Humic acids (HA) are important natural compounds that are characterized by a wide range of biological activity and therapeutic impact on different pathological processes. Sapropels are natural healing resources that contain a large amount of HA. The pharmaceutical market of Ukraine needs domestic drugs with dermatotropic action based on natural compounds that have a combined antibacterial, wound healing and anti-inflammatory activity, as well low toxicity.

The article discusses the aging process (theory of aging, mechanism, concept of the aging process, physiological and functional changes that negatively affect the condition of a patient with a gerontological profile). Geriatric rehabilitation is discussed, including physical (professional geriatric rehabilitation based on rehabilitation centers) and mental rehabilitation. It is shown that medical and psychological rehabilitation, which includes psychocorrection and psychotherapy, is essential. The paper assesses the rehabilitation possibilities (rehabilitation algorithms involving both natural and preformed physical factors) in gerontological patients suffering from various somatic diseases

Introduction. The increase in the number of children with oncological diseases requires development of effective methods of medical rehabilitation. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of the use of low-frequency magnetotherapy (LFMT) in children with diseases of the nervous system, manifested in the period of remission of oncological diseases (OD) in the complex of sanatorium rehabilitation (SRR). Methods: Children with OD at the stage of rehabilitation in a sanatorium underwent a clinical examination: medical history, concomitant pathology, complaints, clinical examination, assessment of neurological status; instrumental studies: electroencephalography (EEG) - assessment of the bioelectrical activity of the brain; echoencephalography (EchoEG) - assessment of CSF dynamics; Doppler ultrasound (USDG) - assessment of cerebral circulation. For 25 children with concomitant diseases of the nervous system during the period of OD remission (17 people) and solid tumors (8 people), in addition to the general complex of SRR, magnetotherapy was prescribed for the cervical-collar zone according to the following method: magnetic induction 20 - 30 mT, exposure 10 - 15 minutes, every other day, for a course of 5 procedures. Results: The use of the therapeutic complex TFR with the additional prescription of magnetotherapy can reliably reduce childrenʹs complaints in remission of the OD for the impaired activity of the nervous system. According to the USDG indicators, statistically significant positive changes in cerebral hemodynamics were established. The results of ultrasound echoEG indicate the improvement of CSF dynamics. According to the EEG data, positive changes in the state of brain electrogenesis were established. Conclusion: The effectiveness of LFMT in children in the period of remission of oncohematological diseases with concomitant diseases of the nervous system has been substantiated.

The authors investigated the antioxidant properties of the gel with tricolor violet extract when used in rats with an experimental pаrodontitis model. To simulate periodontal pathology, white laboratory rats were given a solution of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (2%) daily with drinking water and three times a week; the drug "Warfarin Orion" was administered per os for 30 days. Animals were randomly divided into four equal groups of 10 each. Group 1 - intact rats; group 2 - rats with a model of pаrodontitis; group 3 - rats with a model and applications on the mucous membrane of the alveolar process gel "Placebo". Group 4 - rats with a pаrodontitis model and applications on the mucous membrane of the alveolar process of the gel with the violet extract. In periodontal tissues and blood serum, we studied the level of inflammation markers - malondialdehyde (MDA) and diene conjugation. The state of the antioxidant defense system (AODS) was also assessed by the activity of glutathione peroxidase (GP), glutathione reductase (GR), glucose6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase. The pаrodontitis model in rats of the 2nd group was characterized by the development of inflammatory processes in periodontal tissues and blood, which is confirmed by changes in the pro- and antioxidant protection system. In rats of the 4th group, the content of MDA was restored in periodontal tissues. The state of the AOP system was normalized (decrease in the activity of SOD and catalase to the values of group 1), the tension in the glutathioneantioxidant defense system disappeared (the activity of GP decreased, and the activity of GR and G-6-PDH increased to the level control). In the blood serum, the content of MDA significantly reduced, and the level of DC remained higher than in group 1.In contrast, stabilization of the activity of marker enzymes of glutathione-antioxidant protection in blood serum (GP, GR, G-6-PDH) was noted with significant activation of the activity of SOD and catalase, with stabilization of SOD and catalase. Conclusion. The periodontal protective effectiveness of the gel with tricolor violet was established, as evidenced by the restoration of the state of protective antioxidant systems and the inhibition of lipid peroxidation processes both directly in the periodontal tissues and at the system level. The article presents the results of studies of the effect of radon and sulfide mineral waters (MW) on Wistar rats with experimental arthrosis. materials and methods. Rats were randomized into 4 groups. Group 1 consisted of intact rats (control group). In the remaining three groups, a model of knee arthrosis was reproduced using dexamethasone injections. Group 2 consisted of rats with untreated pathology. Group 3 consisted of rats using radon MW procedures, and group 4 consisted of rats using sulfide MW. Results. Morphological studies have determined that using radon and sulfide MW has a curative effect on the structural and functional organization of the joint and cartilage - the manifestations of inflammation in the knee joints are significantly reduced, dystrophic manifestations disappear, and reparative processes in cartilage improve. There are signs of an improvement in the state of metabolic processes in the body of rats: the balance in the lipid peroxidation and antioxidant systems is restored, and the indicators of the processes of energy supply of transmembrane transport (according to the activity of magnesiumdependent Na+/K+-ATP-ase and Ca2+-ATP-ase) and protein exchange. Conclusion. Based on the data obtained, it was concluded that both applied MWs have a unidirectional, but somewhat different in strength, curative effect on the course of experimental arthrosis, which is due to different mechanisms of the biological action of radon and hydrogen sulfide. The problem of treating dysplastic scoliosis in children is very relevant. The significant prevalence of pathology and early disability of patients necessitates the development of new methods to increase the effectiveness of therapeutic approaches, especially at the initial stages of the pathological process. Important for treatment is the consideration of dysplastic scoliosis as a manifestation of mesenchymal insufficiency syndrome. Our study aimed was to create individual stage-by-stage rehabilitation programs for children with dysplastic scoliosis of the I-II degree, including methods of differentiated kinesiotherapy and electrotherapy. In our study, we analyzed the results of complex stage-by-stage approaches to the treatment of children from 7 to 16 years old with dysplastic scoliosis of the I-II degree. Treatment and rehabilitation complexes included climatotherapy, standard kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy, massage, and balneotherapy (sanatoriumresort stage), as well as combined kinesiotherapy at the outpatient stage. The use of staged and integrated approaches to the treatment of children with dysplastic scoliosis of the I-II degree increases the effectiveness of therapy. Recurrent tonsillitis is one of the most common ORL diseases. Tonsillectomy, as a method of surgical treatment associated with blood loss, and is accompanied by frequent perioperative bleeding. For the control of bleeding, it is advisable to use fibrinolysis inhibitors, one of which is tranexamic acid (TA). The study aimed to optimize the approach to performing tonsillectomy by preoperative application of a TA solution to reduce the volume of perioperative blood loss. Clinical studies were performed in 107 patients with recurrent tonsillitis who underwent bilateral tonsillectomy. The patients were divided into two groups. In the 1st (main) group of 54 patients in the preoperative period was administered a 10% solution of TA at the rate of 10 mg/kg body weight. The 2nd (control) group consisted of 53 patients without the use of TA. The efficacy of using tranexamic acid was evaluated by clinical (surgery time, the volume of blood loss intraoperatively, accounting for postoperative events, evaluation of the incidence of postoperative bleeding), and laboratory data (baseline and postoperative levels of D-dimer, level of soluble fibrin complexes. In group 1, a statistically significant decrease in the volume of blood loss, a decrease in the frequency of occurrence of intraoperative complications, postoperative bleeding, and a reduction in the triviality of the operation were determined. According to laboratory data, in patients of this group, the increase in the content of fibrin lysis products, the extension of thrombin time was significantly less pronounced than in the 2nd comparison group. The use of 10% TA solution before performing bilateral tonsillectomy leads to a decrease in blood loss, frequency, and the degree of occurrence of perioperative complications. Background: After suffering from COVID-19, a large number of patients need respiratory rehabilitation. One of the methods of rehabilitation is inhalation with salt aerosols., Objective: Our work aimed to study the effectiveness of inhalations of a dry aerosol of salt precipitated from the mineral water of the "Teplitsa multidisciplinary sanatorium", Transcarpathian region of Ukraine., Material and Methods: 30 male patients were examined after suffering from COVID-19. We formed two groups of patients, control and main, 15 people each. Patients in the control group received inhalation with a dry aerosol of table salt of the "Aero-M-sol". In contrast, patients in the main group received a course of inhalations with a dry aerosol of salt precipitated from the mineral water., Results and Discussion: Under the influence of the rehabilitation complex in both groups, there is a performance improvement but significant changes are observed only in patients of the main group. The indicator Forced Vital Сapacity1 increased to the greatest extent, which after rehabilitation is significantly higher than in the control group (p<0.05). As a result, the Tiffeneau index significantly increases in the main group compared to the control group, reaching normal values. The main effect is associated with a decrease in obstructive complications of the respiratory tract as a result of a decrease in inflammation. The use of iodine-bromine brines (as in our case) for inhalation in the treatment of respiratory diseases has been proven to be effective, with systemic effects in the form of decreased IgE and increased IgA in the blood serum having been noticed., Conclusions: The use of haloinhalations with MW salts in the rehabilitation of patients after suffering from COVID-19 disease significantly improves the clinical condition of convalescents.

Background: Metabolic Syndrome (MS) is a widespread pathological condition, a group of interconnected metabolic disorders that contribute to the development of a number of severe noncommunicable diseases. Natural mineral waters of various compositions are widely used in the correction of MS. Their biological activity and specificity of action is associated with the presence of specific components (micronutrients, biologically active substances). At the same time, many researchers do not pay enough attention to the role of the biological activity of macro nutrients in low mineralized mineral waters., Objective: To assess the corrective effect of macro-components of mineral waters based on a comparative analysis of changes in the structure of internal organs of white rats with the MS model, receiving mineral waters of the same balneological type, but with different quantitative composition of macro components., Materials and Methods: The material for histological and histochemical tests were the internal organs of male white rats with body weight 280-320 g. Animals were ranked into 4 groups: I - rats served as a control, ӀӀ - rats with a model of MS; ӀӀӀ and ӀV - rats received the mineral waters against the background of MS modeling. The mineral waters used in the work were characterized by an increased (in close amounts) content of organic substances (C org.), similar in chemical but different in quantitative macro-component composition. At the same time, mineral waters practically did not differ in terms of total mineralization. Modeling of MS was carried out for 60 days by replacing 10% fructose solution in drinking water bowls, introducing white bread crackers into the diet, and excluding green mass from the diet. In groups where animals were corrected for MS, mineral waters were administered with an intragastric tube with olive at a dose of 1% of body weight daily, starting from the 60th day of the experiment, for 12 days. Upon completion of the experiment on day 72, histological sections (which were stained with hematoxylin-eosin) were prepared from the extracted pieces of the heart, stomach, liver and kidneys tissues. The succinate-dehydrogenase (SDH) and lactate-dehydrogenase (LDH) activity were determined on the prepared cryostat sections. Using a light microscope, changes in the structure of the above organs and changes in the activity of oxidative-restorative enzymes were evaluated., Results: The activity of oxidative-restorative enzymes was approaching normal; some manifestations of changes in water metabolism in the animal organism persisted. At the end of the use of both mineral waters, a significant decrease was found in the content of visceral fat around the intestines, renal capsule, under the pericardium, which correlated with a decrease in the animal's body weight and restoration of the fasting blood glucose level to the cereal level. The authors believe that the established features of the corrective effect of both mineral waters on changes in the structure of internal organs are explained not so much by the difference in the content and ratio of the bioactive component (C org.), but by differences in the content of macronutrients. In mineral waters obtained by rats of group III, the content of Cl- and SO4+2 ions is 2.30 and 3.67 times, and Ca2+ and Мg2+ ions are 2.75 and 4.57 more than in mineral waters, which received rats of group IV.
