A cross‐sectional study was undertaken of 137 elementary schools in 2014, involving 433 directors and 2090 teachers. Data were collected using an anonymous structured questionnaire. Hierarchical linear modeling was used to analyze both teacher‐ and school‐level factors associated with health‐promoting lifestyles.There was a significant positive correlation between teachers' overall health‐promoting lifestyle profile (HPLP‐II) scores and both perceived management support (coefficient = .98, p < .001) and transformational leadership (coefficient = .38, p = .039). All 6 HPLP‐II subscales also showed significant positive correlations with perceived management support (coefficients .12‐.24, p < .001).Supporting a healthy working atmosphere and strong principal transformational leadership are keys to enhancing teachers' health‐promoting lifestyles. Visual impairment in children has become a public health issue due to the increasing prevalence of myopia. Studies on knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of teachers regarding visual and eye health of schoolchildren is an important step before implementing further collaboration between education and healthcare systems. Such input is limited as many developing countries are early in involving teachers in school health screening programmes. This review aims to understand the level of KAP among teachers on this matter and the methodology used to conduct these studies. This scoping review was conducted using Arksey and O'Malley's framework for scoping studies. A systematic search using electronic databases (Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed and Ebscohost) was conducted to identify relevant articles, imported into the Rayyan web application for review management. A total of 463 articles were identified during the selection process, and 17 articles were eventually included in this scoping review after eligibility screening. These studies were grouped into three designs: crosssectional, intervention, and qualitative. This scoping review revealed that the level of knowledge and practice among teachers on schoolchildren's visual and eye health was low to moderate, while the level of attitude was good. Some misconceptions exist among teachers regarding children's visual and eye health. Training programmes for teachers are crucial to significantly improve their KAP levels. Most of the teachers lacked the knowledge and practice concerning children's visual and eye health. Introduction Methods Results Conclusion There is a lack of research on the effect of progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) on minimising test anxiety and enhancing sleep quality among nursing students in Arab countries, including Palestine. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of a PMR intervention programme on test anxiety and sleep quality in fourth‐year nursing students before the comprehensive examination in Palestine.A one‐group pre‐/postdesign was conducted on a group of fourth‐year nursing students before the comprehensive examination (N = 60) at Arab American University in Palestine. The PMR programme consisted of five sessions lasting 45 min over the course of 1 week and was implemented from the beginning of January to the end of January 2024.Findings indicated a significant difference in test anxiety pre‐ and post‐PMR exercise (t[59] = 19.3, p < .01). Also, a significant difference was found in sleep quality before and after the PMR exercise (t[59] = 15.4, p < .01). Additionally, no difference was found in test anxiety and sleep based on age and gender pre‐/post‐PMR intervention programme.This study proposes that PMR effectively reduces test anxiety and improves sleep quality among nursing students. Therefore, the PMR programme should be incorporated as a therapeutic intervention for nursing students and students in general and particularly those suffering from test anxiety and poor sleep quality. Background: Postsecondary students are at risk for mental health problems and there has been an overall reduction in flourishing in recent years. The aim of this study was to explore factors associated with general mental health among students from one postsecondary institution (n = 1082). Methods: The Mental Health Continuum-Short Form was used as the outcome, which categorizes individuals as being languishing (i.e., state of incomplete mental health), moderately mentally healthy, or flourishing (i.e., positive mental health). A multivariable ordered logistic regression analysis was applied to identify factors associated with more favourable dimensions of mental health. Results: Most students were moderately mentally healthy (53%), compared to flourishing (32%), and languishing (15%). Factors significantly associated with positive mental health included students who: (i) participated in meditation, (ii) participated in physical exercise, (iii) frequently experienced challenges that helped them grow, (iv) felt one's campus did enough to protect students from COVID-19, and (v) felt they were part of a campus that looked out for others. Conclusion: This provides further evidence for investing in mental health training for instructors, promoting positive coping strategies within the student population, campuswide implementation of a universal approach to health promotion, and building a sense of community. This theoretical paper presents a heuristic framework that is directed towards transformative thinking and practices in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE). The research focus and direction, embodying policy work, applies and extends Bernstein’s concepts of the pedagogic and corporeal device to offer new directions for inquiry and explore the considerations these raise for PETE professionals and their practices. The paper affirms the importance of policy work in PETE, while recognising a need for more nuanced and critical understandings of the complex interrelationships between contexts and actions, and the potential meanings generated and ascribed to different forms of policy work and identities in-situ. Attention focuses specifically on the ways in which individuals ascribe meaning to practices in PETE through everyday actions and relational behaviours, locating embodied practices and meanings as integral to policy work in PETE. The heuristic framework facilitates exploration of three sets of rules: (i) contextual rules of embodying policy work; (ii) rules of/for embodying actions; and (iii) rules of/for embodying potential meanings. Each focus is explored in turn to develop specific, yet interrelated lines of inquiry that can guide empirical work that extends insight into the policy work of PETE professionals and programmes. Studies show that significantly more teachers experience voice complaints than individuals in other professions. In order to better understand voice complaints, the researchers interviewed 30 administrators (elementary, middle, and high schools) from five school districts. Researchers analyzed the principals’ responses through a series of coding, resulting in four emerging themes: (1) the impacts of teacher voice complaints, (2) administrators’ responses to teacher voice complaints, (3) a lack of policy and infrastructure around teacher vocal health, and (4) voice enhancement systems as a type of policy. The results include citations of principals’ responses and analysis of literature that provide possible implications and suggestions for administrators. Early childhood educators (ECEs) are ideally positioned to support the development of children's fundamental movement skills (FMS). However, ECEs have little specialised training to support the development of FMS in young children. This study aimed to assess the impact of an e-Learning course on the FMS of preschool-aged children. 145 Preschool-aged children and 42 ECEs from 12 childcare centres participated in the study. ECEs in the experimental group were asked to complete the e-Learning course. A subsample of children (n = 48) was objectively assessed using the Test of Gross Motor Development 3rd Edition (TGMD-3). Additionally, parents of all participating children reported perceptions of their child's FMS to understand if they knew how well their child was progressing. Findings showed a significant increase in TGMD-3 assessed locomotor skills from baseline to follow-up in the intervention group compared to the control group and total FMS but not objective control skills. Parent-reported FMS increased in the intervention group for all locomotor, object control skills, and total FMS. However, the intervention effect for all three measurements was not significant. This document provides recommendations for faculty development in addressing implicit bias in clinical encounters and clinical learning environments. Implicit bias, which refers to unconscious associations about social identity groups, can impact clinical practice behaviors and contribute to health disparities. Purpose: This study aimed to investigate how teachers' socialization experiences influence their perceptions of and responses to bullying. Methods: Thirty in-service physical education teachers were recruited to participate. One semi-structured, individual interview was conducted with each participant lasting approximately 60 minutes. Data analysis employed inductive and deductive techniques. Results: Two themes emerged that described teachers' perceptions of and responses to bullying. These themes included: (a) socialization experiences and socializing agents influence teachers' perceptions and behaviors in relation to bullying, and (b) teachers have developed strategies to address bullying but also experience significant challenges. Discussion: The current study suggests that while enrolled in a physical education teacher education program, preservice teachers should be provided greater knowledge about and strategies for addressing bullying. Health sciences instructors hold a wide range of opinions about generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) such as ChatGPT, Bing, and Bard; however, many are uncertain about guiding students on how to use technology for assigned writing. Our survey of 62 public health instructors at a single institution highlighted their perceived benefits, limitations, and concerns about student use of GenAI for assigned writing. Perceived benefits included the completion of tasks unrelated to relevant learning such as spellchecking and reference formatting, as well as for certain writing activities such as brainstorming. Several identified the preparation for future workplace activities as a meaningful benefit. Important limitations and concerns included the worry that GenAI would inhibit learning, as well as ethical and equity-related concerns. Nearly half of instructors expressed concerns about whether using GenAI tools constitutes plagiarism or violates academic integrity. Nearly half of instructors also indicated concern about being able to detect whether a student completed an assignment with GenAI tools. Developing thoughtful guidance on technology use for assigned writing is important as it sets standards for academic integrity and supports learning. We used the survey data and applied backward design principles to develop the Brave New Words framework and three-step process described in this paper. This framework is intended to help instructors think through and ultimately develop guidelines for students on whether and how they should use technology for assigned writing. Despite increased recognition of the importance and need for pedagogical training for public health and health promotion instructors in best-practices and inclusivity, formal training is often overlooked. This disregard for pedagogical training necessitates exploration of alternative and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning such as generative AI. This paper describes applied uses of generative AI, specifically ChatGPT, to enhance pedagogy in public health and health promotion education in the areas of curriculum design, instructional strategies, assessment and feedback, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Generative artificial intelligence (genAI) technology is used among students, yet it remains unclear how public health students and instructors perceive it to be effective in a learning environment. We described how and why public health students and instructors are using genAI technology along with their perceived benefits and limitations of using genAI, noting where perceptions overlap. We surveyed public health students and instructors at a higher education institution in the United States. Student survey questions covered which genAI technologies they used, which activities they used genAI for, and perceived benefits and limitations of using genAI. Questions for instructors covered which genAI technology they used, course activities genAI was integrated, and perceived benefits and limitations of using genAI. Student respondents (n = 300) indicated using genAI technology for writing or clarifying concepts. Students and instructors (n = 62) agreed genAI technology could save time on tedious tasks and will be part of our future workforce. They agreed that appropriate use in the classroom will better prepare future professionals. Alternatively, students and instructors indicated genAI may impede learning, produce inaccurate information, and pose opportunities for unethical behavior. While students and instructors agree on many aspects of genAI technology, instructors should be explicit about their expectations and rationale for use of genAI technology in classrooms. This research note suggests the emergence of Artificial Intelligence-powered chatbots like ChatGPT pose challenges to the future of higher education. We as a field should pay attention to issues and opportunities associated with this technology across learning, teaching, and research spaces. We propose ignoring, or being indifferent to, predictions about what technologies like Artificial Intelligence-powered chatbots can do can cause us to do "dumb things." All health and physical education teacher education faculty members should make efforts to learn about these tools to facilitate informed, solution-focused decisions about whether and where to leverage them. We highlight the importance of maintaining sociocritical perspectives when considering use of digital technologies to understand and address digital (in)equity and promote equitable practices. We conclude by emphasizing the need for field-specific consensus statements to guide ethical and appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence-powered chatbots, to ensure the value of these tools is harnessed for the good of the society. Early childhood special education (ECSE) professionals were forced to drastically change their methods of providing services as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this qualitative study, we conducted interviews to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted ECSE professionals both personally and professionally. ECSE professionals described challenges as well as unexpected positive outcomes associated with continuing to work in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Professionals also explained the importance of increasing parent interaction through coaching interventions while engaging in remote service delivery. The findings conclude with professionals' discussions of how the field may be impacted by the pandemic in the future. To describe and analyze how Extension nutrition educators in one state system transitioned from primarily face-to-face to virtual nutrition education programming. This exploratory case study gathered data through nutrition educator interviews, virtual program delivery guides, and nutrition educators' program impact statements. Southeastern State Extension system in late 2022. The sample included 15 participant interviews, multiple virtual program delivery guides, and 43 program impact summaries. The use of Cultural Historical Activity Theory as a framework to explore educators' learning process with virtual program delivery and how this learning influenced community nutrition program delivery choices. Qualitative data was analyzed with ATLAS.ti using a priori coding. Two key findings emerged from the data: educators were more likely to deliver programs in a virtual setting when the programs aligned with their values and skills, and educators preferred flexible program curricula and delivery guides because it allowed them to address their community's specific needs. Educators plan to continue to deliver certain community nutrition programs virtually. Dysfunctional work environments are characterized by the presence of psycho-social risks, such as workplace bullying (WB): hostile, systematic, and planned behaviors toward other workers in order to get them to leave the organization they work for. The aims of this study are (1) to analyze the prevalence of WB in a sample of teachers and (2) to determine the relationship between socio-demographic and socio-labor variables in relation to three study groups: teacher victims of WB, violent behaviors, and null or low violence. The sample consists of 3442 teachers working in publicly regulated educational centers located in the province of Valencia (Spain). Estimated frequencies, cross-tabulations, and effect sizes were analyzed using SPSS 24. The following results were obtained: (1) 12.26% were potential WB cases, and (2) potential victims of WB were not influenced by the socio-demographic and socio-labor variables proposed. The results obtained did not make it possible to determine a single profile of a teacher victim of WB. It is recommended that training protocols be developed to help teachers recognize and manage WB more effectively. This will improve their health, well-being, and performance in educational centers. Introduction Recruit training is the initial entry for enlisted personnel in the military. The Services execute gender-integrated recruit training differently. The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) maintains same-gender platoons led by same-gender drill instructors in integrated companies; further integration occurs at select training events. The other Services train recruits in gender-integrated units with mixed-gender drill instructor teams. We examine recruits' experiences and perceptions of gender integration at recruit training, their desired level of integration, and preferences for increasing gender integration, comparing by Service and gender. Materials and Methods Recruit perspectives and experiences were captured in a 19-question survey (n = 632) and 90-min focus groups (n  = 260) near graduation from recruit training. Data were collected from June to November 2021. Because of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic restrictions, the Navy and Air Force were not conducting gender-integrated recruit training during data collection. Outcome variables were compared cross-Service by gender and within Service by gender using chi-squared tests or Fisher's exact tests, as appropriate; focus group data were analyzed using initial and secondary coding schemes. Three USMC training models, varied by level of integration, were also analyzed (Male-Only, Series Track, and Integrated Company). Results Significant gender differences across and within Service emerged in recruits' experience being trained by an opposite-gender instructor. Male recruits had significant differences by Service (P  < .001), and USMC female recruits reported being trained by male instructors more than their male peers by female instructors (Series Track P  = .002; Integrated Company P  < .001). In the focus groups, recruits described common differences with how men and women embodied being a drill instructor. Significant gender differences across (both male and female P  < .001) and within Service were reported for closeness of training with opposite-gender peers (Air Force P  = .028; U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Integrated Company P  = .010; Army P  = .048), an expected finding given varied integration during data collection. Male and female recruits had significant differences by Service in their preference for integration at the lowest unit level (both male and female P  < .001), with those who experienced integrated training showing higher levels of endorsement. In the focus groups, recruits articulated benefits and challenges of gender-integrated recruit training. Significant gender differences across Service emerged in preferences for more integration in specific training activities. Within Service, female USMC Integrated Company recruits wanted more integration in tactical/field, physical fitness, and classroom training than their male peers (P  < .001 for all). In the focus groups, USMC recruits of both genders desired more integrated training events, particularly those involving combat and tactical skill development. Conclusions This study provided an opportunity to examine recruit perspectives on gender-integrated training. Services valuing opposite-gender instructor exposure in recruit training must ensure that male recruits are being taught and led by female instructors given disproportionate demographics. Recruits who experienced integrated training were more supportive of integration, indicating that this experience may increase their support for gender-integrated training units and environments. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain Japanese high school health and physical education (HPE) teachers’ positioning of themselves and others, as shown through a storyline, when they teach and assist Japanese Language Learner (JLL) students in academic and social contexts.Seven HPE teachers participated in this study by sharing their thoughts, opinions, and experiences related to teaching JLL students in PE. The teachers had between 3 and 23 years of experience teaching PE, and 2–9 years of experience teaching JLL students in high school PE.This study utilized a descriptive-qualitative design using an in-depth, semi-structured interview approach [Seidman, I. 2019. The implications of teacher absenteeism are incommensurable. While absenteeism is a longstanding issue in education, there is a gap in the current literature addressing teachers' mental health and absenteeism after schools reopened following the first wave of the COVID-19 virus. This qualitative descriptive study is anchored on the Job Demands-Job Resources (JD-R) model of organizational stress and well-being. The purpose of the study was twofold: a) to describe teacher absenteeism related to teachers' mental health stemming from the pandemic's stressful job demands after schools reopened in the school year 2021-2022 in two Eastern regions of the U.S., and b) to describe the availability of job resources such as administrative mental health support after schools reopened in the school year 2021-2022 in two Eastern regions of the U.S. The study sample consisted of 12 educators: Four teachers and eight administrators were selected using a purposive sample strategy. Semi-structured interviews were carefully designed to extract relevant data in alignment with the research questions. Thematic data analysis was conducted based on the study's method and design. The study results revealed four themes: New and strenuous job demands, teachers' mental health decline, mental health absenteeism, and availability of mental health administrative support to mitigate mental health absenteeism. With the rapid development of science and technology, the era of big data has arrived comprehensively. Based on cognitive big data, this study conducted a survey of over 265 university teachers through questionnaire surveys. Teachers play a vital part in society, and maintaining good mental health is critical to their effectiveness in the classroom as well as to the students they guide in their personal growth and professional advancement. The fundamental mechanism that underlies the effect of social support on the psychological well-being of teachers was investigated in the present research. Big data is not only about resources and technology, but this article is based on big data processing technology. A quantitative and qualitative research design was employed, utilizing surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions to gather rich and in-depth data regarding the psychological mental health and social support of the teachers. The study participants included a purposive sample of teachers from a local college teacher. The results of the study indicated that college teachers had a substantial number of concerns regarding both their mental health and their overall welfare. Most respondents expressed anxiety regarding their current responsibilities as well as their capacity to balance their professional and personal lives. This underscores the need for good task management as well as the building of welcoming workplaces for employees. In addition, depression, stress, and anxiety were all identified as important difficulties, which highlights the requirement for mental health support services that are particularly tailored to the requirements of teachers. The findings underlined the substantial impact that perceived social support plays in the mental well-being of teachers, giving light to the issues that teachers confront as well as the support systems that they rely upon. The research highlights how vital it is for educational institutions to cultivate an atmosphere of support for their faculty members to improve their emotional health and overall well-being. The research competence of university professors is an important aspect, because they are in charge of training future professionals. The objective of the present study was to determine the research competencies of university health sciences teachers. Basic cross-sectional research carried out in a sample of 169 health sciences teachers from four Peruvian public universities. The data were collected online through a 31-item Likert-type research competency scale that evaluates the dimensions of Identification, generation and scientific dissemination. Statistical analysis was performed with the non-parametric Chi square test. The results show that 70% of the teachers have good research competence and according to the relationship analysis, it can be shown that there is a relationship between the research competence of the university teachers and the university where they carry out their work by obtaining a p- value less than 5%. Likewise, according to dimensions, the lowest competence developed by teachers is scientific dissemination, observing that 27% of the total develop this competence. By harnessing the power of 21st-century, the use of cloud computing resources in higher education has emerged as a hot area for deploying innovative technologies in teaching and learning. Accordingly, the core objective of the present study is to analyze the inclination towards the utilization of cloud-based technologies among pre-service teachers in the present digital environment. Based on studies reviewed, a research model was developed with five usability factors - perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived security, frequency of usage, and behavior intention. Quantitative survey method was used to collect data among 252 preservice teachers in Karaikudi locality. Factor Analysis, Percentage Analysis, Pearson Correlation Analysis, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis were employed for data analysis Statistical analysis of the data indicates that pre-service teachers exhibit a favorable inclination towards using cloud-based technologies with a moderate extent, which is predominantly influenced by perceived ease of use. It is evident from the present study that pedagogical approaches need to change for successful integration of technology in future classrooms and for the development of sustainable educational practices. The perceptions of blended learning teachers on the usefulness of different techniques in different aspects are tested: the technique improves the understanding of content and application of knowledge, to test the perception of learning; the technique facilitates blended learning; and the technique improves autonomy, commitment, and the perception of achievement with respect to the subject, to test aspects related to learning. This is an exploratory study with a preexperimental design. Thus, for this proposal, a mixed method is used with a scale questionnaire to obtain quantitative measures of mean and standard deviation, in addition to using the ANOVA test to check that the differences are significant, and an interview with some participants to complement with qualitative information and deepen the results obtained. Participants highlighted their combination and considered that self-regulated learning strategies are especially useful for monitoring progress and perception of achievement; flipped classroom to improve autonomy, which in conjunction with self-regulated learning improves understanding; and cooperative projects to improve understanding and application of knowledge when learning among peers. The objective of the present study was to investigate the effects of irrational beliefs and perceived support from school management personnel, known as "line care," on the mental health of teachers. The participants consisted of elementary and junior high school teachers. The study employed questionnaires including the Japanese version of the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale to quantify depressive symptoms, the Teacher's Irrational Belief Test to assess irrational thought patterns, and the Line Care Scales to evaluate the level of support offered by school management personnel. Through hierarchical regression analyses, the findings demonstrated a positive association between higher levels of perceived line care and reduced depression. Furthermore, when irrational belief levels were lower among female teachers, self-directed line care exhibited a negative association with depression. This study suggested that an increase in line care provided by management personnel, whether directed towards individual teachers or the entire teaching staff, is associated with lower levels of depression. Background: Despite the extensive benefits associated with the provision of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) within a school context, many initial teacher training programs inadequately prepare pre-service teachers to deliver this content. Programs that do provide such instruction do not routinely share details of their curriculum, syllabi, or evaluation data. Methods: This paper outlines the structure of an Australian undergraduate course for pre-service teachers that focuses on instruction in CSE. This course spans twelve teaching weeks, aligns with evidence-based principles for sexuality education, prioritises experiential learning and requires students to complete authentic, practical assessment tasks. Formative, process, and short-term impact evaluation data, based upon five years of delivery, are described. Results: Students completing this course reported statistically significant improvements in attitudes associated with CSE and comfort in facilitating all domains of learning (knowledge, attitudes, skills). Conclusions: Positive process and short-term impact data provide strong evidence for the provision of CSE to pre-service teachers, regardless of future teaching speciality. This study examined the potential role of critical reflection as a tool to support pre-service early childhood teacher interns in understanding and questioning pedagogical choices witnessed in their preschool internships while developing their own socially responsible teaching capacity. This study contributes to the field of critical reflection in teacher education by emphasizing an analysis of power, using Patricia Hill Collins' matrices of power to understand the complexities of systemic injustices and identify potential solutions. The authors conducted an analysis of students' critical reflections, which were completed weekly during their quarter-long preschool internship. The authors found that a critical analytic lens, using power, created intentional space to pause and expand interpretations of unequal and inequitable dynamics within the students' preschool internship experiences, and had the potential to impact their subsequent pedagogical decisions. The digital competences of teachers are a key variable for integrating ICT into the teaching-learning process. Their development has become one of the main training problems affecting the educational field in general, and even more so in the training of Health Science professionals. The purpose of the study was to find out the main barriers to technological training encountered by secondary school teachers who teach health education subjects in Seville (Spain) and its province. The research design is based on a descriptive ethnographic research perspective, where 60 interviews were analysed. Professional identity formation (PIF) in health professions education involves transforming from a layperson to a health professional through a process encompassing individual, relational, and collective identity development. This article explores the key elements of PIF and interprofessional identity formation within health professions educators, highlighting the importance of guided self-reflection, role models, and core values. The work described herein integrates various theoretical frameworks, including social identity theory and self-determination theory, to understand PIF's complexity. The annual Health Professions Educators' Summer Symposium (HPESS) serves as the educational setting for examining these elements through innovative teaching exercises. The symposium's immersive experience fosters collaboration and interprofessionalism among healthcare administration, medicine, and nursing faculty. Directed creativity exercises, identity mapping, and the TRIZ (Teoriya Resheniya Izobretatekskikh Zadatch) methodology are employed to explore and enhance PIF and interprofessional identity formation. Evaluation of the symposium indicates a positive impact on participants' professional development, suggesting that such active learning approaches can be effective in promoting identity formation in health professions education. Introduction: Job burnout has severe consequences for teachers and students. This study aimed to measure the direct effects of personality traits on job burnout-stress syndrome among allied health educators. Furthermore, teachers' digital competence was evaluated as a personal job resource for mitigating the negative impact of burnout. Methods: This study examined direct relationships between work-related stress syndrome and personality traits, namely, extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience. Data was collected from 334 allied health institution teachers through a self-reported questionnaire. Linear regression analysis was used to test for direct effects. Moderating effects were evaluated using Andrew F Hays PROCESS macro v2.16.3. Results: All five personality traits had a significant negative relationship to burnout and teachers' digital competence moderated the relationship between personality traits and burnout. This study's findings provide evidence, that personality is significantly related to job burnout among allied health educators. Conclusion: These empirical findings conclude that personality traits are related to burnout in the non-Western culture of Pakistan. Furthermore, teachers' digital competence acts as a personal job resource and potential moderator in the current digital working environment. Purpose: Due to the scope of practice of speech-language pathology (SLP) expanding considerably in recent times, there is reduced emphasis on certain communication conditions within the curricula of SLP university programs. Stuttering and cluttering are neglected components of such curricula, despite the complex clinical skill set required to work with these client groups. Evaluation of the content and quality of modules on stuttering and cluttering is warranted to ensure that SLP students are graduating with adequate competence and confidence for supporting people with these conditions. This tutorial, based on a review of the literature, aims to provide guidance to educators who are designing or revising such modules. Method: The All Ireland Society for Higher Education (AISHE) model for module design provides a practical and theoretically underpinned guide to educators in higher education on the design of a new module or the review of an existing one. The model’s seven key components are discussed, and their application to a module on stuttering and cluttering is outlined. Results: The AISHE model provides a systematic and user-friendly approach to module design in SLP university programs. It supports educators who are designing a new module or revising a module currently being taught on stuttering and cluttering. Conclusions: Educators are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the seven components of the AISHE model and to use it as a tool to design or revise modules on stuttering and cluttering. Background: School health education (SHE) serves as a primary pedagogical aspect of public health. This study aims to explore the curricula of preservice schoolteachers, examining whether graduate courses in Greek universities include SHE, how it is structured, and whether critical pedagogy principles are integrated. Methods: A corpus of n = 21 documents was compiled, encompassing all educational departments in Greek higher education, including Departments of Early Childhood Education and Care (n = 3), Departments of Preschool Education (n = 9), and Departments of Primary Education (n = 9). Results: Content analysis revealed the presence of SHE in 11 out of 21 educational departments. Thematic analysis uncovered significant variability in the curricula, with greater emphasis placed on health-related topics rather than the methodologies and values of SHE. Critical pedagogy principles were not explicitly evident in the curricula, while a persistent biomedical orientation left little room for the development of concepts related to social justice. Conclusions: This study represents the first of its kind in Greece and among the few internationally to examine preservice training for schoolteachers in SHE. The findings underscore the need for revisions to align with the key lessons learned from the major public health crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is imperative to acknowledge that vulnerabilities have been exacerbated, and inequalities widened, necessitating a reassessment of current approaches to health education within teacher training programs. Since psychological and social factors are especially prominent among the multiple causes of eating disorders, we argue that school, a meeting place among equals and thus a locus for the transmission of values and attitudes, can play an important role in preventing these disorders. This article's main objective is to verify whether the physical education (PE) class can become an arena for transferring and learning that prevent eating disorders, analyzing teachers' perceptions of the program development "Psychology for Nutrition and Physical Activity in the Prevention of Eating Disorders" (P-NAF) and specifically: (1) analyzing what teachers know and believe about preventing eating disorders; (2) analyzing the relationship between PE sessions and the acquisition of skills for the prevention of eating disorders; and (3) verifying whether the strategies proposed in the program P-NAF help teachers develop skills for the prevention of eating disorders. We conducted semi-structured interviews with physical education teachers (six women and six men) from five educational institutions in southern Spain. We organized their responses into four blocks: (1) self-esteem, (2) social skills, (3) satisfaction with body image, and (4) nutrition. The results show that physical education teachers are poorly trained in eating disorders, in their detection, as well as their treatment. In particular, there is little communication between health professionals and teachers to provide the information needed to develop effective intervention programs. However, after participating in the Psychology for Nutrition and Physical Activity program, the teachers improved both their knowledge and educational tools when it comes to transmitting that knowledge. This study aimed to assess the impact of online dyslexia training on the knowledge and beliefs of 64 pre-service special education and primary school teachers regarding dyslexia. The Scale of Knowledge and Beliefs about Developmental Dyslexia was utilised to gauge participants' understanding and perspectives on dyslexia. The training specifically targeted the enhancement of early literacy, reading fluency, and reading comprehension skills in children with dyslexia over 2 weeks. Results indicated a significant improvement in participants' knowledge and beliefs concerning dyslexia following the online training. These findings suggest that the online dyslexia training holds promise in enhancing pre-service teachers' grasp of dyslexia. The study discusses limitations and provides recommendations for future research to further refine online training strategies and address persistent challenges in assisting students with dyslexia. This study explores the multifaceted nature of occupational fatigue among special education teachers, highlighting its manifestation through low performance, lack of motivation, emotional exhaustion, and a sense of monotony. In the research, phenomenology design within qualitative methodology was utilised. The study group consists of a total of 10 special education teachers working in 7 different schools in the provincial centre of Düzce, who were determined by convenient sampling technique. In the study, data were collected face-to-face with a semi-structured interview form in the autumn term of the 2023-2024 academic year. Content analysis was used to analyse the data. As a result of the analysis, a total of three main themes were identified. These themes are "Definition and Symptoms of Occupational Fatigue", "Causes and Sources of Occupational Fatigue" and "Occupational and Personal Effects of Occupational Fatigue". According to the findings, special education teachers experience professional fatigue due to difficult conditions in schools, excessive workload, and low learning speed of students. Occupational fatigue has a negative impact on the physical and mental health of special education teachers. In order to overcome this kind of fatigue, strategies such as resting, engaging in various hobbies, and orienting towards professional development are preferred. The findings of the research show that this situation has the potential to lead to more negative results if the professional fatigue of special education teachers is not eliminated.
