Taking Guangxi as a case study, this study explored the spatial and temporal evolutionary characteristics of the spatial network structure of tourism economic linkages in Guangxi from 2010-2019 by applying the modified gravity model, social network analysis method, Ucinet software and ArcGIS. The study shows that (1) from 2010 to 2019, the tourism economic linkage degree of various cities in Guangxi was increasing year by year and became closely connected, but the overall regional network structure remained noticeably imbalanced; (2) there are differences in the centrality of the network of various cities in the region, and Nanning-Yulin-Guilin-Liuzhou has become the main linkage channel for the development of tourism economy in Guangxi; (3) there is an obvious core-edge zone stratification in Guangxi, and the density value of tourism economic linkage in the core zone increases year by year, while the improvement in the edge-edge area is relatively small; (4) the spatial distribution of the four cohesive subgroups of tourism economic linkage in Guangxi has deteriorated, owing to the imbalance of the spatial distribution within the subgroups which lead to the poor stability of the overall tourism economic structure. Based on this, a synergistic development model of "tourism core cities - tourism city clusters - tourism economic belt" is proposed to support the high-quality development of tourism in Guangxi. Background: Pyrethroid chemicals are one of the main acaricides used against ticks. Resistance to these chemicals has been reported to be associated with mutations in the voltage-gated sodium channel (VGSC) gene of the Rhipicephalus microplus. This study investigates R. microplus resistance to pyrethroids in Guangxi region of China, marking one of the first research efforts in this area. The findings are intended to provide vital baseline for the effective implementation of localized tick control strategies. Methods: From March to July 2021, 447 R. microplus tick samples were collected from five prefecture-level cities in Guangxi. Allele-specific polymerase chain reaction (AS-PCR) was used to amplify segments C190A and G215T of the domain II S4-5 linker and T2134A of domain III S6 in the VGSC, to detect nucleotide mutations associated with resistance to pyrethroid acaricides. Subsequent analyses were conducted to ascertain the prevalence, types of mutations, and genotypic distributions within the sampled populations. Results: Mutations within VGSC gene were identified across all five studied populations of R. microplus, although the mutation rates remained generally low. Specifically, the most prevalent mutation was C190A, observed in 4.9% of the samples (22/447), followed by G215T at 4.0% (18/447), and T2134A at 1.3% (6/447). The distribution of mutations across three critical sites of the VGSC gene revealed four distinct mutation types: C190A, G215T, C190A + G215T, and T2134A. Notably, the single mutation C190A had the highest mutation frequency, accounting for 4.3%, and the C190A + G215T combination had the lowest, at only 0.7%. The analysis further identified seven genotypic combinations, with the wild-type combination C/C + G/G + T/T predominating at a frequency of 90.4%. Subsequently, the C/A + G/G + T/T combination was observed at a frequency of 4.3%, whereas the C/C + T/T + T/T combination exhibited the lowest frequency (0.2%). Additionally, no instances of simultaneous mutations at all three sites were detected. Geographical differences in mutation types were apparent. Both samples from Hechi to Chongzuo cities exhibited the same three mutation types; however, C190A was the most prevalent in Hechi, while G215T dominated in Chongzuo. In contrast, samples from Beihai to Guilin each exhibited only one mutation type: G215T occurred in 12.5% (4/32) of Beihai samples, and C190A in 7.5% (4/53) of Guilin samples. Conclusions: These findings underscore the relatively low frequency of VGSC gene mutations in R. microplus associated with pyrethroid resistance in the Guangxi, China. Moreover, the variation in mutation types and genotypic distributions across different locales highlights the need for regionalized strategies in monitoring and managing pyrethroid resistance in tick populations. Background: Adherence to healthy lifestyle habits has become a mainstream approach for lessening the burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) during initial prevention efforts. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of four healthy lifestyle habits, the associated factors, and their impact on all-cause and cardiovascular mortality among residents of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Methods: From 2015 to 2019, individuals between the ages of 35 and 75 from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were recruited through the ChinaHeart Million Person Project. Our study examined four healthy lifestyle habits: not smoking, no or moderate amounts of alcohol, sufficient leisure time physical activity (LTPA) and a balanced diet. Results: Out of the 19,969 individuals involved, the majority, 77.3% did not smoke, while 96.7% had limited alcohol intake, 24.5% engaged in sufficient LTPA, 5.5% followed a balanced diet, and merely 1.7% adhered to all four healthy lifestyle habits. Participants who were women, older, nonfarmers, living in cities, with a high income or level of education, or had hypertension or diabetes were more likely to follow all four healthy lifestyle habits (p < 0.001). People who followed the three healthy lifestyle habits had reduced chances of death from all cause (HR 0.34[95% CI:0.15,0.76]) and cardiovascular-related death (HR 0.23 [95% CI: 0.07, 0.68]) (p < 0.01) over a median period of 3.5 years. Conclusions: In Guangxi Province, the level of adherence to healthy lifestyle habits is very minimal. Therefore, population-specific health promotion strategies are urgently needed. Ophiorrhiza paralatiflora, a new species of Rubiaceae from limestone areas of Guangxi, China, is described and illustrated. The new species is morphologically similar to O. alatiflora, but differs from the latter by having an inflorescence that is erect from the youngest developmental stage (versus initially drooping then gradually erect), subulate bract (versus linear or linear‐lanceolate) absent or shorter than 3 mm (versus obvious, 5–15 mm long). It also resembles O. cantonensis, but can be distinguished from the latter by the same characters as from O. alatiflora, plus by having a corolla tube with ca 1 mm (versus 0.3 mm) wide wings outside along its entire length (versus from near apex to the middle part). Based on the panel data of Guangxi from 2005 to 2017, the spatiotemporal characteristics and determinants of urban carbon emissions in Guangxi were analyzed using the extended STIRPAT model and the Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression (GTWR) model. The main findings of our research can be summarized as follows. While the total carbon emissions of cities in Guangxi consistently increased from 2005 to 2014, the growth trend slowed after 2014, leading to a stabilization in the total emissions. In addition, there are significant differences in the total carbon emissions among the cities. The central and northeastern regions have higher emissions, while the southwestern region has lower emissions. Finally, there are variations in the degrees and directions of the impacts that factors have on carbon emissions among the different time periods and cities. Urban land use is a key factor driving carbon emissions, and it has a negative impact on most cities in Guangxi. Meanwhile, factors such as industrial structure, population urbanization, population concentration, and economic growth have significant positive effects on carbon emissions in Guangxi. The influence of urban roads on carbon emissions is generally positive, while the degree of openness to the outside world and environmental regulations has relatively weaker impacts on emissions. In summary, in order to promote the low-carbon transition of Guangxi and achieve high-quality development, the cities in Guangxi should implement differentiated urban carbon reduction strategies that are focused on optimizing urban land use and industrial structure. Abstract [Objective] The study aims to understand the distribution of the species of Schistochila in Guangxi, which not only adding new data for the study of bryophytes in Guangxi, but also adding data for the conservation of bryophyte diversity in China. [Methods] Through recent field surveys and examining specimens of Schistochila from Guangxi Herbarium (IBK), the species diversity was determined by morphological observation and literature review. [Results] Ten specimens of Schistochila from Guangxi were found, and three species of Schistochila in Guangxi were confirmed, namely Schistochila sciurea (Nees) Schiffn.,S. aligera (Nees & Blume) J.B. Jack & Steph., and S. blumei (Nees) Trevis. [Conclusion] Schistochilaceae and Schistochila are reported as new records to Guangxi at the levels of family and genus, respectively. S. sciurea is firstly reported to the bryoflora of China. Description of S. sciurea and diagnostic characters of S. aligera and S. blumei are provided based on the specimens. Each species is accompanied by vouchers, distribution information, and a color plate.

In order to grasp the spatiotemporal variation characteristics and driving mechanism of vegetation ecological quality in Guangxi, based on multi-source data such as meteorology, terrain, soil and remote sensing, and using the ecological quality index (EQI) as an evaluation indicator, linear trend analysis, correlation analysis and geographical detector method were used to analyze the spatiotemporal variation and driving mechanisms from 2000 to 2020. The results were as follows: (1) Since 2000, the vegetation EQI of Guangxi had significantly increased, and the regional vegetation ecology had improved significantly. The development of vegetation ecological quality had experienced stages of slow growth, rapid growth and significant improvement. In terms of space, the vegetation EQI in Guangxi showed a characteristic of high in four directions and low in the middle, with the high-value areas gradually expanding from the east to the west and north. (2) The influencing factors of spatiotemporal evolution of vegetation ecological quality in Guangxi were significantly different. The overall change of vegetation ecological quality at different altitudes showed a trend of ‘increase-decrease-stability-fluctuation’. The vegetation ecological quality in different soil types was high in loam soil and low in sandy soil. The ecological quality of forest and shrub-grass was high, and the ecological quality of farmland vegetation was low. There was a significant positive correlation between vegetation ecological quality and climate driving factors, which was affected by both temperature and precipitation. The area mainly driven by temperature (T) was the widest, followed by the area mainly driven by precipitation (P). The areas driven strongly (［T+P］+) and weakly (［T+P］-) by temperature and precipitation were smaller.(3) The driving force of changes in vegetation ecological quality change of Guangxi was affected by terrain, soil, vegetation, climate, natural disasters and human activities. The order of explanatory power of natural influencing factors was vegetation > terrain > soil > climate, in which the vegetation net primary productivity and vegetation coverage were the most important factors affecting the spatiotemporal variation of vegetation ecological quality. The effects of natural factors on vegetation ecological quality in Guangxi was interactive, showing a nonlinear enhancement and two-factor enhancement relationship, and the interaction between terrain and vegetation, soil and vegetation, and climate and vegetation were the most obvious. Natural disasters and human activities aggravated the impact of vegetation ecological quality change. Among them, meteorological disasters such as drought and low temperature damage inhibited the improvement of vegetation ecological quality, while human activities such as forestry ecological engineering promoted the improvement of vegetation ecological quality. The research results provide a scientific theoretical reference and technical support for making reasonable measures of vegetation ecological protection and restoration in Guangxi.

Tetraphyllum Griff. ex C. B. Clarke, a newly recorded genus of Gesneriaceae from Guangxi, China is reported. Tetraphyllum has only three species. The morphological description and the distinctive features to the species of Tetraphyllum are provided, and the detailed morphological description and photos of T. confertiflorum (Drake) B. L. Burtt are provided. The voucher specimens are preserved in the Herbarium of Guangxi Institute of Botany (IBK) and Shanghai Chenshan Herbarium (CSH).

[Objective] The present paper aimed to explore the pathogenicity and dominant physiological groups and physiological races of Magnaporthe oryzae in Guangxi, analyze avirulence genes, find out the composition and distribution of physiological races and avirulence genes, providing reference for resistance breeding and variety promotion. [Method] Pathogenicity of 128 M. oryzae single spore isolates from 4 rice growing regions of southern Guangxi (Guinan), central Guangxi (Guizhong), northern Guangxi (Guibei) and alpine region were deter- mined by artificial spraying inoculation on the 7 unified identification of varieties in China and 26 near-isogenic lines (NILs) that contained only one resistance gene. (Result) Among the 128 rice blast strains, the proportion of strong pathogenic strains was 60.16%. The 128 M. oryzae strains could be divided into 7 groups and 26 physiological races, and the dominant group was ZB with a frequency of 69.53%. Dominant physiological races were ZB13 and ZB,, whose frequencies were 25.00% and 14.84%. Virulence frequency of the tested isolates ranged from 28.12% to 100.00%. Among them, the virulence frequency of the isolates group to resistance genes Pik, Pikm, Pil and Pi9 was lower, with frequencies of 28. 12%, 28.91%, 35.94% and 37.50%, respectively. Avirulence genes corresponding to the tested resistance genes were detected in the collected rice blast fungi, and 15 avirulence genes were detected in the four regions. Avirulence genes Aur-Pia (1), Aur-Pia(2), Aur-Pii, Aur-Pik, Aur-Pib, Aur-Pit, Aur-Pish (2), Aur-Pi3(1), Aur-Pi5 (1), Aur-Pil2(t) and Avr-Pi19(t) occurred at a frequency less than 20.00%. Most of isolates contained 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 avirulence genes with combination frequency of 19.53%, 11.72%, 11.72%, 15.63% and 10. 16% in the tested strains. [Conclusion] Rice blast fungi in Guangxi from 2021 have strong pathogenicity. The dominant physiological group is ZB and dominant physiological races are ZB13 and ZB9. Avirulence genes Aur-Pia (1), Avr-Pia (2), Aur-Pii, Aur-Pik, Aur-Pib, Aur-Pit, Avr-Pish (2), Aur-Pi3 (1), Aur-Pi5(1), Aur-Pil2(t) and Aur-Pil9(t) occurr at low frequency, which suggests that resistance genes corresponding to the avirulence genes should not be suitable for applying rice breeding and variety distribution in Guangxi. This paper analyzes the overall characteristics and regional differences of land use efficiency and landscape pattern in all districts and counties of Guangxi in 2020 under the research framework of ESDA-GWR, and quantitatively studies the impact mechanism of patch shape characteristics and spatial distribution characteristics of cultivated land, rural residential land, and urban construction land on land use efficiency. The results show that land use efficiency of Guangxi is generally on a moderate level yet with significant regional differences, the efficiency of center areas within Prefecture level are generally higher relative to the surrounding areas. The Beibu Gulf Economic Zone shows a strong strength on socio-economic development with a high land use efficiency, while the Xijiang Economic Belt develops fast but with a low land use efficiency. Landscape metrics of different areas in Guangxi share a significant positive spatial correlation. The north and southwest part of Guangxi use their land resources in a more intensive way, while central and southeast part is in an extensive developing mode. Regular and contiguous arable land, economical and intensive rural residential land, and "One-Core-Multipart" urban construction land can significantly improve land use efficiency. Among them, the layout of urban construction land that reaches a larger scale and has a clear central urban area has a particularly significant positive impact on land use efficiency. Aster yaoshanensis sp. nov., a new species of the family Asteraceae is here described and illustrated. The species is presently known only from rock crevices of mountain valleys in Dayaoshan National Nature Reserve, Guangxi autonomous region, China. Phylogenetic analyses based on ITS sequences and complete plastome data have shown that this new species is a member of genus Aster with high support. Morphologically, it mostly resembles A. jishouensis, but it can be easily distinguished from the latter by bract indumentum (glabrous except margin ciliate vs. villous especially on veins abaxially, glabrous adaxially) and color (green vs. purple), shorter corolla (3.2-3.5 mm vs. 4.5-5.3 mm), bract stalk (obvious, ca.1.2 mm vs. sessile), and different distribution (Guangxi vs. Hunan). As one of China’s sunrise industries, tourism has always been the engine to promote the development of the national economy, and in 2018, the annual income of China’s tourism industry exceeded 5 trillion yuan unprecedentedly. In recent years, the traditional extensive production mode has inevitably brought about problems such as environmental pollution and public health threats, while helping the development of new urbanization, thus triggering a series of challenges in the environmental health system. The tourism industry, new urbanization, and environmental health system three cooperate and promote each other, the coordinated development between them for economic growth, new urbanization development, environmental protection, and public health play a vital role, in the post-epidemic era is a special period of historical opportunities, the public’s focus from the original sacrifice of environmental health in exchange for economic growth model began to green, low-carbon sustainable development mode, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as a tourism resource endowment rich region, It is of positive significance to explore the coupling degree and coordination between the tourism industry, new urbanization and environmental health system, and put forward targeted practical enlightenment, which is of positive significance for promoting the sustainable development of tourism industry. Taking Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as a case study, this paper constructs three comprehensive evaluation index systems of the tourism industry, new urbanization and environmental health system, and analyzes and compares the weights of various indicators in the three fields of tourism economy, new urbanization and environmental health system in Guangxi by using the entropy weight TOPSIS method. The coupling coordination model was used to measure the coupling degree and coordination degree of the tourism industry, new urbanization and environmental health system construction in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from 2009 to 2021. The empirical results show that the weights of various indicators change with the development of the social economy. The comprehensive efficacy index of Guangxi’s tourism industry has increased year by year for 11 consecutive years; At the end of the evaluation period, after the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, the evaluation index of the tourism industry, new urbanization and environmental health system all showed a downward trend to varying degrees. Before the pandemic, the coupling coordination type of the three subsystems generally experienced a transformation of “moderate dissonance-reluctant coordination-primary coordination-intermediate coordination,” but the overall development level was still poor. After the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, the coupling and coordination between the three has been reduced to a state of poor coordination. Because of the above research conclusions, this study proposes to make full use of the important time node of the post-epidemic era and proposes to actively promote the development of the tourism industry, promote the upgrading of the industrial structure, use digital empowerment of the economic form, optimize the environmental health system and other targeted countermeasures to keep the coupling degree and coordination between the three within a reasonable range. This ensures the sustainable development of social systems in the region. This study has made some contributions to the development of high-quality tourism and a healthy environment. First of all, it enriches the content of the environmental health system. This study takes the ecological environment and atmospheric environment in the environmental health system as the entry point and adds the index content of the environmental health evaluation system, which provides a certain supplement for the relevant research on the environmental health system strength. Secondly, the relationship between the tourism industry, new urbanization and environmental health is analyzed and into a unified theoretical framework. This study takes the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which is rich in tourism resources, as a case study site, and innovatively explores the coupling and coordination relationship among the tourism industry, new urbanization and environmental health system in the case site. Finally, it provides targeted countermeasures for the sustainable development path of the three systems of tourism industry, new urbanization and environmental health in the case site in the future. It is of positive practical significance to compare the coupling and coordination degree between the three, realize the coordinated, orderly, and healthy development of the three in the region, and provide operational suggestions for the upgrading of the tourism industry structure, the benign development of new urbanization, and the formulation of environmental health system policies.

We present the results of two population surveys conducted 10 years apart (December 2010–February 2011 and December 2020–January 2021) of the Critically Endangered white-headed langur Trachypithecus leucocephalus in the Chongzuo White-Headed Langur National Nature Reserve, Guangxi Province, China. In the first survey, we recorded 818 individuals in 105 groups and 16 solitary adult males. In the second survey, we recorded 1,183 individuals in 128 groups and one solitary adult male. As a result of government policies, poaching for food and traditional medicine is no longer a primary threat to these langurs. However, severe forest loss and fragmentation caused by human activities could limit any future increase of this langur population.

In order to master the leading agricultural economic industry development situation. In this paper, the planting area and total output data of sugarcane, citrus, mulberry cocoon and banana industries in Guangxi from 2011 to 2021 were obtained through the official website of the National Bureau of Statistics, and the individual output of different industries was calculated, the development and change of different industries was studied based on planting area, yield and yield per unit area. Statistical analysis found that the planting area and yield of sugarcane, citrus, and mulberry cocoon ranked first in the country. The scale of sugarcane cultivation has shown a downward trend, and the yield per unit area of sugarcane has increased year by year. The scale of citrus cultivation has shown a trend of growth, and the yield per unit area of citrus has steadily increased. The planting scale of mulberry trees showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing, and the yield per unit area of mulberry cocoon is relatively stable. The banana planting area ranks third in the country, and the yield and unit yield rank second in the country. The trend of planting scale reduction is obvious, and the unit yield increases year by year. Although Guangxi’s leading agricultural economic industry has achieved good results, there are still outstanding problems such as unbalanced industrial development, backward technology, lack of independent brands and short industrial chain. It is suggested to further strengthen government support and guidance, strengthen scientific and technological innovation, strengthen technical training and strengthen enterprise cultivation, so as to promote the sustainable development of Guangxi’s leading agricultural economic industry. Simple Summary: The superfamily Eriophyoidea includes more than 5000 species worldwide and is a group of phytophagous mites that has an important influence on the agricultural economy. Aceria is a rich genus of more than 1000 species that belongs to the family Eriophyidae, which is distributed throughout the whole world. Here, three new species, Aceria bischofiaesp. nov., Aceria cryptocaryaesp. nov., and Aceria buddlejaesp. nov., from Guangxi and Chongqing Province, China (the Oriental realm), are described and illustrated. Three new Aceria species from South China are described and illustrated. Aceria bischofiaesp. nov. was collected on Bischofia javanica Blume (Phyllanthaceae), inducing galls on surfaces of the leaves; Aceria cryptocaryaesp. nov. was collected on Cryptocarya metcalfiana Allen (Lauraceae), causing the formation of erinea on the undersurface of the leaves; and Aceria buddlejaesp. nov. was collected as a vagrant on Buddleja lindleyana Fort. Background: Cuspidevia Jäch & Boukal, 1995 is a member of the tribe Macronychini which has the following features: antennae short, 6-10 segmented, aedeagus long and cylindrical, paramere very small, slender or lacking. This genus currently comprises only three species. All species are distributed in China. New information: Cuspidevia pilosus sp. nov. is reported from Guangdong, Guangxi and Jiangxi Provinces in China. Habitus and diagnostic features of the new species are illustrated. Sustainable development has become a scientific and decision-making consensus in countries and regions around the world. The current research on sustainable development mainly focuses on urban areas with a high level of economic development and intensive land use. Small-scale research, especially for underdeveloped areas, is required to reveal the spatial patterns and differences within administrative units. This study focuses on 1241 towns in Guangxi to assess the sustainable development process and variations at the township scale from 2014 to 2020 by using the entropy method, the coupled coordination degree method, and cluster analysis. The results show that the average sustainable development goal composite index (SDGCI) of towns in Guangxi is around 0.12, and their overall sustainable development level is low. The SDGCI of towns in the central region shows an increasing trend, while that in the northern and southern regions shows a decreasing trend. Then, the SDGs are divided into three systems, namely people, planet, and prosperity. The prosperity system contributes the most to the overall SDGCI, and the low values of the people and planet systems are the reason for the low level of sustainable development in Guangxi. The coupling degree of the SDGCI among the three systems is at a high level, and the level of coupling coordination degree is good, which indicates high consistency and close linkage of the towns in Guangxi when pursuing the SDGs. The results of hierarchical cluster analysis show that towns in Guangxi can be divided into three categories to adapt to different features based on SDGCI values. The assessment of SDG process in towns in Guangxi could guide local governments to refine their development policy, formulate and adjust development strategies in a targeted manner, and promote balanced and sustainable development under townships. Mangrove forests play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance in coastal regions. Accurately assessing changes in the ecosystem service value (ESV) of these mangrove forests requires more precise distribution data and an appropriate set of evaluation methods. In this study, we accurately mapped the spatial distribution data and patterns of mangrove forests in Guangxi province in 2016 and 2020, using 10 m spatial resolution Sentinel-2 imagery, and conducted a comprehensive evaluation of ESV provided by mangrove forests. The results showed that (1) from 2016 to 2020, mangrove forests in Guangxi demonstrated a positive development trend and were undergoing a process of recovery. The area of mangrove forests in Guangxi increased from 6245.15 ha in 2016 to 6750.01 ha in 2020, with a net increase of 504.81 ha, which was mainly concentrated in Lianzhou Bay, Tieshan Harbour, and Dandou Bay; (2) the ESV of mangrove forests was USD 363.78 million in 2016 and USD 390.74 million in 2020; (3) the value of fishery, soil conservation, wave absorption, and pollution purification comprises the largest proportions of the ESV of mangrove forests. This study provides valuable insights and information to enhance our understanding of the relationship between the spatial pattern of mangrove forests and their ecosystem service value. The formation age, characteristics of zircons and the source of breccia in the lower section of Xidong Group volcano breccias in the upper Cretaceous Formation from Shuiwen Basin(Guangxi) and its geological significance are studied via the zircon U-Pb geochronology and petrography. The volcanic breccias are mainly composed of abundant sandstone breccias and metamorphic sandstone breccias, magma fragments, glasses, and fine felsic minerals. The U-Pb dating results of zircons are mainly from 418 to 469 Ma, with the younger ages at 107, 104 and 90 Ma. The Th/U ratios of zircons are greater than 0. 1, and chondrite normalised REE patterns of zircons for volcanic breccias has obvious positive Ce and negative Eu anomalies, indicating that they are magmatic zircons. The study of zircon morphology shows that the older zircons have a high psephicity, with their zonings not clear, the younger zircons a low psephicity, but their zonings relatively developed. Regional geological data show that the U-Pb ages of clastic zircons obtained from the metamorphic sandstones originally divided into the Neoproterozoic are from 393 to 456 Ma. Therefore, this paper believes that the zircons at 418-469 Ma in the lower part of Xidong Group in Upper Cretaceous Formation are not the diagenetic ages of the volcanic breccias. The zircons in this age range may come from the sandstone breccia of the Lower Cretaceous or from the metamorphic sandstone breccia that was once thought to be of the Neoproterozoic. The zircon age of 90 Ma probably represents the age of deep magmatic eruption activity before the formation of volcanic breccia in the lower part of Xidong Group in the Upper Cretaceous. Beishan lead-zinc deposit in Guangxi is the largest lead-zinc deposit discovered in the northern regions of Guangxi. With a long mining history, it has provided good conditions for studying the morphology of the ore-body. Based on field geological surveys and previous research results, this paper believes that the formation of the deposit has undergone three stages of structural deformation from early to late: interlayer sliding, dipping folds, and faulting. By analyzing the morphology of the orebody, it finds that the deposit has different lateral directions and angles from south to north, the southern orebody lying to the southwest with a lateral angle of 20°. The central orebody extends towards north-south direction with no obvious lateral angle, and the northern orebody lies to the northeast with a lateral angle of 10°. It is believed that the morphological and genetic types of the orebodies in the deposit are karst type orebodies (No. Ⅰ orebody group), structural karst type ore bodies (No. Ⅱ orebody group), structural type orebodies (No. Ⅲ orebody group), and fluid type orebodies (a small number of small orebodies). By studying the type of orebody morphology, ore-forming structure, orebody force, orebody force direction, orebody strength, orebody rhythm, orebody spatiotemporal and other structural oreforming parameters, it is comprehensively evaluated that the deposit has good ore-forming conditions, and the orebody morphology level reaches “good”. It is speculated that the formation of the deposit should have occurred during or before the Indosinian period. Based on the evaluation results of orebody morphology, a prospecting model is established, and it is pointed out that the next prospecting direction in the mining area should be to search for structural orebodies in the deep lateral direction of the known Ⅲ orebody group and along the upper or lower walls of the NNE trending F3 fault. The combination of karst high geological background and mining activities in northwest Guangxi leads to increase soil pollution risk, which poses a potential threat to food and ecological security. Study on the spatial distribution characteristics and bioavailability of cadmium(Cd)in soil profiles in this region can effectively assess the pollution status and ecological risk of Cd in soil. Soil samples were collected from rice field profiles(0-100 cm)at three different positions within Dachang mining area, located in the typical karst region of Nandan county, Hechi city, Guangxi. The distribution characteristics and bioavailability of Cd in soil profiles were analyzed, and the ecological risk and pollution status of Cd in three soil profiles were evaluated by using the enrichment index method and risk assessment index. The results show that the vertical distributions of Cd contents are different among the three soil profiles, and the soil Cd is significantly enriched in the surface(0-20 cm), with 86.7% of samples showing soil enrichment factor values over 2, indicating that there is obvious accumulation of heavy metal Cd from human sources in the soil surface. According to Soil Environmental Quality: Risk Control Standard for Soil Contamination of Agricultural Land(GB 15618—2018), the Cd contents of some samples in the two soil profiles far from the mining area exceed the screening value of soil pollution risk of agricultural land, and in the soil profile adjacent to the mining area, the Cd contents of 90% soil samples surpass the pollution risk control value for agricultural land. The Cd content of soil profiles in the study area is mainly controlled by the superimposed effects of multiple factors such as geological background, agricultural cultivation and mining activities. The difference in the content of soil profiles mainly depends on the distance to the mining area(the closer the distance to the mining area, the higher the Cd content), while the same profile is primarily influenced by pH value and organic matter content. The Cd predominantly exists in the Fe-Mn binding state, ion exchange state, and residue state within the soil matrix. The bioavailability of Cd is primarily influenced by total Cd content, pH value, organic matter content and fixation of Fe-Mn oxides in soil, showing a relatively high availability in soil profile and soil surface far from the mining area. [Objective] To study the evolution characteristics of available phosphorus (AP) content in the surface soil of Guangxi from 1984 to 2019, providing scientific basis for rational formulation of crop fertilization management measures and improvement of soil fertility. [Method] Based on the data of Guangxi second soil survey project (1984), Guangxi formula fertilization project (2009) and the long-term positioning experiment data (2010-2019), geostatistics, dynamic attitude and distribution index were used to analyze the spatio-temporal evolution of AP content in surface soil in Guangxi and its distribution at different altitudes. [Result] From 1984 to 2019, the overall AP content in the surface soil of Guangxi has greatly increased. In 1984, the surface soil with low AP content (less than 10.0 mg/kg) accounted for about 80.00% of the total soil area of Guangxi. In 2019, the surface soil AP content was concentrated in the soil area of 10.0-40.0 mg/kg, accounting for 97.00% of the total soil area of Guangxi. The proportion of soil area classified as grade 2(20.0 mg/kg < AP content ≤40.0 mg/kg) and grade 3 (10.0 mg/kg < AP content ≤20.0 mg/kg) increased from 2. 47% and 4. 12% in 1984 to 43.38% and 48.57% in 2019, respectively. In terms of the rate of change, the soil area with grade 6(AP content ≤3.0 mg/kg) had the most rapid decrease with a dynamic index of 2.82%. On the other hand, the soil area with grade 2 had the most significant increase with a dynamic index of 47. 28%. The overall rate of change showed the following order: grade 2 > grade 3 > grade 1 (AP content >40.0 mg/kg) > grade 6 > grade 5 (3.0 mg/kg grade 4(5.0 mg/kg < AP content ≤10.0 mg/kg). At different altitudes, the distribution index curves of soil areas with grade 1 and grade 6 experienced significant changes. In 1984, the distribution index of soil area with grade 1 at five elevation zones was 0.07,2.00,2. 22,1.69 and 0. 16, respectively. In 2019, the distribution index changed to 2. 66, 0.25,0,0 and 0, respectively. Similarly, in 1984, the distribution index of soil area with grade 6 at the five elevation zones was 1.33, 1. 15,0.96,0.80 and 0.90, respectively. In 2019, the distribution index changed to 0. 12,0.08, 1.94,7.95 and 1.76, respectively. [Conclusion] From 1984 to 2019, significant changes occurred in the level and spatial distribution pattern of AP content in the surface soil of Guangxi. In most areas, the AP content in the surface soil has significant increased and is mainly concentrated between 10.0 to 40.0 mg/kg. Soil type and altitude are important influencing factors, and human interference is among the direct reasons leading to the significant increase in AP content in the surface soil. Therefore, in the process of crop production in Guangxi, scientific fertilization should be further promoted, the proportion of organic fertilizer application should be increased, and the efficiency of phosphate fertilizer application should be improved. In this study, metabolite maps were conducted on leaf samples accessions of Dracaena sp. in Guangxi (C6, C13, CZ4, JX2, RM1, and BM3) and six related species including D. angustifolia (CH), D. elliptica (XZ), D. cochinchinensis (CB), D. cambodiana (HN), D. marginata (HB), and Yucca schidigera (SL). We identified 2,971 compounds including carboxylic acids and their derivatives, organooxygen compounds, prenol lipids, benzenes and their substituted derivatives, and flavonoids. Of those, 73 characteristic secondary metabolites were screened out by weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA). Pterostilbene, 9-cis-retinal, and dracorubin were unique to the Dracaena sp. in Guangxi, and 3-hydroxytridecanoic acid and chrysin were highly abundant in them. An in vitro antioxidant activity assay disclosed that all 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH) scavenging rates and all fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) rates were in the ranges of 75–87 % and 3.10–3.25 μmol/mL, respectively, for the Dracaena sp. in Guangxi. Hence, the latter have relatively high and stable foliar antioxidant activity. A network pharmacological analysis of the top 20 metabolites in Dracaena leaf and their 446 antioxidant-related disease targets revealed ten core action targets, including GAPDH, AKT1, MAPK3, VEGFA, CASP3, TNF, MAPK1, SRC, EGFR, and MAPK8. An antioxidant-related compound-target-pathway network was constructed and verified by molecular docking. The results of this study provide a theoretical basis for mining and exploiting the foliar secondary metabolites of Dracaena.

Fourteen species of vascular plants are reported as new records in Guangxi. They are Rumex obtusifolius L., Impatiens polyneura K. M. Liu, Pilea sinocrassifolia C. J. Chen, Synotis fulvipes (Y. Ling) C. Jeffrey & Y. L. Chen, Primulina minor F. Wen & Y. G. Wei, Hanceola exserta Y. Z. Sun ex C. Y. Wu, Isodon longitubus (Miq.) Kudô, Keiskea australis C. Y. Wu & H. W. Li, Sciaphila ramosa Fukuy. & T. Suzuki, Eriocaulon decemflorum Maxim., Lilium concolor Salisb., Arisaema silvestrii Pamp., Bulbophyllum tipula Aver., Isachne sylvestris Ridl. And the citation and geographical distribution of each species are also listed in this paper. The discovery of these new records not only provides new data for the study of floristic geography in Guangxi, but also has important practical significance for the precise implementation of full coverage protection of native plants.

Based on literature research, specimen identification and field investigation, we systematically cleared up the early researches of Sedum L. and conducted an overview for the species diversity of Sedum in Guangxi. There are 17 species were confirmed, among which six species were newly recorded. The research brief histories of Sedum taxonomy in Guangxi were summarized, information for S. polytrichoides Hemsl. was revised. Six newly recorded species of Sedum were reported here, which were S. leblancae Hamet., S. lipingense R. B. Zhang, D. Tan & R. X. Wei, S. lungtsuanense S. H. Fu, S. makinoi Maxim., S. subtile Miq., S. tosaense Makino, and the morphological feature diagnosis and color photographs for these newly recorded species were provided. The species diversity and the potential utilization of Sedum in Guangxi were discussed, and key for species and the distribution of each taxa in Guangxi were provided. This study provides background information for the subsequent research and utilization of this genus.

Carex L. as a super large genus with a high species diversity in the world, 100 species of Carex have been recorded from Guangxi at present. However, the resources of Carex in Guangxi are still unclear, and lack of research and investigation. Based on specimens identification, literature research and field investigation, we systematically cleared up the early researches of Carex in Guangxi, and summerized the research brief histories of Carex taxonomy in Guangxi. The genus Carex in Guangxi with high endemism, we focused on 16 taxa of Carex published based on types collected from Guangxi, verified the accuracy of their type locality, supplement distribution information, and made sure that eight species of Carex endemic to Guangxi. Eight newly recorded species of Carex in Guangxi are reported here, which are C. alopecuroides D. Don, C. chungii Z. P. Wang, C. hirtiutriculata L. K. Dai, C. insignis Boott, C. nubigena D. Don, C. sendaica Franch., C. sociata Boott and C. transversa Boott. The morphological feature diagnosis and voucher specimens for these newly recorded species are provided. We also discussed the species diversity, endemism, geographical distribution, and the potential utilization of Carex in Guangxi. The results provide background data for the subsequent research and sustainable utilization of Carex.

Guangxi Mulun National Nature Reserve is located in the crisscross zone of Dian-Qian-Gui flora and south China flora, also is the heartland of the transition zone about Palaeoarctic flora and Palaeotropical flora. It plays an irreplaceable role in biodiversity conservation areas of China. In order to explore the plant species diversity in Guangxi Mulun National Nature Reserve, the composition and characteristics of vascular plant diversity was studied based on historical literatures, field investigations, specimens collection and identification, and data statistical analysis. The results were as follows: (1) This reserve had 1 735 species of vascular plants, including 218 species of lycophytes and ferns, 1 517 species of seed plants, with abundant vascular plant diversity and complex floristic composition. (2) This reserve had 486 species endemic to China, 56 species endemic to Guangxi, and 262 species endemic to karst areas, with significant plant endemism. (3) This reserve had 68 species of national key protected wild plants, 153 species of Guangxi key protected wild plants, 4 species of extremely small population wild plants in China, 108 threatened plants, and 144 plants listed in the appendix of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), with relative high degree of rare and endangered plants. Based on the results, Guangxi Mulun National Nature Reserve is an important gene bank of karst plants. It has extremely important conservation value. This study also provides important basic data for construction and management of this Reserve, protection and sustainable utilization of plants, and other scientific research works.

Abstract Background After decades of rapid economic development, anemia remains a significant public health challenge globally. This study aimed to estimate the associations of sociodemographic, dietary, and body composition factors with anemia among the Zhuang in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Methods Our study population from the baseline survey of the Guangxi ethnic minority Cohort Study of Chronic Diseases consisted of 13,465 adults (6,779 women and 6,686 men) aged 24–82 years. A validated interviewer-administered laptop-based questionnaire system was used to collect information on participants’ sociodemographic, lifestyle, and dietary factors. Each participant underwent a physical examination, and hematological indices were measured. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression was used to select the variables, and logistic regression was applied to estimate the associations of independent risk factors with anemia. Results The overall prevalences of anemia in men and women were 9.63% (95% CI: 8.94–10.36%) and 18.33% (95% CI: 17.42─19.28%), respectively. LASSO and logistic regression analyses showed that age was positively associated with anemia for both women and men. For diet in women, red meat consumption for 5–7 days/week (OR = 0.79, 95% CI: 0.65–0.98, p = 0.0290) and corn/sweet potato consumption for 5–7 days/week (OR = 0.73, 95% CI: 0.55–0.96, p = 0.0281) were negatively associated with anemia. For men, fruit consumption for 5–7 days/week (OR = 0.75, 95% CI: 0.60–0.94, p = 0.0130) and corn/sweet potato consumption for 5–7 days/week (OR = 0.66, 95% CI: 0.46–0.91, p = 0.0136) were negatively correlated with anemia. Objective To investigate the mutation characteristics and influencing factors of ethambutol (EMB) resistance gene of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region, and to provide evidence for molecular diagnosis and clinical treatment of tuberculosis. Methods A total of 655 strains of Myco⁃ bacterium tuberculosis (52 ethambutol resistant strains and 603 ethambutol sensitive strains) were collected continuously from 30 TB drug resistance monitoring sites in Guangxi in 2018-2019, and the mutation characteristics and influencing factors of ethambutol resistant genes were analyzed by whole genome sequencing. Results Among 655 strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, 54 strains had ethambutol drug resistance gene mutation, the mutation rate was 8.24% (54/655) . Among 52 EMB-resistant strains detected by proportional method, 21 had gene mutation, the mutation rate was 40.38% (21/52), and 33 of 603 EMB-sensitive strains had gene mutation, the mutation rate was 5.47% (33/603) . The gene mutation rate in drug-resistant strains was higher than that in sensitive strains (X² = 77.133, P = 0.000) . The coincidence rate of EMB drug resistance phenotype and gene mutation was 40.38% (21/52), and the results of the two tests were not highly consistent (Kappa = 0.343, P < 0.001) . The mutant genes of 54 strains were embA, embB and embC, and there were 20 mutant forms, among which 29 were mutated at unit point, accounting for 53.70% (29/54), and 25 were mutated at joint site, accounting for 46.30% (25/54) . Among the unit point mutations, embB306 (35.19%) had the highest mutation proportion, followed by embB497 (5.56%) and embB406 (3.70%) . Among the joint site mutations, embC270+embB378 had the highest mutation proportion (22.22%), The second was embB306+embA-12 (3.70%) . Gender, anti-tuberculosis treatment history, genotype and MDR might be related to EMB gene mutation (X² = 9.388, P = 0.004；X² = 27.084, P = 0.000；X² = 6.671, P = 0.010；X² = 68.826, P = 0.000) . Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that male (OR = 6.150), retreatment (OR = 2.636) and multidrug resistance (OR = 7.333) may be risk factors for EMB resistance gene mutation, and Beijing genotype may be a protective factor for EMB resistance gene mutation (OR = 0.511) . Conclusion EMB resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis is related to embA, embB and embC gene mutations, and the incidence of EMB resistance phenotype is not high. In view of the characteristics of Guangxi, such as the tropical ocean to the south, Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to the west, and large topographic fluctuations, and the temporal variation characteristics of the temperature decline rate in the vertical direction of the grid height, the weighted average temperature model and temperature decline rate model at each grid height were established by analyzing the weighted average temperature(Tm ) at the grid height of the MERRA-2 reanalysis data grid from 2014 to 2016. Furthermore, a MERRA-2 weighted average temperature model(GXTm ) was established for Guangxi region. Using the data calculated from radiosonde stations in 2017 as reference values, the accuracy of GXTm model was tested and compared with Bevis model, Eastern China model, Guangxi meteorological parameter model, GPT2w-1 model and GPT2w-5 model. The results show that the mean deviation(Bias) and root mean square error(RMSE) of the GXTm model are 0. 26 and 2. 51 K, respectively. RMSE of the GXTm model is improved by 32%, 34%, 17%, and 46%, which higher than that of the Bevis model, the Eastern China model, the GPT2w-1 model, and the GPT2w-5 model. Ling)C. Jeffrey & Y. L. Chen, Primulina minor F. Wen & Y. G. Wei, Hanceola exserta Y. Z. Sun ex C. Y. Wu, Isodon longitubus(Miq.)Kudô, Keiskea australis C. Y. Wu & H. W. Li, Sciaphila ramosa Fukuy. & T. Suzuki, Eriocaulon decemflorum Maxim., Lilium concolor Salisb., Arisaema silvestrii Pamp., Bulbophyllum tipula Aver., Isachne sylvestris Ridl. And the citation and geographical distribution of each species are also listed in this paper. The discovery of these new records not only provides new data for the study of floristic geography in Guangxi, but also has important practical significance for the precise implementation of full coverage protection of native plants. Carex L. as a super large genus with a high species diversity in the world, 100 species of Carex have been recorded from Guangxi at present. However, the resources of Carex in Guangxi are still unclear, and lack of research and investigation. Based on specimens identification, literature research and field investigation, we systematically cleared up the early researches of Carex in Guangxi, and summerized the research brief histories of Carex taxonomy in Guangxi. The genus Carex in Guangxi with high endemism, we focused on 16 taxa of Carex published based on types collected from Guangxi, verified the accuracy of their type locality, supplement distribution information, and made sure that eight species of Carex endemic to Guangxi. Eight newly recorded species of Carex in Guangxi are reported here, which are C. alopecuroides D. Don, C. chungii Z. P. Wang, C. hirtiutriculata L. K. Dai, C. insignis Boott, C. nubigena D. Don, C. sendaica Franch., C. sociata Boott and C. transversa Boott. The morphological feature diagnosis and voucher specimens for these newly recorded species are provided. We also discussed the species diversity, endemism, geographical distribution, and the potential utilization of Carex in Guangxi. Guangxi Mulun National Nature Reserve is located in the crisscross zone of Dian-Qian-Gui flora and south China flora, also is the heartland of the transition zone about Palaeoarctic flora and Palaeotropical flora. It plays an irreplaceable role in biodiversity conservation areas of China. In order to explore the plant species diversity in Guangxi Mulun National Nature Reserve, the composition and characteristics of vascular plant diversity was studied based on historical literatures, field investigations, specimens collection and identification, and data statistical analysis. The results were as follows:(1)This reserve had 1 735 species of vascular plants, including 218 species of lycophytes and ferns, 1 517 species of seed plants, with abundant vascular plant diversity and complex floristic composition.(2)This reserve had 486 species endemic to China, 56 species endemic to Guangxi, and 262 species endemic to karst areas, with significant plant endemism.(3)This reserve had 68 species of national key protected wild plants, 153 species of Guangxi key protected wild plants, 4 species of extremely small population wild plants in China, 108 threatened plants, and 144 plants listed in the appendix of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of wild Fauna and Flora(CITES), with relative high degree of rare and endangered plants. Based on the results, Guangxi Mulun National Nature Reserve is an important gene bank of karst plants. It has extremely important conservation value. This study also provides important basic data for construction and management of this Reserve, protection and sustainable utilization of plants, and other scientific research works. Based on literature research, specimen identification and field investigation, we systematically cleared up the early researches of Sedum L. and conducted an overview for the species diversity of Sedum in Guangxi. There are 17 species were confirmed, among which six species were newly recorded. The research brief histories of Sedum taxonomy in Guangxi were summarized, information for S. polytrichoides Hemsl. was revised. Six newly recorded species of Sedum were reported here, which were S. leblancae Hamet., S. lipingense R. B. Zhang, D. Tan & R. X. Wei, S. lungtsuanense S. H. Fu, S. makinoi Maxim., S. subtile Miq., S. tosaense Makino, and the morphological feature diagnosis and color photographs for these newly recorded species were provided. The species diversity and the potential utilization of Sedum in Guangxi were discussed, and key for species and the distribution of each taxa in Guangxi were provided. [Objective] The study aimed to identify the viral pathogen of Capsicum annuum L. in Baise, Guangxi province and the results would provide theoretical basis for the effective prevention and control of the pepper viral disease. [Method] Four samples of C. annuum L. with leaf rolling and crinkling symptoms were collected from Baise, Guangxi province in 2022. The samples were identified and analyzed by polymerase chain reaction(PCR), gene cloning, nucleotide comparison, phylogentic tree construction. [Result] The PCR amplicons with expected size of 570 bp were obtained from 4 samples, the PCR products were sequenced and the sequences were analyzed in GenBank, the four sequences showed high nucleotide identities with tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) and papaya leaf curl China virus (PaLCuCNV) isolates avilable in GenBank, respectively, and the results above confirmed that all of the four samples were infected by begomoviruses. To obtained the whole genome of the virus, two pairs of primers were designed based on the TYLCV (GenBank No. : MG904859 and KY783940) and PaLCuCNV (GenBank No. : KU892661 and MW779523) isolates available in GenBank. The PCR products were purified and cloned into the pMD18T vector, positive clones were selected for gene sequencing. Three whole genome sequences were obtained from two positive samples. Two of the three sequences had 91 % nucleotide identities with some of isolates of TYLCV available in GenBank, and one sequence had 91 % nucleotide identities with the some of isolates of PaLCuCNV available in GenBank. Following the guidelines of the classification of begomoviruses, the viruses infecting pepper in Guangxi were identified as TYLCV and PaLCuCNV. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the TYLCV Guangxi pepper isolate BS66-l branched with TYLCV SGl (Accession No. : MT969010, host: tomato) isolate, indicating their close evolutionary relationship; and BS67-1 branched with GX isolate and BS3 isolate (Accession No. : MW389934 and MT375610, host: tomato), indicating their close evolutionary relationship; The PaLCuCNV Guangxi pepper isolate BS66-2 clustered with PaLCuCNV GX0l (Accession No. : MW779523, host: tomato) isolate in a small branch, indicating their close evolutionary relationship. [Conclusion] TYLCV and PaLCuCNV are the pathogens that infect C. annuum (L.) in Guangxi. And this is the first report of the begomoviruses infecting C. annuum L. in Guangxi. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study examined the nexus between per capita gross ocean product (GOP) growth and total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), and chemical oxygen demand (COD) discharged from land-based sources in Guangxi and China. Multiple pollution indicators, such as red tide area (RTA), seawater quality area (SWQA), and eutrophication area (EA), were used as marine environmental quality indicators, and annual time series data during the period 2010–2019 were employed. The data were analyzed using the environment Kuznets curve fitting model. Results showed that the average annual growth rates of the GOP and gross domestic product (GDP) of China were 9.88% and 10.79%, respectively, and those of Guangxi were 13.62% and 10.02%, respectively. The average annual GOP ratio in GDP for Guangxi and China was 6.59 and 9.47, respectively. The marine tertiary industry was the most dominant marine industry; it accounted for 41.12–50.01% (mean: 46.12%) of Guangxi's GDP and 47–60% (mean: 52.47%) of China's GDP. The TP, COD, SWQA, and EA of Guangxi and the TP, TN, COD, SWQA, and EA of China displayed inverted U-shaped GOP growth. These findings indicate that the marine economic growth and marine environmental quality of Guangxi and China are harmonious. However, TN increased synchronously with marine economic growth in Guangxi. Therefore, the industrial structure must be further optimized, pollutant discharge management must be strengthened, and the harmonious development of Guangxi's marine economy and marine environment needs to be promoted. Objective To investigate the content and distribution of muscle and fat in middle-aged and elderly people in Youjiang District of Baise City, and to provide basic data for in-depth study of anthropological in Baise City. Methods A total of 781 permanent residents (living continuously for more than or equal to 5 years) were randomly selected from Youjiang District of Baizi City in Guangxi, including 333 males and 448 females. The residents who were over 40 years old were divided into age groups, and their height, waist and hip circumference and body composition were measured. The muscle and fat content of middle-aged and elderly people in different genders were investigated.SPSS20.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data. Results A total of 781 middle-aged and elderly people completed the survey. The muscle mass of men was higher than that of women [ (45.21±5.54) kg vs. (33.78±3.58) kg],and the body fat rate was lower than that of women [ (21.76±5.91) % vs. (31.51±6.58) %].The muscle mass, fat mass, and body fat rate between males and females in the same age group were compared, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.01) .Conclusion The total muscle mass of middle-aged and elderly male and female residents in Youjiang District of Baise City decreases with age, while the body fat rate increases with age. [Objective] To clarify the formula of high-carbon-based organic fertilizer suitable for tobacco areas in Guangxi. [Method]Field experiments were carried out in Baise, Hezhou and Hechi tobacco areas of Guangxi by different fertilization treatments (no fertilization, conventional fertilization, conventional fertilization with different formulas of high-carbon base fertilizer). [Result]In Baise tobacco area, conventional fertilization + star anise high-carbon-based fertilizer was helpful for tobacco plant growth. It could promote the development of tobacco roots, and the total root length, root volume and root tip number were higher than those of the control. It could improve the chemical composition of post-roast cigarette and increase the potassium-to-chloride ratio and glyco-alkali ratio of post-roast tobacco; It could improve the economic indicators of post-flue-cured tobacco, increase the proportion of high-grade tobacco, output and output value; The pH was within the appropriate range; it could increase the content of nitrate, ammonium nitrogen and available phosphorus in the root surrounding soil, which could increase by 55.29%, 35.98% and 43.86% compared with conventional fertilization. In Hezhou tobacco area, the fertilization treatment of conventional fertilization + high-carbon based fertilizer No. 3 was helpful for the opening of the upper leaf, and the leaf length and leaf width increased by 7 and 3 cm compared with conventional fertilization. Compared with conventional fertilization, root length and root volume increased by 12.48% and 52.53%, respectively. To assess the effectiveness of three-level prevention and control of thalassemia, we routinely collect samples from transfusion-dependent individuals and perform genetic analysis. Here, we report on a 10-year-old boy requiring blood transfusions with routine thalassemia gene test results of αα/αα, and βCD41/42/βN, but he had thalassemia-like changes in his appearance and a high need for frequent blood transfusions, suggesting a case of thalassemia major in childhood. Given these equivocal results, samples from the family members were collected for further analysis. A multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification assay was used to detect a multicopy number variant of the α globin gene cluster in the proband. The variant was detected as a long fragment repeat of 380 Kb using CNV assay technique, which contains the entire α globin gene cluster, describing it as αααα380/αα. Analysis of family members suggested that both the brother and mother of the proband carried the variant, and both MCV and MCH values were reduced in carriers. Individuals carrying multiple copy number variants of the α globin gene cluster exist in the population. Individuals carrying such variants who are also heterozygous for the β0 thalassemia variant result in an imbalance in the α/β chain ratio, potentially leading to the creation of individuals with a severe anemia genotype. Most secondary prevention and control laboratories currently do not include variants with increased α gene copy number in their testing, which is one of the blind spots of prevention and control efforts. In order to provide more accurate genetic counseling to test subjects, especially in regions with high rates of thalassemia carriage, testing laboratories should pay attention to individual genotype-phenotype matches to avoid the under-detection of such variants. 【Objective】To explore the resistance and genetic diversity of 76 common wild rice germplasm resources to brown planthopper in Guangxi, and to provide reference for the rational utilization of excellent resistant rice germplasm resources.【Method】The resistance to brown planthopper at seedling stage was identified in 76 common wild rice germplasm resources from 8 populations in Lingui, Guigang, Yongning, Bobai, Hengzhou, Fusui, Yulin and Fangchenggang. The genetic diversity of the tested materials was analyzed using 62 SSR primers and population genetic structure was analyzed using Structure ver 2.3.4, and cluster diagram was constructed. The genetic differentiation coefficient and gene flow among populations were analyzed by GenAlEx 6.5, and molecular variance analysis was performed for different populations.【Result】The results showed that 7 materials showed high resistance, 34 materials were resistant, 31 materials were moderately resistant, and 4 materials were moderately susceptible. In the genetic diversity analysis, 669 alleles were detected in the 76 materials, with an average of 10.79 alleles per locus, and the allelic variation ranged from 4 to 19, including 348 rare alleles, accounting for 52.02% of the total, with an average of 5.613 per locus; the main allele frequency variation ranged from 0.158 to 0.855, with an average of 0.373. Nei’s genetic diversity index (He) gene ranged from 0.260 to 0.894 with an average of 0.754, and the variation of polymorphic information content (PIC) ranged from 0.248 to 0.885 with an average of 0.727. He of the eight populations were: Fangchenggang ＞ Yongning ＞ Guigang ＞ Bobai ＞ Fusui ＞ Hengzhou ＞ Yulin ＞ Lingui, and resistance was not significantly correlated with population latitude and He (P＞0.05), and the correlation coefficient (r) between population latitude and population He was -0.822, reaching a significant level (P＜0.05).
