A figura do Psicólogo Escolar parece estar surgindo com maior intensidade no cenário educacional brasileiro. Observa-se um aumento na procura desse profissional, pelas diferentes Instituições escolares, bem como movimentos de sindicatos e conselhos no sentido de coordenar discussões a respeito do papel a ser executado por este profissional e atuações junto a redes de ensino municipais e estaduais que estão levando à contratação desse profissional. Frente a esse fato torna-se interessante investigar até que ponto esse novo cargo entra em conflito com os já existentes, principalmente o Orientador Educacional. Realmente, embora teoricamente as atribuições de cada profissional estejam definidas, na prática tem-se observado uma confusão de papéis devido a uma dificuldade de delimitação do campo de atuação de cada um deles. Assim sendo, o objetivo desse trabalho foi constatar até que ponto essa dificuldade existe, e se gera conflito ou cooperação em termos de realização do trabalho. Para tanto, foi feito inicialmente um levantamento das escolas estaduais, municipais e particulares registradas na Delegada Regional de Ensino de Ribeirão Preto, nas quais havia um desses profissionais. A partir desse levantamento foram visitadas escolas onde existia um ou mais destes profissionais. Em cada uma das escolas visitadas foram realizadas entrevistas e os dados obtidos foram trabalhados em termos de conteúdo das entrevistas, analisando-se os seguintes pontos: formação profissional, colocando em evidência a relação dessa formação com a atuação hoje e os problemas dessa atuação; dificuldades apontadas com relação à atuação e limitações percebidas; expectativas do trabalho profissional existente na situação em relação ao outro profissional não existente; o interesse entre os profissionais nas situações em que o trabalho é conjunto.

Precision edge preparation techniques for cemented carbides enable optimization of the geometry of tools’ cutting edges. These techniques are frequently used in high-stress environments, resulting in substantial improvements in tools’ cutting performance. This investigation examined the impact and evolution of cutting edge parameters and resulting surface finishes as a function of dry-electropolishing time on an end-mill. Findings demonstrate enlargement of the cutting edge radius, a decrease in surface roughness, and the mitigation of defects induced during previous manufacturing stages (i.e., smashed ceramic particles, burrs, chipping, etc.). Additionally, a direct correlation between dry-electropolishing time and primary cutting edges’ micro-geometry parameters has been established.

Investigation of four different surface-shaping and finishing sequences is carried out on the surface integrity of a WC-10Co hardmetal grade. The surface conditions include grinding, electrical discharge machining and grinding, followed by mechanical and dry-electrochemical polishing using the DryLyte® technology. The evaluation includes the measurement of roughness, residual stresses, the Vickers hardness, indentation fracture toughness determination and the damage induced by conical contact response. By scanning electron microscopy, a systematic and detailed examination of the residual imprints is carried out to determine the critical loads for damage initiation and development across the different surface conditions. The results indicate that the use of dry-electrochemical polishing enables the attainment of polished surfaces without any corrosive damage to the metallic binder. Moreover, it retains the mechanical attributes reminiscent of the core material, comprising 85% that were initially induced via grinding.

Abstract Background The decapods are a major group of crustaceans that includes shrimps, prawns, crayfishes, lobsters, and crabs. Several studies focused on the study of the digestive system of the decapods, constituted by the oesophagus, stomach, midgut tract, midgut gland, and hindgut. Nevertheless, in the midgut tract there are associated a set of organs called “midgut caeca”, which are among the most controversial and less studied digestive organs of this group. This work used the common spider crab Maja brachydactyla Balss, 1922 as a model to resolve the origin, development, and potential role of the midgut caeca. Such organs were studied in the larvae (zoea I, zoea II, megalopa), first juveniles, and adult phases, being employed traditional and modern techniques: dissection, micro-computed tomography (Micro-CT), and light and electron microscopical analyses (TEM and SEM). Results The common spider crab has a pair of anterior midgut caeca and a single posterior caecum that originate from the endoderm germ layer: they develop from the midgut tract, and their epithelium is composed by secretory cells while lacking a cuticle lining. The midgut caeca are small buds in the newly hatched larvae, enlarge linearly during the larval development, and then continue growing until became elongated and coiled blind-tubules in adults. The adult midgut caeca are internally folded to increase their inner surface. The electron microscopy observations showed that the midgut caeca are highly active organs with important macroapocrine and microapocrine secretory activity. Our results suggest that the role of the caeca might be related to the digestive enzyme secretion. The secretory activity should increase as the animal grows in size. Conclusion The present study resolves the embryonic origin of the midgut caeca (endoderm derived organs), development (general lengthening starting from small buds), and role (active secretory organs). The secretory activity of the midgut caeca should be incorporated in the current models of the digestive physiology in different decapod taxa.

The growing process of a spinel-like oxide film can be obtained through different atmospheres; in this sense Air, O2, steam, and nitrogen atmospheres were used in different steps during the aging heat treatment at 490ºC of maraging 300 and 350 alloys. The oxidation layer produced under different atmospheres was chemically, microstructurally and mechanically characterized by means of advanced techniques. The results showed (in both alloys) a non-homogeneous mix oxide formed by magnetite, nickel and cobalt ferrites and MoO3 heterogeneously distributed along the oxide thickness. It was also founded TiO2 in the innermost areas and a particularly important quantify of hematite on the external surface. A nickel-rich austenite phase was produced at the interphase due to the combination of nickel stability and the preference of cobalt, molybdenum, and iron diffuses through the film as ions. The highest thickness values were found in the oxides produced in maraging 300 steels which could indicate greater susceptibility to oxidation comparing with grade 350 maraging steel. The oxide films produced in both maraging alloys using air atmosphere presents excellent adherence, and the results show the capability for being used for tribological applications under sliding contact tests.

In recent years, women are acting all over the world against gender violence and femicide. This new wave of feminist claims is characterized by the intensive use of social media to spread consciousness and amplify influence. For this research, we analyse three femitags (i.e., feminist hashtags) from Twitter that have been relevant in different crucial mobilizations in Argentina, Spain, and Mexico. These are three hashtags with different functions for activism that have shown special relevance due to their continuity or their intensity in the Spanish-speaking area between 2015 and 2020 (before the confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic). #NiUnaMenos (#NotASingleWomanLess) started in Argentina in 2015 and called to massive mobilizations on the streets. #Cuéntalo (#TellIt) was initiated in Spain in 2018 for sexual abuse disclosure. #NiUnaMas (#NotASingleWomanMore) trended in México around 2020 to denounce every new victim of rape or femicide. We analyse how those hashtags have spread in the Spanish-speaking region, what kind of social actors have been involved and what has been the role of opinion leaders. All data were collected with academic access to the Twitter API during December 2021. We have found that the most influential actors in the conversation are contingent and circumstantial, the leadership structure tends towards horizontality, and opinion leaders with large numbers of followers are only important in very specific moments. In all cases, femitags serve as a toolbox for action and build up an archive of grievances with a transnational dimension. Furthermore, all of them point out that structural violence against women leads to feminicide.11 Feminicidie distinguishes any murder of women and girls (femicide), from hate crimes as the culmination of gender violence, and impunity (Lagarde, 2005).

Este artículo analiza el ciclo de protestas de las multitudes conectadas feministas mexicanas entre marzo de 2019 a marzo de 2020. Este periodo marcado por una creciente conflictividad transgresora inicia con la intensa campaña del #MeToo entre marzo y abril de 2019 y culmina con la marcha del 8 de marzo de 2020 y el Paro de Mujeres. El movimiento feminista se radicaliza con la aparición de repertorios de acción directa y se convierte en un actor colectivo de gran relevancia en el país, con un poder disruptivo en los gremios profesionales, en los centros de estudio y en la política institucional, estableciendo estrategias y sinergias con actores nuevos, inesperados y enormemente diversos. Para una aproximación descriptiva de este ciclo como estudio de caso, se aplica la triangulación entre métodos cualitativos y etnográficos con el análisis de redes sociales.

Aß are extracellular deposits relevant in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). This study shows that Aß plaques are hubs of endothelial disassembly that induce non-productive angiogenesis. This process is aided by the microglia and unchained by reduced presenilin function, a trait of AD, in endothelial cells.

Loss-of-function (LOF) mutations in GRN gene, which encodes progranulin (PGRN), cause frontotemporal lobar degeneration with TDP-43 inclusions (FTLD-TDP). FTLD-TDP is one of the most common forms of early onset dementia, but its pathogenesis is not fully understood. Mitochondrial dysfunction has been associated with several neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Here, we have investigated whether mitochondrial alterations could also contribute to the pathogenesis of PGRN deficiency-associated FTLD-TDP. Our results showed that PGRN deficiency induced mitochondrial depolarization, increased ROS production and lowered ATP levels in GRN KD SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells. Interestingly, lymphoblasts from FTLD-TDP patients carrying a LOF mutation in the GRN gene (c.709-1G > A) also demonstrated mitochondrial depolarization and lower ATP levels. Such mitochondrial damage increased mitochondrial fission to remove dysfunctional mitochondria by mitophagy. Interestingly, PGRN-deficient cells showed elevated mitochondrial mass together with autophagy dysfunction, implying that PGRN deficiency induced the accumulation of damaged mitochondria by blocking its degradation in the lysosomes. Importantly, the treatment with two brain-penetrant CK-1δ inhibitors (IGS-2.7 and IGS-3.27), known for preventing the phosphorylation and cytosolic accumulation of TDP-43, rescued mitochondrial function in PGRN-deficient cells. Taken together, these results suggest that mitochondrial function is impaired in FTLD-TDP associated with LOF GRN mutations and that the TDP-43 pathology linked to PGRN deficiency might be a key mechanism contributing to such mitochondrial dysfunction. Furthermore, our results point to the use of drugs targeting TDP-43 pathology as a promising therapeutic strategy for restoring mitochondrial function in FTLD-TDP and other TDP-43-related diseases.

Methods to induce analgesia and anesthesia for research purposes, handling, transport, or stunning have been used in 71 species of crustaceans. A non-systematic literature search was conducted on crustacean anesthetic methods. This review presents a comprehensive evaluation of drugs and non-chemical methods used to provide analgesia and anesthesia in many crustacean species rather than just decapod crustaceans. This information allows users to select an appropriate method or agent for their species of interest. We prepared an on-line tool based on datasette, a no-code open-source solution for simple web-based database frontends that allows exploration and downloading data by method, analgesic/anesthetic, species, life stage, or sex, as well as other data including environmental conditions (temperature, salinity, light), route of administration, dosage, and induction and recovery times. These values can be selected to filter the dataset and export it to CSV or JSON formats. Currently, several techniques and chemicals are, in our opinion, unsuitable for use as anesthetics in crustaceans, and the basis for these opinions are presented. Given the evidence of a pain-like experience in crustaceans, we propose that researchers should treat crustaceans humanely, applying the principles of good handling, care, and the management of stress and pain to safeguard their welfare.

Decapod crustaceans are a diverse group englobing several species of commercial and ecological interest. In the Mediterranean Sea, decapod crustacean fisheries are among the most profitable, although in many cases their early life stages are poorly known. In this study, we tackle the composition and diversity patterns of the decapod larval communities along the eastern Spanish Mediterranean coast. Zooplankton sampling was carried out in surface waters at 101 stations from July 20th to August 31st 2016, over bottom depths between 90 and 1840 m. All shrimp larvae were identified to the lowest possible taxonomical level, and larvae from Anomura, Achelata and Brachyura were left at infraorder level. No larvae of Astacidea or Polychelida were found. The total zooplankton volume was estimated. A total of 20,022 decapod crustacean larvae were identified, focusing on shrimp taxa (suborder Dendrobranchiata and infraorder Caridea). Both zooplankton volume and decapod larval density values were higher in the northern part of the studied area, cut by deep submarine canyons. After assessing the diversity parameters of the decapod larval community, we present the summer mesoscale larval distribution of several species of commercial interest such as the caramote prawn (Penaeus kerathurus) or the deep-water rose shrimp (Parapenaeus longirostris). The northern submarine canyons are dominated by the presence of Penaeoidea, being the deep-sea shrimp Aristeus antennatus the dominant species in the community in this area, while the Sergestoidea are more abundant in the southern zone. This is the largest-scale study on decapod larvae mesoscale distribution in the Mediterranean Sea.

Decapod crustacean fisheries play a crucial role on the northwestern Mediterranean coast due to their high commercial value. Although knowledge of larval ecology and recruitment dynamics of these species is essential to establish a sustainable fisheries management, they are still poorly known. In this paper, we describe the composition, abundance and distribution of decapod crustacean larvae in the submarine canyon off Blanes (northwestern Mediterranean Sea) during summer thermal stratification conditions. Samples were collected in September 2011 with a multi-net system and a 60-cm bongo net at 22 stations with bottom depths of between 100 and 1800 m. A total of 635 larvae from 60 genera were identified. The most relevant taxa were Aristeus antennatus (7.93 individuals/1000 m3), the family Sergestidae (7.24) and Alpheus glaber (6.78). These three taxa were dominant ( > 20% of total decapod larvae) at more than half of the stations. Decapod larval communities were found to be richer and more diverse at the canyon head, a finding which could be explained by the higher retention rates when compared with the upstream and downstream walls and the canyon axis.

Uno de los primeros ejemplos de apropiación y uso de las tecnologías digitales para la acción colectiva fue el surgimiento espontáneo de una red transnacional de solidaridad con el Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional de México a mediados de los noventa. Unos años después, el movimiento altermundista tejió un poder de convocatoria global y marcó un cambio de época en la comunicación alternativa con los Indymedia y la emergencia generalizada del periodismo ciudadano. A partir de 2011 aparece una nueva fase de acción comunicativa: las multitudes conectadas que se manifiestan de forma intensiva en las redes sociales digitales y que toman las calles de distintas ciudades del mundo. Con todo este proceso ha emergido una cibercultura crítica global que ha transformado el activismo y que tiene que ver con la idea de red y con la creación de espacios de encuentro tanto in situ como on line, conectando lo local con los flujos globales de la indignación. Explorar los distintos momentos de esta relación entre comunicación y movilización en los últimos 20 años es el propósito de este artículo.

Boreal forests are warming faster than the rest of the planet. Do the benefits of higher temperatures and longer growing seasons for forest productivity exceed the negative effects of more frequent dry spells and heat waves, shifting precipitation patterns, and higher evaporative demands? And are the effects uniformly distributed geographically? To answer to these questions, the relationship between climatic variables and NDVI—a proxy of forest productivity at regional scale—was explored via Partial Least Square (PLS) regression analyses. We focused on Northern Europe, where contrasting findings on the effects of warming have been reported and that has so far been overlooked by systematic large-scale explorations of the linkages between boreal forest productivity and climatic conditions. The results show that the effects of warmer temperatures on boreal forest productivity are not uniformly positive and that water stress is already negatively affecting these forests. Indeed, increased temperatures appear beneficial in northern and wetter regions, while warmer temperatures mostly reduce forest productivity in southern and drier areas. These results are suggestive of already existing limitations due to water availability and warm temperatures, even in mesic regions like Northern Europe. These conditions are expected to become more frequent and intense in the future, potentially reducing the ability of boreal forests to provide their essential ecosystem services unless forest management practices are adapted to the new conditions.

Information on the buoyancy of eggs and larvae from deep-sea species is rare but necessary for explaining the position of non-swimming larvae in the water column. Due to embryonic morphology and ecology diversities, egg buoyancy has important variations within one species and among other ones. Nevertheless, it has hardly been explored if this buoyancy variability can be a strategy for deep-sea larvae to optimize their transport beyond their spawning areas. In the northwestern Mediterranean Sea, protozoea and mysis larvae of the commercial deep-sea shrimp Aristeus antennatus were recently found in upper layers, but to present, earlier stages like eggs and nauplii have not been collected. Using a Lagrangian transport model and larval characteristics, we evaluate the buoyancy and hydrodynamic effects on the transport of A. antennatus' larvae in the northwestern Mediterranean Sea. The transport models suggested that 75% of buoyant eggs released between 500 and 800 m depth (i.e., known spawning area), reached the upper water layers (0-75 m depth). Then, according to the modeled larval drifts, three spawning regions were defined in the studied area: 1) the northern part, along a continental margin crossed by large submarine canyons; 2) the central part, with two circular circulation structures (i.e., eddies); and 3) the southern part, with currents flowing through a channel. The number of larvae in the most upper layer (0-5 m depth) was higher if the larval transport model accounted for the ascent of eggs and nauplii (81%) instead of eggs reaching the surface before hatching (50%). The larvae reaching the most water upper layer (0-5 m depth) had higher rates of dispersal than the ones transported below the surface layer (deeper than 5 m depth). The results of larval dispersal simulations have implications for the understanding of A. antennatus larval ecology and for management decisions related to the shrimp fisheries in the northwestern Mediterranean Sea.

Objetivo: avaliar a estrutura e o processo do acolhimento com classificação de risco em uma unidade de emergência de acordo com as recomendações do Ministério da Saúde. Método: estudo descritivo e exploratório, realizado em uma unidade de emergência da Bahia. As técnicas de investigação foram a observação sistemática e a entrevista com enfermeiros. Para a análise foram feitas comparações e confrontações das avaliações das dimensões qualitativas de estrutura e processo. Resultados: os recursos disponíveis para o funcionamento da classificação de risco, quanto à estrutura física, recursos materiais e ao fluxo de atendimento contemplavam parcialmente o que é preconizado. Existiam lacunas, como sinalização dos espaços, ausência de alguns materiais na sala da classificação de risco, o não cumprimento do tempo de espera e ausência formal da referência/contrarreferência. Conclusão: a estrutura e o processo do acolhimento com classificação de risco em uma unidade de emergência precisavam de adequação do espaço físico e do suprimento total de recursos para cumprir o que é proposto pelo Ministério da Saúde. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo socializar los resultados de la investigación sobre el uso de los biofertilizantes Ecomic y Rhizobiumphaseoli, realizada por estudiantes de la carrera Agronomía y profesores de la disciplina Ciencia del Suelo de la Facultad Agroforestal, Universidad de Guantánamo, en zonas llanas del municipio San Antonio del Sur dedicadas a la producción de granos. Con esta investigación se logró incrementar los rendimientos por unidad de superficie, beneficios para los cultivos asociados y una mayor protección del medio ambiente.

Abstract Background The Norway lobster, Nephrops norvegicus, is economically important in European fisheries and is a key organism in local marine ecosystems. Despite multi-faceted scientific interest in this species, our current knowledge of genetic resources in this species remains very limited. Here, we generated a reference de novo transcriptome for N. norvegicus from multiple tissues in both sexes. Bioinformatic analyses were conducted to detect transcripts that were expressed exclusively in either males or females. Patterns were validated via RT-PCR. Results Sixteen N. norvegicus libraries were sequenced from immature and mature ovary, testis and vas deferens (including the masculinizing androgenic gland). In addition, eyestalk, brain, thoracic ganglia and hepatopancreas tissues were screened in males and both immature and mature females. RNA-Sequencing resulted in >600 million reads. De novo assembly that combined the current dataset with two previously published libraries from eyestalk tissue, yielded a reference transcriptome of 333,225 transcripts with an average size of 708 base pairs (bp), with an N50 of 1272 bp. Sex-specific transcripts were detected primarily in gonads followed by hepatopancreas, brain, thoracic ganglia, and eyestalk, respectively. Candidate transcripts that were expressed exclusively either in males or females were highlighted and the 10 most abundant ones were validated via RT-PCR. Among the most highly expressed genes were Serine threonine protein kinase in testis and Vitellogenin in female hepatopancreas. These results align closely with gene annotation results. Moreover, a differential expression heatmap showed that the majority of differentially expressed transcripts were identified in gonad and eyestalk tissues. Results indicate that sex-specific gene expression patterns in Norway lobster are controlled by differences in gene regulation pattern between males and females in somatic tissues. Conclusions The current study presents the first multi-tissue reference transcriptome for the Norway lobster that can be applied to future biological, wild restocking and fisheries studies. Sex-specific markers were mainly expressed in males implying that males may experience stronger selection than females. It is apparent that differential expression is due to sex-specific gene regulatory pathways that are present in somatic tissues and not from effects of genes located on heterogametic sex chromosomes. The N. norvegicus data provide a foundation for future gene-based reproductive studies.

The early life stages of the blue and red shrimp Aristeus antennatus (Decapoda: Dendrobranchiata: Penaeoidea: Aristeidae) were described by Heldt in 1955 based on plankton samples, larval rearing and assumptions of species habitat. Even with adequate keys, identification of its first larval stages remained a difficult task due to the lack of specific morphological characters which would differentiate them from other Penaeoidea species. Larvae of Aristeus antennatus were collected in the continental slope off the Spanish Mediterranean coast in August 2016 with a neuston net and preserved in ethanol 96%. DNA from the larvae was extracted and the molecular markers Cytochrome Oxidase I and 16S rDNA were sequenced and compared to that of adults with the objective of confirming the previous morphological description. Then, we present additional information to the morphological description of Aristeus antennatus larval stages through scanning electron microscopy and molecular analysis. This represents the first documented occurrence of Aristeus antennatus larvae off the Catalan coast and sets the grounds for further work on larval ecology and population connectivity of the species, which is an important contribution to a more sustainable fishery.

This article focuses on a systematic study of a Ti-6Al-4V alloy in order to extensively characterize the main mechanical properties at the macro-, micro- and submicrometric length scale under different stress fields. Hardness, elastic modulus, true stress–strain curves and strain-hardening exponent are correlated with the intrinsic properties of the α- and β-phases that constitute this alloy. A systematic characterization process followed, considering the anisotropic effect on both orthogonal crystallographic directions, as well as determining the intrinsic properties for the α-phase. An analytical relationship was established between the flow stress determined under different stress fields, testing geometries and length scales, highlighting that it is possible to estimate flow stress under compression and/or tensile loading from the composite hardness value obtained by instrumented nanoindentation testing.

Differences in the resource use patterns of males and females of the spider crab species Maja brachydactyla Balss, 1922 and M. squinado (Herbst, 1788) from several geographic areas (three in the Atlantic and two in the Mediterranean) were studied through the analysis of stable isotopes of carbon and nitrogen in the exoskeleton of post-pubertal (adult) specimens. Results confirmed that males and females from the same population usually did not differ in δ15N values and hence foraged at the same trophic level. In contrast, females were usually enriched in 13C as compared with males from the same population, thus suggesting that females use shallower habitats than males before the terminal moult. The results reported here also indicate that stable isotop.

Desde el ciclo de las multitudes conectadas que arranca en 2011 con la Primavera Árabe o el 15M en el estado español, el #YoSoy132 en México en 2012 o #NuitDebout en Paris en 2016, las manifestaciones en las plazas alumbraron un devenir feminista de la acción colectiva que es simultánemante in situ y online (es decir, “onlife”). Los programas, la pertenencia identitaria, la adscripción a organizaciones y las figuras de liderazgo masculino han estado menos presentes que nun ca en estas protestas que con todas sus variantes comparten la exigencia democrática de tomar las riendas de la vida común. En el mismo sentido, aparecen nuevas politizaciones feministas que rompen los límites de las militancias, con llamados a la acción que no reconocen autoridad y que se expanden como constelaciones performativas. En 2016 y 2017, la ola de movilización global más relevante es precisamente esta andanada de nuevos feminismos transnacionales que irrumpen en las calles y en las redes poniendo la vulnerabilidad del cuerpo como base de la política, denunciando las violencias, y autoconvocándose a través de hashtags como la #PrimaveraVioleta en México en 2016, lemas como Ni Una Menos en 2017 o la Huelga de Mujeres en 2017 y 2018. Analizar las caracterísiticas de esta “feministización” de la política contenciosa es el objetivo de este artículo.
