Scientific publication is an essential part of research dissemination, irrespective of the productivity effects on lecturers' careers. Therefore, this study aims to determine the internal and external factors inhibiting the productivity of sports lecturers' publication in international journals. This is qualitative descriptive research with a survey method and questionnaire used to collect data from 74 sports lecturers in Indonesia by using Google form. The data were further analysed to reduce the number of the original variables using the factor analysis method with the validity tests includes KMO (Kaiser Meyer Olkin), Bartlett, and MSA (Measure of Sampling Adequacy) used for reliability. The results showed that the sports lecturer's writing ability and cost are responsible for inhibiting publications' productivity in international journals as opposed to gender analysis. The majority had limited time to write because most of their activities were carried out in the field. Grants offered by both the government and universities are expected to be absorbed to support the sports lecturers' publication activities in Indonesia. Further studies need to be carried out by analysing the college type, academic position, and age as considerations for stakeholders to take strategic steps to overcome publication challenges.

Background. The rise in cardiovascular diseases has necessitated implementing effective interventions to improve cardiorespiratory endurance. Objectives. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of interval training (IT), particulary high-intensity interval training (HIIT), in enhancing cardiorespiratory endurance across various demographics. IT, characterized by high-intensity exercise followed by recovery periods, has gained attention for its potential to improve key cardiovascular markers such as VO2max and cardiovascular efficiency. Materials and methods. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using multiple databases, adhering to the PRISMA guidelines. From 893 initially screened articles, eight studies met the inclusion criteria. These studies examined the effects of IT, especially HIIT, on cardiorespiratory endurance across various population groups, including sedentary individuals, athletes, and older adults. Metrics such as VO2max and cardiovascular efficiency were the primary outcomes measured. Results. The findings indicate that IT, especially HIIT, consistently improves VO2max and overall cardiovascular fitness in diverse populations. HIIT has been observed to outperform moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) in generating faster cardiovascular adaptations. Despite its benefits, the high intensity of IT requires careful individualization to mitigate the risk of injury, particularly in populations with lower baseline fitness levels. Conclusions. This review concludes that IT is an effective and time-efficient method for improving cardiorespiratory endurance. It should be considered a viable option in both clinical and athletic populations. This research could have significant implications for improving mental conditioning practices in sports. By establishing the validity of this questionnaire, researchers and coaches can better understand the relationship between self-talk and mental toughness, leading to more effective interventions and training programs that enhance athletes' resilience and competitive edge. This study aimed to validate its psychometric properties to detect the self-talk of athletes and how it affects their mental toughness. The participants were 93 Athlete in martial arts and game sports (83 Male and 10 Female with Age; M=24.35, SD=7.338) in Bekasi, Indonesian athletes. Data were collected randomly in an online form. Rasch analysis was utilized to evaluate the validity and reliability of the self-talk questionnaire in the Indonesian version with 5 Likert scales, and linear regression was used for hypothesis analysis. The results showed that the self-talk questionnaire in the Indonesian version achieved validity and reliability criteria based on Rasch parameters with five rating scales. The questionnaire data revealed strong positive connections between self-talk and mental toughness. Challenge had the largest effect on negative self-talk, while control had the largest effect on positive self-talk. In conclusion, self-talk has a significant impact on athletes’ mental toughness. The goal of this instructional style is to help students become more proficient at the floor exercise roll by using a game-based approach and other forms of media. The purpose of this research is to provide evidence for the efficacy of a model for teaching the fundamentals of the floor exercise roll through the medium of a video game in junior high school. Three subject matter experts and three media specialists evaluated the research and validated the learning model using a set of established criteria. This study is occurring within the product development phase with ten stage. A questionnaire was utilised to obtain data for determining the model's accuracy. Descriptive percentages were used to assess the data. The average model validity ratings found in this research show that the material expert validator is 83.33 percent valid and the media expert validator is 89.4 percent valid. The validity score generated by the combination of the three validators is very high quality. Consequently, it is reasonable to infer that the floor exercise roll basic technique learning model based on a game is genuine and can be applied in the context of school-based sports education. Sports educators and curriculum designers can use the favourable feedback from material and media experts to inform the design of more effective learning models for students to become proficient in floor exercises and fundamental rolling technique. Rapid Prototyping (RP) is a technology used to incrementally shape products or add material using 3D printing equipment. 3D printing is extensively utilized throughout several industries, particularly in the medical sector. This study aims to make a valuable contribution to the field by specifically focusing on the manufacturing of foot prosthetics for patients who have undergone below-knee amputations. The design step on Solidwork software is initiated, followed by the realization of the chosen design utilizing a 3D printing machine, which utilizes PLA as the preferred material. The main focus of this study is to optimize the manufacturing process in order to determine the parameters that result in the most effective production of foot prosthesis, while minimizing the time required for machining. Optimization analysis revealed that the most effective parameters for producing PLA foot prosthesis using a 3D printing machine are a layer height of 0.1 mm, infill density of 100%, print speed of 100 mm/s, and nozzle temperature of 210°C. Lateral cone jump exercises are plyometric, involving jumping over cones while utilizing the Polar H10 assistive device to monitor heart rate intensity during each jump. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of cone jump training on the frequency of jumps and its impact on explosive power in the leg muscles. This type of lateral cone jump training aims to enhance physical conditioning by executing lateral jumps toward cones, with the intensity gauged by the number of cones cleared. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) aims to improve cardiorespiratory fitness, promote fat burning, and increase muscle strength in a relatively short training time. Path analysis was employed for data processing and analysis. The statistical software utilized included SPSS for direct influence and the Sobel Calculator for indirect influence to determine the outcomes of both pre-test and post-test assessments. Following the completion of the lateral interval cone jump exercise by 40 high school female students, it was observed that the variable representing the number of jumps had a statistically significant effect on leg muscle explosive power, with a significance level of 0.040 < a (0.05). The total coefficient of determination derived from path analysis equated to 0.320, indicating that 32% of the variance in leg muscle explosive power among high school sports students could be attributed to the lateral cone jump training variables and the number of jumps, while the remaining 68% could be influenced by other variables not incorporated in the study. Regarding the strength of the research model, the coefficient of determination of 0.32 places it within the moderate or medium category. The positive sign of the coefficient suggests that an increase in the number of jumps correlates with higher explosive power in the leg muscles. An Athletes thought process in coordinating the sensory system and motor system can be assessed by reaction time. At hand reaction time, good visual and motor hand coordination will provide a quick response to hand movements, Good reaction time is very important in karate, as it allows early identification of an opponent's body movement or attack which allows decisive or evasive action to be taken if necessary. The aim of this study is to examine how two types of reaction speed exercises, modified directional hand movement and ball release with eye-hand coordination as an attribute variable, affect gyaku zuki chudan punch speed. The method utilized in this study was an experiment with a treatment design by level 2 x 2 on 111 junior karate athletes aged 16-17 years in Bekasi, Indonesia. This study used a random selection approach to choose 60 persons, who were then separated into four groups. This study's device for measuring gyaku zuki chudan punch speed was punching speed test. Meanwhile, the ball-catching was used as an eye-hand coordination test tool. The results show that the modified directional hand movement exercise has a greater effect than ball release on the gyaku zuki chudan punch speed. There is an interaction between reaction speed and eye-hand coordination exercises on the gyaku zuki chudan punch speed. That athletes who have high eye-hand coordination are better if they are trained with modified directional hand, and athletes who have low eye-hand coordination are better if they are trained with ball release. The study highlights that dynamic balance is a critical element in martial arts, and it is essential for every martial arts athlete to have quick and powerful movements that require precise body control. The Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) is a dynamic balance test that measures the ability to maintain balance while reaching in multiple directions, the normalized reach distance values of the SEBT can be used as an index of dynamic postural control and to evaluate the dynamic balance of lower limbs in 8 selective directions to determine potential risk of injury. The study aimed to validate the modified star excursion balance test (mSEBT). The modified star excursion balance test (mSEBT) in this research is a widely used tool to assess dynamic postural stability in athletes. It involves performing the range of motion in eight different directions based on time. The participants included 68 undergraduate students in the physical education, sport, and recreation study program at Universitas Islam 45, Indonesia (age: M=20.11, SD=0.38). Rasch analysis was utilized to evaluate the validity and reliability of the the modified star excursion balance test (mSEBT) and correlation was to hypothesis analysis. The results confirm that the mSEBT is valid and reliable measure for both test. In conclusions, martial arts athletes must possess the ability to maintain dynamic balance for an extended period of time, and the mSEBT can be used as a measuring tool to determine the ability to maintain dynamic balance in martial arts athletes with the mSEBT Based on Longest Time (LT) test procedure. This study aimed to determine the efficacy of problem-based learning and the flipped classroom model combined with an Android application based on biomechanical analysis to improve the learning outcome of pencak silat and focused on teaching students the movement of a single artistic category of pencak silat. The following three research questions were formulated to guide the purposes of this study. (1) What is the evidence of the reliability and validity of the learning outcomes of pencak silat single artistic instrument? (2) Is there any significant item difficulty functioning (DIF) detected on items based on gender? (3) Is problem-based learning or flipped classrooms more effective at improving the learning outcomes of pencak silat? This research included 76 physical education students from Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi in Indonesia (age: M=20.51, SD=0.49; gender: 59 males and 17 females). The test procedures were used to measure the learning outcome of pencak silat with 50 single artistic empty-hand moves. Rasch analysis was utilized to evaluate the validity and reliability and to check item difficulty functioning based on gender. An Independent t-test was used for hypothesis analysis. A video with biomechanical analysis of pencak silat in the Android application was created with the Kinovea application and the RAD Studio 10.3 software developer. Based on data and statistical analysis, there was a significant effect (P = 0.05) of the problem-based learning model integrated with the Android application based on higher biomechanical analysis for improving the learning outcomes of a single artistic category of pencak silat and item difficulty functioning (DIF) item based on gender. Jurus is a series of basic movements for the upper and lower body, which are used as a guide to mastering the use of advanced techniques of pencak silat when practiced individually or in pairs which included F8 of jurus 6, and G5, G10, and G11 of jurus 7. This learning design may be the right formula to improve student learning outcomes of pencak silat. Introduction: Handball is a dynamic sport played in numerous countries. One of the important factors in scoring goals is throwing velocity, but training knowledge is based mostly on practical experience given the limited scientific studies devoted to this game. To fill this void, the current research investigated the influence of resistance band training for forearms on the throwing velocity of university handball players. Materials and methods: This study recruited 28 male university handball athletes with an average age of 20.7±0.8 years, a stature of 172.2±0.1, a body mass of 68.5 (±4.6), and a VO2 max of 48.2 (±3.4). Of these participants, 14 were randomly assigned to an experimental group (subjected to resistance band training), and the remaining athletes served as controls. Both groups underwent pre-and post-tests, which covered throwing velocity (7 m jump shot test), hand grip, and ball accuracy tests. For eight weeks, both groups attended regular handball training sessions (three per week), but the experimental group also participated in a program specifically aimed at strengthening the forearm muscle region. The program involved two resistance band exercises after the general warm-up in each regular session. Results: Pre- and post-tests were carried out to analyze each player's throwing velocity and assess the effects of the strength training program. Statistically significant differences (p ≤ 0.05) in throwing velocity were found between the experimental group, who presented an improvement of 8%, and the control group, who showed no improvement. Conclusion: The results suggest that an increase in the strength of the forearm muscle can contribute to an increase in throwing velocity and an enhancement in the kinetic chain that underlies throwing in handball. Competition in martial art sports depends on body weight of the athletes so they can compete in the right weight class. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of aerobic interval training on overweight national elite athletes based on their body mass index (BMI), VO2max, and basal pulse rate. This study used purposive sampling of eight national Pencak Silat elite athletes (6 males and 2 females who were 23.75+4.55 years old with heights of 171.63+6.32 cm), who were in the sub phase of special preparation, as the subjects. The athletes lived in the athlete village, and the food was the exact condition. The Aerobic Interval (AI) training was 67-77 min per session twice a week for 5 weeks and with warm-up and cool down for 10-15 min for each session. AI training was performed for 5 min with 80-85% intensity of HRmax (controlled by Polar) and a rest interval of 1 min or with a 5:1 ratio of training to rest. Polar produces a series of heart rate monitoring devices and accessories for sports training and fitness, as well as measuring heart rate variability. The weight, BMI, body fat percentage, muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, and VO2max showed significant differences (p < 0.05) after five weeks of AI training. However, the AI training did not produce significant differences in the measured variables, i.e. the percentage of water, protein, visceral fat, bone density, biological age, and basal pulse, in the overweight Pencak Silat elite athletes.
