Abstract

This research introduces a new variant of the two-echelon vehicle routing problem (2EVRP) called the two-echelon vehicle routing problem with transshipment nodes and occasional drivers (2EVRP-TN-OD). In addition to city freighters in the second-echelon network, a set of occasional drivers (ODs) is available to serve customers. ODs are the basis of a crowd-shipping system in which crowds with planned trips are willing to take detours to deliver packages in exchange for some compensation. To serve customers, ODs collect the assigned packages at either satellite served by first-echelon trucks or transshipment nodes served by city freighters. We formulate this problem as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming model and develop an adaptive large neighborhood search (ALNS) to solve it. New problem-specific destroy and repair operators and a tailored local search procedure are embedded into ALNS to deal with the problem's unique characteristics. The experiments show that the proposed ALNS effectively solves 2EVRP-TN-OD by outperforming Gurobi in terms of both solution quality and computational time. Moreover, the experiments confirm that employing occasional drivers leads to lower operational costs. Abstract

Electric vehicles (EVs) have gained considerable popularity, driven in part by an increased concern for the impact of automobile emissions on climate change. Electric vehicles (EVs) cover more than just conventional cars and trucks. They also include electric motorcycles, such as those produced by Gogoro, which serve as the primary mode of transportation for food and package delivery services in Taiwan. Consequently, the Electric Vehicle Routing Problem (EVRP) has emerged as an important variation of the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP). In addition to the CVRP's constraints, the EVRP requires vehicles to visit a charging station before the battery level is insufficient to continue service. EV battery consumption is linearly correlated to their weight. These additional constraints make the EVRP more challenging than the conventional CVRP. This study proposes an improved Harmony Search Algorithm (HSA), with performance validated by testing 24 available benchmark instances in the EVRP. This study also proposes a novel update mechanism in the improvement stage and a strategy to improve the routes with charging stations. The results show that in small and large instances, the proposed HSA improved the number of trips to the charging stations by 24% and 4.5%, respectively. Abstract

The company upon which this paper is based engages in flexible packaging production, especially pharmaceutical products with guaranteed quality, trusted by consumers. Its production process includes printing, laminating, and assembling processes. Production activities are done manually and automatically using machines, so various types of waste are often found in these processes, making the level of plant efficiency nonoptimal. This study aims to identify wastes occurring in the production process, especially the production of pollycelonium with three colour variants as the highest demand product, by applying lean manufacturing concepts. The Current Value Stream Mapping (CVSM) used to map the production process shows the amount of Value Added Time of 107.676 minutes, Non-Value Added Time of 311.450 minutes due to engine displacement and setup, and total lead time of 455.724 minutes with a 23.627% Cycle Efficiency. Transportation in the factory creates the largest waste with a distance of 340 meters. Further analysis using the fault tree analysis method and 5W+1H method results in a layout proposal and minimization of machine setup time activity projected with Future Value Stream Mapping (FVSM) to increase to percentage cycle efficiency 14.05% and decreasing process lead time of 169.939 minutes. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to monitor the sentiments of a brand and classify it into positive, negative or neutral sentiments. The steps of research have started from collecting data, indexing, searching and weighting process. Data are collected by crawling data from social media, such as Facebook and Twitter. After collecting data, then weighting process is done with a fuzzy logic method, where the fuzzy set is determined based on the highest number of positive and negative words in a sentence. Weighting process is calculated from TF (Term Frequency) which is the number of words that sought in the document. From the results, TF can be used to find the fuzzy set value and the number of positive or negative sentiments in a document. Mamdani method used to calculate the value of the final sentiment. From the calculation results, it can be shown that the average of sentiment analysis is 63.15%. Keywords: Information, Sentiment analysis, brand, fuzzy logic, social media.
