SBR is an important modifier in self-adhesive polymer modified asphalt waterproofing roll. The different content of SBR has obvious influence on the performance of self-adhesive polymer modified asphalt. It was found by experiment that with the increase amount of SBR, the low temperature flexibility of self-adhesive polymer modified asphalt increased, the sticky time expand, and the peeling strength increased. The results show that SBR can completely replace terpene resin in self-adhesive polymer modified asphalt formulation. Without affecting its heat resistance, SBR can not only improve its low temperature flexibility, but also significantly improve its adhesion and peeling strength, thereby improving the bonding performance of waterproofing roll.
