ilustraciones, gráficas, tablas La presente investigación describe el abordaje musicoterapéutico desarrollado en dos grupos paralelos de 4 estudiantes (cada uno) de pregrado en música de la Universidad Sergio Arboleda de Bogotá (Colombia), el cual, fue diseñado con el fin de promover su engagement académico por medio de tres categorías asociadas a la metacognición (auto-control, planificación y confianza). En concordancia, el trabajo se realizó desde un enfoque cualitativo de investigación, basado en el modelo de la Investigación-Acción. Además, se tuvo en cuenta el paradigma salutogénico durante todo el proceso. Asimismo, el abordaje contó con un total de 18 sesiones por grupo, las cuales se desarrollaron a lo largo de 3 etapas, a decir: fase inicial, fase de abordaje de las categorías y fase de cierre. Por su parte, el abordaje musicoterapéutico fue diseñado con base en los 4 métodos de la musicoterapia, en conjunción con elementos de la Musicoterapia para Músicos aplicada desde el Abordaje Plurimodal y el manual Performance Wellness para músicos, de la musicoterapeuta Louise Montello (2016). En suma, este diseño se fundamentó en los lineamientos de la Musicoterapia en Educación y los instrumentos empleados para la recolección de datos fueron: los protocolos de análisis de sesión, los IAPs de Bruscia y las entrevistas semiestructuradas pre-test y post-test. Del análisis de los resultados se concluyó que el abordaje promovió significativamente el engagement académico en los participantes por medio del fortalecimiento de las tres categorías asociadas a la metacognición propuestas. This research describes the music therapy process developed in two parallel groups of 4 undergraduate music students (each) from the Sergio Arboleda University of Bogotá (Colombia), which was designed in order to promote their academic engagement through three categories associated with metacognition (self-control, planning and confidence). Accordingly, the work was carried out from a qualitative research approach, based on the Research-Action model. In addition, the salutogenic paradigm was taken into account throughout the process. Likewise, this approach had a total of 18 sessions per group, which were developed over 3 stages, namely: initial phase, categories work phase and closure phase. For its part, the music therapy approach was designed based on the 4 methods of music therapy, in conjunction with elements of Music Therapy for Musicians applied from the Plurimodal Approach and the Performance Wellness manual for musicians, by music therapist Louise Montello (2016). In agreement, this design was based on the guidelines of Music Therapy in Education and the instruments used for data collection were: the session analysis protocols, the Bruscia IAPs and the pre-test and post-test semi-structured interviews. From the analysis of the results, it was concluded that the approach significantly promoted the academic engagement in the participants by strengthening the three proposed categories associated with metacognition. Within the ecosystems, the balance is important since the populations maintain their size and the food habits that are constant over time; in contrast, the disappearance of natural sources or the alteration of habitat at different levels can cause major changes in the very structure of the ecosystem. Alterations in the habitats produced by human activity result in global warming, climatic changes, which together with globalization, increased trade, the shortening of distances thanks to transport, the increase in population and the socioeconomic activities of human cause imbalances. In many cases the vectors and hosts have adapted to the changes and have risen to higher latitudes and altitudes, which could contribute to the appearance of outbreaks or new outbreaks of new arboviruses of public health importance. Different cohabiting species can be reservoirs or vectors of arboviruses such as alphaviruses and flaviviruses. Currently, some viruses transmitted by mosquito vectors, such as dengue virus, Zika virus, and chikungunya virus, have caused epidemic outbreaks with important effects on human populations. It is possible that the expansion of vectors and their diseases reaches developed countries such as the United States and the European Union with a great impact on public health. The clinical signs of the diseases produced by arboviruses can vary from nonspecific febrile syndrome, encephalitis, hemorrhagic fever, and even death. Vectors and reservoirs in some cases are insects, such as mosquitoes and ticks; wild birds are reservoirs for the West Nile virus, small wild mammals such as rodents, bats, and domestic animals involved in food production can potentially harbor arboviruses, and the ecoepidemiological role of these is unknown.
