Background: The diagnosis of abrupt cardiac arrest and activation of the emergency response system, followed by resuscitation and fast defibrillation, is known as Basic Life Support (BLS) (BLS). 1 It's vital to emphasise the necessity of teaching basic life support (BLS) to nursing professionals so that they can be equipped with BLS information and be able to handle critical cases in their clinical setting. Aim: - The aim of this study is to assess is to check effectiveness of the in-service education program on knowledge regarding BLS among the Nursing Professionals. Methods: This is an Experimental research study, the data related to knowledge regarding BLS was collected among 300 Professional Nurses before and after the administration of the Hands-on training program. Results: According to the data, out of 300 nurses tested, 260 (86.66%) had low knowledge, 40 (13.33%) had regular knowledge, and none had a good understanding of BLS. Out of 300 Nurses assessed, only 06 (2%) exhibited poor knowledge, 119 (39.66%) had moderate knowledge, and 175 (58.33%) had strong knowledge. At the 0.05 level of significance, the estimated value t-value of 49.80 was bigger than the tabulated t-value.

Background of the Study: First aid involving simple but life-preserving techniques which can be performed with minimum facilities and without having any medical experience. Snowballing in the number of educated individuals, comprising the school pupils who can play a vital role in the First Aid field is an expectation of public health. The objectives of this study were to assess existing knowledge of students regarding first aid skills, to evaluate the effectiveness of organized skill training program on first aid skills. A quantitative research approach and one group pre-test and post-test research design were adopted to accomplish the main objective of the present study. 60 students were selected from the secondary school of Vadodara city by using a simple random sampling technique. Data was collected through a structured knowledge questionnaire on first aid skills. A skill training program on first aid skills was presented after the pretest. Post-test data were collected from the secondary school students after seven days of implementation of the skill training program on first aid skills. The prior consent was obtained from the students as well as their parents. The collected data were tabulated and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The results of the study discovered that among 60 respondents, the majority of the respondents (53.3%) had average inadequate & 46.7% had moderate knowledge score and in post-test among 60 respondents, majority of the respondents 75%) had adequate knowledge, 25% had moderate knowledge score. Background and aim: Occupational stress occurs when there is a disequilibrium between job demands and capabilities. Being employed as a security guard exposes the subject to potentially dangerous situations. Security guards are engaged in a profession that confronts violators of the law as well as violence and thus are more likely to be exposed to traumatic experiences. So it is very important to assess the level of stress they possess and make them aware of the harmful effects and how to manage it. Hence, there is a need to assess the level of occupational stress and to evaluate the effectiveness of PTP on knowledge regarding occupational stress and its management among security guards of a selected organization, Shimoga, Karnataka. Results: Demonstrated that the majority of the security guards were having a moderate level of occupational stress. Among 80 security guards, 59 (74%) were having a moderate level of occupational stress, 21 (26%) were having a severe level of occupational stress and none of them possessed a mild level of occupational stress. Conclusion: This study contributes to the emerging body of knowledge about occupational stress in their security profession and it is important to plan the healthy coping strategies to cope up with their occupational stress.

A Study To Assess The Effectiveness Of Structure Teaching Programme On Knowledge Regarding Prevention Of Childhood Accidents Among Mothers Of Under Five Children At Piparia, Vadodara". Introduction: Accident means "sudden, unexpected harmful event", An accident is often a harmful event that could be avoided by a little careful though. Child accidents are very common among under five children. During this age child is like a "Discovering machine" always searching for new things. because of curious(eagerness) and enthusiastic in nature they love to explore the environments persistently and does not understand the probable danger of their play. Material and Method: An evaluative research approach with pre-experimental design was used. The sampling technique used was non - probability convenient sampling. Data was collected from 50 mothers, from Piparia village, Vadodara. Data collection was done from 8-11-2013 to 24-11-2013. Permission taken from the Sarpanch of the Piparia Village was obtained prior to data collection process. The tool consist of section : 1 Demographic profile, section :2 - knowledge component of Childhood accident consisting 30 items. The reliability of the tool was established by using split half and karl pearson method. Hence the tool was found to be reliable. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics Descriptive statistics used were frequency, mean, range and standard deviation. The data was also presented graphically. Results: Result of the study indicates that:  The post-test knowledge score was in the range of (20-29) which was higher than the pre-test knowledge score range (11-17).  The mean post-test knowledge score (24.14) also was higher than the mean pre-test knowledge score (13.84).The comparison of pre-test and post-test knowledge score showed that there was a significant gain in knowledge scores of mothers after STP  The association between the post test level of knowledge and socio demographic variable. Background: Children are the most important asset and wealth of a nation. Healthy children make a healthy nation. The children under 15 years of age constitute about 40% of the population. The child is not a miniature, but an individual in his own right. The quality of childhood one has lived will determine the ultimate nature of the adulthood. Now a day, because of the rapid industrialization and urbanization, majority of young couples are employed, so unavoidably they get less time to look after their children. Under these circumstances, emotional, behavior and psychiatric problems are on the rise. Aims and objectives: The study aimed at assessing the knowledge of Primary school teachers regarding Selected Common Behavioural Problems of Children, evaluate the effectiveness of Structure Teaching Programme on Selected Common Behavioural Problems of Children and find out association between pre test knowledge score and selected demographic variables. Material and Methods: A one group pre-test post-test pre-experimental design and evaluative approach was adopted. The study was conducted among 60 primary school teachers conveniently selected from five primary schools of Vadodara. Results: The results of the study shows that in pre test, primary school teachers were having on average 49.40% knowledge regarding selected common behavioral problems of children and mean score was 14.82±3.372 and in post test, average 75.83% knowledge regarding regarding selected common behavioral problems of children and mean score was 22.75±2.802. T calculated value is 33.233 which is more than the tabulated value of 2.00 at 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion: This study concluded that structure teaching program is effective tools to improve the knowledge of primary school teachers regarding Selected Common Behavioural Problems of Children.

Mr. Rajesh Bhai Bhariya a 20year old man, whose occupation was building constructor labor, came to hospital on 19 th September 2016 and his IPD No: 1610190125, diagnosis as Tetanus he belongs to Dahod district, Gujarat. Came to the hospital with C/O Body ache, Rigidity of generalized body since 5 days and difficulty in opening of mouth since one week. In nursing assessment found that: Tachycardia, Altered conscious, Disoriented, Hypertonic and Febrile. Nursing care provided as per need of the patient such as maintained personal hygiene, Provided regular oral care, Provided back care once in every four day, Sponge bath whenever required, Nasogastric feeding, Maintain I/o chart, IV fluids , Psychologically supported to patient family and regular Tracheotomy care done. As per consultants prescription medications administered such as Antibiotic cefaperazone+salbactum 3gm administered. Later patient recovered well and prognosis was good.

Background : Self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) has been accepted as an important instrument that empowers people with diabetes to achieve and maintain therapeutic goalsThis study is Aims and Objective :1] To assess the level of knowledge on self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) among of diabetic patients. 2] Assess the Attitude on self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) among of diabetic patients. 3] Find out the Correlation between level of Knowledge and Attitude on self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) among diabetic patients. 4] Find out the association between levels of knowledge with selected demographic variables of diabetes mellitus patients. 5] Find out the association between attitudes with selected demographic variables of diabetes mellitus patients in Waghodia Taluka. Methods : The interventional study was conducted andsample consisted of 200 patients of selected area of Waghodia Taluka. The tools used for data collection was a set demographic variables. Interview scale will be used to assess the knowledge and Likert scale will be used to assess the Attitude on SMBG. A planned teaching program on knowledge and attitude on SMBG among diabetic patients belongs to waghodia taluka was the intervention of the study. Content validity of the tool was ensured by verifying it with experts from the field of medicine and nursing. In the data gathering process, a pre-test was administered to assess the knowledge level of sample on the same day was conducted. After 7 th day post test was administered using the same set of questionnaire to assess the knowledge. Interpretation : The result showed that negative correlation between knowledge and attitude on SMBG in among diabetic patient belong to Waghodia Taluka. Conclusion : The motivated the diabetic patient about knowledge and attitude on SMBG in diabetic patient. It has given a new avenue to the researcher to widen the horizon on move research aspect of knowledge and attitude on SMBG in diabetic patient.
