1. Analysis of Legal Risks in Psychological Crisis Events among University Students

Abstract

The psychological crises of university students are an important factor affecting the security and stability of colleges and universities. Against the background of school governance, the definition and characteristics of college students' psychological crisis events should be correctly understood and the legal risks clearly classified to help prevent crisis incidents. Legal risks have important practical significance. The author starts with the definition of college students' psychological crisis events and divides the characteristics into two parts: cause diversity and result sensitivity. The legal risks associated with the process are clearly divided into civil, administrative and procedural legal risks, which are specifically manifested in the duty of care in the prevention and response stages of the safety responsibility of colleges and universities. In the process, is there any infringement of privacy violations, and when an incident occurs, does the university take timely and positive measures and pay attention to protecting citizens' legitimate rights and interests during the emergency response process? Are statutory after-care obligations such as diversion and guidance covered in the aftermath phase? Are students provided with reasonable and legitimate complaint channels?

2. Preparation and Characterization of Lithium Grease Using 9, 10-dioxystearic Acid

Abstract

This paper aims to find a desirable new thickener for producing lithium grease. To this end, a lithium grease was prepared using self-made 9,10-dihydroxystearic acid (DHSA) as the thickener. Then, the properties of the DHSALi-based grease were compared with the traditional lithium grease prepared from 12-hydroxystearic acid (HSA). Additionally, the differences between the two greases were discussed considering molecular structure and grease-oil gel dispersion. The results show that the DHSALi-based grease outperformed the traditional grease in terms of shear stability, consistency, dropping point, colloidal stability, wear resistance and antifriction property, despite its poor shear stability. The research proves that DHSALi is a desirable raw material of grease thickener.

Abstract

In this article, we report the first experimental results of a novel 4H-silicon carbide (SiC) p-i-n photodetector based on a vertical nanocone array (NCA). It is fabricated by electron beam lithography and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching technology. The performance of static and dynamic behavior was studied systematically. It shows the responsivity of ~41.9 mA/W under 360 nm at a bias voltage of -0.5 V and has a linear response to the ultraviolet (UV) light in a wide light intensity range of 0.1-10⁴ mW/cm². The response time decreased as the light intensity rose from 3 mW/cm² to 5 W/cm² and then leveled off at higher light intensity (>100 mW/cm²), which is about 0.25 ms. The photodetector -3-dB cutoff is ~3400 Hz at λ = 360 nm and light intensity = 100 mW/cm². Besides, the detector can respond to the UV light from 260 to 360 nm and the peak responsivity is ~78 mA/W at 320 nm. The analysis results have reference values for the development of an innovative 4H-SiC UV photodetector to some extent.

Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to compare lumboperitoneal shunt (LPS) and ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VPS) in the treatment of idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH). Methods: From September 2016 to November 2019, 76 iNPH patients who underwent shunt operation were recruited and assigned to a lumboperitoneal shunt group (LPS group, n=40) and a ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VPS group, n=36) according to different treatment methods. The right first time (RFT) and improvement in triad of the two groups were observed. Keifer’s hydrocephalus score (KHS) was used to evaluate the improvement of clinical symptoms, Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) were used to evaluate the improvement of cognitive function, and the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) to evaluate the postoperative living status of patients. The two groups of patients were followed up for 6 months to observe the postoperative curative effect and incidence of complications. Results: The RFT of LPS group was markedly higher than that of VPS group. There was no remarkable difference in the improvement of triad, KHS score, MMSE score, NIHSS score, and FIM score between the two groups after treatment, as well as overall response rate (ORR) after six months. The total incidence of complications in LPS group was considerably lower than that in VPS group. Conclusion: LPS and VPS have similar curative effect in the treatment of iNPH, but LPS can avoid intraparenchymal hemorrhage (IPH) caused by ventricular puncture, and it increases the RFT.
