Background and ObjectivesDementia cases are expected to triple during the next 30 years, highlighting the importance of finding modifiable risk factors for dementia. The aim of this study was to investigate whether adherence to conventional dietary recommendations or to a modified Mediterranean diet are associated with a subsequent lower risk of developing all-cause dementia, Alzheimer disease (AD), vascular dementia (VaD), or with future accumulation of AD-related beta-amyloid (A beta) pathology.MethodsBaseline examination in the prospective Swedish population-based Malmo Diet and Cancer Study took place in 1991-1996 with a follow-up for incident dementia until 2014. Nondemented individuals born 1923-1950 and living in Malmo were invited to participate. Thirty thousand four hundred forty-six were recruited (41% of all eligible). Twenty-eight thousand twenty-five had dietary data and were included in this study. Dietary habits were assessed with a 7-day food diary, detailed food frequency questionnaire, and 1-hour interview. Main outcomes were incident all-cause dementia, AD, or VaD determined by memory clinic physicians. Secondary outcome was A beta-accumulation measured using CSF A beta 42 (n = 738). Cox proportional hazard models were used to examine associations between diet and risk of developing dementia (adjusted for demographics, comorbidities, smoking, physical activity, and alcohol).ResultsSixty-one percent were women, and the mean (SD) age was 58.1 (7.6) years. One thousand nine hundred forty-three (6.9%) were diagnosed with dementia (median follow-up, 19.8 years). Individuals adhering to conventional dietary recommendations did not have lower risk of developing all-cause dementia (hazard ratio [HR] comparing worst with best adherence, 0.93, 95% CI 0.81-1.08), AD (HR 1.03, 0.85-1.23), or VaD (HR 0.93, 0.69-1.26). Neither did adherence to the modified Mediterranean diet lower the risk of developing all-cause dementia (HR 0.93 0.75-1.15), AD (HR 0.90, 0.68-1.19), or VaD (HR 1.00, 0.65-1.55). The results were similar when excluding participants developing dementia within 5 years or those with diabetes. No significant associations were found between diet and abnormal A beta accumulation, conventional recommendations (OR 1.28, 0.74-2.24) or modified Mediterranean diet (OR 0.85, 0.39-1.84).DiscussionIn this 20-year follow-up study, neither adherence to conventional dietary recommendations nor to modified Mediterranean diet were significantly associated with subsequent reduced risk for developing all-cause dementia, AD dementia, VaD, or AD pathology. The recruiter’s first impression of a candidate is often formed through the candidate’s CV, and the CV plays a vital role in recruitment processes for convincing the recruiter to proceed with an applicant to a first interview. Thus, it needs to catch the recruiter’s attention and show whether the candidate is an ideal match for what the recruiter is looking for. With the aim to explore web-based CVs with interactive elements and examine users’ habits and requirements in IT consultant recruitment processes, this study asks the question: How can the user experience of an interactive CV page be improved to help facilitate the recruitment process of consultants? By applying an iterative, user-centered design approach, utilizing the Constructive Design Research framework, the study results in a prototype and proposes design suggestions drawing on knowledge generated from the prototype. Further, three characteristics essential to improve the user experience and help facilitate the recruitment process of consultants are suggested. En rekryterareres första intryck av en kandidat bildas ofta genom kandidatens CV. Vidare spelar CV:t en avgörande roll i rekryteringsprocesser för att övertyga rekryteraren att gå vidare med en kandidat till en första intervju. Detta innebär att ett CV måste fånga en rekryterares uppmärksamhet och visa huruvida kandidaten är en idealistisk match för det rekryteraren letar efter. I syfte att utforska webbaserade CV:n med interaktiva element och undersöka användares vanor och krav i rekryteringsprocesser för IT-konsulter, ställer denna studie forskningsfrågan: Hur kan användarupplevelsen av en interaktiv CV-sida förbättras för att underlätta i rekryteringsprocessen av konsulter? Genom att tillämpa en iterativ användarcentrerad designstrategi där konstruktiv designforskning tillämpas, resulterar studien i en prototyp och föreslår dessutom designförslag utifrån kunskap genererad från prototypen. Vidare föreslås av studien tre attribut som anses vara väsentliga för att förbättra användarupplevelsen och hjälpa till att underlätta rekryteringsprocessen av konsulter.

Bakgrund: Vårdplaneringssamtal är en del av omvårdnadsprocessen där patient, anhörig och vårdpersonal tillsammans kan skapa ett personcentrerat vårdande för patienten. Tidigare forskning beskriver att sjuksköterskor upplever vårdplaneringssamtal som något positivt där patientens önskemål lyfts fram. Tidigare forskning beskriver även patienters upplevelser av att vårdplaneringssamtal kan hjälpa dem med beslutsfattandet kring sin vård. Syftet: Syftet var att beskriva anhörigas upplevelser av att delta i vårdplaneringssamtal. Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på 12 vårdvetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ ansats. Resultat: Dataanalysen resulterade i två teman och fyra subteman. Första temat var Inställning till vårdplaneringssamtal med subteman att kunskap har betydelse och att tillit har betydelse. Det andra temat var Att hantera vårdplaneringssamtal med subteman betydelsen av delaktighet och att behöva ta beslut. Slutsats: Sjuksköterskor behöver bidra till ökad kunskap till de anhöriga gällande vårdplaneringssamtal, anpassa språket för att underlätta delaktigheten samt att stötta anhöriga i beslutsfattandet. Background: Care planning conversations are part of the nursing process where the patient, relative and healthcare staff together can create a person-centered care for the patient. Previous research describes that nurses experience care planning conversations as something positive where the patient's wishes are highlighted. Previous research also describes patients' experiences that care planning conversations can help them make decisions about their care. Aim: The aim was to describe relatives' experiences of participating in care planning conversations. Method: A literature study based on 12 care science articles with a qualitative approach. Results: The data analysis was divided into two themes and four subthemes. The first theme was Attitude towards care planning conversations with sub-themes that knowledge matters and that trust matters. The second theme was To handle care planning conversations with sub-themes the importance of participation and having to make decisions. Conclusion: Nurses need to contribute to increased knowledge for the relatives regarding care planning conversations, adapted language to facilitate involvement and support relatives in decision-making.

Communication is dynamic, social, challenging, and a key quality factor for construction projects. This is especially the case in multinational and inter-organizational infrastructure projects where factors like culture and language differ among the involved actors. As infrastructure projects usually extend over longer periods of time, collaborative relationships need to be established in which the actors can develop, for example, mutual understanding, learning, and efficient working routines. By building on empirical data from contemporary infrastructure projects, we explore how international contractors and a large public client communicate in multinational infrastructure projects (i.e., what the challenges are and what competences are needed). The analysis is based on the linguistic framework of communicative competence, and we contribute to the development of collaborative models in construction project management by suggesting the concept of contextual communicative competence.

Adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities (NDD) tend to face great challenges in school which can affect their school wellbeing. This paper investigates the relations between school wellbeing and NDD. The purpose of the study was to examine if NDD, class climate, bullying, mental health, and mental health problems predicted school wellbeing and if there were differences between upper secondary students with and without self-rated NDD. The data of this study was retrieved from wave four of the longitudinal multidisciplinary research programme LoRDIA. Study participants were 288 adolescents in year two of upper secondary school, where 61 had self-related NDD and 227 did not. First a Mann-Whitney U-test tested the differences between the groups. Then a multiple regression analysis was conducted to test the predictors’ influence on school wellbeing. Lastly, a correlation test was conducted to see if any predictor was masked by the difference in group size. The results showed that NDD, class climate and bullying are predictors to school wellbeing, where NDD is the strongest predictor. There was also a difference between the groups concerning psychiatric problems where the group with NDD reported more problems, although this still not being a predictor to school wellbeing for this group. In conclusion, class climate and bullying are predictors to school wellbeing for both students with and without self-related NDD which suggests that schools should work for a positive social climate in school. Secondly, the group of students with NDD experience lower levels of school wellbeing but this could not be explained by any of the variables used in this study which calls for further investigations as to what the causes are.
