6. General method to digitalize multi-layer woven structure.

Abstract

As an advanced composite reinforcement, multi-layer woven fabrics are widely used in industries. However, for most nonprofessional engineers and researchers, the complexity of the spatial architecture of multi-layer woven structure (MLWS) makes it difficult to understand and apply. In order to fully utilize the advantage of the designability of MLWS, a digitalization expression is used to define the design variable of MLWS by 8 parameters. This expression has wide universality and practicability, which can parametrize all kinds of MLWSs, and characterize full-scale complex preforms. Based on this expression, a general method and process for constructing novel and complex MLWS architectures are also proposed and developed. Furthermore, a method to generate the preform jacquard pattern for the electronic jacquard system is also developed to demonstrate the application in manufacturing. This digitalization expression can be considered as the key point to connect the material design and automatic manufacturing, which can improve the design technology of multi-layer woven composite material. 9. Electrophotocatalytic Tellurosulfonylation of Alkynes for the Synthesis of β-(Telluro)vinyl Sulfones

Abstract

Difunctionalization of alkynes has gained a lot of interest in current organic chemistry. Herein, we developed an electrophotocatalytic multicomponent cascade reaction of alkynes and indoles with sulfinic acid sodium salts using elemental tellurium as the tellurium source. Using synergistic anodic oxidation and visible-light irradiation, various β-(telluro)vinyl sulfones have been prepared. This strategy features mild reaction conditions, excellent substrate scope, readily available starting materials, and great functional group tolerance.

Abstract

In permafrost regions with warm frozen soil, the pile foundation is commonly used, but most currently available models for the WFS foundation pile–soil system are either highly empirical or overcomplicated, without a simplified theoretical manner in engineering. This study derives a novel and simplified calculated model of the WFS pile–soil system. The model is formulated in terms of the shear deformation theory and load transfer method based on the rigorous deformation mechanism of the WFS foundation soil around the pile. Considering the different depth soil features and the equilibrium state of the pile–soil system, dividing warm frozen soil foundation into three regions (TPPR, ER, and BPPR) to calculate the Dp and Ds can simply obtain the total displacement of pile under different loads. The results demonstrate that the present theoretical model can well predict the WFS foundation load–displacement response of the pile. The present model provides a simple, practical, and effective approach for the estimation of the load–displacement behavior of piles installed in the WFS foundation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

20. Distribution characteristics and evolution trend of severe land subsidence areas in Tianjin City.

Abstract

Tianjin has a long history of land subsidence, which has gone through six different stages since 1923. Although as of 2020, the land subsidence in a large area of Tianjin has been mostly controlled, there are still serious subsidence areas with an annual subsidence of over 50mm. From large-scale treatment to precise prevention and control of small areas, the distribution characteristics of ground subsidence in Tianjin have shown a new situation, and the prevention and control of land subsidence is also facing new requirements. To accurately grasp the development law of ground subsidence and implement precise policies under the new situation, this paper summarizes the distribution characteristics and evolution rules of severe land subsidence areas in Tianjin by collecting and analyzing the data of ground subsidence leveling, groundwater level, and groundwater extraction in Tianjin from 2010 to 2020. The results show that the land subsidence of Tianjin has experienced three periods during the ten years from 2010 to 2020: a fluctuation period in subsidence from 2010 to 2012, a steady improvement period from 2013 to 2016, and a rapid slowdown period from 2017 to 2020. During these periods, the average amount of land subsidence dropped by 37%, and the area of severe subsidence decreased by 67%. The changes in subsidence were closely related to the amount of groundwater extraction. As of 2020, five severe subsidence areas are concentrated in the southwest of Tianjin, with a distribution range that is similar to the groundwater funnel of the deep water-bearing group. Wnt3a/β-catenin pathway plays an important role in neuropathic pain. We hypothesized that wnt3a inhibitor (iwp-2) could downregulate the expression of NR2B subunit in NMDA receptor, in order to relieve RIH.Materials and Methods: The study has 2 phases. The phase 1 study is designed by different doses of iwp-2 groups to create an appropriate iwp-2 dose used in RIH alleviation. The phase 2 study is designed to prove that the wnt3a inhibitor could downregulate the activation of the NR2B to inhibit RIH in rats. Thermal hyperalgesia (PWTL) and mechanical allodynia (PWMT) were evaluated after RIH. The area under the PWTL and PWMT curves (AUC) were calculated. The amount of activated NR2B subunit, c-fos, NF-κB, β-catenin, wnt3a and p-GSK-3β (Ser9) were detected in the lumbar spinal cord.Results: Remifentanil infusion could induce overexpression of β-catenin and wnt3a in rats. Iwp-2 (60μM, 120μM, 180μM) could dose-dependently inhibit thermal hyperalgesia and mechanical allodynia in rats. In phase 2 study, both NR2B subunit antagonist Ro25-6981 and iwp-2 decreased the amount of activated NR2B, enhanced p-GSK-3β (Ser9), reduced β-catenin, c-fos and NF-κB in the lumbar spinal cord (p < 0.001). In comparison with the group iwp-2, the group of Ro25-6981 had more benefit in reversing hyperalgesia, including higher AUC value of PWTL (p = 0.022) and PWMT (p = 0.035).Conclusion: Remifentanil exposure could induce overexpression of wnt3a and enhance the production of β-catenin in the spinal dorsal horn. Inhibition of wnt3a response was capable of attenuating RIH in alleviating hyperalgesia-related behavioral parameters, as well as reducing overexpression of c-fos, NF-κB, NR2B in spinal dorsal horn.Keywords: remifentanil, hyperalgesia, iwp-2, NR2B, wnt3a/β-catenin

Abstract

The transformation of aromatic aldehydes into aryl ketones by nickel-catalyzed cross-coupling has been developed. This transformation represents an efficient and attractive synthetic utilization of organozinc reagents. The reaction provides a mild, practical method toward the synthesis of aryl ketones which are versatile intermediates and building blocks in organic synthesis.
