As a natural language processing model based on artificial intelligence technology, ChatGPT provides a new path in assisting clinical care implementation, enhancing patient health management and realizing patient intelligent companionship. Given that any technology has two sides, ChatGPT also has potential risks in nursing practice, such as inadequate construction inducing nursing errors, alienated nurse-patient relationship of 'digital dependence', and ethical considerations caused by information worries. Therefore, it is suggested to improve the regulatory system, clarify the main body of responsibility, break the 'information cocoon', improve digital literacy, control information 'streaked', avoid algorithm discrimination and other strategies to improve the application value of ChatGPT in nursing practice and promote the rational development of ChatGPT artificial intelligence in the field of nursing.

Cerasus humilis fruit is known for its high acidity, surpassing that of most other fruits. The metabolism of organic acids in these fruits significantly influences sugar and calcium accumulation. However, research on this metabolic process is limited. This study investigates the organic acid metabolism and the accumulation patterns of sugars and calcium during the development of Cerasus humilis fruits. Using low−acid and high−acid varieties from Inner Mongolia, we compared organic acid components and the activity of relevant metabolic enzymes during fruit maturation. We also measured the content and proportions of various sugars and calcium forms, performing correlation analyses. Throughout the development and ripening of Cerasus humilis fruits, organic acids, sugars, and calcium exhibited consistent patterns of change across the two acidity types. Malic acid emerged as the most significant organic acid, while fructose was the primary sugar, and active calcium was the dominant calcium component. Correlation analyses indicated that malic acid and total acid positively correlated with sugar and water−soluble calcium content, negatively regulating other calcium forms. Conversely, NADP−ME, citric acid, and oxalic acid negatively correlated with sugars and water−soluble calcium, while positively affecting other calcium forms. In conclusion, the metabolism of organic acids during the development and maturation of Cerasus humilis fruits is closely linked to the accumulation of sugars and calcium. Malic acid, primarily regulated by NAD−MDH and NADP−ME, promotes the accumulation of sugars and water−soluble calcium but inhibits other calcium forms, while citric and oxalic acids inhibit sugar accumulation and promote non−water−soluble calcium forms. Background: The uncertainty regarding the correlation between the weight-adjusted waist index (WWI) and diabetes within the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) necessitates further exploration. As indicators of obesity, the differences in the intensity of association between WWI, body mass index (BMI), and waist circumference (WC) with diabetes are worth exploring. This investigation is undertaken to elucidate the association between WWI and diabetes in the NHANES dataset and to compare the extent to which BMI, WC, and WWI were closely associated with diabetes. Then, choose an obesity index that is more strongly associated with diabetes. Methods: A comprehensive cross-sectional stratified survey of 7,973 participants from the 2017–2020 NHANES was conducted. WWI is an anthropometric measure based on WC and weight. The formula is WWI (cm/√kg) = WC/√weight. The association between WWI and diabetes was investigated using weighted multiple logistic regression, smooth curve fitting, stratified analysis, and interaction testing. Results: The participants' average age was 50.84±17.34 years, and 50.68% of them were female. The detection rate of diabetes was 15.11%. This positive association was particularly notable among non-diabetic patients. For each unit increase in BMI and WC as continuous variables, the likelihood of developing diabetes in the fully adjusted model increased by 5% (OR = 1.05; 95%CI, 1.03–1.07) and 3% (OR = 1.03; 95%CI, 1.02–1.04), respectively, but for each one-unit increase in WWI, the likelihood of developing diabetes increased by 111% (OR = 2.11; 95% CI, 1.68–2.65). Tests of interactions revealed that in various subgroups, the association between diabetes and WWI remained steady. Conclusions: We analyzed 2017–2020 NHANES data to explore the link between WWI and diabetes, finding a consistent positive correlation. BACKGROUND: Developmental dislocation of the hip (DDH) is a common congenital deformity of the skeletal system in children. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy of post-surgery cluster nursing in children with DDH. METHODS: A total of 60 children with DDH who underwent hip joint orthopedic surgery in our hospital from September 2021 to September 2022 were enrolled as the research participants in this prospective study, and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the numerical table method, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was given routine pain care, and the observation group was given cluster pain care. The hip joint function scores, pain scores, self-rating anxiety score (SAS) were compared between the two groups and between before intervention and after intervention in the two groups. RESULTS: The pain score of the children and the SAS of the primary caregivers after the intervention in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05), and the hip joint function score and family satisfaction degree were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Family-based cluster pain care can reduce pain in children with DDH after surgery, promote hip joint functional recovery, reduce the negative emotions of caregivers, and improve family satisfaction, and has clinical popularization value. Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent mode of programmed cell death characterized by Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) accumulation lipid peroxidation and glutathione depletion. It is a novel form of cell death different from apoptosis and necrosis. Because of its unique mode of cell death, it has attracted a large number of research reports from the oncology community. Changes in iron ions and accumulation of lipid peroxides have confirmed the correlation between ferroptosis and tumors, and thus ferroptosis can be considered to have a great oncological therapeutic potential. This paper brings to light the significance of metabolic pathways and key genes like System Xc-/Glutathione Peroxidase 4 (GPX4), Membrane-bound O-acyltransferases 1 (MBOAT1) and Membrane-bound O-acyltransferases 2 (MBOAT2) in modulating ferroptosis in cancer cells. The susceptibility of cancer cells to ferroptosis, influenced by their high levels of reactive oxygen species and specific mutation profiles, is analyzed, suggesting new avenues for enhancing the effectiveness of established cancer treatments. In this review, we address the current understanding of ferroptosis induction and ferroptosis defense mechanisms, briefly describe the role and mechanisms of ferroptosis in tumor suppression, and discuss therapeutic strategies for targeting ferroptosis caused by tumors.
