We investigate the radial metallicity gradients and azimuthal metallicity distributions on the Galactocentric $X$--$Y$ plane using mono-temperature stellar populations selected from LAMOST MRS young stellar sample. The estimated radial metallicity gradient ranges from $-$0.015\,dex/kpc to $-$0.07\,dex/kpc, which decreases as effective temperature decreases (or stellar age increases) at $7500 < T_{\rm eff} < 12500$\,K ($τ< $1.5 Gyr). The azimuthal metallicity excess (metallicity after subtracting radial metallicity gradient, $Δ$\,[M/H]) distributions exhibit inhomogeneities with dispersions of 0.04\,dex to 0.07\,dex, which decrease as effective temperature decreases. We also identify five potential metal-poor substructures with large metallicity excess dispersions. The metallicity excess distributions of these five metal-poor substructures suggest that they contain a larger fraction of metal-poor stars compared to other control samples. These metal-poor substructures may be associated with high-velocity clouds that infall into the Galactic disk from the Galactic halo, which are not quickly well-mixed with the pre-existing ISM of the Galactic disk. As a result, these high-velocity clouds produce some metal-poor stars and the observed metal-poor substructures. The variations of metallicity inhomogeneities with different stellar populations indicate that high-velocity clouds are not well mixed with the pre-existing Galactic disk ISM within 0.3\,Gyr., 14 pages, 12 figures, Accepted for publication in A&A

With a unique set of 54 overlapping narrow-band and two broader filters covering the entire optical range, the incoming Javalambre-Physics of the Accelerating Universe Astrophysical Survey (J-PAS) will provide a great opportunity for stellar physics and near-field cosmology. In this work, we use the miniJPAS data in 56 J-PAS filters and 4 complementary SDSS-like filters to explore and prove the potential of the J-PAS filter system in characterizing stars and deriving their atmospheric parameters. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common sleep-disordered-breathing with decreased or even suspended ventilation due to upper airway obstruction, which is characterized by intermittent hypoxia and sleep fragmentation. OSA can damage a variety of organ systems, especially the cardiovascular system, seriously affecting the quality of life of patients. Therefore, more attention is paid to the precise assessment of the impairments of the organ systems caused by OSA and the evaluation of indicators, in order to carry out preventive measures as soon as possible. However, due to the limitations of traditional indicators such as apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) in assessing the severity of disease, it is necessary to explore other alternative indicators to obtain multi-dimensional characteristics of OSA. A promising parameter, hypoxic burden (HB) can better quantify the severity of OSA and capture the disease load of OSA. This review mainly focused on the basic concept, main features, calculating method of HB and its clinical significance in predicting the adverse consequences of OSA, aiming at a better management of patients with OSA.阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停（OSA）是由于上气道阻塞导致气流减少或暂停、以间歇性缺氧和睡眠片段化为特征的一种常见睡眠呼吸障碍。OSA可引起全身各靶器官系统的损害，尤以心血管系统为著，严重影响了患者的生活质量。因而，关于OSA引起系统性损害的评估以及评价指标的研究日益受到重视，以便对OSA进行早期预防和治疗。然而，由于睡眠呼吸暂停低通气指数（AHI）等传统指标在评估疾病严重性等方面具有局限性，有必要探索其他评价指标以获取OSA多维度的特征。低氧负荷可以更好地量化OSA的严重程度、捕捉OSA相关的疾病负荷。本文立足低氧负荷这一指标，综述其定义及提出、测算方法及其在OSA所致不良后果预测中的优势及临床意义，以期为对OSA患者实现更好的管理提供依据。.

The reduction of copper content in converting slag using process control is significant to copper smelter. In this study, the slags produced from the Ausmelt Converting Process for copper matte was analyzed using X-ray diffraction and chemical analysis. Thermodynamic calculation and effects of various conditions including the lance submerging depth in molten bath, the molten bath temperature, the addition of copper matte, and airflow rate were carried out to lower the content in the slag. Thermodynamic analysis indicated that the decrease of copper content was achieved by reducing Fe3O4, CuFe2O4, and Cu2O in the slag, decreasing the magnetism of slag and lowering the viscosity of slag, which was feasible at the operating temperature of the molten bath. Experiments showed that the optimal combination of operating conditions were found to be the addition of copper matte between 5,000 ? 7,000 kg/h, a lance airflow rate of 13,000-14,000 Nm3/h, and a lance submergence depth into the molten bath of 700-900 mm, in which the copper content in the slag was effectively reduced from 22.74 wt. % to 7.70 wt. %. This study provides a theoretical support and technical guidance for promoting the utilization of slags from the Ausmelt Converting Process.

M.; Santos da Costa, S.; Telles, E., The Javalambre-Physics of the Accelerating Universe Astrophysical Survey (J-PAS) will scan thousands of square degrees of the northern sky with a unique set of 56 filters using the dedicated 2:55m Javalambre Survey Telescope (JST) at the Javalambre Astrophysical Observatory. Prior to the installation of the main camera (4:2 deg2 field-of-view with 1.2 Gpixels), the JST was equipped with the JPAS-Pathfinder, a one CCD camera with a 0:3 deg2 field-of-view and plate scale of 0.23 arcsec pixel?1. To demonstrate the scientific potential of J-PAS, the JPAS-Pathfinder camera was used to perform miniJPAS, a _1 deg2 survey of the AEGIS field (along the Extended Groth Strip). The field was observed with the 56 J-PAS filters, which include 54 narrow band (FWHM _ 145 ) and two broader filters extending to the UV and the near-infrared, complemented by the u; g; r; i SDSS broad band filters. In this miniJPAS survey overview paper, we present the miniJPAS data set (images and catalogs), as we highlight key aspects and applications of these unique spectro-photometric data and describe how to access the public data products. The data parameters reach depths of magAB ' 22?23:5 in the 54 narrow band filters and up to 24 in the broader filters (5_ in a 300 aperture). The miniJPAS primary catalog contains more than 64 000 sources detected in the r band and with matched photometry in all other bands. This catalog is 99% complete at r = 23:6 (r = 22:7) mag for point-like (extended) sources. We show that our photometric redshifts have an accuracy better than 1% for all sources up to r = 22:5, and a precision of _0:3% for a subset consisting of about half of the sample. On this basis, we outline several scientific applications of our data, including the study of spatially-resolved stellar populations of nearby galaxies, the analysis of the large scale structure up to z _ 0:9, and the detection of large numbers of clusters and groups. Sub-percent redshift precision can also be reached for quasars, allowing for the study of the large-scale structure to be pushed to z 2. The miniJPAS survey demonstrates the capability of the J-PAS filter system to accurately characterize a broad variety of sources and paves the way for the upcoming arrival of J-PAS, which will multiply this data by three orders of magnitude. © 2021 EDP Sciences. In this article, we first introduce a modified inertial Mann algorithm and an inertial CQ-algorithm by combining the accelerated Mann algorithm and the CQ-algorithm with the inertial extrapolation, respectively. This strategy is intended to speed up the convergence of the given algorithms. Then we established the convergence theorems for two provided algorithms. For the inertial CQ-algorithm, the conditions on the inertial parameters are very weak. Finally, the numerical experiments are presented to illustrate that the modified inertial Mann algorithm and inertial CQ-algorithm may have a number of advantages over other methods in computing for some cases.

To explore the correlation between gene polymorphism and opioid efficacy in patients with gastric or intestinal cancer.Fifty-nine patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery for gastric or intestinal cancer under general anesthesia were included and randomly divided into oxycodone (n=30) and sufentanil groups (n=29) by reproducible random number generation method. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of four alleles: μ-opioid receptor gene OPRM1 A118G, cytochrome P450 (CPY450) enzyme system: CPY3A4*1G, CYP3A5*3, and CYP2D6*10 were detected by PCR-pyrosequencing. Patients in sufentanil group received intravenous sufentanil injection during anesthesia induction, intraoperative maintenance, and postoperative analgesia, while those in oxycodone group received oxycodone. Patients' postoperative VAS score, opioid use, and prevalence of adverse reactions were recorded.The genotype distribution of OPRM1 A118G, CYP3A4*1G, CYP3A5*3, and CYP2D6*10 in Chinese gastric cancer/intestinal cancer patients accorded with the Hardy-Weinberg law (p0.05). OPRM1 A118G polymorphism correlated with postoperative VAS score and medication dosage, in oxycodone group (p0.05), while it didn't with those of sufentanil group. The VAS scores in GG group were higher than that in AA group and AG group at T6-T9, (p0.05); the postoperative pain remedies times in GG group were more than that in the AA and AG groups (p=0.002). CYP3A4*1G polymorphism related to postoperative VAS score, medication dosage and prevalence of adverse reactions in sufentanil group (p0.05), while it didn't with those of oxycodone group (p0.05). The total intraoperative medication in AA group was less than that in GG and GA groups (p0.01), with a higher prevalence of respiratory depression (p=0.01). Nor was there any correlation of CYP3A5*3 and CYP2D6*10 polymorphisms with the efficacy, postoperative VAS score, pain remedies times, postoperative 24 h medication dosage, or prevalence of adverse reactions in oxycodone and sufentanil groups.Gene polymorphism affects the efficacy and adverse reactions of opioids in patients undergoing laparoscopic gastric or intestinal cancer surgery.

This study aimed to establish response curves between broiler chicken growth parameters and artificial light periods, as opposed to optimizing a lighting regimen for broiler production. Medium-growing broiler chickens were illuminated for periods of 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, or 24 h each day. The BW of the broilers were significantly influenced by light periods ( < 0.05). Moreover, BW responded to light periods in a linear fashion, suggesting that long light periods result in greater BW. In addition, a linear relationship was found between feed intake and light periods. However, the relationship between shank length and light period was quadratic. When the light period was too short (12 h) or too long (24 h), the light stimulus did not enhance shank growth in the broiler chickens ( < 0.05). In addition, a quadratic relationship between the quantity of abdominal adipose tissue and light period suggested that the quantity of abdominal adipose decreases when the period of the light stimulus was too short or too long ( < 0.05). Moreover, a broken-stick analysis suggested that the triiodothyronine (T3) concentration in the blood was minimally affected beyond 18 h ( = 0.267), although a quadratic relationship was found between the period (from 18 to 24 h) and T3 concentrations in the blood. The response curves established in the present study will be valuable for designing future lighting regimes for medium-growing broiler strains.

Using the data from the LAMOST Galactic spectroscopic surveys and some other surveys, we have started a series of work to measure the mass distribution of our Galaxy. As a result of the first-stage, we have constructed the Galactic rotation curve out to 100 kpc and the Galactic escape velocity curve between 5 and 14 kpc. From the two curves, we have built parametrized mass models for our Galaxy, respectively. Both models yield a similar result for the Milky Way's virial mass: ~ 0.9 × 1012 M⊙.

We showed that hypothermic preconditioning (HPC) increased survival of Purkinje neurons in rat cerebellar slices after oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD). HPC also reduced the OGD-increased expression of high mobility group I (Y) proteins, a transcription factor that can enhance inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression. iNOS is a putatively damaging protein that contributes to ischemic brain injury. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) can be induced by various stimuli to protect cells. We hypothesize that HPC induces neuroprotection by reducing the expression of putatively damaging proteins such as iNOS and/or by increasing the expression of putatively protective proteins such as HSPs. Cerebellar slices were prepared from adult male Sprague-Dawley rats and incubated in circulating artificial cerebrospinal fluid. OGD was for 20 min at 37 degrees C and was followed by a 5-h recovery at 37 degrees C before slices were used for morphological, immunohistochemical and Western analyses. HPC was performed by incubating slices at 33 degrees C for 20 min at 1 h before the OGD. HPC and aminoguanidine, an iNOS inhibitor, prevented OGD-induced Purkinje cell death/injury. OGD increased the expression of iNOS and nitrosylated proteins. These increases were abolished by aminoguanidine and HPC. Interestingly, the expression of HSP70 was increased by OGD but not by HPC. Our results suggest that an increased iNOS expression contributes to the pathophysiology of OGD-induced Purkinje neuronal death in our model. Our results also suggest the involvement of inhibiting the expression of the putatively damaging iNOS proteins in the HPC-induced neuroprotection. HSP70 may not contribute to the HPC-induced neuroprotection.

The interactions of rare earth ions doped in nanoparticles with the amorphous matrix in which they are embedded are studied with hole burning and fluorescence line narrowing techniques. The results suggest that at low temperatures the homogeneous broadening of optical transitions of the rare earth ions are dominated by interactions with the two-level systems of amorphous matrix. At higher temperatures other phonon-induced processes which are seen in bulk single crystals dominate the dynamics.

The radiative lifetimes, τR, of the excited states of rare earth (RE) ions contained in nanocrystalline insulators are different compared to their values in crystallographically equivalent bulk crystals. Their lifetimes depend on the effective index of refraction of the media consisting of nanoparticles and the substance filling the space between them. Here the radiative rates were studied as a function of particle size and the amorphous matrices containing the nanoparticles. Effects due to the effective index of refraction and site distortions associated with the increased inhomogeneous broadening were observed.

The radiative lifetime, ${\ensuremath{\tau}}_{R},$ of the ${}^{5}{D}_{0}$ metastable excited state of ${\mathrm{Eu}}^{3+}$ ions in nanocrystalline monoclinic ${\mathrm{Y}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ samples is about four times longer than that in the micron size powder of the same material. The ${\mathrm{Eu}}^{3+}$ radiative lifetime was measured in nanocrystals surrounded with air as well as those immersed in different liquids. It is shown that the radiative lifetime changes with the index of refraction of the immersion medium and provides a unique test of the standard formula relating ${\ensuremath{\tau}}_{R}$ and the oscillator strength. The magnitude of the effect is determined by the ``filling factor'' (the fraction of the sample volume occupied by nanocrystals) which can therefore be determined.

The temperature dependence of the photoluminescence (PL) transitions associated with various excitons and their phonon replicas in high-purity bulk ZnO has been studied at temperatures from 12 K to above room temperature (320 K). Several strong PL emission lines associated with LO phonon replicas of free and bound excitons are clearly observed. The room temperature PL spectrum is dominated by the phonon replicas of the free exciton transition with the maximum at the first LO phonon replica. The results explain the discrepancy between the transition energy of free exciton determined by reflection measurement and the peak position obtained by the PL measurement.

The low-temperature homogeneous broadening of the electronic transitions of ${\mathrm{Eu}}^{3+}$ and ${\mathrm{Pr}}^{3+}$ rare-earth impurity ions in ${\mathrm{Y}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ and ${\mathrm{LaF}}_{3}$ nanocrystals embedded into amorphous materials (polymer and oxyfluoride glass ceramics) was studied with hole-burning and fluorescence line narrowing techniques. It is shown that the homogeneous linewidth is determined by the interaction of the impurity ions contained in the nanocrystals with the two-level systems (TLS's) of the surrounding glass matrix. A comparison of the experiments with a calculation provides direct evidence for the long-range nature of the interaction with the TLS's.

Injury of the cervical spine may cause serious complications and neurological sequelae. Recently, a patient with C1-2 spinal cord compression developed pulmonary edema postoperatively associated with unstable hemodynamics, which might result from overzealous fluid administration in order to correct neurogenic shock during anesthesia. Therefore, early recognition and timely use of vasoconstrictors, together with judicious fluid replacement are important in the anesthetic management of patients with cervical spine injury undergoing surgery. In addition, the placement of pulmonary artery catheter is crucial for assessing the cardiac function and fluid status.

Quantitative sensory testing has gained popularity as a tool in the diagnosis of peripheral neuropathies. This study aims to establish normative data of quantitative thermal and vibratory thresholds in normal subjects in Taiwan. In addition, we also examined the effect of age and gender differences on these thresholds.The study included 100 healthy subjects (50 males and 50 females) who were admitted for regular physical examination. The quantitative testing of thermal, cold and vibratory sensations were performed having recourse to a Thermotest instrument applied on the right hand and foot of these subjects. Measurements included perception thresholds of warm (WT), cold (CT), heat pain, cold pain and vibration as well as a visual analog pain scale.Age was comparable between the sexes, but the male subjects were taller than the female subjects. A higher WT and CT in the hand, but not in the foot, were found in the male subjects in comparison with the female subjects. Heat pain threshold and cold pain threshold of both sites did not significantly differ between genders. Moreover, the groups did not differ in vibration threshold and visual analog pain scale. Young subjects (age30 years) showed a higher CT in the foot than the older subjects (age50 years). None of the above parameters were different between these two age groups. Overall, the age or height bore no significant relation to the difference between WT and CT (DDWT-CT).The female subjects were found to be more sensitive to warm and cold stimulation in the hand than their counterparts. These results have provided valuable normative data on sensory perceptive thresholds in Taiwanese, which are useful as a tool in the diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy.

Transurethral incision (TUI) is a simple and safe procedure. We, herein, present a case undergoing transurethral incision procedure during which he developed transurethral resection of prostate syndrome (TURP syndrome) and hypothermia precipitating an acute perioperative myocardial infarction attack. The potential risk of development of TURP syndrome in settings other than TURP surgery as well as its prevention are reviewed and discussed.

Background: It has been speculated that epidural anaesthesia may induce bronchoconstriction via the mechanism of a sympathetic blockade. However, this hypothesis has not been confirmed by any experimental evidence. Therefore, we investigated the effects of high thoracic epidural anaesthesia with neural sympathetic blockade on basal airway resistance and airway reactivity in response to bronchoconstrictive stimuli in a canine periphery lung model. Methods: Acetylcholine (Ach, 8 μg kg-1 i.v.) or histamine (His, 3 μg kg-1 i.v.) was administered to 7 anaesthetized mongrel dogs before and after thoracic epidural anaesthesia. Successful neuronal sympathectomy was confirmed by nitroglycerin test. The changes of peripheral airway resistance (Rp), haemodynamics, cardiac output (CO), and the recovery time for Rp from peak returning to baseline in each challenge were studied. Results: Thoracic epidural anaesthesia altered neither the baseline Rp nor the peak Rp evoked by Ach or His. Globular clusters (GCs) are excellent tracers for the formation, assembly and evolutionary history of their host galaxies. However, their origin and their role in galaxy evolution are still unclear. There are accumulating evidences that a significant fraction of GCs in massive galaxies (e.g., M 31) are accreted during their assembly history (e.g., Mackey et al. 2010). In this contribution, we report the discovery of a possible stream of accreted GCs in M 31 using data from the literature. Unlike previous substructures of GCs identified as clumps in the phase and metallicity space (Ashman, Keith & Christina 1993), the members of this stream are widely spread but tightly correlated in the position-velocity space (see Fig. 1). The tight correlation suggests that they possibly follow very similar orbits. A number of stellar streams have been discovered in the outer halo of M 31 (e.g., Ibata et al. 2001; McConnachie et al. 2009), one of which may be physically associated with the GC stream. If the association is established, it will not only provide a key evidence for accretion origins of some GCs in M 31, but also place a strong constraint on the mass distribution of M 31.

Diazepam, known to possess myorelaxation property, has been widely used clinically to control muscular rigidity and spasticity. The interactions of diazepam with neuromuscular blocking agents have been extensively studied, yet the results reported are somewhat controversial and inconclusive.The interaction of diazepam with one of the neuromuscular blocking agents, vecuronium, was studied in 20 ASA I-II patients undergoing elective surgery. They were randomly assigned to two groups with ten in each group. Anesthesia was induced with fentanyl, thiopental and vecuronium and maintained with 1% halothane and 70% N2O in O2. The experimental group received diazepam (0.2 mg/kg) 3 minutes prior to vecuronium (0.1 mg/kg) during induction while the control group received vecuronium (0.1 mg/kg) straight without diazepam. Control records of the integrated electromyography showed the response to train-of-four supramaximal stimulation by a Datex Relaxograph during induction. In no time when the first twitch (T1) recovered to 25% of the control, it was topped up again with another intraoperative dose of vecuronium (0.025 mg/kg). From the derived data, the following parameters were calculated and analysed: (1) onset time T10 (the time from the end of injection of vecuronium during induction to depression of T1 to 10% of control twitch height); (2) duration time T25 (the time from administering vecuronium during induction to the time when T1 recovered to 25% of the original twitch height); (3) topup time T25-25 (the time from administering the top dose of vecuronium to the time when T1 returned to 25% of control twitch height again) and (4) recovery time T25-50 (the time of recovery of T1 from 25% to 50% of the control twitch height at the end of the operation).Significant differences between both groups were found in T10 (221.8 +/- 62.2 vs 135.4 +/- 23.3 sec, p0.01) and T25 (41.9 +/- 10.2 vs 50.6 +/- 9.4 min, p0.05). The results of T25-25 and T25-50 did not differ much (26.6 +/- 6.9 vs 29.3 +/- 4.4 min, p0.05 and 15.0 +/- 8.9 vs 16.9 +/- 8.7 min, p0.05 respectively).The administration of diazepam (0.2 mg/kg) three minutes prior to vecuronium (0.1 mg/kg) during induction may hasten the onset of vecuronium and prolong its duration of action.

Single crystals of SrAl 2 O 4 :Eu 2+ , Dy 3+ with extremely strong afterglow were investigated with photoconductivity experiments. The photocurrent excitation spectra were measured at 80 and 300 K and compared with photoluminescence excitation spectra. Experiments on single crystals without doping Dy 3+ were also performed for comparison. The results are found to support a hole-trapping model which has been used to explain the strong afterglow from this material.
