Objective: This study was performed to describe the epidemiology of patients with severe burns hospitalized in a burn intensive care unit (BICU), explore the risk factors associated with the patients’ outcomes and evaluate the ability of prognostic scoring systems as risk prediction of mortality. Methods: The data for this study were derived from patients with severe burns in the BICU of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital from 2015 to 2019. The following epidemiological information and outcomes were collected for retrospective analysis: sex, age, date of injury, etiology of burn, admission time after injury, extent of burn, inhalation injury, length of stay, and outcome. Abbreviated Burn Severity Index (ABSI), prognostic burn index (PBI), the burn index (BI), Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury (BOBI) scores and the revised Baux (rBaux) scores were calculated. Results: Of the 243 patients included in this study, the median age was 41.00 (22.00) years and the male: female ratio was 4.28:1.00. Most of the burns had occurred from March to July. Flame was the main cause of the burns (77.37%), followed by electricity (14.40%). In total, 78.19% of all patients sustained third-degree burns, and the median burn area and third-degree burn area of patients were 40% (53%) and 15.0% (43.0%) of the total body surface area, respectively. The incidence of inhalation injury was 69.14%. Tracheotomy was performed in 53.89% of the patients with inhalation injuries, and the rate of tracheostomy showing a rising trend. The median length of stay was 37 (40) days, and the case fatality rate was 8.64%. Multivariable logistic regression model indicated that age and third-degree burn area were risk factors for death, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve for the full prediction model was 0.921 (95% CI = 0.874–0.967). Conclusions: The majority of severe burns are flame-related accidents in middle-aged men. Risk prediction model combining age and third-degree burn area has better mortality predictive value.

Summary: Histones are main components of chromatin, and the protein levels of histones significantly affect chromatin assembly. However, how histone protein levels are regulated, especially whether and how histones are degraded, is largely unclear. Here, we found that histone H2B is mainly degraded through the proteasome-mediated pathway, and the lysine-120 site of H2B is essential for its K48-linked polyubiquitination and degradation. Moreover, the degradation-impaired H2BK120R mutant shows an increased nucleolus localization, and inhibition of the proteasome results in an elevated nucleolus distribution of wild-type H2B, which is similar to that of H2BK120R mutants. More importantly, the nucleolus fractions can ubiquitinate and degrade the purified H2B in vitro, suggesting that the nucleolus, in addition to its canonical roles regulating ribosome genesis and protein translation, likely associates with H2B degradation. Therefore, these findings revealed a novel mechanism for the regulation of H2B degradation in which a nucleolus-associated proteasome pathway is involved.

The coordinated development of new energy vehicles and the energy storage industry has become essential for reducing carbon emissions. The cathode material is the key material that determines the energy density and cost of a power battery, but currently developed and applied cathode materials cannot meet the requirements for high specific capacity, low cost, safety, and good stability. High-entropy materials (HEMs) are a new type of single-phase material composed of multiple principal elements in equimolar or near-equimolar ratios. The interaction between multiple elements can play an important role in improving the comprehensive properties of the material, which is expected to solve the limitations of battery materials in practical applications. Therefore, this review provides a comprehensive overview of the current development status and modification strategies of power batteries (lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium-ion batteries (SIBs)), proposes a high-entropy design strategy, and analyses the structure–activity relationship between the high-entropy effects and battery performance. Finally, future research topics related to high-entropy cathode materials, including computational guide design, specific synthesis methods, high-entropy electrochemistry, and high-throughput databases, are proposed. This review aims to provide practical guidance for the development of high-entropy cathode materials for next-generation power batteries.

Abstract Background Previous studies on PCT for urinary tract infections (UTI) have focused primarily on minors. This study investigated the predictive value of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), C-reactive protein (CRP) level and procalcitonin (PCT) level in adult patients with bacteriuria in IUC. Methods This case‒control study included 85 patients with bacteriuria (PB) in the ICU from March 2021 to Jan 2024 based on positive urine culture results and a control group (n = 136) from Jan 2024 to March 2024. Patient data were collected using a hospital information management system. ROC curves of the NLR, CRP and PCT were use to predict the PB. Results The AUCs of the NLR, CRP and PCT for the prediction of PB in ICU were 0.711 (95% CI 0.644–0.772), 0.855 (95% CI 0.800–0.900), and 0.884 (95% CI 0.832–0.924), respectively; the optimal thresholds were 8.02, 18.52 mg/L, and 0.215 ng/mL, respectively; the sensitivities were 69.0 (95% CI 56.9–79.5), 90.1 (95% CI 80.7–95.9), and 83.1 (95% CI 72.3–91.0), respectively; and the specificities were 67.6 (95% CI 59.1–75.4), 68.4 (95% CI 59.9–76.1), and 80.9 (95% CI 73.3–87.1), respectively. The negative predictive value (NPV) of CRP is greater than that of PCT. In bacteriuria caused by Candida infections, CRP and PCT have higher sensitivity and NPV. Conclusions Combined CRP and PCT testing is more helpful for diagnosing bacteriuria. CRP and PCT have higher sensitivity and NPV in diagnosing bacteriuria caused by Candida infection.

Under partial-load conditions, the combined application of exhaust gas recirculation of heat recovery steam generator and compressor inlet guide vane adjustment (EGR-IGVC) can effectively improve the performance of gas turbine combined cycle. However, if this strategy is combined with the temperature control scheme of constant T3(turbine inlet temperature)-T4m(maximum allowable turbine exhaust temperature), which is often adopted in gas turbine combined cycles under part-load conditions, it would cause a large bottoming cycle exergy destruction and a significant decrease in bottoming cycle power output at relatively lower loads. In this paper, a constant T3-T4m-T4d (the design value of turbine exhaust temperature) scheme suitable for the EGR-IGVC strategy is proposed, the PG9351FA gas turbine combined cycle unit is taken as the research object, and the partial-load performance of combined cycle under the two temperature control schemes is compared and investigated based on energy and exergy analysis. The results show that the combination of the EGR-IGVC strategy with the constant T3-T4m scheme is still the best at the ambient temperature of 15 ℃ and the partial-load rate of above 80%. At a load of 30%—80%, compared with the constant T3-T4m scheme, the EGR-IGVC strategy combined with the constant T3-T4m-T4d scheme can increase the gas turbine efficiency by 0.15%—0.47%, and decrease the exergy destruction of the heat recovery steam generator by more than 0.51%(2.15 MW). The results also show that adopting the constant T3-T4m-T4d scheme can always obtain higher combined cycle efficiency when the ambient temperature varies between 0 and 40 ℃. In addition, the increase in partial-load efficiency becomes more evident with the rise of ambient temperature.

Abstract Background Persistent infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) plays a key role in the onset of cervical cancer. This study was designed to examine the epidemiological trends and genotype distribution of HPV from 2014 to 2023 in the plateau region of Southwest China. Methods The findings could offer valuable insights for clinical screening of cervical cancer and the formulation of HPV vaccination policies. This retrospective study analyzed 66,000 women who received HPV-DNA testing at the First People’s Hospital of Qujing, Yunnan, China, between 2014 and 2023. The cohort consisted of 33,512 outpatients, 3,816 inpatients, and 28,672 individuals undergoing health examinations. Cervical cells were collected for DNA extraction, and PCR amplification along with Luminex xMAP technology were used to detect 27 HPV genotypes. The data analysis was conducted using GraphPad Prism and IBM SPSS Statistics 27 software. Results The overall HPV infection rate at the First People’s Hospital of Qujing declined from 24.92% in 2014 to 16.29% in 2023, averaging 16.02%. Specific infection rates were 18.50% among outpatients, 12.97% among inpatients, and 13.53% for health examination attendees. The predominant high-risk HPV genotypes identified were HPV52 (2.61%), HPV16 (2.06%), HPV58 (1.81%), HPV53 (1.55%), and HPV39 (1.09%). Meanwhile, the most frequent low-risk HPV genotypes were HPV6 (1.30%), HPV61 (1.21%), and HPV11 (0.85%). In HPV-positive cases, the distribution of single, double, triple, and quadruple or more infections were 79.90%, 15.17%, 3.59%, and 1.33%, respectively. The proportions of pure LR-HPV, pure HR-HPV, and mixed infections were 22.16%, 67.82%, and 10.02%, respectively. Age-specific analysis revealed a bimodal distribution of HPV infection, with the infection rate rapidly decreasing from 44.02% in the ≤ 19 age group to 19.55% in the 20–29 age group and 13.84% in the 30–39 age group, followed by a gradual increase to 14.64% in the 40–49 age group, 16.65% in the 50–59 age group, and 22.98% in the ≥ 60 age group. The coverage rates of the three available vaccines are all below 50%. The results of this study indicated a declining trend in HPV prevalence in the plateau region of Southwest China over the period from 2014 to 2023, especially in the reduction of genotypes targeted by vaccines. Conclusion There were significant variations in the genotypes prevalent among different age groups, years, and patient sources within the same region. The underwhelming vaccination rates emphasize the critical need for developing either a multivalent vaccine or a personalized vaccine that targets the HPV genotypes common in the Chinese population. Furthermore, vaccinating adolescents to curb HPV infection and ensuring regular cervical cancer screenings for postmenopausal women are crucial steps.

Abstract Background This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of recombinant human endostatin (Rh-endostatin) plus programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) inhibitors and chemotherapy as first-line treatment for advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in a real-world setting. Methods This was a retrospective study on patients with EGFR/ALK-negative, advanced or metastatic NSCLC. Patients received Rh-endostatin plus PD-1 inhibitors and chemotherapy every three weeks for 4 to 6 cycles. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS), and the secondary endpoints were objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), overall survival (OS), and safety. Results A total of 68 patients were included in this retrospective analysis. As of data cutoff (December 13, 2022), the median follow-up of 21.4 months (interquartile range [IQR], 8.3-44.4 months). The median PFS and OS was 22.0 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 16.6-27.4) and 31.0 months (95% CI: 23.4-not evaluable [NE]), respectively. The ORR was 72.06% (95% CI: 59.85-82.27%), and DCR was 95.59% (95% CI: 87.64-99.08%). Patients with stage IIIB/IIIC NSCLC had significantly longer median PFS (23.4 vs. 13.2 months), longer median OS (not reached vs. 18.0 months), and higher ORR (89.2% vs. 51.6%) than those with stage IV NSCLC (all p ≤ 0.001). The ORR was higher in patients with high PD-L1 expression (tumor proportion score [TPS] ≥ 50%) than in those with low PD-L1 expression or positive PD-L1 expression (75% vs. 50%, p = 0.025). All patients experienced treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs), and ≥ grade 3 TRAEs occurred in 16 (23.53%) patients. Conclusions Rh-endostatin combined with PD-1 inhibitors plus chemotherapy as first-line treatment yielded favorable effectiveness with a manageable profile in patients with advanced or metastatic NSCLC, representing a promising treatment modality.

随着人口老龄化，长期接受抗血小板治疗的患者在神经外科手术治疗人群中的比例不断增加。抗血小板药物导致的潜在血小板功能低下会影响术中止血效果，并增加术中大出血和术后出血并发症风险。因此，如何在术前快速准确地评估血小板功能，对于全面评估患者止血功能具有重要意义。本文通过总结相关文献，结合血小板功能检测在神经外科的使用现状，分析目前常用血小板功能检测方法的优缺点，介绍改善血小板功能的相关疗法，以期提高神经外科医师对血小板功能的认识。 Abstract: With the aging of the population, the proportion of patients receiving long-term antiplatelet therapy among those undergoing surgical treatment is increasing. Potential platelet hypofunction caused by antiplatelet drugs can affect intraoperative hemostasis and increase the risks of massive intraoperative hemorrhage and postoperative bleeding complications. Therefore, a quick and accurate assessment of platelet function before surgery is of great significance in comprehensively evaluating a patient’s hemostatic function. Based on the summary of relevant literature and the current status of the application of platelet function tests in neurosurgery, this paper analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the currently commonly used platelet function tests, and introduced relevant therapies to improve platelet function, with the aim of improving the understanding of platelet function among neurosurgeons.

Abstract Background Lung adenocarcinoma is a high-mortality rate cancer. Within this category, Lung mucinous adenocarcinoma (LMAC) is a rare and distinct subtype of lung adenocarcinoma necessitating further investigation. The study was launched to compare the difference of survival features between LMAC and lung non-mucinous adenocarcinoma (LNMAC) and to investigate the significance and demand for developing a new staging system tailored to LMAC. Methods This retrospective study assessed the suitableness of the current staging system for LMAC. It compared the overall survival (OS) between LMAC and LNMAC from 2004 to 2020 (LNMAC: 160,387; LMAC: 6,341) and instituted a novel classification framework for LMAC based on US population. Verification group consisting of patients from two Chinese medical centers from 2010 to 2018 (n = 392) was set to ascertain the applicability of this novel system. The primary endpoint was OS. To minimize the bias, propensity score match (PSM) was employed. Survival analysis and Log-rank test were executed to explore the survival features of LMAC. Results The results indicated that the existed staging system was not suitable for LMAC. Patients diagnosed with LMAC exhibited a superior OS compared to those with LNMAC in stage IA2 (P

Optical remote sensing image classification is one of the key technologies in the field of Earth observation. In recent years, researchers have proposed optical remote sensing image classification using deep neural networks. Aiming at the problem of inadequate feature extraction in some network models, this paper proposes a remote sensing image classification method based on scene context perception and attention enhancement, called ScEfficientNet. This method designs a scene context-driven module (SCDM) to model the spatial relationship between the target and its surrounding neighborhood, enhancing the original feature representation with scene context features. It introduces a convolutional block attention module (CBAM) to weight the feature maps based on the importance of channels and spatial locations, and combines it with a depth-wise separable convolution structure to extract discriminative information of the targets, referred to as ScMBConv. Based on the above works, the ScEfficientNet model, which incorporates scene context perception and attention enhancement, is used for remote sensing image classification. Experimental results show that ScEfficientNet achieves an accuracy of 96.8% in AID dataset, which is a 3.3% improvement over the original network, with a parameter count of 5.55 M. The overall performance is superior to other image classification algorithms such as VGGNet19, GoogLeNet and ViT-B, confirming the effectiveness of the ScEfficientNet model.

For exploring the effect of thiourea on the corrosion resistance of waterborne acrylic resin organic silane composite passivation film on Zn-Al-Mg coating, an aqueous acrylic resin-organosilane was used as the main film-forming material, and different contents of thiourea were added to formulate a chromium-free passivate solution for the composite passivation of Zn-Al-Mg coatings. The particle size of thiourea was measured by Nano ZS90 nanoparticle size analyzer, and the structure of thiourea was tested by Nicolet 6700 Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR). In addition, the corrosion resistance of the composite passivation film was analyzed through full immersion test, electrochemical test and neutral salt spray test, and the effect of thiourea content on the corrosion rate of the composite passivation film was explored. Results showed that thiourea possessed an inhibitory effect on the corrosion resistance of Zn-Al-Mg coatings, but too much thiourea could lead to a decrease in the corrosion inhibition of the passivation film. Compared with three different addition amounts of thiourea, the corrosion resistance of the Zn-Al-Mg coating was optimal when the mass fraction of thiourea in the passivation solution was 0.5%. Furthermore, thiourea and waterborne acrylic resin organic silane underwent cross-linking, and after corrosion, they formed a complex with metals, forming a dense network structure, which improved the density of the film layer and reduced the corrosion rate of the film layer.

Objective To investigate the regulatory effects of transmembrane protein with EGF-like and two follistatin-like domain 1(TMEFF1/tomoregulin 1) on the proliferation and migration of neuroblastoma (NB) cell line SN-K-BE(2). Methods TMEFF1 mRNA in neuroblastoma cell lines SN-K-BE(2), IMR32, SK-N-SH, SK-N-AS and normal cell lines MCF10A and hTERT RPE-1 was detected by RT-qPCR. Small interfering RNA (siRNA) was used to construct transient knockdown TMEFF1 normal and SN-K-BE (2) NB cell lines. The effect of transient knockdown of TMEFF1 mRNA was examined by RT-qPCR. After transfection of SN-K-BE (2) cells with siRNA, cell proliferation was detected by colony-forming unit assay and real-time cell analysis (RTCA). The positive rate of Ki-67 cells was determined by immunofluorescence staining. CellTiter-Glo (CTG) was used to detect cell activity. Stable knockdown of TMEFF1 was performed in SK-N-BE(2) cells by short hairpin RNA (shRNA) lentiviral infection, the stable outcomes of TMEFF1 was also detected by RT-qPCR. Cell proliferation was detected by coloning formation, RTCA and CTG. In addition, the positive rate of Ki-67 cells was detected by immunofluorescence,the cell mobility was measured by cell scratch assay. Results Compared with normal cell lines, the expression of TMEFF1 in NB cell lines was significantly higher (P＜0.001). Transient or stable knockdown of TMEFF1 had no significant effect on the proliferation of normal cell lines. However, by knocking down TMEFF1 decreased cell proliferation of SN-K-BE (2) cells as showen RTCA and colony-forming unit assay (P＜0.05). Immunofluorescence results showed that the rate of Ki-67 positive cells was reduced (P＜0.001). CTG results showed that the cell activity was decreased(P＜0.01). Cell scratch assay also showed that the cell migration ratio in the knockdown group was significantly lower than that of control group (P＜0.01). Conclusions TMEFF1 is a protein specifically highly expressed in neuroblastoma. TMEFF1 knockdown has no effect on normal cell lines, but significantly inhibited the proliferation and migration of NB cells, suggesting that TMEFF1 may play an important role in the occurrence and development of neuroblastoma, and so may be a potential target for NB targeting therapy.

pH, NaCl and temperature are important process parameters for the manufacturing of soybean protein isolate (SPI). pH and NaCl affect protein aggregation by modifying the surface charge and electrostatic repulsion, whereas temperature affects protein aggregation by changing the surface hydrophobicity and/or disulfide bonding, which in turn changes the particle size and compactness and then the rheology and downstream application characteristics of SPI. This paper reviews the effects and possible mechanisms of pH, NaCl, and temperature on the denaturation, aggregation, and rheological properties of SPI and its components glycinin and β-conglycinin with respect to interaction, thermal stability, degree of aggregation, and gelling properties. The relationship between the degree of protein aggregation, gel strand thickness, gel strand curvature and gel network continuity and gel strength is discussed, and the differences among the effects of pH, NaCl and temperature on protein aggregation are summarized for the purpose of providing an assistance in regulating the degree of SPI aggregation by preparation parameters.

Active phytochemicals with unique electron structures can adsorb on metal surfaces and effectively mitigate metal corrosion. Recently, plant extracts have garnered significant attention as green and renewable corrosion inhibitors. In this study, the abundant agricultural byproducts, namely Zea mays bracts, were used as the extract raw materials, and Zea mays bracts extract (ZMBE) was served as an eco-friendly corrosion inhibitor for mild steel (MS) in 1 M HCl pickling solution. The organic substances in ZMBE were analyzed via ultra-high performance liquid chromatography- quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-QTFMS). The interaction between the active functional groups and MS was investigated using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and ultraviolet–visible (UV–visible) spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The corrosion inhibition behavior was scrutinized through potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results show that functional groups such as aromatic rings, double bonds, and hydroxyls successfully adsorb on the MS surface to form the protective films. ZMBE exhibits a mixed-type corrosion inhibition with a “geometric coverage” effect. The corrosion inhibition efficiency (η) increases with ZMBE concentration and solution temperature, the optimum η with 5.0 g·L−1 ZMBE at 318 K is 96.2 %. The adsorption of active ingredients follows the Langmuir and El-Awady isotherms. Density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations prove the synergistic effect of complex components in ZMBE and the corrosion inhibition mechanism. ZMBE is a promising acid pickling corrosion inhibitor with broad application prospects.

Abstract Radiotherapy demonstrates a synergistic effect with immunotherapy by inducing a transformation of “immune cold” tumors into “immune hot” tumors in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). Nevertheless, the effectiveness of immunotherapy is constrained by low expression of tumor‐exposed antigens, inadequate inflammation, and insufficient tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TILs). To address this predicament, novel lutecium‐based rare earth nanoparticles (RENPs) are synthesized with the aim of amplifying radiation effect and tumor immune response. The nanoprobe is characterized by neodymium‐based down‐conversion fluorescence, demonstrating robust photostability, biocompatibility, and targetability. The conjugation of RENPs with a CXCR4 targeted drug enables precise delineation of breast tumors using a near‐infrared imaging system and improves radiation efficacy via lutetium‐based radio‐sensitizer in vivo. Furthermore, the study shows a notable enhancement of immune response through the induction of immunogenic cell death and recruitment of TILs, resulting in the inhibition of tumor progression both in vitro and in vivo models following the administration of nanoparticles. Hence, the novel multifunctional nanoprobes incorporating various lanthanide elements offer the potential for imaging‐guided tumor delineation, radio‐sensitization, and immune activation post‐radiation, thus presenting an efficient radio‐immunotherapeutic approach for TNBC.

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the world's most important staple crops, whose production is critical to feed the expanding population worldwide. The 90-kDa Heat Shock Protein 90 (HSP90) is a highly abundant chaperone protein involved in multiple cellular processes. It facilitates the folding of nascent preproteins for their maturation and functioning. This data described HSP90.2 clients identified from the whole genome of wheat. The HSP90.2 chaperome contains over 1500 proteins, most detected by the C terminus and full-length of HSP90.2. Over 60 % of the clients reside in the cytosol, nucleus, and chloroplasts. Cytoskeleton-related proteins are enriched in the chaperome of the N terminus of HSP90.2. The clients of the middle part of HSP90.2 contains several factors involved in ethylene biosynthesis and extracellular vesicle or organelle-related activities. Some clients related to plant hypersensitive response are induced by stripe rust. The presented dataset could isolate proteins regulated by HSP90.2 at the post-translational level.

Silicone rubber (SR), as one kind of highly valuable rubber material, has been widely used in many fields, e.g., construction, transportation, the electronics industry, automobiles, aviation, and biology, owing to its attractive properties, including high- and low-temperature resistance, weathering resistance, chemical stability, and electrical isolation, as well as transparency. Unfortunately, the inherent flammability of SR largely restricts its practical application in many fields that have high standard requirements for flame retardancy. Throughout the last decade, a series of flame-retardant strategies have been adopted which enhance the flame retardancy of SR and even enhance its other key properties, such as mechanical properties and thermal stability. This comprehensive review systematically reviewed the recent research advances in flame-retarded SR materials and summarized and introduced the up-to-date design of different types of flame retardants and their effects on flame-retardant properties and other performances of SR. In addition, the related flame-retardant mechanisms of the as-prepared flame-retardant SR materials are analyzed and presented. Moreover, key challenges associated with these various types of FRs are discussed, and future development directions are also proposed.

This research investigated the impact of Cr content on the properties of (Mo,Cr)Si2 composites. Composites with CrSi2 molar fractions ranging from 0% to 10% were fabricated using spark plasma sintering (SPS). The study undertook a systematic analysis of the surface morphology, phase composition, mechanical properties, and high-temperature oxidation resistance of the sintered samples across different compositions. Notably, the (Mo95,Cr5)Si2 composite sintered at 1400 °C exhibited enhanced properties, including a Vickers hardness of 11.6 GPa, a fracture toughness of 4.6 MPa·m1/2, and a flexural strength of 397 MPa. Upon oxidation at 1500 °C, the (Mo,Cr)Si2 composites formed a protective oxide layer comprised of SiO2 and Cr2O3. It was found that the generation and thickening of the protective oxide layer was promoted by the addition of moderate amounts of Cr to MoSi2.

Abstract Background In the United States, the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) and the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) are two major data sharing resources for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) research. NACC and ADNI strive to make their data more FAIR (findable, interoperable, accessible and reusable) for the broader research community. However, there is limited work harmonizing and supporting cross-cohort interoperability of the two resources. Method In this paper, we leverage an ontology-based approach to harmonize data elements in the two resources and develop a web-based query system to search patient cohorts across the two resources. We first mapped data elements across NACC and ADNI, and performed value harmonization for the mapped data elements with inconsistent permissible values. Then we built an Alzheimer’s Disease Data Element Ontology (ADEO) to model the mapped data elements in NACC and ADNI. We further developed a prototype cross-cohort query system to search patient cohorts across NACC and ADNI. Results After manual review, we found 172 mappings between NACC and ADNI. These 172 mappings were further used to construct common concepts in ADEO. Our data element mapping and harmonization resulted in five files storing common concepts, variables in NACC and ADNI, mappings between variables and common concepts, permissible values of categorical type data elements, and coding inconsistency harmonization, respectively. Our cross-cohort query system consists of three core architectural elements: a web-based interface, an advanced query engine, and a backend MongoDB database. Conclusions In this work, ADEO has been specifically designed to facilitate data harmonization and cross-cohort query of NACC and ADNI data resources. Although our prototype cross-cohort query system was developed for exploring NACC and ADNI, its backend and frontend framework has been designed and implemented to be generally applicable to other domains for querying patient cohorts from multiple heterogeneous data sources.

The accumulation and sudden release of elastic energy of near-field surrounding rock is the essence of strain-type rock burst in deep roadway. In order to further understand the mechanism of near-field surrounding rock energy on rock burst disasters, a strain-type rock burst model was established, the energy process of strain-type rock burst was proposed, and the energy supply law of strain-type rock burst energy source to burst rock under different factors was revealed by combining theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. The results show that: in the strain-type rock burst, the ratio of energy supply to total energy of near-field surrounding rock system is negatively correlated with the stiffness ratio of energy supply to burst rock; the higher the elastic modulus of the roof and floor is, the higher ratio of the deep coal is, and the lower ratio of the roof and flooris. The larger depth of the burst rock is, the lower the energy supply ratio of the corresponding deep coal is, and the higher the energy supply ratio of the roof and floor is; under the condition of hard roof and floor strata, the prevention and control of strain-type rock burst is to reduce the energy storage of deep coal and reduce the energy supply of deep coal. Under the condition of soft roof and floor strata, the prevention and control of strain-type rock burst should strengthen roof support and floor pressure relief to reduce the energy supply of roof and floor; the roof and floor are the main energy supply sources for the strong-strain-type rock burst, and the energy of the deep coal plays a scouring effect on the weak-strain-type rock burst.

A BERT-MDLP-Bayesian Network model (BMB) is proposed to analyze the improvement strategy of e-commerce products based on user generated content (UGC). The proposed model can be represented into four parts: clearing redundant data on the obtained UGC, extracting product attributes and word vector to generate product attributes, establishing product attribute Bayesian network corresponding to UGC, and inferring the causal relationship between product attributes. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model, an amazon tablet product is used for empirical analysis. Compared with the traditional model, BMB model has better performance in product feature mining in three aspects of feature diversity, feature long tail and attribute difference. In application, the model can effectively describe the core problems of products, and provide suggestions for e-commerce to modify marketing strategies and determine the new direction of product development.

The fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm is considered as an important element of the processor’s basic software ecology, and it is widely applied in the field of engineering, science, physics and mathematics. Meanwhile, the requirements for the performance of FFT in these applications are also continuously rising. Therefore, it is of definite significance to study the high-performance implementation of FFT algorithm, especially the high-performance implementation of large radices of FFT in ARMv8 and X86-64, and to improve the calculation performance of FFT algorithm. In view of the architectural features of the ARMv8 and X86-64 computing platforms, this paper studies the high-performance implementation and optimization methods of the FFT algorithm. Through the application of butterfly network optimization, large radices network stages decrease, large radices butterfly computation optimization, SIMD (single instruction multiple data) assembly optimization, and register usage optimization methods, this paper effectively improves the performance of the FFT algorithm, considerably improves the calculation performance of the large radices of FFT, and solves the performance bottlenecks of insufficiency of register resources. Lastly, the summary of a set of Cooley-Tukey FFT algorithm high-performance implementation strategies and optimization solutions is made. The experimental results indicate that for the ARM and X86-64 processors, the FFT algorithm implemented can achieve a significant improvement in performance compared with ARMPL (ARM performance library), Intel MKL (math kernel library) and FFTW (fastest Fourier transform in the West) and can achieve a significant improvement in performance compared with small and medium radices.

Abstract Background The purpose of this study was to compare the serum inflammatory indicators and radiographic results of conventional manual total knee arthroplasty (CM-TKA) with those of MAKO-robotic assisted total knee arthroplasty (MA-TKA). Methods We retrospectively analysed 65 patients with knee osteoarthritis who underwent unilateral TKA from December 2020 to November 2021 in our department, which included 34 patients who underwent MA-TKA and 31 patients who underwent CM-TKA. The tourniquet time and estimated blood loss (EBL) were compared between the two groups. Knee function was evaluated using range of motion (ROM), functional score and pain score. Leukocytes, C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), interleukin-6 (IL-6), creatine kinase (CK), and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) were recorded at 3 time points (preoperative, and on the first and third postoperative days). The hip-knee-ankle angle (HKA) and the femoral and tibial component angles in the coronal and sagittal planes were used for postoperative radiographic evaluation. Results The postoperative MA-TKA group had less EBL (496.9 ± 257.8 vs. 773.0 ± 301.3 ml, p 0.05). IL-6 levels were significantly lower in the MA-TKA group on the 1st postoperative day (11.4 (5.2, 21.0) vs. 24.6 (86.3, 170.8), p = 0.031). This difference in inflammatory indices became more pronounced at 72 hours after the operation because CRP, ESR, IL-6, and CK values were significantly lower in the MA-TKA group on the 3rd postoperative day (72 h) (p 0.05). Conclusions In Chinese patients with OA, there was a milder systemic inflammatory response in the early postoperative period after MA-TKA compared to that of CM-TKA, as well as better radiographic outcomes. However, the tourniquet time was prolonged, and no advantages were observed in terms of functional score or pain score in the short-term follow-up.
